→ BARN

.

A barn sits at a small distance from the village. This is the area where most of the werewolf sightings occur.

@[M] Hoya A voice cut through the silence and Irene's eyes widened instantly. By this hour, people were supposed to be in bed or at least be inside their houses, especially due to the fact that tonight was the full moon and werewolves would come out a lot on that night. Without realizing what she was doing, she wrapped the black cloak around her body tightly as if it was a magical charm that would protect her from getting hurt or harmed by someone out there.

Slowly, she backed away -- not running away, she was too curious for that -- and hid behind a tree trunk, her head peeking silently at the sight in front of her. There, a figure stood with something long in his hand and as he seemed to be cautious of the danger that could come.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[W] Irene Hoya was starting to waver in his sleep and before he even fell down from his so called 'nap' he was jerked up by his consciousness, he squinted his eyes, rubbing them and realizing "Oh god, it's already night time.." he must have en so tired to have that much for an afternoon nap. He stood up and was about to enter his house when he heard something from the distance, footsteps maybe, and with the little light left for him to see, he could spot a figure meters away, still unrecognizable but it looked like it was docking, or maybe hiding and that was something Hoya couldn't risk so he immediately took th enarest weapon he could get a hold of.... a rake. It was funny but it was the best he's got for now. "Who's there?" he announced.
[W] Irene 9 years ago
@[M] Hoya The night was the time when Irene would sneak out into the outside part of the village to get ingredients for potions. Often times, she had to go a long way to find a certain plant, and that was the case for her tonight. Her legs kept aching as she stepped on the ground, looking here and there for a rare plant with nothing as the source of light.

Without realizing, her gaze traveled and she looked up, finding a big barn in front of her sight.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[W] Irene It was one of those lazy afternoons that they all have when they are finish with their chores in the farm and just waits for mother nature to this her job in growing their crops when Hoya finds himself sitting on the bench on the porch of their house. It wasn't too far from the main village but it isn;t a nice walk either. HE has a nice overview of the lands of obsidian from where he sat and he was so tired that his body just limped on the bench by itself, he took his hat off and by instinct places is on his face as he leaned a bit back, a good afternoon rest wouldn;t hurt right?
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[R] Sohee Hoya was watching her expression the whole time, all of it seemed new to her, with that Howon was sure enough that she wasn;t from anywhere near the town. "Well, feel at home" he advised before he closed and locked the doors. "I'm sure you're exhausted" he nodded, "Sorry I can;t give you anything to wear... we don;t really have clothes for women available here" he scratched the back of his head.
[R] Sohee 9 years ago
@[M] Hoya Sohee was quite startled at first, but soon settled down as she realized that everything was fine. The inside of the structure they were in fascinated Sohee quite so, and the female had just wanted to walk around and look at everything; until she remembered this was someone's living space. "I-It's nice." She awkwardly replied, not sure what else to say. The female was used to mostly stone everything, and seeing this place was rather new to her.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[R] Sohee "You figured?" Hoya laughed a bit, as he stood aside from the door "Well? Come on in then" he ushered her inside as he lit up the place, "I don't know what you're used to, but this is all I could possibly offer" he was talking about his home, it wasn't a palace, but it was home enough for him.
[R] Sohee 9 years ago
@[M] Hoya "I-I don't think it'll be realistic to get back tonight..." Sohee began, staring towards the ground as the female cleared . She doubted the stranger would have sympathy towards her, but it was at least a try.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[R] Sohee Hoya was already stretching and his hands rested at the back of his head when his visitor called for him again. "Yes princess?" he asked as he turned around, innocence plastered on his face even though he knew the other gave up already.
[R] Sohee 9 years ago
@[M] Hoya Sohee decided to take the stranger's heeding, being that she knew there were vampires and werewolves...but the female had never seen any. The female wasn't very big on fearing death, though she definitely was not in the mood to be toyed with by supposedly mystical creatures. "W-Wait.." Sohee softly said, turning to look at the back of the male.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[R] Sohee Hoya watched as the expressions on her face shift, he wasn;t sure what the girl was thinking but one thing for sure she was not getting anywhere tonight. "Hmmmm... so You'll find your way back huh?" he nodded sighing, trying to decipher what to do. Howon then clapped his hands to remove the dirt as he stood straight again, "Well Madam, it was nice to have met you" he smiled widely and bowed "Stay safe~! I'm sure you're well armed for what's to come right??" he said, his grin toxic, "Tonight is a full moon after all" he hid a smirk. "See you when I see you ma'am" he turned around and walked inside, not closing his doors just yet.
[V] Sojin [A] 9 years ago
@Changjo "Don't." She mumbled quietly, biting her lower lip while trying to block out the overwhelming scent. Continuing to fan the air in front of her, she narrows her eyes at the other knowing that he wouldn't clearly see any of her expressions in his hazy view. Crossing her arms, she watched as the other moved away from her while staring up at the sky. "Where is he going..." Her brow arched when he whirled around to call her over.

There was something really funny about this guy. Sojin just couldn't tell what it was about him that she found simply amusing. Maybe it was the way his drunken state made him look like a delusional psycho. Rolling her eyes, she smirks at him. "Why, yes. I'm extremely jealous." A slight chuckle escapes her lips as she shakes her head at his silliness. Looking back towards him, she had noticed that a tear suddenly trickled down his face thanks to her extraordinary vision.

"Hmmm..." Her eyes softened a little and these were the moments that she felt sorry for humans like these. Being supernatural wasn't easy but a normal person depending on weapons seemed to be a lot harder in her point of view. There were those horrible type of hunters with no mercy towards their kind and there was this dumb guy.
[R] Sohee 9 years ago
@[M] Hoya Sohee had stood there, biting her lower lip gently as she had thought over her options. "I...could just find my way back.." The female mumbled, clearing awkwardly. She wanted to explain how the royal court worked, but that would just expose her identity as a princess, even though she knew he probably already knew she was someone of importance. The female's face had returned to it's naturally blank state, her eyes landing on Howon. "No need to concern yourself; I'll find my way back..." Sohee insisted, not so sure herself if she was right.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[R] Sohee Hoya turned back, and raised his brows "W-What did you just say?" he asked, not sure if he heard right, so he suddenly became a kidnapper and he smirked "You know you're not kidnapped, you went with your own will, unless you'll lie" he said as a matter of fact. He turned back again and opened the door, seems like Jimin could be home already, probably sleeping. "You say you can't stay here, but you don't really have any where else right now don't you?" he smirked. "So what's your plan princess?" he said playfully and leaned against the door frame, he didn't like the idea of having a stranger at home and being branded a kidnapper, but he didn;t have the heart to just leave her out here.
[H] Changjo 9 years ago
@Sojin

As he saw her step back, he grinned, a rather unerring smile. She had moved away from him, had he just imagined? He couldn’t see the distaste in her face, so as an instinct, he stepped closer towards the other – not fearing what the other might do or who she might be. It was the last thing on his mind. His breath fanned against her face further. He hoped it’d irritate her. It was funny when people got irritated, he thought to himself rather drunkly. He still really couldn’t see her face properly from here, but she noticed it was extremely pale. It was probably from the moonlight or something, he thought. The moon was shining down on them, so he probably looked the same. He was too drunk to know the consequences of his actions anyways.

“Sojin, huh?” He drawled. He chuckled a little. Again, too drunk to be scared or on guard. He had turned from aggressive to happy too quickly. “Then I’m Changjo,” He replied. “And that’s all you need to know,” He smiled at her gummily. Realising how nice the moon looked behind Sojin, he moved away from her and staggered all the way into an empty part of the ground outside the barn. He tilted his head, then stared at the moon with the same smile he had looked at her with. He spread out his arms wide, stretching them until they strained, so it looked like he was reaching out to the moon. He turned around to her, grinning. “Hey! Look Sojin! I’m touching the moon! Are you jealous?” He laughed manically, like he hadn’t grown up at all since his father passed. “You’re so jealous, aren’t you! Come, touch the moon with me!”

This moment reminded him a little bit of the time he and his brother spent time outside together, looking at star constellations. Those were the good days, he thought. He felt his stomach urn a little. He missed that. Now, he was just lonely, since his brothers and sisters had all moved to another town. It was just him here. A small tear left his eye as he thought of that, but he was still smiling, laughing as per usual, and ushering Sojin to join him.

@[M] Hoya Sohee had stayed put in the cart, eventually deciding to to get down with the males' help. The female didn't think she acted like a princess, other than following normal protocol of the palace, but Soheee was never one to judge what others thought of her. She had stood there for a moment, fixing her long straight black hair, before following behind Howon.

"I...technically I can't stay here." Sohee began, clearing as she spoke up. "You'd be branded as kidnappers even though that's not the case." She informed, pressing her lips together before waiting for the male's response.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[R] Sohee "Hmmmmm" Hoya nodded "Yeah sure~" he chuckled as he pulled the cart into a complete halt, she has no idea how she got there and Howon was sure she can;t by herself. He checked his belongings as he jumped down from the cart and onto the stone pavement that led to their front door. He looked back and tilted his head in confusion, "O-Oh" he remembered, he walked towards Sohee's side and offered a helping hand to help her down, he guess he can't expect a princess to leap down huh? ANd no, he didn't know she was one, he just nicknamed her in his head because of how she looks and acts.

Behind him stood their family's house, now left with him and his brother, surrounded by a small compound where the other farm workers live and work, compared to their hut houses Hoya's was already a mansion, but compared to the central city, his home was still far from comfort. "If you plan on staying I suggest you toughen your skin for tonight~" he reminded as he started walking towards the door.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[H] Jimin It was a long day for Hoya today, as his brother set out to do more training he of course stayed in the farm and took care of the crops and feeding the animals, It was mid season so most of the work was done already and all he had to do was maintenance, he was doing well considering the few number of farmers on his side. They were all mutual, they all understood they needed to work together if they wanted to survive. HE was strict with the people, but he never hurt them, there were already a few of them and most were older than him and he was jsut thankful that they trusted him to work things in the farm.

His little brother took so much interest in hunting lately and he respected that, he doesn't blame the boy too, after their past experience one probably wants to learn how to fight back, honestly Howon wanted to as well but decided everything their father has worked for would go to waste, and besides, he's been getting training before everything crumbled before them and he got his dagger skills from that, that would do for him for now.

It was past lunch already when Hoya finished maintenance and did a little more plowing and went back to the hut, he only realized after working for so long that he's already skipped lunch and only now as he sat alone on the table with absolutely no food that he regret it. Much worse, he could see the figure of his brother from a distance and he figures he hasn't really eaten yet too and so Howon did what he could do for now, he picked up some corn from their stocks and placed some bread on the table, they just had to deal with that right now.
[R] Sohee 9 years ago
@[M] Hoya 'Howon..' Sohee thought to herself, not having any thoughts in particular on the man's name. Sohee had quite a few suitors, though they probably were only after her for her looks and position to the throne. That's mostly the reason why Sohee had taught herself not to fall in love with people; no one was to be trusted. But for right now the female had trusted this male just a small bit- after all, he had been a farmer, and farmers were supposed to be nice? "I'll find my way back..somehow." Sohee spoke, glancing towards Howon as she listened to him. The other seemed friendly enough. Sohee had also been tired out, part of the reason why she was being so nice.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[R] Sohee "Hmmmm Sohee" He nodded. "I'm Howon" he introduced himself back and he thinks Sohee musn't be a talkative kind of girl. When she got next to him he could observe her face a bit more, she was whiter than he thought and she had flawless skin, he refrained to look longer than normal not to scare her or worse, make her feel violated in any way, he does not want any trouble with the upper class, sometimes they are worse than Wolves or Witches. He got taken a back when SOhee suddenly grabbed onto his arm when the cart suddenly jerked, he almost chuckled when she pulled away as fast "Not so social huh?" he said without thinking, "How can I help you get back when you won't tell me?" he continued "Well this is our farm where you got yourself into, we'll get off soon to where our house is" It's not much, he wanted to continue but he thought it wasn't necessary.
[R] Sohee 9 years ago
@[M] Hoya Sohee had blinked for a moment, listening to the male think aloud. She hated telling village folk her title, but her name might have been enough. Nobody knew the princess' name; or so she thought. The female had been surprised when she saw him offer her a spot on his cart, hesitating before taking his hand for support. His hands had felt slightly rough, surprising Sohee. The princess had never really touched people- actually, she'd never touched a person in the past couple of years, but Sohee just assumed that everyone's skin was soft. Upon hearing the male's question, Sohee sat there in silence for a minute before deciding to give him her name. "Sohee.." The female replied, ignoring his second question. This had been the most talking that the girl had done all day, though no one really talked to her- just at her. The bumpy road had surprised Sohee, the female grabbing onto the male's arm by accident. Quickly she had let go of him, awkwardly looking down towards her lap.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[R] Sohee The other looked quite confused herself and it was getting a bit contagious as Howon scratched his head, how could she suddenly get lost in those clothes "Uhhh you look like you're from somewhere far, I've never seen anyone wear those type of clothes in the village" he informed her, suddenly realizing that she must be someone from the upper class. "Well you're in my territory so might as well assist you" he inhaled as he pat the space beside him in the cart, stretching his arm out to help her get up "Well let's go~ But before that you might want to tell me your name?" he chuckled "And where are you from, people don't wear gowns and just get lost you know" he nodded as he maneuvered his horse to start moving again, the road was bumpy but Hoya was used to it already, he's not so sure about his companion though.
[R] Sohee 9 years ago
@[M] Hoya Sohee hadn't noticed anyone approaching her until she heard a voice- a man's voice. The female slightly winced as she heard him asking her questions. The girl never really left the palace, so he wouldn't know that she's the princess, right? Sohee was hesitant before turning to face the man who was calling out to her, clearing as her face had fallen back to neutral.
"I...believe so." She replied, trying to sound as normal as possible. It's not that Sohee was scared of being lost at night, it's just that she didn't want to be caught by her parents in the morning wandering the village.
[M] Hoya [A] 9 years ago
@[R] Sohee Tired. Thaw was all Hoya could muster after a long trip from central town back to his barn, it was just a few more kilometers and even his horse seemed tired, good thing the weight of the cart was long gone in the city. It was a bit dark already but the moonlight served as their light even though he resented it because of the memory it brings back to them. And when he was drawing near he noticed a figure walking, looking around, not sure if the person was lost or anything but it was his property after all so Hoya sped up a bit to catch up to the person and he noticed it was a woman, a woman in a long dress , one that trailed off on the ground after her, very inappropriate if you asked Hoya.
"Hey" he called out "Who are you?" he asked trying not to put any suspicion in his voice, "Are you lost? Need any help?"
[V] Sojin [A] 9 years ago
@Changjo "I never said that it was." Sojin continuously observed the other's drunken actions. Her amusement towards these mortals had grown so much more over the past few years. The male had suddenly gotten a little too close for the scent of alcohol to overwhelm her senses. She took a step back and fanned the air as hard as she could to clear the smell. Once he had uttered the word, 'harlot' she couldn't help her jaw dropping open and hanging ajar for a few seconds before shaking her head while trying to gather her thoughts.

"A harlot." She repeated turning away before encircling him as she paced. "Maybe, maybe not. It's Sojin to you and that's all you need to know." A dark chuckle leaves her as she stops in front of him while maintaining a distance. Sometimes she felt as if vampires' heightened senses were curses. She couldn't come too close to him without feeling a little dizzy.

The night was cool and the breeze was just enough for her hair to blow softly behind her. Tucking a strand behind her ear, she continued to examine the other wondering if she should disarm him and devour his blood immediately but that obviously won't be any fun. Judging by the blade, she sensed that she was up against a hunter but he was unlike any hunter she had ever encountered.
[H] Changjo 9 years ago
@Sojin

From looking at the barn, Changjo glanced over at Sojin. He couldn't really see her face properly, considering his vision was impaired. He blinked several times, rubbing his eyes. Immediately, he dropped the bottle onto the ground, shattering it into a million pieces. He didn't expect another person to be here; this was the first time he met another person here while drunk. He stared at her silently, attempting to make out a face to her figure, but it didn't seem like he could. He heaved a sigh at his failure at recognition. He didn't move from his spot, he was too drunk too. He just stared at her, after hearing her question.

"Farmers? This place isn't only for farmers..." Changjo slurred, his voice coming out gruff. He began stumbling towards her, so he could get a closer look. He quirked his brow upwards, curiously looking at Sojin a few times. "Who are you then? What are /you/ doing here? Some kind of harlot I assume," he confronted her a bit too aggressively than he thought it would come out. He tilted his head to the side, awaiting a response from the female. He found himself fidgeting softly with the blade he had at his side and his let his body weight lean onto his right foot, tilting his body to the side. As he stayed still, he could feel the breeze against his skin. It felt good on his face. He could feel the gentle rustle of the leaves. And then he realised he was all alone outside the barn, with this mysterious stranger.
[V] Sojin [A] 9 years ago
@Changjo Sojin was on her way to the barn to meet up with a good friend and maybe go around town a little later to look for someone to feed on. She usually met the werewolves around these parts of town mostly because it's the nearest location when coming from the mountains. While walking down the pathway, she felt the presence of a mortal and the strongest scent of alcohol filled her senses. It was so strong that it made her a little nauseous.

"Just another drunkard, maybe." She thought, trying to fan away the strongest smell of beer that she had ever come across in her life. Looking up from the dirt path, she finally spotted where the horrible smell was coming from. A man was spotted stumbling around the area and Sojin couldn't help but laugh slightly at the sight of it.

"Poor human, let's see if he needs a little help..." She let out a discreet chuckle as she moved quickly towards him. Sojin caught up with the man and turned her head to examine his pitiful state. She could take him out right here but that would be no fun at all. "Say, what's a guy like you doing in a place like this? You don't look like a farmer." Sojin leans on the wall nearest him and smirks.
[H] Changjo 9 years ago
@[V] Sojin Changjo mindlessly gazed up at the sky with lidded eyes in all his drunken stupor. He held an empty bottle of rum in his right hand, between his index and middle finger, slightly twisting it in his fingers. His hair was slightly tousled, looking messy like it always did. His breath reeked of the alcohol he had consumed not long ago. He was in his usual hunter's gear, his everyday clothing. He had his equipment carefully tucked into his pockets - and they say there, untouched. Changjo was drunk – extremely drunk. He was weak when it came to alcohol, but he still consumed it as much as any other man. He had just left the pub after getting slightly aggressive with another man, where he had sat for hours, until the sun set and the moon arose from the horizon. He couldn't tell what time it was now. But he assumed it was somewhere in the late hours of the night or the earliest hours of the morning. He was too disoriented to think anything logical. His body felt strong, he felt strong. Alcohol made him feel like he could take on the world.

Changjo staggered towards the seemingly empty barn, smiling to himself like some sort of insane man. His vision was double - he couldn't see anything very clearly. His stance was wobbly. He could be knocked off his feet easily - just by a small knock. But then again, he'd probably feel no pain since he was so intoxicated, and then he'd go off to dreamland. He glanced up at the barn as it grew closer - hoping it would provide him with some sort of warmth because he couldn't remember where his home was.
[R] Sohee 9 years ago
@[M] Hoya Sohee wasn't much on leaving the palace, being that she really couldn't. And when I say she couldn't, I mean that she couldn't go without being under the consistent protection of guards that worked for the castle. Now that nightfall had reached, the security on the castle had tightened up; there was only one way that Sohee could escape on her own without getting caught. The balcony that had been connected to her tower room led to the normal common ground, giving Sohee an easy escape. The female soon had made it into the village, slowly passing by loud pubs and firelit homes. Her skirts definitely weren't made for this type of setting, but Sohee would just lie and say that she tripped on her way to the restroom the next day to her mother. Glancing every which way, the princess hadn't realized that she'd been getting lost. The night was still young when she'd stumbled upon a- was this a barn? Sohee never really heard about there being barns, but then again, where did her food come from. Sighing softly, the female had released her skirts, letting them cover her feet while looking around the dark area.
