the following are required to reserve your first character: 
・ your account must be at least 6
months old.
・ you must be at least 19 years of
age ooc.
・ you must favorite the rp. 

disclaimer:  we reserve the right to deny or ignore applications from users that are known to have a problematic history.  this is necessary to protect the peaceful environment we strive to create in this roleplay.

this is an oc roleplay set in a local ramen shop in kyoto, japan. 

you are required to come up with an original name for your character to separate fiction from your faceclaim.  

remember that it is important to be respectful  and considerate towards your faceclaim's ethnic background, especially during the creation of their surname / family name.  if this is too difficult for you, you have the option of keeping your faceclaim's original surname.

using your faceclaim's english name does not count as an oc name.  avoid creating names that are too similar to your faceclaim's original name.  if it helps, research lists of names from your faceclaim's ethnic background and find one that resonates with you. 

the only name you are not allowed to use is "nakamura," as it is the name of the family that owns the restaurant.

you may apply as a customer or restaurant staff.

chefs are limited.  the amount of chefs we will allow depends on the total amount of characters we have.  for now, the limits are as follows:
・ head chef (0/3).  
・ sous chef (0/3).  

chefs will also have their own application form.  keep in mind that chefs play an integral part of running a restaurant, so we expect the writers that intend to take up these limited spots to be fairly active (online a few times a week). 

as indicated above, the application forms will be posted in the comments for your convenience.

Celebrities at least 19 years of age or older of all backgrounds and orientations are allowed, with the exception of influencers, social media personalities, controversial, problematic, deceased, or any celebrity that informed the public they do not want to be roleplayed.

every character is required to fill out their profile within the first seven days of being accepted into this roleplay.  this should be doable considering the fact that we will provide a layout for you with only the information you need to fill out. 

as promised, backgrounds are not required.  in fact, we encourage you to not prepare a background. we want you to develop your characters as you write them.  we would much rather you spend your time exploring your character and their relationship with others instead of spending most of your time and energy in creating a detailed profile that you will never use again.  

should you wish to write down pieces of your character's background as they are revealed through your threads, you may post them in the headcanons room, where they will be noted by the admins and transferred to a master padlet organized by character.

the room, "slurping bowl", is an in-person chat where characters can interact freely with one another. 

Please keep the post length to a maximum of 3 lines to avoid flooding the chat and pressuring others to mirror. additionally, all actions must be written in third pov.  avoid using quotation marks to keep your interactions easy going. 

"slurping bowl" is first and foremost a chat, albeit in person, and you should treat it as such.

THREADS CONTAINING MATURE THEMES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A TRIGGER WARNING AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH POST.  AN EXAMPLE IS PROVIDED BELOW:

ALTHOUGH THIS ROLEPLAY IS PRIMARILY SET WITHIN A RESTAURANT, ROOMS SET IN THE CITY WILL BE PROVIDED TO OUR WRITERS TO ENCOURAGE CREATIVITY AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.  

WE BELIEVE THAT IT IS REALISTIC TO ALLOW PLOTS WITH MATURE THEMES, AS THE CHARACTERS IN THIS ROLEPLAY ARE ALL ADULTS.  HOWEVER, KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS NOT A RATED ROLEPLAY.  

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO RESTRICT EXTREMELY MATURE THEMES TO PRESERVE THE SLICE-OF-LIFE GENRE SLURP RAMEN MEANS TO EMBRACE. 

THEREFORE, WE PROHIBIT PLOTS INCLUDING THE DEATH OF PLAYABLE CHARACTERS AND UAL ASSAULT. MALE PREGNANCIES ARE ALSO BANNED FOR THE SAKE OF REALISM.

LASTLY, IS EXPECTED TO STAY IN WALLS, PRIVATE MESSAGES, AND GROUP PMS.

move-in couples and predetermined relationships are allowed, so long as you do not bubble roleplay.

do not bubble roleplay, facechase, userchase, metagame, or godmod. 

each writer will be allowed three strikes.  reaching the third strike will result in immediate removal from the roleplay and a spot on our blacklist.

out of character drama will not be tolerated under any circumstance.  any conflict between you and another writer must be dealt with in private, whether in pm or group pm with the admin if you cannot resolve it on your own. 

additionally, be careful not to make your peers uncomfortable.  writers are encouraged to raise concern to the admins if uncomfortable or offensive behavior is observed.

each writer will be allowed one warning. a second offense will result in immediate removal from the roleplay and a spot on our blacklist. 

if you are uncomfortable in the chats, please use the safe phrase: "chef, the broth is too salty."

the inactivity sign will appear after 21 days.  writers will be given a grace period of 48 hours to clear the sign by obtaining 10 points.  this should be very doable, considering the fact that you have a chat you can talk in. 

hiatus guidelines are provided to you in its respective room. 

if you plan to leave, please private message the admin with a reason for your departure.  do not stress about this; we only ask you to provide a reason so we may asses ourselves and improve the roleplay.
