"Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon"
# OF STUDENTS ENROLLED [54]
affilates:
Pure bloods, half bloods and mudbloods. The three categories into which wizards fall.
Though not often said and frequently meant as an insult, the last term lingers in the back
of everyone's minds. The Wizarding War is over; Voldemort has fallen. His followers are
either dead or locked up in Azkaban and the Dementors have been reined in. Everyone's
hearts are set to rest but if history has anything to learn from, it is that peace is but an
illusion.
Over the years, the population of the pure blooded wizards have greatly diminished and
are replaced by their less "pure" counterparts due to the death of countless in the war.
As a result, the population of the other two have raised and 18 years later, it seems the
tables have turned. Major changes have been implemented and the wizarding world is
equally effected by them. Instead of treasuring the remaining pure blooded families, they
are regarded with contempt and suspicion for their contribution to the war, be it good
or bad. There isn't a single pureblooded wizard amongst the top ranking officers in the
Ministry of Magic. Such a state is reflected in wizarding schools as well.
Upon first inspection, Hogwarts hasn't changed much. Renovation works has been completed
and the brick walls and the bridge are restored to their former glory. It is what lies within that
contains the secret. Hogwarts isn't the most revered school in Britain for nothing despite
her producing the most dangerous wizard of all time. However, the transitions inside have
taken a turn for the worst. Slytherin used to be one of the top houses with Gryffindor but now,
they are even worse than the Hufflepuffs. Ravenclaws and Gryffindors fight for domination
and the school has turned into a warzone with the fierce rivalries between the houses.
