Hyukjae ran outside going into the forest running through the trees while avoiding anything that seemed suspicious. He let out a super obnoxious sound that if anyone asked he'd would say it was his nature call. Laughing loudly he quickly ran back before he would step on something sharp.
"See you around." She beamed as she walked towards the exit. Stopping suddenly at the exit/entrance of the Infirmary. She realized she never really told her contact information. "I'm from Ravenclaw. 6th Year. I'll see you around." She grinned as she waved goodbye. She walked towards her dorm. Slightly aware of the teacher's glares as she should be in class. Yet, she knew that her teachers knew that she would never skip without a reason. The Ravenclaw stereotype did slightly help as people thought she had perfectly a good reason to skip class. Letting her house colors flash brightly in the sunlight as she went up to her dorm. Her stomach grumbled loudly as she grabbed her wand and textbooks. "It wouldn't hurt to get a snack..." She mumbled to herself. She headed towards the Great Hall. Maybe I could see him again soon.
"No, I managed to catch up the first class and was almost late," Ryeowook explained to her. Despite the fact that he came in to class coming from the forest and didn't have time to freshen up. "You need sufficient sleep then you'll be able to heal faster," he advised her firsthand.
"I told her that it was an accident; luckily she bought it," he explained. "About last night, it's no problem. Wouldn't want to lose you," he smiled warmly at her. He stared down at her hand as he slipped his hand in and shook it. "Yeah, I would like that," Ryeowook smiled shyly at her.
"Fuzzy...and tired." Tiffany admitted. "You didn't miss first class right?" She asked. "You should be going to your next class soon." She frowned, she knew that he was most likely younger than him and shouldn't be missing too many classes.
"What did you say to Madamn Pomfrey?" TIffany whispered as she looked around, "She thinks of me like a complete klutz. Not that I didn't mind that you covered up where we were. I was just wondering what you told her." She stretched her hand. "I should be going to the my second class anyways. Madam Pomfrey told me I could leave. I need to do back to my common room to get my wand too..." She sighed softly. "T-Thanks. For last night." She smiled warmly as she pointed to her hand and ankle. "I'll see you around?" She asked hopefully as she got off the bed. She shyly reached out for a handshake.
After her finished talking to Mrs. Pomfrey, Ryeowook went back to check on Tiffany to see if she's awake already. Mrs. Pomfrey was pretty surprised when Ryeowook suddenly brought her in so early in the morning and he couldn't tell her that they've been in the forbidden forest otherwise they'll both be suspended from school so Ryeowook made up a story saying that Tiffany accidentally tripped over a stool thus sprained her ankle and knocked over some paralyzing potion on her hand.
Luckily she bought it, that spared Tiffany an explanation from herself. Ryeowook came back to Tiffany's bed only to see her with a puzzled look and when he got to he, he sat down on the edge of her bed. "How are you feeling?" Ryeowook asked her. Before Tiffany was admitted to the infirmary, Ryeowook can't wake her up for she was already deep in sleep so he just left her with Madam Pomfrey as he attended his first class.
"Sure." She yawned tiredly as she landed her head on his back. She shifted her weight slightly to make it more comfortable as she mumbled something about time.
As she opened her eyes, she found that she was lying on her back. "Eh?" She mumbled as she rubbed her eyes. She looked in awe at her left hand, it wasn't blue. "Does..That mean I'm in the Infirmary?" She yawned as she stretched her back. What did I do last night? She shut her eyes and laid down, trying to recall what had happened that night.
"Ryeowook..." A name came appeared in her mind. That was the person's name right? What were they doing? She remembered a fernlily, beasts, running, being piggy-backed, a cheese croissant...Wait...Being piggy-backed?! She sat up as her heart pounded loudly, she groaned in embarrassment, did she really let her dongsaeng carry her...But why? Her mind was fuzzy, she felt something awfully heavy on her leg. A cast? A memory had resurfaced,, she had broken her ankle... Ruffling her hair in annoyance for she hardly remembered. It was probably the after-effects of lack of sleep, her ankle, and the spell that was used on her hand.
Another thought resurfaced as she almost fell off the bed in surprise. "Class!" She shrieked as she tried to get out of the bed. "My wand..." She wailed softly as she tried to recall the latest riddle. Wait...Didn't that mean Ryeowook was in class? She sighed in relief, she didn't want him to miss classes because of her.
Ryeowook let Tiffany cling over him as they were on the road again. The way she held on to him was since what affectionate and it made Ryeowook's heart beat faster than usual but he ignored it and continued carrying her.
After about half an hour, they reached at an opening and when Ryeowook looked up, he saw a glimpse of the castle and smiled. "We're almost there," he told Tiffany who seem rather tired. "Why don't you take a nap first? I'll wake you up once we get there," he told her.
She nodded as she wobbled over to where he was. "Let's go." She yawned as she pointed towards the castle. She felt her hand, feeling cold and dead as she sighed softly. Her hand, her poor poor hand. She gently wrapped her arms as she got on. She made note that she didn't actually hold onto her hand but her wrist. She was afraid of the damage she could conflict on herself without her knowing as she couldn't feel it.
He got on to his feet again and tried to figure out where the actual path back to Hogwarts is and couldn't take the risk of being lost again. "If only I could fly our way out of here..." Ryeowook muttered to himself quietly as the older girl continued eating.
"Are you done yet? We need to get out and treat your hand urgently," he asked Tiffany. The sooner they got to Hogwarts, the better he could relax and start asking some questions from her personally.
Tiffany beamed and started eating the croissant as if she was a child given candy. "It's delicious." She said between bites. She nodded as she swung her legs quietly. She got bored, as the sun was showing a path, but not a clear one.
She silently wondered, *If we get out by...6, I would be able to get treated and still attend second period.* "Yup. What a night." She agreed as she gently flexed her ankle.
@Hwang Miyoung Being slightly annoyed with Tiffany who poked his cheek, Ryeowook carefully put her down, trying not to worsen the pain on her ankle. Then he pulled out a cheese croissant out of his bag and handed it to her figured that she had been lost in the forest almost the whole night.
"Let's rest here until I can see a better clear path out of this forest," Ryeowook decided as he sat on a boulder and watched the sun rise from the horizon. "What a night!" he groaned as he closed his eyes for a while.
@Kim Ryeowook "It's fine." Tiffany whispered as she gently clinged on. She hesitated, wasn't it the time to thank him? She felt awkward, being the senior as she mumbled softly, "Thank you." She was glad that he wasn't going at a fast pace, as she made sure that her arms were always looped firmly. She stared in awe, as she saw faint signs of light. Did they really stay that long in the forest?
She frowned, calculating when she left the dorm. It was around 6ish... She realized she was lost at ... 9ish? She meet Ryeowook at ... 11ish? From the beasts... 2ish? They did run quite far. From the looks of it, it was 4 or 5ish? Her stomach grumbled as she realized that she had skipped dinner too.
"Do you have food on you?" She asked innocently as she carefully shifted her weight as she noticed she was leaning more on his left than right. Being impatient and hungry, she poked his cheek and asked again, "Food?"
"Ah." She gaped as she saw the slight beginning of a sunrise. "Look!" She beamed as she pointed at the sky, making them lose balance as she clinged sheepishly. "The sunrise." She yawned tiredly, "Isn't it pretty?" She was glad to see that the trees were slowly thinning out. They were almost out of the Forest.
He blinked at her and started to wonder whether he should carry her or maybe prompt herself beside him. He didn't know any healing spells and all his potions are back in his room and thought that the second option might slow them down. Ryeowook sighed and decided his final decision.
"I hope you don't mind when I do this," Ryeowook warned Tiffany first before he bent down and lifted her up off the ground as he carried her on his back. Going back to the infirmary in the castle is a long way from where they are now and hoped that they can make it there without anything coming in their way.
She blushed at his sweet words as she tried to stammer a thanks. "Thanks." She whispered softly in his ear. She nodded absentminded as she smelled the lingering scent of him when they hugged. She knew that what she did was bold but didn't realize that she would get a reward than then a scolding.
She looked up shocked at her hand's state. She shyly withdrew it. "Y-Yep... The infirmary." She stammered softly as she got up. She twitched, her ankle feel as if it was on fire. Realizing that it could be broken, she tugged on his sleeve. "C-Could you help me?" She shyly asked as she pointed to her ankle. "I think it might be broken." She chuckled half-hearty.
Without warning, Ryeowook immediately pulled Tiffany in to a bear hug. "That was the bravest thing a girl would ever do," he whispered in to her ear softly. Despite the fact that she ruined his potion and took his wand without warning, as long as she was safe and so was he.
Feeling how awkward the hug can get, Ryeowook withdrew and scratched his head shyly as he looked down covering his brightly blushed face and noticed that Tiffany's right hand was in an odd shade of pale blue and when he held it up, he was shocked to feel how cold it was.
"We need to get you to the infirmary, the effects might be permanent," he worried. The fernlily might not be poisonous but by the slight touch of its petals can paralyze your entire hand.
Tiffany mentally screamed as she watched the number of beasts increase rapidly. "Run." She whispered softly in his ear. She faked a smile as she patted her side of her robe. "I lied, I did have my wand." She smoothly lied. "Now...Run." She growled slightly as her eyes shifted to the beasts then him. She felt sick to her stomach, knowing that she would be screwed once he left. At least, he would be safe. A thought swam in her head, *You don't even know the boy well!* Ways to survive were disappearing as the beasts growled loudly. She thought of another way, just in case he protested.
"The fernlily." She muttered weakly, "Use it on them." She saw the world spin slightly as she lose her footing for a second. She slowly went to her knees as she blindly ran her hands, feeling for the petals. She flinched as her hand went numb, her hand was useless for now. She handed it to him, as the beasts slowly came closer, cornering them from all directions. She felt as cold water was splashed onto her, what if the boy didn't know the spell?
She searched for alternative ways. His bag. A small hope was lit as she desperately searched for something useful. She sighed in relief as a glass phial appeared in her palm. Throwing the petals in the mixture as it bubbled, she grabbed his wand and threw it at the beasts. She spoke a spell that expanded the spell as she grabbed him and ran int that direction. The beasts fell over like dominoes as she dragged him from them. "Run!" She screamed as she broke into a sprint. She screamed stupefy until burned.
When she figured that they were safe, she smiled weakly and handed him his bag and wand. "Sorry...For using your wand." She apologized as she continued, "And ruining your potion..." She looked awkwardly at her feet as she waited for his response.
Ryeowook's eyes flicked everywhere unaware where the beast might pounce at them in any direction. When he felt Tiffany holding on to his back, he knew that his main priority was keeping her safe first and if lucky; get the fernlily. And after one final, loud clicking sound behind them, Ryeowook instantly rotated quickly and casted stupefy upon the opponent causing it to recoil before it laid a finger on him. And before he knew it, more beasts started coming out of the trees practically outnumbering them by a long shot and Ryeowook knew that just his wand won't fight them off.
She nodded as she hid behind his back. She felt slightly humiliated, she was in the Forbidden Forest without a wand and could possibly get them both killed. Her fingers made their way to his back, she gently clung against him, for protection. Another clicking noise was made, but behind them. She whimpered quietly as she made note of if something was to attack them, she would be able to save him and the fernlily, but not so sure of herself. She gulped as the wind whistled through the trees.
Seeing her change of attitude donor made Ryeowook smile. He was glad that she accepted his offer and that he made a new friend from a compete stranger. "Wait up," he tailed her almost tripping from the rock beneath him before Tiffany had earned him sooner. "Oh wow," Ryeowook gaped at the fernlily in front of him beside a large tree bark and started to approach it before nature sent a somewhat weird chilly breeze and heard clicking noises behind the camouflaging trees who knows what's hiding behind. Ryeowook slowly took out his wand and had his back turned to Tiffany and prepared for impact. "Stay quiet," he hushed.
As Tiffany was about to take another step, his offer made her movement pause. *So...He's different.* A shy thought wriggled into her mind. "Of course." She admitted. She nimbly stepped over branches and leaves as she made note of the loose stones. "Be careful of that rock!" She yelled as she jumped over it. She felt lighter now that he knew about her blood status. "It's here~" She sang as she landed next to the fernlily. She hummed slightly, trying to ignore the chilling breeze or inhuman noises around her.
shocked when she suddenly leaned in on him and whispered her name, Ryeowook blinked before he creased his throat. "I see, Tiffany. Well, I'm Kim Ryeowook," he then introduced himself whilst fiddling with his thumbs. He recognized that surname; the Hwang line, a notorious pureblood line. But he didn't mind even if she was a pureblood not a mudblood, he just needed to know why she seem so familiar somehow. He knew he saw her somewhere in a dream but there's more significance in that and he just can't put his finger on it. "Its a good thing you saw it, I don't know what I'll do if I was here all by myself," he admitted and shrugged. "And I think I still need your help to get this herb," he also said before Ryeowook turned to head to the herb. "But will you?" he questioned her and hopes that Tiffany would agree.
@Kim Ryeowook "Forbidden section." She casually admitted. She felt as if the person knew about it, then he had been there since it was rarely taught in the circulation. She smirked slightly, maybe it was the one too many butterbeers she had earlier or the fact that she was in the Forbidden Forest that made her go closer to the boy and whisper softly, "Miyoung Hwang. Tiffany if you like." A sad look was shown suddenly as she turned and pointed at the darkness. "It's over there." She sighed as she waited for him to realize that she was a pureblood. She turned around, slightly troubled to have another person realize her blood status, having another perhaps spread rumors that she desperately hid. She sighed silently, what was done was done. Perhaps he was different. She waved her hand as she told, "Shall we go
?"
"Well you shouldn't have gotten in to the woods /this/ deep," he laughed at her statement of being lost. He knew himself to not wander in the forest alone for too long or not who knows what kind of creatures that are in the fotest that can tear you to pieces and disintegrate you to bits.
Ryeowook's eyes widen at the girl when she blurted out everything about the rare fernlily. Although its not highly poisoned or very toxic, it can make a big contribution when it comes to paralyzing. "How do you know so much about it uh... sorry, but you are?" Ryeowook asked her name. He noticed the dark vibrant colours on her robe and that emblem on it only knowing that she's a Ravenclaw and wondered if she have ever read that book in the forbidden section in the library about rare herbs.
She nodded, unaware that the light on the tip of the wand wasn't enough. "I mean yes!" She pinked. She quickly answered the question bluntly, "Lost."
She noticed Gryfinndor colors on his tie as she figured that that was why he was out. Bravery was in Gryfinndor's blood, they wouldn't be scared of the Forbidden Forest with its spooky noises as she was.
"Do you want me to show you?" She asked softly. She figured that he had been here a while, seeing that he probably was looking for a while. "Why are you looking for it?" She asked. It wasn't used in Herbology often, nor in regular potions. It was mainly used for paralyzing... She sightly narrowed her eyes as she asked carefully, "Is it for paralyzing?" She paused as she saw the reaction as she ranted out, "You have to make sure that you get the petals and roots. The stem is useless and will dull the effects anyways. It's best to get it in the moonlight, using minimal magic since it will mess up the magical effects in the plant" She blushed as she bit her lip to prevent her from ranting out. "Sorry." She mumbled quietly, a dark blush in her cheeks.
@Hwang Miyoung He already thought that he was already deep in to the forest and the fernlily could be anywhere in sight. He just needs to recognize it but just by the tip of light on his wand isn't enough but he knew well to not bring a lantern to make it so obvious that he was wondering alone and unknown.
Then suddenly he heard twigs crushed and rustling dried leaves at one corner of the forest. Trying not to panic, Ryeowook carefully lifted his wand up to see who it was and then it suddenly struck him in the inside, a sign of recognition to one of his memories of his dreams. And when he raised his wand a bit higher and saw a figure that he never met before but those eyes he recognized.
"Are you looking for something? Like a fernlily?" the figure voiced out and Ryeowook's eyes widen as if she's just what he had wished for to find the fernlily. "Have you seen it?" he asked the figure and with high hopes that she did. "Wait-- what are you doing here so deep in the woods?" he asked the figure first-hand before proceeding.
[[For Ryeowook~]]
Tiffany mentally groaned as her feet ached in pain. She had been wandering for perhaps hours? She barely knew and it was getting dark. She heard rustling in the distance. She whimpered softly as she automatically reached for her wand. Too bad it wasn't here. Yes, one of Ravenclaw's brightest students had left her wand in her dorm.
She didn't go back for it as the riddle was particularly tricky that time. She figured that she would go on a short walk and return when she figured when most of the year 7s were back. She had stupidly decided that the Forbidden Forest would be the best choice. That and something told her that she would find something worth going into the "Forbidden Forest".
She sighed as she wrapped her robes and shivered slightly. She had come across a rare herb, she believed it was a fernlily. It was a shame that she didn't bring her wand nor the right tools. She noticed something sightly glowing...Like a tip of a wand. Her hopes rose as she carefully made her way towards the person. She noticed that he was looking for something.
"Umm...Excuse me?" She asked softly, hoping that he wouldn't get scared. "Are you looking for something? Like a fernlily?" She blurted out. She bit her lip in embarrassment, she didn't know if the person was even looking for it.
[[Reserved for Tiffany v.v]]
It was almost night time and he was still wandering in the forbidden forest just to get some ingredients that are so impossible to get anywhere. Ryeowook didn't mind if the forest was forbidden or whatever because its not like anything bad is going to happen to him knowing that luck is always with him and no current dream predictions about him getting hurt. He began to go deep in to the forest until the sight of the castle is not visible and hopes that no one would catch him at the outskirts of the school.
Finding the rare fernlily herb is no joke because it only blooms after sunset and its really hard to recognize it in the dark. Just this one last ingredient and Ryeowook would've created the perfect paralyzing potion for his own purposes.
@Park Chanyeol Stars? Hyuna looked up just to see the stars shining brightly above him. Her lips broked into a smile and formed a 'wow'. She watched the sky as the stars keeps on twinkling. "It's beautiful" she whispered, amazed that she forget that she was crying earlier.
