@nari Yet another night was passing without sleep for Soohyun. The minutes slowly ticked by as he counted the twinkling stars spattered over the night sky. The many constellations became warriors and beasts raving over a dark canvass. Winged horses flew by as his eyes traced every star he passed by.

The soft grass beneath his back was cool, enough to be felt through his thin shirt. A small breeze would blow by from time to time, rustling his hair like the loving touch of spectral beings unseen to the human eye. Nothing could ever beat looking up at the sky on a night like this. No clouds, no light, just the sky dotted with flickering stars. Even with his eye he could make out the red dot he knew was Mars, hovering far out there in the empty void that surrounded them. For a second, Soohyun wondered how the Greek myths would have dealt with the questions society faced today. What if someone else was out there? What if there was life on another planet?

And as his thoughts wandered freely, his hands interlaced behind his head, the panda began humming to himself, a low tone at first before his lips parted.
"I was looking at my dream that is being deemed far away...
And I was standing blankly.
I don’t have anything left any more..."
His voice, even as hushed as it was when he sang to himself, carried out over the open area around the observatory, filling the silent air around him.
"I thought about giving up everything, but,
I am standing up again...
Even today step by step,
I step forward carefully.
My heart is full of fears
but it’s an excitement I’m embracing.
I am staggering and shaking,
But, I step forward towards
the dream that I am going to meet some day."

His mind trailed off the thought of heroes and legends, slowly taking form before his eyes. That heavenly smile and those golden eyes still haunted his heart, his yearning to see her again fuelling the emotion of his voice.

@kim soohyun Never had a midsummer's night sky been more serene and calming: the soft kisses that the wind blew pressed against the windows while the stars shone up above - igniting the sky and looking over every evanescent being. The stars protected you and cared for you like parents. The stars guarded everyone from darkness; the bare darkness that everyone was afraid of: the loneliness. Therefore they guided each lost seeker, illuminating the sky so it was no longer the monstrous chasm of dusk but the inspiring light of hope. And one would watch. One would see. One would learn. But sometimes the stars made mistakes, too. Some would get engulfed by work, some would get intoxicated by alcohol and some just didn’t care at all. And for Nari this was the case. The two stars that she adored when she was barely able to walk on her own two feet failed to guide her- failed to do their job as a parent. They left without a word or any explaination, fading like the sun when it was time for the moon to take over along with his dark embrace. But unlike the always repeating change of night and day... they disappeared for good.

Apart from the soft gleam of the moon and the stars, the only remaining source of light in this pathetic illusion of a substitute 'home' was the notebook resting on the firm, cool surface of her wooden desk.
For a moment – barely more than a blink of molten dioptase, the girl had interrupted her work as she lost herself in her thoughts, in that untold story of past, in these haunting memories that were locked deep inside her heart. However, now her petite fingers danced across the keyboard again as if nothing had happened and filled the empty silence with the faint sound of tapping despite the late hour. Another nightshift and another deadline had forced the young female to stay awake for the forth night in a row and postpone her sleep once again. It wasn't unusual for Nari taking her workaholic and nocturnal tendencies into consideration, though this time the lack of rest really impaired her ability to focus and not even caffeine was doing the trick anymore. She could feel how her hands slowed down bit by bit with each passing minute and how her eyelids became unddeniable heavy. Every time they fluttered close, it was harder to open them and no matter how hard she fought off the exhaustion, eventually her eyes remained shut as her head slowly sank onto her left arm. Morpheus had lured her with his sweet lullaby and now Nari was safe and soundly wrapped up in his embrace.
