@seokjin Mino gave a small smile, nodding slowly as he listens to Jin as he speaks, "chef, huh? I'm not the best at cooking honestly. I can cook basically nothing but cookies, ramyeon, mac and chees, and make sandwhiches... That's it," he laughs lightly. His smile only grew wider, revealing his rows of teeth a little, when the oven sounded to alert the two of them of their cookies.
He moved to stand up, reaching a hand out to Jin to help him up also. He waits for the other while he gives it a few moments before opening the oven door. Mino can feel the heat as it floods out from the compartment, fumbling for some oven mitts when asked for them. It takes him a few moments to search around for them before he's able to hand them over to the other male.
his lips, Mino stepped back to give Jin and the burning hot tray some room to move over to the kitchen counter. Hesitantly at first, he reached a hand over to help him move the cookies to the plate, shaking his hands a few times when the warmth from the fresh cookies felt like they would burn his sensitive fingers. "Mmmm, yum~" He nods his head slowly before taking one of the cookies, carelessly forgetting how hot they were for a brief moment and popping it in his mouth. "Ah-ah-ah... Hot.." Moving to the fridge, after he grabs two cups from the cupboard, he pours some milk into each of them for the two of them. It doesn't take even a few seconds before he has half of the glass cooling his burning throat.
Mino placed the cups on the counter, slowly sliding the other cup over to Jin as he takes another cookie. Before he knows it, he's already eaten perhaps ten of their cookies. They were sweet, really tasty. He didn't know if it was the recipe that Jin had been working on before he came in, or if it was because it was Jin who had been making the cookies when he walked in. It was probably a mix of both. Jin had said he was quite alright with cooking, and he definitely didn't doubt that. The fact that he had helped to make the cookies made them all the more delicious also.
Although he hadn't expected anyone to be in the kitchen so late in the night, Mino was definitely more than happy to find Jin already there. He kept trying to remind himself that he still needed to get his number. That would be nice to have, wouldn't it...
But as soon as they started talking some more again over the cookies, he completely forgot. It was so comforting, talking to Jin, that was. Mino talked well with many people, but he wasn't quite sure if he had ever felt this nice as he chatted away with the male.
"I'd love to meet again," Mino chuckles softly, unaware of the milk moustache above his mouth as well as the crumbs lining his his lips. He glanced up at the wall clock behind Jin and nodded, "sure, it'll be our little secret in the kitchen at night," Mino smiles with a little playful wink of his own.
Thus it was established.Their own special time together. Baking away without a care in the world. Without any other student to find out about the two of them and their delicious late night snacks.
One would think that he'd be tired of cookies after having so many of them so often. So much sugar at night probably wasn't good for either of them either. But Mino loved it. The cookies, Jin. Meeting him so late in the night made it different from meeting anyone else. He couldn't imagine missing their little baking get-togethers on any late night Saturday. As a plus, he also started to get to know more and more about Jin himself.

[I'll post this half here...and then the next in pm ><]

@mino (Aweeeeeee of course~ Ikr ikr ikr I'll miss it too it's so lovely and adorable ♡)

Jin hummed quietly in response, listening to Mino reminesce about his dream. "I, uh, I thought I'd be a chef, actually. I'm not too bad at the whole cooking thing.. But I guess my love for video games won over that in the end." The oven dinged, it's built-in timer dictating that the cookies should be done now. The heat would turn off automatically, so Jin waited a moment before he opened the door to extract the cookies.
Even so, it hit his face with a blast of hot air that made the other parts of his body feel cold in comparison. "Oven mitts," he called behind him, and they were handed to him -- after a bit of struggle, yes, but they were handed to him eventually. He got the cookies out of the oven, fanning the rising steam away from them, and started moving them to a nice plate he'd found earlier.
"There we go, chocolate chip cookies!" He announced, before starting to stack said cookies in a prettier pattern on the plate.
They were delicious, probably more so that they'd ever been before. Maybe it was just that he'd added more chocolate this time, maybe it was that he was enjoying them with someone else instead of all alone, maybe it was that he was taking each bite with the knowledge that Mino had made them. In any case, it was great.
"So... do you, uh, want to met up again, sometime?" Jin was leaning over the counter on his elbows, looking sideways and up at Mino with a light smile, holding a half-eaten cookie in one hand. "This time next week?"
And so it was, that for the next few weeks the two met up every Saturday night in the communal kitchen to partake in baking some delicious cookies. Jin never got tired of making them, never got tired of eating them, even though he and Mino ate them so often. It was the experience that made them taste all the better..
And of course, they got to know each other a lot better over the time that they spent baking cookies together.

A few more weeks later, Jin found himself in the kitchen again, taking another batch of cookies from the counter to bake. He and Mino had all but perfected the art of baking cookies by now, and they'd probably tried about seven or eight different types. All tasted great, especially because there were two of them baking rather than him alone. Especially because it was Mino Jin was baking with.
"How long have we been doing this, now? Feels like a while." He smiled, sitting down in front of the oven as was their custom. He wasn't even trying to watch the cookies bake now, and his undivided attention was on beautiful Song Mino. They hadn't kissed in a while, actually not at all since the first night with the party, but Jin wanted to. He hadn't told Mino so, not yet. He would today. The two were honest with each other now that they were closer, sharing secrets and discussing philosophical things (and video game things, of course) in front of the oven.
"I like you, Mino." A pause that was meant to be longer. "You're an excellent baking partner. And an excellent kisser, of course." A laugh that could mean 'I'm teasing you' or just as easily 'I'm just joking. It was hard to tell for Jin, too, honestly.
When the cookies were out of the oven and had either been eaten or wrapped into plastic to be eaten later, and when all the cleaning was done, Seokjin stood leaning against the counter as he asked: "So, can I get that number now?" He smiled, naturally, comfortably, almost cheekily, up at Mino.
He leaned closer, cupped Mino's cheek in his palm, gave him a sweet, chaste kiss.
A sweet, chaste kiss that soon turned into something more...

(WHAO this is long ho shiat.
Respond in PM, I suppose ^^)

@seokjin With just a mere few trivial facts about him, Mino, too, felt as though they were closer. Closer than before anyways. He had wanted to get to know Jin better when they first met and now he was slowly heading towards that goal. "Ah, Watch Dogs. I remember that. But the Assassin's Creed series I did like, but I think my siblings liked it more than I did."
He turned his head a little, resting his cheek against his knees again, eyes falling lightly over Jin. A smile couldn't help but spread when he saw the one on the other boy's lips. It was pretty in a gentle kind of way and cute in the handsome way he was. Mino was quiet as he patiently waited for the next question. His eyes trailed forward, landing on the cookies that were nearly done.
At first, he felt a jump of excitement because that meant that the cookies would soon be in his hungry stomach...but then a wave of displeasure rushed over him when he realized that that also meant this baking and little back and forth Q&A session was reaching a close. He frowned, just slightly, before he attempted to hide his discontent with a soft smile.
Dreams, huh? He had been too fickle with his when he was younger. There weren't any big and memorable dreams for him, though. He remembered dreaming of becoming a power ranger for one month and then not long after, he decided he wanted to be an astronaut. First killer whale in space! How special would that be? But those dreams died away not so quickly, but definitely not slowly. Still...what was one of those dream professions that stuck with him and didn't sound so ridiculous...? Oh yes... That...it was off and on, but... "A writer. I wanted to be a fiction writer. Make worlds of my own and share them with others. Make my characters go through hardships, but make sure that they lived doable lives. Stuff like that. I wanted to be one since middle school, but halfway through high school, I somehow decided electrical engineering was the thing for me," Mino shrugged his shoulders slowly once after he finished speaking. "What about you?"
He released his legs so that they could straighten a bit when asked for his family name. "Oh, it's uh.. Song. Song Minho's my full name."
A toothy grin spread on his lips. Despite it being so late in the night, he was surprisingly not tired, but rather rejuvenated by this little encounter between the two of them. For sure, it was much better than having one of them wake up in the other's room with a pounding headache in the morning.

[ nooo ;; it's gonna end? *sniffles* but it's so cute~ then like a time skip to several weeks of cookie baking sessions in the late night? Or...? ]

@mino "Mm..."
Jin didn't really have a lot to say, now. He felt like he knew Mino a lot better, and so when he next looked at him it was with an easy smile playing on his lips. "I was really excited for Watch Dogs when it came out, pre-ordered and everything.. Assassin's Creed was a nice series, too."
He looked back at the cookies, which had started to bake nicely and were maybe halfway to three-quarters the way done, by a rough estimate. Just enough time for one last question. After that, the cookies would be done, and so would their encounter... Seokjin didn't want it to end.
So he held off on asking his final question for a little longer, taking the time to choose one carefully and then taking the extra time he wanted to spend just being in the same room as Mino.
"Did you have a big dream, when you were younger? Something you wanted to do, and really thought you'd end up doing?" It was deep, delving into the past, but Seokjin decided that they needed to know at least a little something of that caliber about each other. He, personally, had worked off the belief that he would someday become a great chef for some fancy restaurant until very late, maybe halfway through high school, before he switched paths to computering-and-stuff.
Seokjin couldn't really watch the cookies now that he had Mino sitting right next to him, who was much more interesting in terms of how much Jin's eyes were drawn to him. He looked over and crossed his legs into a more comfortable position, watching Mino talk.
"Oh, and I don't think you ever told me your last name.. Maybe you forgot?"

(Soooo yeah, after the question gets answered and they get the cookies out of the oven, that's the end of the cookie portion!.. Although I think some is soon to come. ...)
mino (KissMe_Angel97) 9 years ago
@seokjin "No, no. It's not boring. I can positively tell you that you're not the only one with video games, and so it definitely counts," Mino chuckled softly as he moved his feet in a swiping motion like windshield wipers on a car, staring straight at his toes. "Honestly, I was really tempted to bring one of my gaming consoles here and a projector, but my family wouldn't allow it, saying I'd end up playing all day and missing my classes or not doing work." He let his eyes trail up from his toes up to the window of the oven where he could see the cookies that had not exactly gone very far in the baking process in the past few minutes. "Minecraft, though, never stuck with me. LoL on the other hand, I've secretly kept on my computer. For first-person shooters, both CoD: Black Ops are my favorites, Halo, too. I spend hours on the couch or on the floor in front of the TV when I'm home for the holidays or so since my parents wouldn't let me bring my games..."
Jin leaned over to wipe that little spot of dough on the tip of his nose and he found himself blushing a rather deep red within seconds. Either it was from the embarrassment at having something so messy on his face, or the..uhm...close proximity of the other male, or maybe it was both that got him so red in the face.
The male quickly curled back up instinctively, wrapping his arms back around folded knees. He let out an awkward cough. Oh god, it's back... no, no, no...go away awkwardness. We don't need you here.
"But...uh...uhm...hobbies. Right," Mino nibbled on his bottom lip as he looked up in thought. What would he call a hobby? "I guess, you could say I have a thing for reading fiction, and stargazing, but it's a little difficult to do in the city. So I have to settle for just reading, most of the time."
He let his eyes run along in little curvy trails on the ground, near his feet, before he summoned up the courage to let them peek up a little at the oven window, watching somewhat intently at Jin's reflection in the slightly tinted glass.
seokjin 9 years ago
@mino The cookies were, disappointingly, still not even close to done (to be fair, they'd only been sitting there for about three minutes), so Seokjin's eyes were far from transfixed on the oven. "Hobbies? Well, if you count video games... I've dabbled in a bit of everything, really. I had this obsession with Mario in middle school that lasted a while, um, and I played a bit of the earlier versions of Minecraft, casual games, you know, but I think I find that first-person shooters are a little more interesting now. Destiny was a disappointment, but CoD: Black Ops was amazing. So was Halo.."
Jin stopped himself before he could go any further. "Oh, but my endless talk must be boring you.."
He looked at Mino, who'd sat down beside him, to say something else, but quickly forgot about that when he saw a little smudge of cookie dough on the other's nose. Omfg cute.
Leaning forward and getting close to him, Jin reached out with his hand and wiped the dough off, smiling involuntarily as he did so because Who Wouldn't Smile at this wonder? One could probably die a horribly painful death from overexposure to the cute.
But when he realized how close the two of them had gotten, (he was practically on the orca hybrid's lap..!) Jin couldn't help the way he blushed embarrassedly, and made to sit back in his original spot. "What about you? Uh, your hobbies." He clarified, as it might be a challenge to get gack on track in their conversation after this little run-in.
Without anywhere else he could look without turning into a tomato-face, Seokjin turned his attention back to the still-baking cookies while listening to Mino's reply. Mino and his sweet, deep voice. .

@seokjin [ Psh naah, he secretly just wants to touch some water XD it's a killer whale thing /kicked
No need to apologize~ it's aight ^^ ]

Mino stifles a soft laugh behind his hand when he notices how the other drops some of his dough. He didn't want to seem impolite or anything for laughing at that. But the way he hastily picked it back up and wiped the counter with the side of his hand amused him for some reason.
"Ah, me too. There's lots of flavors I like to try, but mint chocolate is my all-time favorite," he peeks into the bowl to check for anymore dough, scooping up the rest and shaping it into another ball before he places it down onto the tray. Mino puffs his cheeks a little after he brushes his hands as if that would help get the rest of the dough sticking to his hand off...it didn't, but it was worth a try. As Jin moves to place the trays into the oven, he just watches silently, raising his hand to rub his nose when he feels a tickling itch. He missed how a bit of the leftover dough, that was stuck to his hands, transferred onto the tip of his nose.
"Pets?" he chuckled softly as he remembered the playful pup he had back home, sitting down beside Jin. He folded his legs, crossed them at the ankles and wrapped his arms around his knees, laying his cheek on top so that he could comfortably look back at the other. "I have a German Shepard, Siberian husky mix back at home that'll tackle you when he first sees you. I'm not sure how, but we ended up naming him Haku." Mino laughs softly before he puffs his cheeks again and lifts his head up to stretch it a little. "I wouldn't say he's super hyper, but he's for sure very jumpy."
His fingers drummed on his legs for a few moments as he thought of another question, "what're some of your hobbies?" Mino settled for the question before he stretched his legs out in front of him, toes touching the bottom edge of the oven as he threw his hands back to keep himself propped up.

@mino (Lol yes hygiene /smacked
Also, I apologize for the length again OTL couldn't think of anything to say..)

Green.. A forest green, he said. That was a nice colour. Seokjin was busy closing his eyes and imagining such a green when he dropped some dough-
He hastened to pick it up and wipe the counter a little (pretty mediocrely, with the side of his hand, but it was effectice) while he thought of an answer. "Mint chocolate." Seokjin decided finally, decisive on his choice but unable to think of anything to add to that. "You?"
Satisfied with the cookies (there wasn't any dough left in the bowl, so he really had no choice but to be happy with them, but.), he turned to take them in his hands to be transported to the oven.
He was afraid he might have forgotten to preheat, so he checked the temperature by opening the oven door; thankfully, the heat came up in waves and blasted his face when he leaned over the open oven, confirming hat he had in fact remembered to heat it up -- it must have been when he'd started making the dough.
Seokjin held the oven door open a little and slid one of the two trays in, the other following soon after, then closed the door and seated himself in front of the glass window to watch the baking process, leaving some space for Mino to join him if he wished.
"Did you have a pet when you were younger? Or, do you have one now?" He wondered, thinking of his own dog at home. What would he be doing right about now.. eating? Napping? Either was pretty probable.
"I have this tiny Maltese we somehow ended up naming 'Bingu,' " He chuckled, remembering the circumstances under which he and his brother had named the dog. "He's super hyper and jumpy all the time."

(Awawawa don't apologize~~ I was busy getting a lapdance from Woo Jiho omfg /shot)

@seokjin Mino snapped his fingers as if he remembered something before he turned around to flip the faucet on and run his hands through the warm water. That...was probably a good idea before he started touching the food with the fingers that had been tapping away at a keyboard and getting pencil smudges over the tips all day long.
It was both. He was excited at the idea that he would be getting cookies at 3AM in the morning (or some ridiculously early/late time of the like), even more so when he knew that he would be able to spend his time making and perhaps even eating said sweets with the other male. He loved sweets, and making them was even more fun. And Jin? Well:
Sweets + Cooking + Jin = ...? Who knows?... An extremely ecstatic Mino overflowing with sappy happiness, perhaps?
When Jin dropped the spoon in the bowl as he shaped another cookie-ball, Mino eagerly reached for it to begin his work. The smile on his lips was there to stay, but seemingly so was the awkwardness that so rudely butted into the older boy's life despite everything he's tried to keep said awkwardness out of his life. Although he was awkward now, it was only because the two of them barely knew each other but the taste of each other's lips and..such. Which wasn't much, honestly. At the suggestion to defenestrate awkwardness at the nearby window, he was definitely eager. Mino nods quickly in agreement, adding shortly, "games are fun. I like games."
Okay. If awkwardness was to be sent flying out a window, then he needed to stop with the stupid, little responses that were basically making the two of them quite uncomfortable. He was much more than thankful when Jin started first.
"Blue's a nice color. That's a pretty sort of blue... It was one of my favorites through elementary school... but I've gotta say my favorite color would have to be green. Like a deep forest, sort of green," Mino glanced around in hopes of finding something to better help him describe the color he liked, but wasn't doing too well. There wasn't much in a city, nevertheless a communal kitchen, that would have such a color so he gave up on trying to describe it further and just hoped that the other understood him without needing further examples that he couldn't seem to find.
Mino had to think for a moment on what he wanted to ask, but he decided he could probably just ask whatever and if it was strange he could just play it off like it was too late in the night for him to be asking proper questions.
"Hmm.. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?"
Sweets. Mino always had something sweet on his mind, so he turned his eyes over to Jin expectantly as he blindly began to shape the scoop of dough in his hands.

[Aight then~ Let's kill this awkwardness once and for all ^^ for you >~< Sorry it took so long, I've been actually off all day, with an occasional glancing at little chats >< So all my replies are being done now <3 ]
seokjin 9 years ago
@mino Jin chuckled, turning away from the bowl to roll up Min's sleeves. "I've finished the dough, so all we have to do is bake the cookies. Here, just take a spoonful of it and kinda make it into a circle, sort of.."
He demonstrated, rolling dough between his fingers to make a sphere and placing it on the baking sheet. When he looked over his shoulder at Mino, he saw that the other was smiling, maybe at the prospect of free cookies and maybe at the prospect of spending time with him. He hoped it was closer to the latter, although the former sounded reasonably plausible as well.
They would be spending a long time rolling the cookie-balls, so Seokjin cleared his throat, wanting to eliminate the awkwardness if we could. "Okay, since, since we're going to be here a while, why don't we make it our goal to stop being awkward around each other? I think it'd be a lot easier on both of our nerves, and- and stuff.."
He paused, waiting for a response.
Coughed.
"Let's, uh, let's play a game to make it easier, yeah? Like... truth or truth. Would you rather. Stuff like that. So, whenever we ask each other a question, we both answer it, and then the other person asks."
He kept making cookie spheres and putting them on the tray, keeping his hands busy while his mind stayed blank.
"I'll go first, since I brought this up.." He had to think a while before he came up with a suitable question. "What's your favourite colour?" It was stupid, but it sounded like a decent question to ask someone who was a complete stranger in all aspects except for the fact that they'd kissed...
"A-and, I don't think I ever got your last name."
The tray was almost full, so he stopped and got out a second so that they could bake all the cookies at the same time, just on different racks in the oven. "Mine is blue, like a light blue.. the kind of blue you get when the sun is up and shining in your face and there are puffy white clouds all over in the sky. You know what I mean? The type you see baby boys wearing, but, uh, clearer, I guess. Brighter. Prettier."
Jin turned his head to look at Mino, prompting him to ask a question of his own and at the same time just taking in his features as though it were for the first time. He'd never get tired of seeing that face.

(I've got something written up for the end of their conversation, which will probably last until after they finish rolling the dough into cookie shapes and after they bake them, but I have to use it after they become comfortable with each other)

@seokjin [ This ain't no mess! I'm the mess here... Haha, but length is never a problem. I promise ^^ so write your heart out~ ]

It seemed like everything Mino was doing lately seemed to be in the late, late night, or rather the early, early morning. He scribbled down a few more notes at the edge of his papers, looked back up to his oh-so-bright laptop screen and sighed. Almost done. Almost done.
He's been out too much, being the procrastinator he was. Dara had been taking him to more parties (nearly one every night) because he "needed to live a little more." Yes, because he wasn't doing that already with his load of classes, three sports teams and four clubs. Guess that isn't really living... Every time he went to each party, though, he kept an eye out for a certain someone. Because kisses from random strangers were quite pleasant...nah. He was craving the ones that Jin had given him.
He checked the time on his computer, then glanced out the window. It was too late for him to go swimming to clear his mind, but then again, he was much too lazy to go for a quick jog for as a substitute. Mino stood up from his seat at his desk, almost forgetting to hit the save button and dropped his phone from its spot on the edge of his desk. As if on cue, his stomach growled. Oh right, he forgot to go grab at least a bite for dinner at the cafeteria. By the time the engineer-to-be realized it, dinner was almost over at the dining hall and of course he was much too lazy to get changed from his old t-shirt and shorts to something more respectable or presentable in public, so he continued to work away until this time.
With a soft yawn as he stretched his arms above his head, he slipped out of the room to escape the repetitive sound of tapping away on his keyboard and the snoring that belong to his roommate so comfortable dozing away.
What a pleasant surprise it was when he reached the communal kitchen to find a supposedly familiar figure mixing away at a bowl with his back turned to him. Mino was 90% sure that this was /him/. Not /him/ as in his last ex, but /him/ as in his last kiss. He slowly, semi-tiptoed over and reached over to gently, hesitantly tap his shoulder.
"S..Seokjin, right?"
He wasn't quite sure what he was expecting, but sure enough the awkwardness in the room began to overflow again. Then again, what was their relationship without the awkwardness? Mino caught the blush and smiled. He hadn't had that effect on anyone for a while. Or maybe he just hadn't noticed.
So cute.
"I'll make sure I don't leave this room without your number, then," he chuckled lightly. Remembering the events of the morning last week and even the night before that, he fought back a blush on his cheeks, which he rubbed to disguise it as if he had been rubbing them all night. Speaking of his face, okay not really, but it was enough to get him to remember...once again, Jin had caught him without the make-up to hide that spot over his eye and he hoped he could play it off as unnoticeable. Pssh, who was he kidding?
At the offer to make cookies, he grinned widely. He could never say no to sweets. "Do I get to eat some? Otherwise I think I'm good," he joked lamely as he rested his elbows on the counter to watch as Jin set up the tray next to his bowl. "I'd love to help, actually. What do you need me to do?" he smiled widely with those sharp, bright teeth of his and leaned over the table.

@mino (I couldn't think of anywhere else...! Just imagine it's a communal kitchen
also the writing is disjunct and weirdly jumpy 'cause I kept wanting to make it longer...otl plz deal with this mess)

It was a week since he'd last seen Mino, a week since that run-in with the kiss and everything that came with it...
Jin was beginning to think there was something seriously wrong with his brain. How could he have forgotten to get his number? How could he have forgotten to get Mino's number, which had been his biggest priority after they started talking? He banged his head on his desk, cursing his memory and his distractedness.
It was late, very late, so late it was early, and Jin was still sitting in front of his computer. Still hunched over, typing chicken scratches for a non-sentient being to make sense of. He thought.. and thought.. and clicked save, maybe a little aggressively, closing the laptop and getting up from his chair. He needed to de-stress, relax, as he'd been sitting in the same spot for hours without moving anything but his hands (and occasionally cricking his neck). He needed to cook something, anything, whatever the ingredients present allowed.
The communal kitchen in the dorm was neat and tidy as it always was at three or so in the morning, though a lot of students who used it used it very messily; people always came to clean up a bit around midnight, and no one used it between the two times. Jin looked through the cupboards, listing ingredients in his head, and finally decided that he would be making cookies today. Chocolate chip cookies.
He was halfway through mixing the chips into the almost-finished dough, when he felt a tap on his shoulder, tentative and light, but a tap nonetheless. He turned his head to look behind to see who it was, and to his surprise (and secret joy) it was Mino. The guy he'd met at the bar. THE guy.
Upon identifying him, Jin quickly looked back to the bowl he was stirring the chocolate into, partially to make sure he would't mess up and drop everything, but mostly to hide the rapidly appearing blush on his cheeks. "What, what brings you here?" he coughed. Awkwardness everywhere.. The dough was done but he kept stirring it just to give his hands something to do."Was I being loud? I'm sorry, I'll, um, bake more quietly.." He wondered whether Mino thought he was weird now, or mean, because he'd left so quickly after stealing so many favours, left almost without a word. Also, he was worried that Mino /had/ seen him, and now thought he was very rude and improper for.. you know... in someone else's bathroom.
"I, uh, I wanted to find you again, after that.. after that night, but I realized I had forgotten to get your number.." he laughed nervously, "stupid of me, I know. I'll do better this time."
Jin stepped to the side, pulling out a baking tray that he'd already lined and placing it on the countertop next to the bowl. "Will you help me make these?" He accompanied the request with a small smile up at Mino, a hopeful one that was cute (maybe? he wasn't completely sure).
jackson 9 years ago
@seokjin Jackson just hummed and roamed his eyes around the surrounding while his roommate asked about the directions to the cafe. He was craving for some meat but right now anything edible would do for him.

He blinked and looked at his friend unsurely since the given directions had been vague but who was he to argue and simply followed the male. "Alright let's go that way then. "

After a while he heard his roommate say something like "Maybe that's it? " which made him look at the direction of the building curiously then he dumbly nodded his head. "Yeah, that must be it. Let's go. "He said in a sing-a song voice while walking alongside with his friend.

[]We should go to the café room, yeah?
seokjin 9 years ago
@jackson "Alright," Jin said, because that suggestion was really as good as any to start.
They started in the direction that Jackson had pointed out, but they couldn't see anyone really lingering around, and everyone who was moving looked like they were really busy. Jin didn't want to slow them down or disturb them..
There was one person standing next to a bus stop, surely it wouldn't be too rude to try and talk to them.
"Uh, excuse me," Jin said, "do you know the way to the cafés?"
The person nodded, though that may or may not have been related to the fact that they were wearing headphones, and their thumb behind their shoulder: 'it's that way,' or at least Jin hoped that that was what it was supposed to mean.
So they walked in the direction that the person pointed out, and after a few minutes Jin started to see a building a little ways away. He pointed at it, saying: "maybe that's it?" He wasn't sure about anything, but he sure hoped it was. His stomach was growling too loudly to be ignored.

@seokjin Jackson laughed loudly, clutching his stomach. Oh, he was going to have so much fun this year with his roommate. "I am sorry, Jinnie. But it's was really fun to see your reaction. You should have known better than to believe me by now. "He smiled patting the male's back, although he had the habit of ruffling people's hair much to their annoyance. He was sure if touching Jin 's hair would be a good idea.

"Yeah, let's do that. "He tapped his foot impatiently and immediately zoomed out once the elevator's door opened. He crossed his arms looking around searchingly. He should have asked someone before about the café when he had the chance. He readjusted his cap and looked around. "Let's go this way, maybe we will be able to find it. "He looked back at Jin and grinned whilst pointing the direction he wanted to go with his finger.

@jackson "Wh-what?" Jin had had no idea. We're they all supposed to know? Where could he find out? Were there even any maps around here? He was panicking, and he brushed his hair back by habit to try and keep it down, something he tended to do when he knew he was agitated or stressed out. "Uh, I-" his voice caught in his throat; what would he even say?

At Jackson's next words, he relaxed again, a little annoyed but knowing it was all in good fun. "God, you almost gave me a heart attack! I was getting all paranoid about whether there were other things I had to know but didn't..." He laughed. "I already told you I scare easily~"
"Let's just ask around, at least one person is bound to know something about their location. Or we can follow everyone else to wherever they seem to be going," he suggested, starting to look around for other students as they got out of the elevator on the ground floor.

@seokjin Jackson waved his hand dismissing the thought of being polite since they were friends after all, right? "Eh, there is no need to be polite, nor you have any obligations to reply about things you are not comfortable talking. I won't mind, believe me. "He nodded his head, swiftly walking out of the room and literally dragging the male along with him.

He stopped dead in his tracks and looked at his roommate as if the male had developed a pair of horns in his head. "Woah, you don't know where the café is? You are joking, right? "He asked with an unreadable expression there after turned around and started walking.

He placed his hands behind his head and chuckled loudly while looking at Jin. "To be honest, i dont know either. This is the first time I have been to this place. "Jackson stuck out his tongue playfully.

@jackson Did he have a soothing voice? He hadn't really known it, but he supposed people saw more in others than they did in themselves. Jin was flattered, honestly, but he kept quiet and thought that silently to himself, opting instead to nod and thank Jackson again for the words. His roommate was the nicest person, Jin knew he was going to have a great year. Though Jackson could be a little loud sometimes...
"I just thought it would be polite to, uh, reciprocate when you so readily told me about yourself. But thank you, that's very considerate of you."
He laughed when Jackson got ready to go eat, eager and almost vibrating with energy. "Yeah, let's go! I'll just have to keep up," he joked, hungry himself and already getting ready to go along with Jackson. The packing had finished a lot more quickly than he'd thought it would, working together with his new roommate -- no, friend -- was a breeze and easy to get used to.
Then he opened the door, holding it open and waiting for Jackson to exit, before following and locking the door behind them. "Uh, which way to the cafés?"

@seokjin Jackson narrowed his eyes at his friend's words before chuckling again. "Well then, i will try my best to annoy you more. "He grinned showing up a thumbs up sign before proceeding to continue what he was doing.

"But I am sure you sound great. You have a, what do you call it-" He chewed on his bottom lip while scratching his head trying to think of the exact words he wanted to say. "You have a soothing voice kind of even when you tend to talk a bit loudly at times, so I just thought. "He trailed off with a shrug and a grin.

Jackson sighed softly when he was done unpacking quicker than he thought he would. It was all because of his roommate's help. He was leaning against the closet, staring at the male with his lips pressed into a thin line as if trying to hold in his laughter but failed miserably. "You don't have to tell me if you are uncomfortable talking about your uality. "He laughed walking towards the other's bed and sat on it.

"Actually we are almost done and I am starving so can we now, please? "Jackson looked at his friend with pleading eyes. He was hungry and that was never a good thing, he would either become whiny and clingy or snap at everyone at these situations. He stood up and put on his snapback and jacket before holding the male's hand and tugged on it. "Come on, let's go, let's go. "

@jackson "No problem," Jin said, and he meant it: he was really glad to be able make such a good friend so quickly, getting to know Jackson so well.
"Nope, not at all. It's not that annoying... yet," he said jokingly.
Jin blushed at the compliment, though he knew he had no reason to; he hoped to everything holy that it wasn't too visible. "You haven't even heard me yet!" He laughed softly, still basking in the friendly warmth that Jackson's words had given him.
Jin nodded sagely, silent.
"That's a very elegant way to describe it," he said, but after a moment he realized that he hadn't reciprocated with information about himself, so he hurried to reply: "I do too, uh.. 'swing both ways..' just- just thought you'd like to know, since you told me, so.." The subject was kind of hard to touch on, awkward, but he had been curious.
Though he did like guys as well as girls, he was absolutely certain hat he didn't feel that way towards Jackson, and Jin's prediction was that they'd become great friends; however, no one knew anything about the future, ever.
He checked his watch: it was almost six-thirty, which meant he should be heading out for some lunch right after they finished unpacking.
"When we're done, wanna go out and grab some food?" He asked.

@seokjin Jackson just chuckled at his friend 's words as he stood up and made his way towards his luggage and opened it. Glad that the male offered him to help. "Thank you so much! "He answered his palms pressed together as he bowed his head in appreciation. He was glad to have someone so nice as his roommate.

"Yeah, I get that a lot. But I hope you don't fine me annoying. "Jackson smiled while scratching his ear. He had always been the mood maker either in his family or friend's circle. He took out the neatly folded clothes from his luggage silently thanking his mom for packing up his clothes, if it were him he would just stuff the bags with whatever clothes and other personal items he could find. "Sure, I would love to hear you sing. You must have a great voice. "He complemented as he filled the closet with his clothes.

"My preference? "Jackson quirked a brow as he looked back at the male and grinned. "I swing both ways, I guess. "He answered settling down on the floor as he picked up his precious collection of snap backs, mostly with the name Wang dominating his collection. "I don't have a type. I mean you never know whom you might fall in love with, so I always try and keep my mind open. " He nodded carefully placing his hats on the upper shelf and hummed.

@seokjin []Haha Yeah, I realized. But do you mind it?

@jackson (omg what is happening to the site)
Jin blushed at Jackson's mention of his hair, for one of the first times hearing that it genuinely looked nice, not weird or stupid.
He nodded. "That's true, but we're not exactly 'natural,' are we?"
"Right. Something about the way you jumped into the room and your larger-than-life personality..." Jin laughed, remembering it and his reaction to it clearly. Jackson really didn't look like the studious type.
"Hmm, music... Sounds interesting. I sing a little in my free time, so maybe we could, uh, jam together or something in the future."
"I'll help you unpack, since I'm already done.." Jin smiled at Jackson, as though to ensure the other knew how sincere he was being.
As they set about unpacking Jackson's stuff, Jin asked, "so, got any questions for me? Since we're to spend the next year together we should probably start getting to know each other really well. A-and what's your, uhh, your preference?"
(Seokjin means ual preference in this case)

@seokjin Jackson waved his hand nonchalantly when the male apologized for something so irrelevant. "Nah, it's fine. You don't have to apologize. You see this -"He spoke up pointing at his perked up ears twitching ever so slightly as he spoke. "Enable me to hear really well, so it kind of becomes a pain sometimes when people talk loudly. "He ran his finger through his hair, a habit he had gotten into while he talked or just played around.

"Eh, let your hair be. It look really nice just the way it is. "Jackson commented while leaning against the headboard and streched his arms, his tail curled around his leg. "See. Nature makes up for its fault. I wish I had night vision but other than that I am pretty content with myself. "The blond nodded his head firmly before pursuing his lips at the male's question.

"Yes, I enjoy it a lot actually. I senses are heightened, like seeing, hearing and smelling. Plus I am stronger than I look. So I can't really complain, right? "He laughed, his hand now rested behind his head to act as a pillow.

"No, I don't mind. You can take all the space you need, since I barely have anything to keep on the study table. I am not much of a fan of studying. But I am sure you have already guessed that, right? "Jackson chuckled as he stared at the male and hummed, his wet tongue wetting his dry lips. Another one of his habit while he talked.

"I am majoring in Music. The love of music kinda runs in the family, I guess. "He shrugged again, his eyes trailing outside the window, he closed his eyes for a quick second. "Ah man, I need to unpack my stuffs too. "He sighed softly grumbling to himself. He disliked packing, unpacking or studying. What waste precious time in boring stuffs when can do so much more? At least that's what he thought.
