@Oh Saebom@Koo Junhoe@Jung Hoseok Taehyung had felt this strange urge pulling him towards the cellar. It was way too early in the morning to be wandering around the dark manor but something was practically screaming at him to go to the cellar. And so without realising it he had ended up down there. Strangely, he was not the only one who had found his way there.
He turned to look up the stairs as he heard the door close, a soft frown forming on his face as he waited to see who was coming. He relaxed a little as he saw the familiar face of Hoseok. Well, familiar enough.
Hoseok wasn’t sure how it ended up like this. First he was in bed, in the middle of a dream, when he suddenly jerked awake from a bad dream. Hoseok was startled easily and afraid of most things, but he never had troubles with nightmares. They happened occasionally, and were also small dreams that he would sleep through. Never did they wake him up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night.
After a few failed minutes of trying to go back to sleep, Hoseok slipped out of bed, careful not to wake Jaehyung, and he headed to the kitchen. A glass of water would help clear his mind. Holy water would probably fix the nightmare, but where would he get that at this time of the night. Were you even supposed to drink the stuff?
He froze as he entered the kitchen, noticing the door to the cellar open and light flowing into the kitchen. That was odd. It had to be around three in the morning. No one should have been down there. Although terrified, Hoseok tiptoed over to the cellar, and he could hear voices coming from downstairs. They sounded familiar, voices he had heard around the manor before, so that was a relief. Curious, he tiptoed down the stairs, trying to be as quiet as possible. The light turned off and the door slowly shut behind him, so he quickly walked the rest of the way down, trying to keep his fear contained instead screaming to attract any attention, and he met the rest of the houseguests downstairs.
-walks down into the cellar looking at the wine choices-
Hmm.
Do I want some wine?
-looks around-
I could enjoy some wine by my self.
-nods grabbing a random bottle of the shelf and a glass from somewhere sitting at the table pouring myself some wine-
*walks into the cellar and sits down watching the door close and lock closes my eyes trying to count out the time but ended up distracting myself completely. Gets let out once the time us up walking out like nothing happened*
@Park Jaehyung Hoseok was just glad to finally be out of that cellar, and Jaehyung was kind of like his savior in a way. If Hoseok had gotten locked down there by himself, there's no telling how long he would have been trapped. "You're amazing," Hoseok said before he even realized it, but it was true. They were now free because of Jae. "Yes. We should definitely go back to our room." Hoseok agreed, as the room was one of the only places in the manor that he actually felt safe.
@Jung Hoseok Jaehyung made a mental note to remember the user name. He probably should put in his phone, in the notes. He wanted to see some of Hoseok's cover, and it felt like Hoseok was still too shy to show him his skills. Jaehyung was sure - definitely certain - that the other was good at it even! The body. Okay. Jaehyung wouldn't deny that he might have checked out some of his companions' bodies. That was for educational purposes, alright? He was a designer. He was an artist. He needed reference.
(Getting too defensive, are we, Jae? Shut up.)
Jaehyung laughed in a comical manner, touching his chin with his forefinger and thumb. "That's because my abilities need time to bless the world." Actually, it was because he just remembered it while he sat. And he wasn't even sure it was going to work. He didn't want to give the other false hope. He cleared his throat and looked at Hoseok. "D'ya wanna go back to our room now? I'm gonna show you le Great Artiste Jae's amazing skills."
@Park Jaehyung "Yeah, if we have time!" Hoseok chimed. He was sometimes shy about dancing in front of actual people instead of just a camera, but he appreciated every opportunity to show off his dance. "Yeah, I'm Jung Hope on YouTube." Hoseok had been on YouTube since the time of usernames, and when the trend of going to your real name started, he decided to go with Jung Hope instead of Jung Hoseok because his viewers had already learned him as J-Hope.
When Jae took the pin from Hoseok, Hoseok hopped up and followed him, watching him in amazement as he picked at the lock. When the door clicked, Hoseok let out a scream, but it wasn't of terror this time. He hugged Jaehyung tightly, screaming in excitement. "Why didn't you do that earlier?" Hoseok asked, just relieved that they'd finally be able to get out of that dusty old cellar.
@Jung Hoseok "Show me your dancing sometimes! I'm sure you're great!" Jaehyung wasn't stupid enough about dancing not to see that Hoseok had the body of a dancer. Jaehyung felt excited to see the other dance. How good would the other be, he wondered? "Plus give me your YouTube channel name. I'm subscribing."
Jaehyung was a lurker in YouTube. He had wandered off to random videos, and he learned quite a few things. He took the safety pin from the other and examined it. "Well, this would do." Jaehyung stood up and grinned at the male. He put a hand on his waist and pushed his glasses up his nose. "Little one, watch Le Great Jae carefully and be amazed with his godly skills!" He walked up back to the door, sat on the top step just so he was at eye level with the door knob. He inserted the safety pin inside, and pulled a hairpin out of his pocket (he needed two, that's why he asked), and messed with the doorknob.
@Park Jaehyung "Dancing machine, Jung Hoseok," Hoseok said brightly with a little laugh. "I'm not that great, honestly," He said with another laugh, softer this time. Hoseok couldn't wait until they could get back into their room so that he could see Jae's works. "A hair pin?" Hoseok wondered why Jae would need something like that all of a sudden. Sometimes, Hoseok did carry hair pins on him, as they were useful for keeping his hair out of his face while dancing, but he didn't happen to have any on him at the moment. "I don't think so..." Hoseok thought for a moment. "I do have this safety pin though?" He said, grabbing a little pouch that he had clipped to his pants. The clip on it broke, and he had kept it attached with a safety pin until he could get it fixed.
@Jung Hoseok "You dance?" Jaehyung looked at Hoseok in awe already. Had he mentioned that he'd always wanted to dance when he was young? "I loved dancing! But I can't, unfortunately." He just didn't have the talent for dancing. His abilities and talent lay somewhere else—somewhere much less tiring. He then smiled widely. "Oh, when we get back to our room, I'll show you! I actually have my laptop with me. It contains most of my works!" Now he was getting excited. He wanted to show the other his works, just to share how much he loved his work. But first, they needed to get out of here. He suddenly had an idea. "Say, do you have a hair pin or something?"
@Park Jaehyung "Yeah, I post vlogs on just about anything on my main channel," Hoseok said with a small chuckle. His channel content was very unorganized, but people seemed to stick around just to see Hoseok talk about things, so he loved it. "I also like dancing, and I post dance videos on a second channel," He added. He envied Jaehyung for being able to get somewhat comfortable. Hoseok just sat there, stiff and afraid to relax, knowing that some creepy crawly monster would sneak up on him when he least expected it. "So, you're artistic." Hoseok said when hearing Jaehyung's professions and hobbies. They were different sorts of arts, but they did have that in common. "I'd like to see some of your work sometime...when we're not locked in a creepy cellar."
@Jung Hoseok "Ooh, you're a YouTuber, huh?" Jaehyung was a lurker in the YouTube community. Often times, when Jaehyung didn't feel like playing games or finishing his projects (which were mostly and usually due the day after. Procrastinating was life, okay?), he would watch random videos on the internet. "Do you post vlogs? I might have stumbled on your account one time." He leaned against the stairs, slouching his back as he rested his elbows two steps above the one he was sitting on currently. "I'm just a bored graphic designer who animates sometimes. Well, I'm a photographer too, but that's more of a hobby for me rather than a profession."
@Park Jaehyung It was still scary down here, but now Hoseok was more afraid of having a spider crawl on him than he was of getting spooked by a ghost. Spiders were definitely scarier than ghosts. He sat along with Jae at the stairs, hoping like hell nothing would crawl on him. “Yeah,” Hoseok agreed because, come to think of it, there was still a lot of things that he didn’t know about Jae and vise versa. He decided that he should start. “I’m a journalist, and I make my living from my blog and YouTube channel.” He left it at that, not wanting to ramble too much and make it all about himself.
@Jung Hoseok Jaehyung had no idea. What could they do while trapped somewhere? They only had wine to entertain them, but getting drunk in this place would be the worst idea they could possibly go with. He sighed softly through his mouth and sat down by the stairs. It was practically the only thing they could rest on without getting spider webs or dust on them. "Talk?" And wait for a miracle to happen. He was half-tempted to sing "I Wait," a song by a popular band he loved listening to. He then smiled at the other. "Well, yeah, we could talk. It hasn't really been long since we met, right? And we're roommates for the mean time too! So let's get to know each other."
@Park Jaehyung Drinking would definitely make being stuck down here a lot less scary, Hoseok thought, but it probably wouldn't be a good idea. He could be a bit...extra when he was intoxicated, and he was more of a social drinker anyway. "It wouldn't be any fun without the whole party," Hoseok stated, slipping the wine bottle back into its place. "So...what should we do now?" Hoseok asked, not with the slightest clue how long they'd be stuck down here.
@Jung Hoseok Jaehyung relaxed a little when Hoseok had calmed down. Screaming definitely wouldn't have helped them here, despite how tempting it was to him right then. Would someone hear them if they screamed? Jaehyung was half tempted to test just how loud their screams could get, but he didn't want to ruin his throat. What would happen to his precious voice if he did? He sighed softly, and as Hoseok managed to turn on the light, he blinked repeatedly. He removed his glasses and rubbed his eyes softly. He put it on once more and let himself look around.
"The celebration would have to wait, it seems." Jaehyung laughed, walking down the stairs still carefully as he didn't trust his eyesight in the dark. He wasn't the type to drink much - both alcohol or wine. He didn't really like the taste of both. And when he got drunk, it was bad. Hella bad. Or so his friends would tell him. "Are you gonna drink?"
@Park Jaehyung Even with Jaehyung's help, the door still wouldn't come open. They were locked down here. In this dark creepy cellar, and there was no telling how long it would be until someone came by close enough to hear them asking for help, so Hoseok wondered if it would even be worth the energy. Well, at least if they could find some wine down here, there'd be something for them to drink.
Hoseok tried to calm down. He could tell that Jaehyung was scared, too, but he somehow made Hoseok feel calmer.
"M-maybe we should try to find a light," Hoseok whispered. He was afraid to feel around for a light, worried that there might be a spider on the wall, but he really didn't want to sit in the dark. His fingers brushed over a light switch, and he flipped it on. The light hummed and flickered as he dimly lit the room. It still offered barely enough light to see anything, but Hoseok could see well enough to at least go back down the stairs safely and see where the wine was stacked at the back of the room. "Well, I found the wine." Hoseok said, and he grabbed out a bottle with a soft laugh.
@Jung Hoseok Jae could feel his heart skip a beat - but not in the good ol' romantic way, but in the holy--I'm-gonna-die kind of way. He could barely see in the dark even when the door was open, but now he was almost blind without the light. He quickly ran over to where he thought Hoseok was, still trying to be careful as to not accidentally break his glasses in the process. He tried to open the door as well, hoping that Hoseok was too much in a panic that he couldn't open the door correctly.
No such luck.
Jae cursed under his breath, and he tried to calm down his heart that seemed to race the horses with its speed. He took several deep breaths and turned to face Hoseok - to where he thought the other was anyway. Hoseok's breathing was loud enough for him to figure out where he was. He held Hoseok's shoulders firmly. "H-Hey, Hoseok, calm down." His own voice was shaking in fear, but he tried to control it.
@Park Jaehyung The instant Hoseok stepped into the stairway, he felt that he had made a bad decision. Even if it wouldn't take long to get drinks, it was still creepy to go down there. He wanted to turn around and head back, and he was just about to do that when Jae moved closer to him, the other's fear only making him more scared. Just then, the cellar door closed, and Jae screamed, making Hoseok scream, and Hoseok grabbed onto Jaehyung's arm, clinging to him, which was his first instinct. His second instinct? Running back up the stairs and trying to open the door, which was now locked. Oh, how obvious and cliche was this? "Jae, I can't get the door open," Hoseok said, on the verge of tears now, he was so scared to be stuck down there.
@Jung Hoseok Jae was beyond relieved to know that they'd solved the mystery. He was thankful for all the mystery novels and games he'd seen before that helped shape his mind into what it was right then. Touring right now would be a good decision - who knew if the next one to happen would be a real murder? He his lower lip as he accompanied his friend, wondering if it was a good idea to move around with just the two of them. He was aware, very much so, that they were... not the bravest of all people.
Nevertheless, even if his name was indeed Chicken Little, he'd rather not live up to the name. Even if the cellar looked terrifying with how dark it was, he would come because well, even if Hoseok got as scared he was, at least he had company, right? "Yeah, that would be a good idea," he agreed, nodding as he followed after his friend. It was dark inside, he wasn't surprised. So he moved closer to Hoseok. All they had to do was see if there were drinks, right? That was easy. Hella easy.
But the door suddenly closed, and Jae was the first to scream.
@Park Jaehyung Now that the murder was solved, and everything turned out to be fake, Hoseok wanted to get more of a feel for this. And who better than with his new found friend Jaehyung? The place was still pretty creepy, but Hoseok didn't mind exploring and getting to know it better. He thought if he knew it better, solving the next murder wouldn't be so difficult. While looking around, he found that the cellar was unlocked and the door was wide open after having been locked up since all the guests arrive. Cellars were creepy, and Hoseok was well aware of this. He was also well aware of the fact that he was a chicken and would scream if a mouse ran across the floor, but the curiosity in his mind was too much to ignore. Besides, maybe they could find some fine wine down here. "We should go down here. Maybe we can find some drinks for everyone to celebrate solving the mystery," Hoseok said, hoping that Jaehyung would follow him because he didn't want to go down there alone.
