N: Who is this?
@Cha Hitman *sits in the study, looking into people’s files at the manor*
*finds your files, and knows that I should stop looking, but keeps looking out of curiosity*
Hmm.
*looks through some more until I find information about the manor*
*wonders if I should stop before I get into trouble*
Well, I already came this far—
*keeps looking*
*worries about you getting yourself into trouble*
*decides to contact you*
*looks through for a way to message and messages you from my computer*
SH: Hey. Don’t do anything to get yourself in trouble.
*waits for your response*
@Kim Jinhwan Namjoon raised an eyebrow at the other’s response. “It seems I should put in extra effort,” He said with a small laugh.
“Jinhwan,” He repeated the others name for the formality, and he gave a small nod. “It’s nice to meet you.”
He sat again, hoping the other would follow suit and they could chat a bit. “If you don’t me asking,” Namjoon said, curious, “What were you working on before I destroyed everything?” He gave a soft laugh.
@Kim Namjoon "Hmm, it does, doesn't it?" Jinhwan commented let out a small chuckle along with the kthers.
"I might be a little more of a critical judge starting now then." Jinhwan joked lightly, the guy in front of him, Namjoon, seemed friendly, kind and cute. So it was Jinhwans natural instict to joke around he just hoped the other would understand. "I'm Kim Jinhwan. Nice to meet you." He smiled shaking the others hand.
@Kim Jinhwan Namjoon laughed, slightly shaking his head at the man’s response. “So I could, but this makes it easier,” He smiled.
Namjoon looked at the other man, his lips slightly parted as he couldn’t believe how calm he was about everything that just happened. He let out a small huff and an amused smile streatched across his lips. “It appears I’m rather lucky, but I think I can do better starting now,” He stands again and extends his arm, offering a proper handshake. “I’m Kim Namjoon,” He greats the man, a friendly smile on his face. Kind people like the one standing before him are a blessing, and Namjoon was going to take this chance to get himself acquainted.
@Kim Namjoon Jinhwan watched at the other male closed his laptop, and gave a small sheepish smile back. "Oh, okay." He nodded answering without thinking of what the other male said at first. "Wait, we stay in the manor together, so I am sure you could come up with any excuse to see me again." He nodded chuckling lightly at the other's remark about making a better impression the second time. "Well, this impression wasn't too bad." Jinhwan paused glancing at the broken microscope that he was using. "You just scared me a little, but yeah, maybe a better impression next time will do." Jinhwan chuckled once more with a small nod.
@Kim Jinhwan Namjoon closed his laptop, and he turned to smile at the other man. “This will give me an excuse to see you again,” He said, offering his best smile. “And hopefully make a better impression the second time we meet. I promise I’m not always this clumsy.” He pauses and though about that statement. “Actually, I am, but I don’t normally break everything.” Another lie, but Namjoon decided to leave it at that.
@Kim Namjoon Jinhwan finished sweeping the pile up and finding the trash can and dumping the pile in there, turning back to look at the other man in the room. "Wait, what?" He shook his head quickly, taking small quick steps trying to stop the man from placing the order. "But..." He paused momentarily. Why would someone want to replace something for someone if it was okay, he would be able to save money that way? Maybe he just felt bad for it, but honestly Jinhwan wasn't one to easily upset.
"You didn't have to do that." Jinhwan let out a soft sigh, placing his hands on the desk. "I uhm.." Jinhwan was normally the type to easily flow with conversation, and didn't have a hard time communicating, but now was not one of those times. Honestly, he was just trying to find a way to thank the person without sounding rude. "I..." He paused one more time, if he said he guesses he thanks the other male, that could sound really rude. "Thank you, though. I appreciate it." He said finally gathering the right words.
@Kim Jinhwan Namjoon stood again to look at the other man. He blinked in confusion. He was too calm for someone who had just had an item destroyed. It didn't matter if he had a thousand mini microscopes, he should be upset that one was destroyed in a matter of seconds by a very careless man. "It's no trouble at all," Namjoon insisted. He placed the microscope back on the table, riddled with guilt. "Even if it's not expensive, it's my fault it broke. I should be responsible for getting it replaced."
Namjoon opened his laptop as he sat at the table. He immediately searched the exact model of the microscope that was now destroyed, and he placed the order with the one-click buying option. "It's already been ordered," He informed the other man. "I'll bring it to you when it gets here."
@Kim Namjoon Jinhwan often took time out of each and everyday to study on his own, whether it be for a small hour or even just 30 minutes. Most of his studies would revolve around the medical field, considering he was a doctor, but there would be more that he liked to study as well, so it was never just a specific topic. After years of school Jinhwan couldn't stand not learning something, and it felt weird to him. Today, he finally found some time that he was able to take out and headed to the study, his room was hardly ever the place he like to do any of this stuff so unless he honestly didn't feel like getting out that day, he was either in the study or the library.
Having brought all his stuff he set it neatly on the table and was reviewing his notes and work. Once he finished doing that he got up and paced around the study. After stretching for a minute he sat back down in one of the chairs, not ready to get back to his studying yet. If he studied for more than an hour, Jinhwan took small breaks every so often. He was almost lost in his own thought, when he heard someone come into the room, but didn't really look to see who it was or anything until he heard a crash on the floor, causing him to jump almost halfway out of the chair. "Oh my god." He whispered more to himself looking at his microscope off the ground, and stood up. He wasn't upset that it was broken, but it did scare him. "No, no. It's okay." He said moving to clean up whatever mess was made. "I have plenty more"
@Kim Jinhwan Wednesdays were Namjoon's least favorite days. They were supposed to be the big break in the week. Two days after Monday and two days before Friday. They were supposed to fun. Not for this workaholic. Wednesdays were the middle of the week, which meant that Namjoon had to review everything that he hadn't gotten done that needed to be done before Friday. It was the day that he sorted out the last two days before his weekend. It was the most stressful day, and inevitably the day that he was bound to make the most mistakes. What could he say? As much as Namjoon liked to give off the image of a perfect man, he was far from it.
The study was the only place in the manor quiet enough for Namjoon to get done what he needed to get done before the weekend came. Coffee in one hand, with his laptop caught between his arm and his side, and a stack of reports in the other hand, Namjoon kicked the door to the study open. He was too distracted to realize the other person in the room, and he didn't even glance at the table before tossing his files down. The only thing that brough him back to earth was the crash that happened as he slid his laptop onto the surface. His heart almost leaped out of his chest and his eyes shot wide open. Turning his head just slightly, he noticed another man sitting in the room. He was afraid to look down to see what happened, but he force himself to do so. ", I am so sorry," Namjoon apologized. He immediately knelt down to pick the microscope off the ground, but he knew it wouldn't do any good. It was already broken. "I can pay for that, you know."
@Dennis Oh Jinhwan opened his eyes slowly looking at the shattered pieces of the vase. He looked up at the man who knocked over the vase, he didn't exactly see him push it over, so he assumed that it wouldn't have been on purpose. So naturally when the other asked if he promised not to tell, Jinhwan paused for a moment thinking things over. If it wasn't done on purpose then he wouldn't just go and tell someone himself, but if someone asked him if he seen it happen he might say yes. Of course, he might just say he didn't know the man who knocked it over, because as far as he knew, he didn't. So Jinhwan went with a simple answer. "If no one asks." Again his voice soft.
He watched the male as he swept the shards away with his foot, he was sure he didn't know him, but knew that there was something extremely familiar about him. Of course, when the male said he believed he knew Jinhwan it confirmed it a bit more, but he still couldn't figure out where he seen the male before, and most definitely couldn't remember his name.
"Hm?" Jinhwan hummed a bit lightly in surprise not exactly expecting the other to know his name. He nodded slightly, racking his brain where he could have seen the other before. "Yes.. You're correct."
@Kim Jinhwan His voice reminded him of someone, so when Dennis turned around, he couldn't stop frowning. After rumors about his step-sister's wedding getting delayed, or possibly cancelled, Dennis went back to his hometown to find out. Unfortunately, his university schedule kept him from coming. But now, that man was in the same room with him, which shouldn't have surprised him if Dennis made an effort interacting with all the guests.
"I was wondering why they'd place something fragile tactlessly, but I am just as a clumsy. Promise not to tell?" Dennis tried to smile. He wasn't sure of his step-sister introduced him to her supposed fiancé, since personal relationships are something they don't prod nosily. But his step-parents did show a video of those two during a fancy family party that Dennis failed to attend because of work. They were flaunting the couple to encourage Dennis to get married soon; otherwise, they might pair him up with someone. It was an uncomfortable thought.
"We haven't met, but I believe I know you." He uttered, not looking at his companion. Instead, he swept the shards with his foot closer to the wall, so no one would accidentally step on it. Afterwards, he turned to the man.
@Dennis Oh No longer a medical student and now a doctor, Jinhwan still studied as if he was still in medical school. He gathered his books in his room, and headed out to find somewhere to study. He didn't like doing much in his room as he always thought it was a place to rest, and if he didn't get out then he'd possibly drive himself mad from being in there all day. It was too small of a space to be cooped up in, and the only time he liked doing anything in there was at night time when he decided to write in his journal, and go to sleep afterwords.
Walking around the manor Jinhwan somehow found his way to the study, a perfect place to do just that, study. He walked in quietly not sure if there was anyone else in the room, as he wouldn't have want to bothered them. He noticed someone walking around the study, but didn't pay no mind to them, and set his books down on one of the desks. After he set his books down he stretched lightly and observed the room before he wanted to sit down.
Jinhwan jumped lightly when he heard the shatter of glass on the floor, of course watching it happen and anticipating the noise made it a bit worse for the doctor, he eyes were held tightly shut not wanting to see the piece break. He looked back up at the male as he asked a question. "I seen that break.." Jinhwan said his voice softer than he planned to.
@Kim Jinhwan [Odd number. Dennis breaks the vase then.]
Getting lost would be a huge inconvenience, so Dennis decided to visit the study and search for the mansion's layout. Usually architects would frame their design or a blueprint of their best works—Dennis couldn't see why they wouldn't flaunt something as a big and intricate as this mansion. And so, he went to the study while everyone gathered for lunch. It was for his convenience, since he wasn't the most social person among the guests.
The study was much smaller than the library, but almost identical. The only thing that makes this tiny room stand out were the display of artifacts, since the library only contained books. A large gold globe stood on the left of the table, while several vases adorned the dimly lit corner of the room. Books were neatly arranged, except for a few novels that were stacked on the table. Some of them were written in another language.
Dennis snooped around the room, running his finger through the spines and peeping at every gap. "Maybe I was foolish to think that there's a mansion layout here." He grumbled to himself. "They're bound to keep one since the place humongous. Someone's bound to get lost." Dennis noticed something behind the shelves. He leaned over and slid his hand to feel the wooden corner of a frame. He went to the side, leaning closer until his knee knocked a tall vase, which easily shattered upon impact.
"." He cursed, thinking it was an ancient artifact due to the intricate designs. But after kicking a large shard, he saw the "Made in Bangladesh" carved inside the ceramic. It is expensive, but not priceless. The thought of getting kicked out wasn't amusing, and the fact that he felt another presence inside the room made it more worrisome.
