Mino was the last member of the swim team left in to pool today. Everyone else had already gotten out and left for the locker rooms a while ago. The evening sun came through wide windows on one end of the athletic pool as the boy stood up on the diving block to prepare himself for one last practice for the evening.
An imaginary whistle sounded in his mind as he leaped out to dive into the refreshingly cool water. First was the ever-so-elegant butterfly . With the strength that came from training since childhood, Mino easily made his way through the water without too big of a splash.
Next came the backstroke. Although the it has always been his worst enemy in the water, he's somewhat come to terms over the years with the only that doesn't require his face being in the water. There was always something about having to swim with your back facing the bottom of the pool that has always unnerved the young male.
Third was . His breather, as he liked to call it. He moved smoothly through the water, and calmly enough for him to consider it a breather. It was the one he would do when he would feel lazy on days he practiced alone. It was easy. It was simple.
Lastly, freestyle. His quickest out of all. Mino might've specialized in this one if it weren't for encouragement from his team and friends that he was fit for the IM. He cut through the water, elegantly and smoothly. To finish, it took him perhaps less than half the time it had taken him to do his backstroke. He was most confident in this and as he touched the wall with the tips of his lithe fingers, he would've sighed in content at finishing up his practice with one last, good workout.
Although the locker rooms for the boys at the university were quite nice, Mino still preferred to take a shower back in his own dorm room. He would, of course, quickly rinse off he chemicals from the water on his skin before he changed into track sweats and a t-shirt with a team jacket over his swimsuit.
He was ready to get back to the dorms, take a nice, warm shower and just snuggle up in his bed, perhaps with a good book. But the beat of a song as he passed by the dance rooms caught his ear and he found himself entranced. Mino found himself standing full-length window next to the door that led into the room, and staring at the figure that moved oh-so-gracefully across the room. The young male stood there in awe as he just merely watched and listened. There was this passion in her movements that got him to admire her so dearly as she danced through the room with a certain natural feel that made it seem like she did it as easily as she breathed.
@mino The last rays of sunlight aflamed the campus like the final breath of a dying wildfire, igniting the secluded dance studio through the thick glass of the several windows and bathing the simple timber furniture in a golden gleam as the intro of 'Habits of my Heart' was starting to blast through the speakers.
Imaginary hands dancing across the keys and connecting the lonely notes to a blurred melody. A soft voice reciting scraps of the refrain like a ghostly echo. Pause. Another verse. Pause. And another until finally the beat kicked in, followed by the soft, yet sensual voice of Jaymes Young.
A young female was standing there in the middle of the room with eyes closed as her four remaining senses feasted on the displayed scenary. She could taste the tension of the fallocious calm before the storm on the tip of her tongue, smell the addicting scent of a buried passion, feel the fading sun on the exposed ivory of her pale skin and the pulsating energy of the bass beneath her bare feet. The music just flowed through her body and it was almost as if Nari could feel the notes running through her veins. Nothing mattered anymore in this one moment. No hauting memories, no long forgotten dreams, no pain. The world was blank, ready to be shaped to her desire.
But only when the track finally approached the hook, the spell that was casted upon the frozen figure broke and within the blink of an eye the beauty became one with the music. Completly giving herself up to the melody, her movements were fluid and precise – albeit the had a certain feeling of rawness to them. Just as if her life depended on it, like every cell of her body constantly ached with desperate need and the only remedy was the euphoria that dancing awackened in her.
An uncurable disease that intoxicated her blood a long time ago and poisened her heart in the most sickenly sweet, breathtaking way. It was the air she inhales but never exhales. Her lifeline, if you want to say so, disconnecting her from the world and taking her beyond anything that could be decribed with words. No restrictions, no rules.
@hyuna Chris was slightly taken aback when Hyuna had tugged him out of room. Honestly he was expecting himself to lead the way but he liked it this way too. "Where should we go eat?" He asked while tilting his head to the side a little. He really wanted some meat. Even the thought made his stomach growl just a little bit. "Ah~" Chris whined, rubbing his stomach softly with a cute little pout on his lips. "I didn't think I would be this hungry.." Looking over at Hyuna, his pout was still evident. "Come on~ Let's hurry~ Let's go to the carnivore cafe! I'm craving a lot of meat today." He then rested his head on Hyuna's shoulder. "I swear I feel like a child right now." Chuckling softly, he continued to rub his stomach.
@chris ( I DONT HATE YOU IF ANYTHING IT WORKS FOR ME BECAUSE I HAVE TO SLEEP SOON AND IM KIND OF ZOMBIE BRAINED ATM ANYWAYS SO DONT WORRY ITS FINE )
Hyuna immediately smiled and nodded her head. "Yeah, whatever time works for you is fine, doll," she assured the male, waving her hand nonchalantly. Her ears perked up a little more at the mention of volleyball, smiling at him with interest. "You play volleyball? Well then, I just may have to come see your game this week," she giggled softly, but looked excited. She loved watching sporting events in general, and absolutely loved playing them as well.
"Of course we can get some food," she chuckled softly, smiling at the way his tail moved around. She blinked her hazel eyes a little surprised when he took her hand, but simply laughed and squeezed it as she gently tugged him out of the room, genuinely happy that he was warming up to her now. "You definitely need food in ya, then. It isn't good to dance on a completely empty stomach!"
@hyuna "Really? Well...I'll try my best to show them what I got." A smile rose of his lips, his fangs proudly showing. "I'll make sure to make your lesson as easy as possible, okay? Would it be cool if we could do it next week? There's a big volleyball game coming soon so I won't be able to teach you as quickly as you would like." Stretching slightly, his tail had began to wave. He was starting to get hungry. "But besides that, would you like to get something to eat with me in the cafeteria? I promise we can go back to dancing after this but I didn't eat all day~" Walking up to Hyuna, he quickly grabbed her hand in a friendly matter, not really knowing how to communicate with friends. "Let's go?"
(I'M SORRY IT'S JUST ONE PARAGRAPH I HAD TO RUSH BECAUSE I ATE FOOD, THEN I REPLIED TO SOMEONE AND NOW IM EATING AGAIN BECAUSE MONTHLY AND I DIDNT WANT YOU TO WAIT PLEASE DONT HATE ME)
@chris [ its all good! sorry for the response, i'm packing for school atm ]
Hyuna grinned and tilted her head. "You're welcome, sweetie. I'm only telling you the truth." She looked at him with a hopeful smile, nodding her head. "All you'd really have to do is cut it down for me. Just go a little slower. I can catch on quickly!" she grinned confidently, her pointed canines barely revealing themselves. She had always been a fast learner in general, but she tended to be a perfectionist when it came to dance. She could do an entire routine with simply one, tiny mistake, and it wouldn't be good enough for her. It was a blessing and a curse in its own way.
She smiled as she watched him put his hair up, chuckling softly. "Of course, another time is fine. Just means we'll dance again together for sure!" She gave him a thumbs up with a little playful smirk. Her eyes lit up and her ears perked upwards at his words, nodding excited. "Great! That's okay, just having you be there is fun. But I'm telling you, if you were to ever show 'em even a little bit of what you just showed me, they'd be amazed. Like, you're REALLY good. Just remember that, okay?" the vixen smiled kindly at the feline, meaning every single word.
A large blushed formed over his cheeks, his ears flattening in embarrassment. He never expected for someone to actually like his dancing, even stay long enough to watch until he was done. "Thank you...Thank you so much. It means a lot to me." His smile was soft and genuine. "But ah...teaching? I don't think I can do that. I've never taught anyone anything before other than myself and...I-I wouldn't know where to start." Running a hand through his dark brown hair, his grey eyes looked down at his feet in a act of shyness. Teach her? He only learns by literally looking at the video a few times he got it down. He's a visual learner, mostly by memory.
"But ah...I could always attempt. Right? It never hurts to try things so ah- why not? But- could we do it some other time? I just would like to figure out what to teach you because at this point I'm still in shock." He then decided to put his hair into a little ponytail, some of his hair still in his face because it was too short to put up. "And I think you've talked me into attending class more, but I'm not going to participate much. Okay? I'll just go because you're there and that'll make me more comfortable."
@chris [ I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THEY WERE MARRIED WOW THATS AMAZING AND NO YOU'RE GOOD HAHA ]
Hyuna was completely mesmerized by Chris' dancing, her sharp eyes following each and every moment and recording it into her memory as best as she could. Just by watching him, she could tell how passionate he was about dance. Each move was sharp and swift, and while he made it look effortless, she knew better than that. She wondered how long it had taken him to perfect such a unique skill, and if she would be able to do the same. Just watching him was beginning to motivate her to want to do better, to the point where she would be willing to stay up all night long to do it.
"Wow," she breathed out when she was finally done, her eyes still round as she looked at him with an expression of awe. Everything, up until the very last pose, had been absolutely perfect. She hadn't even noticed any flaws, mainly because he had been moving so fast. "That.. that was breathtaking! I've never seen anything like it before, in person, at least," she clapped her hands, an impressed smile spreading across her face. "Seriously, you'll have to teach me this stuff.... although, I'm not sure if I could even catch up with it," she admitted, letting out a sheepish laugh.
@hyuna (AYA SATO IS LIVE OKAY. IM SO HAPPY THEY'RE MARRIED LOL)
Breathing out slowly, Chris rested his hands on his hips, his ears rotating slowly from the sound of the music that was slowly starting to rise in volume. His heart felt like it was about to burst out of his chest. This was a first time in years that he's ever showed someone this and he really hoped that he didn't mess this up. Eyes flashing open, his legs began to move in place to the music, his hips smoothing rocking side to side. His tutting was sharp and precise, his eyes having a serious glint in them as his demeanor completely changed. Nearly each movement his hair flew in every direction, he look so graceful as he twisted his arms in ways that'll take people a few months to perfect in. Turning his head to the side, he put his hands to his hips while letting his body lean over to the side, popping his upper half a bit as the music repeated "strike a pose". He had then quickly gotten down into a chinese split, moving his hands around his head quickly as his tutting was swift. Getting back up he started to back up, letting his body get lazy in movements but he looked sensual, running a hand through his hair to get into the mood.
Through out the whole dance, you could feel his passion and power with every move, even with the posing. There wasn't a bit of laziness or fatigue into his moves as he waited for days to dance with all that he's got. Ending it, he turned around, facing Hyuna, his hands reaching behind his head and flared out like a beautiful head peace. His face up, eyes to the sky, the music ended while his chest slowly moved up and down to catch his breath. Letting his arms down to the sides he let out a loud sigh. Chris felt so much better after that dance. He loved it. "I'm sorry if I looked like I kind of messed up. I had to remember each step because I haven't done that in months." He said with a tired chuckle. "But how did I do?"
@chris [ IKR ITS JUST MAJOR STRUGGLE CITY GOIN ON ALL AROUND HERE AND IM NOT LIKING IT BTW AYA SATO FJShggesnfHG PERFECTION ]
A frown crossed Hyuna's sharp facial features, shaking her head to herself in sympathy. "Ah, that'll do it. Some people can be really mean, huh? I've never seen the point in judging other people for things like that." She made a soft clucking noise with her tongue, but smiled when Chris agreed to her offer. "Just be warned, I eat a lot," she nodded her head seriously, but still just barely giggling. "So I don't judge you for your dancing, and you don't judge me for my eating! Not that I would judge you, anyways," she let out a light laugh, waving her hand.
"It's fine if you're a little rough, that's what practice is for." Her sweet smile spread even wider, eager to see the boy's moves. She nodded her head excitedly. "Yeah, exactly. Hip hop is just so... relaxing. I mean, I know it's so crazy and fast paced, but I guess I find that kind of thing relaxing," she laughed, shrugging her shoulders. Hyuna had always been a bit of a hell raiser. Not in a bad way, of course, but she simply liked constant stimulation. "Yes, yes, show me vouging!" she agreed with excitement, clapping her hands immediately in encouragement. Her eyes widened at the sound of the familiar name, getting even more thrilled about the conversation she and Chris were having. "Aya Sato? I've seen their dances before! Can you really cover dances like that? I tried to do it on my own, but I was having a little bit of trouble," she admitted, her lower lip curling into a slight pout. Her grievances were forgotten almost instantaneously, though, as Chris plugged in his phone for the music, her foxlike ears perking upwards in excitement as she let out a playful cheer. "Woo! Go Chris!"
@hyuna (/snaps all around/ yasss he better slay. IT'S FINE LOL IM GOING THROUGH TOO #THESTRUGGLE)
Chris blinked. She thought it was cool? "Y-Yeah, I was judged by it when I was in high school so that's why I've became a little closeted by it." A soft sigh escaped his lips as he started to remember the dirty looks he would get if he even added it to a dance routine of his. "It but, I'm trying to get out of that because it's one of my favorite styles to do." Nodding softly, Chris looked back up at Hyuna, a bit amazed at how beautiful she was. He was a bit jealous because she had gotten so much attention for everything and she still some how stays to be the one of the nicest people in the campus. Blinking again, Chris had just processed what she had said to him, but that had also threw him off guard. "I...Well- Me and parties don't exactly mix so I don't think you'll see me there." He said as he waved his hands in the air as rejection with a small chuckle. "I'll love to go grab a bite to eat with you or whatever." Another smile had appeared on his lips. This was the most he's talked in so long and so far he was loving it a bit.
"Honestly? I'm not too sure about showing you but...I guess I can show you a little. I haven't done this in front of anyone in a long time so I'll be a little hesitant with some stuff." Laughing softly, he listened to what else she had to say. His eyes opened wide a little. Really? She's looking forward to dancing with him? Honestly he didn't think he was that good but, it never really hurt to do this with someone. "Thank you, I can't wait to start dancing with you too. And hip hop is everything to me also. Yeah I love contemporary some times but hip hop- it just let's you get all of that stress out and there's really no rules with it. It's so much fun- it's freeing, you know?" Running a hand through his dark brown hair, the cat raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Show you more? From what I saw I'm pretty sure you know a lot." He laughed, his eyes turning into little crescents. "But, why don't I show you some vouging? I'm not quite ready to show you some of my pieces but- I'll just show you something that I've covered myself." Turning around to get to his bag, he asked a question while rummaging through it for his phone. "Do you know Aya Sato? They're my favorite vouge girls and they're amazing. I can't help but to cover their pieces." Finally grabbing his phone, he walked over towards the speakers, plugging it up to the AUX cord. "I'll do one of my favorite dances from them for you so ah- here goes nothing."
@chris [ demn that outfit tho chris SLAY and sorry for this late response omg i've been so caught up with the goin down but everything's ok now i hope ]
Hyuna let out a little giggle at the boy's excited reaction, going over to where her things were and grabbing her water bottle as she listened to him. After taking a swig and tossing it back down, she smiled at him as she waved his apology off. "You don't need to apologize, sweetie. You do whatever makes you comfortable. But hey, if you ever feel a bit lonely, just find me and we can go out somewhere, alright~? Hit up a party, grab some food, whatever. I don't want you sitting in your room all day or anything like that, got it?" she playfully scolded him, but grinned soon after.
She listened to his list of dance styles with an impressed expression, but her hazel eyes rounded even more at the last one. "Vouging? What's embarrassing about that? I've always thought it looks really cool," she admitted, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "You're gonna have to show me some moves! I would love to learn from you," she grinned, revealing some of her pointy teeth. "But wow. You must be really good. That's a lot of different styles right there. I can't wait to dance with you." Her eyes flickered with a mischievous but eager gleam as she looked at him, immediately liking the way he talked and smiled. "Me... I'm mostly all about hip hop," she answered, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Street dance is really fun too. But I haven't tried expanding to other areas... I'm too crazy about how wild hip hop dance can be," she let out a soft laugh, flipping her hair to one side of her neck. "It's a lot of fun. But maybe you can show me more."
@hyuna "Really!" The cat chirped up, his grey eyes nearly sparkling with excitement. "I...I'm sorry I didn't expect for you to actually agree with me." He said with a small chuckle, rubbing the back of his head. Chris felt so excited at this moment, actually having someone agree to dance with him and it was just great. "Oh, yeah I remember you. I apologize for not talking so much in class or even attending. A lot of people give me looks whenever I decide to join class but...I'm a huge introvert so me and crowds don't mix.."
His eyes then blinked once Hyuna had asked another question about his dancing style. Oh god, he had so many that he couldn't really pin point his main. "Well...I don't have a main one because I've picked up so many." His tail had then started to sway as he was in thought. How many styles did he pick up again? "I do popping, ragga, b-boying, contemporary, street dance, tutting-" His face had then turned a little pink, "I also do vouging but know one knows that okay? I just feel like I can trust you so- don't tell anyone that. It's a little embarrassing to me but I always thought it was really cool."
Honestly at one point he was judged for doing vouging which is why he was so closed up about telling other dancers that but, he just felt like he could really trust her. Plus, not a lot of guys come out and say that they do vouging. "So ah...that's about it. Those are the ones I mainly do but I do dabble in almost everything." A bright eye smile appeared on his face, his lips curling up in the cutest smile he could conjure up. "What about you? I would like to know what styles you like to do."

(This be his outfit. And sorry I just got back from the store)
@chris Hyuna's eyes flickered with amusement as she watched him closely, already deciding that she liked this boy. He had good manners, a good sense of respect, and not to mention, he seemed quite adorable to her in his shy, childish little ways at that moment. Her pointed ears immediately perked upwards at his requests, her red lips spreading into an even wider smile as she nodded her head. "Well, of course I'll dance with you, dear!" she exclaimed, already excited just thinking about it. She loved watching other people dance, especially if it was in more intimate settings rather than an entire classroom of students. It helped her learn better, and even teach her moves better.
She could tell he seemed a bit nervous, so she tilted her head deciding to start off with some tiny conversation before they got into any rigorous choreography. "I'm Hyuna, by the way. In case you didn't know. But I'm sure you did, considering I tend to speak a little too much in class," she chuckled with a somewhat sheepish tone, playing with a strand of her orange shaded hair. Tilting her head, she looked at him with curiosity. "Any dance style you prefer, in particular?"
@hyuna His ears perked up from hearing his name, a small blush rushing over his tan cheeks. How did she even remember his name? Honestly, the question that she had asked him flew right past his face as he was still in shock. He really had thought that he was just a fly on the wall most of the time in classes but- guess not. "I-I..." Not knowing what to say, Chris softly bit his bottom lip. He wanted to say yes yet he didn't want her to leave because she was so into her zone. "Yeah I do but...I didn't want you to leave because you were having so much fun." To say the least he felt guilty.
Pulling his strap over his head, he sat his messenger bag down with care. For some reason, he really wanted her to stay. Maybe this would make a good time to make a possible friend. Hyuna seemed friendly enough and her aura wasn't heavy, so why not go out of his comfort zone to communicate. "A-Actually...would it be okay if you could stay..here? And ah...possibly dance with me?" While asking the question, his white black spotted ears flattened in a shy manner. This was embarrassing for him completely, but at least he was trying.
@chris The vixen's sharp ears immediately caught onto the sound of a person walking inside, but she didn't want to stop now. She was almost done with the routine, anyways, but the curiosity of who this person possibly could be was certainly welling up inside of her. Hyuna loved to socialize, but at the moment, she also didn't want to throw herself off from what was about to be a perfect run. So she continued dancing, finishing it right out until the end, which luckily happened to be seconds after the male voice called out in a polite yet hesitant sounding tone.
"Whew!" she exhaled as she turned around, looking at the boy before her with a smile as she wiped her forehead with the back of her hand. Tilting her head, she studied him closely. She had seen him before, and if her memory hadn't been so sharp, she probably wouldn't have remembered his name. She had a class or two with him, and he was also in the dance club, but he never seemed to speak up. The only reason she knew his name was because of the teacher calling on him for attendance. "Chris, right?" she flashed her little friendly smirk at him, her eyes immediately flickering approvingly over his unique sense of style. It certainly suited him well. "Did you want to use this room? I could get out of your way, if you like," she continued, her silky voice sounding sweet and charming as her eyes trailed back up to his.
@hyuna God he hated how shy he was, wanting to visit the dance room so badly but he just couldn't put himself to do it. He hated it when people had watched him dance even though he wasn't terrible, he was actually pretty damn good but it was just the states that made him uncomfortable. Chris hated his shyness with a passion yet it was something he could never get over.
He was now standing in front of the dance rooms door, his eyes completely glued to the glass as he watched someone dance ever so gracefully. They were beautiful at dancing and they were so passionate that it made him happy. At the same time, it made him even more nervous to even step inside. He didn't want to disturb her or anything- what if she didn't like him? What if he just stepped in and he would already get a bad reaction. Besides, she probably think he's annoying because of how less he participated in the class anyways. Honestly she was one of the best dancers in the campus. Kim Hyuna. A beautiful girl with a beautiful talent.
Huffing softly, Chris hesitantly turned the door nob, opening the door rather slowly so it wouldn't creak so much. Closing the door behind him, he sat down next to the door, letting his body rest against the cold wall. His grey eyes watched her every move as she still danced. Chris wondered how long she's been dancing, her stamina wasn't a joke. 'What if I get her attention? No... Wouldn't that be rude? She's so into dancing and I don't want to bother her. Should I leave?' All of these questions were running through his head. It was starting to frustrate him a little. But how would it really be if he did just say a small excuse?
"Excuse me?" Chris peeped as he rose up from his spot. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest.
@chris Hyuna watched herself in the mirror as she danced to the music, her hips swaying perfectly to the rhythm in a somewhat seductive manner as she followed the choreography she had been going over with the dance club earlier on. As she bent over, her orange-brown hair would fall into her face, but with a simple hair flip as she straightened her body up again, her hair was back in place and no longer blocking her view. She moved her entire body in swift, gracefully sensual movements, her hazel eyes glimmering with confidence and determination. She wasn't even really doing this for practice; it was for some relief. When the coy vixen was feeling stressed, she liked to dance it out.
Her chest was heaving lightly in the loose, white tank top she was wearing, her black sports bra visible through the thin material. Her shorts were almost completely covered by the long tank, but a hint of them could be seen before leading to her slender, milky white legs, which were lightly toned thanks to all the dancing she did. She kept going, nearing the end of the song and concentrating on every single movement in her reflection, making sure to mentally take note of any parts she could improve on for the next run.
