tidbits of the chaos in hogwarts.
Plot drops are simple: these are storyline-related events in Hogwarts that are more easy going and restricted to smaller groups. More plots will be added as the spaces fill up and time passes. These are first come, first serve, and must be done in groups to allow inclusivity.
All of the plots are pretty open-ended, with very little restriction. Of course, you have to work with the guidelines provided in the description below. Think of these as the backbone to your threads, just as plots normally are.
A few guidelines:

» once the spots have filled up, the admins will add you in a group pm specific to your plot. there, you can discuss the plot any further if you want to add any details with your group members, or if you have any questions regarding the plot.

it's professor sebastian flint's third year teaching, and we're sure a lot of students have questions for him and his experience with fighting dark wizards, magic and dangerous creatures.
but while the professor is more than happy to share stories, he is your professor first.
for this class, you are assigned partners or groups to practice deflecting hexes or curses, starting with the bat-bogey hex.
* note: for this plot, you must use the dice room to determine the outcome of your hexes and / or counter spells.

so maybe professor longbottom's a little clumsy, and maybe he hadn't had much sleep the night before, so maybe he was just a bit absent minded that morning. one second he's demonstrating something for the class in one of the greenhouses, the next second, well... the venomous tentaculas make several swipes at him during the lecture.

slughorn's
potions
potions
once upon a time, when the famous chosen one was a student, professor horace slughorn awarded liquid luck to whoever was able to successfully make the draught of living death.
it is your turn to attempt this. the first person to successfully make one will be awarded one vial of liquid luck.
the brewing instructions are as follows:
» cut up the sophorous bean
» pour in 250 fl.oz. of water and add 5 oz. of African sea salt to the beaker. set the beaker aside after all the water has been added. be very careful not to shake or move the beaker now.
» leave the water and salt to rest for five minutes.
» slowly pour all the water into the cauldron
» with your right hand, hold the cauldron at a slight angle and pour ten drops (20 fl.oz.) of essence of wormwood.
» now with your left hand, hold the cauldron at a slightly different angle and pour another ten drops of wormwood essence.
» chop three valerian roots into small squared pieces. after cutting place in a beaker with water. leave it to settle for five minutes. your potion should not be resembling a smooth blackcurrant-coloured liquid.
» carefully pour the sophorous bean's juice into the cauldron.
» add seven drops of the reduced liquid from the beaker; make sure there are no traces or fragments of valerian root.
» stir the potion ten times clockwise; your otion should now be a light shade of lilac.
* note: for this plot, you must use the dice room to determine the success of your potion. here's the catch: you must roll for every ingredient you put in the pot.
** note: you will not have access to the half-blood prince's notes. so this is based on your character's intelligence or luck.

late one night, a group of students wanders into an unfamiliar corridor within hogwarts that is rarely mentioned in the school's history. as they explore, they begin to hear mysterious whispers and encounter strange occurrences. unbeknowns to them, the corridor is enchanged, and it holds a connection to a long-forgotten magical experiment. the students must unravel the mysteries of the whispering corridors while navigating throughs ecrets that were meant to stay hidden.

the cursed wing with an enemy within
during an ordinary school day, a group of students discovers a hidden and long-forgotten wing of hogwarts that is rumored to be cursed. as they explore the dusty halls and abandoned classrooms, they realize that the curse is not just a myth. strange occurrences and dark magic start affecting the students, and they must uncover the source of the curse to lift it before it spreads throughout the entire castle. however, an enigmatic and potentially dangerous figure emerges within the cursed wing, complicating their quest.
