@Kim Jongin [R] As their little journey began, her doubt began to intensify. Was it an ethical decision to just accept a stranger's invitation to take a walk, especially if that very stranger was a Roman? Would the outcome of this be positive or negative? What if he was one of those Romans that were against the Greeks and wanted to wipe them out? Her mind was somewhere else, now that she was attacking herself with foolish questions. Stealing a glance at the boy before looking straight ahead, she didn't know why she was pressuring herself with all these uncertain thoughts. He didn't seem like a menacing person nor did he act like one, so why should she be so hesitant? Sighing inaudibly, she could only let out a small laugh at his remark. "All these rumors seem to fly everywhere." she muttered, shaking her head. "But, I guess today is the day."
Eunji thought for a minute about his question before giving a curt shrug. It seemed to be fairly odd to other people that the Aphrodite cabin was empty and wasn't full of screaming brats and she honestly didn't blame them. "Why I was alone?" she mused. "Quite odd, but my siblings seemed to all be out today, doing whatever they do. I don't really participate in their doings, really, kind of feels like a waste of time to me. I came back from practicing at the arena to find myself alone in the cabin. Got refreshed, rested, was about to drift off into dreamland, before I happened to stumble upon you. And here we are now." She smiled.
@Jung Eunji [G] Sure, he had been the one to make the offer but honestly, he hadn't been expecting her to go along with it, with him. He stood, sightly slack jawed, as she swept by, beckoning him to follow. And follow he did, though in just a few strides hi lon legs had brought them side by side. An expression of mock thoughtfulness now replaced the previously dumbfounded one. " Is that so? I hear Venus children aren't exactly the best company to keep either. I guess today will be the day for disillusionment. " He commented, taking this moment to get a better look at his temporary companion.
One glance at her and it was obvious she belonged to the Venus, there was no mistaking that. But something about the way she carried herself seemed to set her apart from her siblings. It aroused a bit of curiosity in Jongin. "If you don't mind me asking, what were you doing in your cabin all alone?" It couldn't have been solitude she was in search of. Naturally, everyone needed some time away from their siblings, and cabinmates in the case of the Mercury cabin, but anyone who's been here longer than aweek would know that the last place to look for peace an quiet was within your own cabin. With twenty plus demi gods in one living space, te word peace doesn't exist. And although in terms of over capacity no one could rival his cabin, Venus always held an untouchable second place. She wasn't the goddess of love and fertility for nothing.
(FOR THE LOVE OF ZEUS/JUPITER I FINALLY REPLIED! /tears of joy )
@Kim Jongin [R] Her eyes widened at his offer, baffled at his blunt attitude. She didn't know why he was starting to play this little game of his and all she could do was go along with it. She gave him a questioning look before sighing to herself. Not breaking the eye-contact that could almost kill someone, she returned a simple scoff at his comment. "A pedicure? Honey, please. Don't believe in all the stereotypes of the Aphrodite children, because trust me. I'm not entirely like that." Shooting the boy a small grin, Eunji swiftly brushed past him, closing her cabin door as well. Not bothering to wait for him, she walked ahead, her eyes wandering around the camp campus. She smiled brightly as she turned around. "Well, what are you waiting for? Hurry up before I change my mind. You know, I was always told to not trust Romans." And this fact was true. From what she learned, endless tales of the Romans were etched into her brain. All of them were rather negative, earning a distaste for them.
@Jung Eunji [G] He noticed her slight hesitation in accepting his simple gesture but decided not to speak on it. He was well aware of the kind of stories Greek children are told about the Romans. Rumors about everything from savage societies to copycat governments drifted into the ears of the young and impressionable. He expected for those on the other side to be wary of him but he didn’t feel any less slighted by it. Still, the pleasantries between the two continued. “Nice to meet you too, Eunji.” He could practically see the gears of her mind turning as she looked between him and the interior of her cabin before she spoke again, explaining her lack of invitation. He didn’t dwell much on it, simply grinned and took a step back away from the door. “Well then, how about I invite you out here instead?” He locked eyes with her, silently daring her to accept challenge. To step outside the safety of the boundaries set forth by all those that came before them. “What do you say, Ms. Eunji? Up for taking a walk or don’t you want to ruin your pedicure?” He goaded playfully.
@Kim Jongin [R] Eunji's lips curved into a small smile. She wasn't usually fond of Romans, but somehow, he had a friendly vibe that seemed to make her feel more comfortable. Her eyes trailed down to his extended hand, wondering if she should take it or not. Looking back up at him, she took in his features more. He was rather masculine, and as Aphrodite's child, she had to admit that he was attractive. Taking his hand into hers, she gave it a slight shake. "I'm Jung Eunji, daughter of Aphrodite," she said mellowly. "Nice to meet you." Letting go of his hand — unwillingly — she looked back at her cabin and back to him. An awkward silence accompanied. She bit her lip slightly. What where they supposed to do now? The awkward-ness was almost suffocating and she didn't know what he wanted to do. "I would want to invite you in," she said, grinning. "But~ to me, it would seem rather inappropriate." Letting out a small chuckle, her eyes met his, an eyebrow raised. Maybe she would make a new friend today and Eunji was always up for that. It was hard for her; it seemed like everyone despised the Aphrodite children.
( sorry its short ; n ;
when I'm on my iPod, my replies tend to shorten )
@Jung Eunji [G] Just as he began to consider the possibility that he would have to come back later, the door creaked open. Jongin was momentarily distracted by the young lady that had answered the door. Her soft features caught his attention immediately and she radiated the kind of beauty expected from a daughter of Venus. She looked to be around his age, maybe older. Surely he’d seen her before. When one has been here as long as he has you’ve seen everyone at least once. Still he couldn’t for the life of him, think of her name. He settled on the idea that she must be a Greek. Even with the lack of segregation between Greeks and Romans in the camp, the Romans still remained in the minority here. With that in mind he’d like to think he’s met all of his fellow brethren and even if he hadn’t there was no way he would have missed her. He nearly slapped himself at the thought. He had let it slip from his mind that this was a daughter of Venus, it was only natural that such wayward thoughts would worm their way in.
Having brought himself from his self induced trance, he could finally think straight long enough to answer. “Actually, I was looking for one of your sisters but I suppose I missed her.” He admitted as he peered over her head through the gap left by the now open door, he realized that the cabin was empty save for the beauty in front of him. Giving his attention back to the stranger he figured he might as well introduce himself. The trip over here wouldn’t be a total waste if he at least made a new friend because of it. “My name is Kim Jongin, son of Mercury. I don’t think we’ve officially met before.” He extended his hand for her to shake, his smile never wavering.
@Kim Jongin [R] Eunji's eyes wandered around the cabin, her mind somewhere else. Her bones were aching from her daily practice — yes, an Aphrodite kid actually did practice willingly — and all her siblings were out, doing childish things that she had no interest in. She had no idea why they would just spend their time doing that, but she never really did understand them. All that it did was create more dislike for their cabin which Eunji really did not enjoy. Why did all the campers have to hate them? Sure, there were those stereotypes about them only caring about love and appearance, but not all of them were like that. A soft sigh was echoed around the room as Eunji laid her head on the hard wall. She was tired and bored, no energy at all. And just as her eyes were dropping closed, a sudden sound made it flutter open once again.
Slowly, she stood up from the comfy sofa, walking towards the cabin door. Her slender fingers wrapped around the knob, opening the door. She blinked, surprised at the sudden appearance of a boy. He looked fairly familiar....was he a Roman? Her head tilted slightly and she cleared . "Can I help you?" she said softly, her eyes looking up at his.
@Jung Eunji [G] If Jongin ever lived this down it would be a miracle to say the least. As he marched toward the infamous Venus cabin, or rather the Aphrodite for some, the laughter of his siblings rang through his ears. Apparently he’d went and gotten under the skin of one of the Love Goddess’ daughters in return she’d used her mother’s gift for hypnotism to force Jongin into doing a host of humiliating things around the camp grounds. While he wasn’t quite sure what all that entailed, he was certain it sent all the occupants of Mercury’s cabin into fits of hysterical laughter just thinking about it. He’d barely gotten any of them to calm down enough to tell him that much. The entire fiasco left him with a bone to pick. After all, he had a reputation to uphold.
Set in his determination, he approached the door of what was probably the least masculine cabin in the camp with a smile on his face. He had plans for his little friend. But as he waited for his response he realized it was suspiciously quiet on the other side of the door. An unusual occurrence, normally, there was never a time you couldn’t hear Venus’ children flitting about discussing some new fad or the love lives of their fellow campers. This kind of silence was…unnerving. Was anyone even home or were his ears playing tricks on him?

The next day, Naeun thought about his offer and she decided to go to that camp of his. After all, she knew she didn't belong with the regular humans ever since she was young. The goat-man smiled knowingly when he found her at the dark alleyway the following day. He brought her to a camp. The moment she stepped on camp grounds, a symbol was seen floating above her head. He didn't really know what this camp was all about, but he knew one thing for sure. Sehun knew that his real father wasn't a normal human, no, he was a God. Greek or Roman: Roman
Years they've been at camp & Age: 2 years at Camp Jupiter & 17 Years old
Godly parent/ancestry/etc: Pluto / Hades
Writing Sample: DaeHyun narrowed his eyes, wondering why he'd been chosen to be sent to this camp. Perhaps it was yet another laugh of fate at him, and by the Gods, he knew they loved messing with him. He hitched his bag up on his shoulder before boldly making his way towards what he expected to be an empty dorm. It being a child of Pluto, most people tended to be afraid of him and stayed away, which made making friends really hard. He blew his blonde bangs upwards before settling his bag down onto the cabin bunk. This would be an interesting time...
