@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} Boa smiled at him thinking that this was what made him so lovable. He always put others first. That was also part of why she made it her mission to take care of him. "Ew! No no no!" She took off her seat belt and opened the door before jumping it. "Tell Dr. Kim to braid it." She stuck her tongue out

@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} Godfrey hummed happily and pulled away since the consul of the car was jabbbing into his stomach. "Okay... as long as yourr happy" he said with a smile then chuckled softly. " what? You can braid my beard hair. Wouldn't that be fun" he teased with a smirk

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} "Thank you." For the first time in a long while she was truly happy. She decided to enjoy it while she could, because there was no guarantee it would last. "You know I will listen though and I'm not made at you being overbearing. I get it. Trust me, it's better than being ignored." That was what she was used to in her family. "Okay. I will talk to her about it tomorrow." Oh he made it too easy to sometimes. "No. It's prickly and sticks me when I kiss you." This time though, she was serious. "Ew no! Please don't."

@Kwon Bo-ah "I promise Boa" he said smiling and pulled her closer. Godfrey was happy to hear the excitement and happiness in her voice. "Good.... I know i can be overbearing sometimes but its because I love you and care fo you. " he said and nodded his head. "Yeah tell her to come see me but it's no rush whenever shes ready and has the time. " he chuckled softly at the kiss then acted offended. "What? You don't like the 5 oclock shadow? " he said stroking his chin. "Should I grow it out so I can braid the ends?"

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} This time Boa wasn't letting it go. "Promise me! I need you." She had never said those words to anyone before, but it was true. She'd always needed him. Knowing he was there kept her sane and safe. She didn't do things that were dangerous or risky, because she knew she had to be healthy for him. "No. It's okay. I get it. You worry about me. It's actually nice to have someone worry about me." Hearing what he said about Hyuna, she foresaw a few babysitting nights ahead for her and she was perfectly fine with that. "Alright. Do you want her to come talk to you?" She knew he liked Hyuna which would make things easier for her. She kissed his cheek when he hugged her and smiled. "Um, dad." She pulled back and looked at him. "You need to shave." Then she burst out laughing.

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey had to admit that he did freak out but he really couldn't help it. Boa was practically the only family he had and he would do anything to protect her at all costs. Maybe he was a bit irrational with his choices with protecting her and giving her a good life but he really did love her. He sighed heavily and nodded. "I'm sorry... I overreacted. Also, tell hyuna that I'll pay her to tutor kids at the school once she has her baby. She can schedule her appointments too so she can be with her daughter at the best times." Godfrey had calmed down more and made it to his house. He parked then unbuckled his seatbelt to hug boa tightly across the consel

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} Boa sigh. "I didn't say I wished I was never born. I've never wished that. I just wish I'd been born into a different family." The more she listened, the more she hurt for him as a child, as a teen, as a young man. Drugs were never the answer nor was suicide. He wasn't completely wrong though. She did push her limits to the point of breaking at times, but it was what she knew. It was how she could feel again when she was numb. "You never told me any of that before. I promise you I'm not going to kill myself. I'm not a coward after all and being a dancer you know I won't use drugs. I don't even like taking medicine. I dance and push myself to cope with being numb, but I know when to stop. You don't have to worry. I'm not going to abandon you. I've been abandoned my who life, except by you, so I couldn't do it anyway." She turned to look at him. "Besides, I have to be around for you, Hyuna and the baby. You have to promise me no more drugs though. I can't lose you too daddy." She was fighting to keep the tears out of her eyes, but she loved him more than she could ever express and it hurt to think she'd almost never had him to begin with.

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey listened to her and gripped the stirring wheel tightky out of frustration. "Fine your parents don't want you but that's not why I'm upset. You said that you wished you were never born. And that is not okay with me. Things would mot be better you hear?" Godfrey really didnt want to yell at her but kept his tone firm to get his point across. "I never told you this boa but in high school I was depressed as well. My mother passed away when I was young and my father was on bussiness trips he was nevee home and often forgot my birthday. People handle depression in many different ways. You over work yourself. I used drugs. I had a herion overdose and was put into rehab at the age of 17. I wish I was never born and that I could just die. However I always thought suicde was the cowards way out. So I kept doing higher doses and lacing my fix as well with opioids. I wouldnt ever admit to myself this back then but that was my way to kill myself without doing so. " godfrey sighed and shook his head a bit. "What helped me from relapsing after I got cleaned was you. Trust me there were many times that I wanted to go back to my old ways because it would be easier but I always stopped to think how you would take it"

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} Of course he didn't want to hear it. Hell, she didn't want to think it, but after so many subtle hints from family members, how could she not. Her mom's family hated her and showed her that every chance they got. Her brothers pretty much ignored her very existence which hurt the most, because she and Wook used to be close. And her dad made it no secret he wanted to be rid of her. "I know you love me and I love you too, but what do you think I've been told my whole life? Seeing my brothers miss their mom and dad yearning for his wife only to know she ran off, because of me. It's something you just get over." Having already put her belt on when she first got in, she pulled out her phone and told Hyuna she wouldn't be back tonight. She also ask if she was okay and if she needed or wanted anything. She may be staying with Godfrey for the night, but if her best friend needed her, she'd be there. The reply came pretty fast and she couldn't help but smile. "Alright. I told her." Then she just stared out the window, not really seeing anything.

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey's brows furrowed together at boas statement and shook his head. "Boa. I don't ever want to hear you say that again. Ever" he said sturnly and sighed heavily sitting back in his chair. This really hit him hard and he felt a whole range of emotions but over all that statement really hurt him. "I don't care if it was a joke or not. You are needed and you are very much loved by me. You are all I have and if you were never born I would have nothing you hear me?" He said and put on his seat belt. He couldn't even think of anything else she had said. "Put your seat belt on. Your stayinh at my place text hyuna you are not coming home tonight. " He said and started to drive

Laying a hand on his arm, she nodded. "I know. And I'm sorry. Maybe if I just hadn't been born things would be better." She shrugged. The idea had crossed her mind more than once, but she didn't believe in suicide, so she was stuck. "I'm already involved. It's all because of me." Rolling her eyes, Boa grinned. "I'm sure she is, but she can't hug you or talk to you or take care of you. Speaking of which, did you get the brownies I left for you in your office?" She'd taken them after school while he was in a staff meeting, so she wasn't sure. And it was ironic to her how much she and Godfrey had common, yet they weren't actually related. Laughing, she grinned at him. She loved that they usually agreed on things. "My lips are sealed." She shrugged. "But the statistic is 100% of girls. They don't even look at that. Because the majority do, they just make it all pregnant teens. Hyuna has help though and she's not going to drop out." The girl was sure of that. She wanted a better life for her daughter and Boa was going to help her every step of the way. His reaction made her look out the window, so he wouldn't see her trying not to laugh. "I don't need you to threaten anyone. You said no boys, so I need another option. Of course with a girl I can't give you grandchildren one day." She just couldn't resist teasing him. It was too much fun. "No. Not yet anyway. I told you I'm dating anyone. It's just me. Story of my life." And probably always would be. She wasn't the dating type apparently.

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey shook his head. "No ive seen him for what he is even before you told me any of this. Still dosent hurt any less. " he sighed and shook his head feeling bad for bringing it up. " Sorry I shouldn't be involving you in my adult issues. " he said and started the car so he can turn on the heater. Godfrey scofed playfully at her statment and chuckled a bit. "No one. And Heechul is only recent. I do have a cat though and she's wonderful." He said with a smile. " But I was too focused on my stidies and work to have anyone I'm close to." He said and and chuckled and nodded in agreement. "He is but you didny hear it from me." He got a little soft and just shrugged his shoulders. "I didn't really do much.... in all honesty its just not right. Yeah there is a stigma and statistics to back up that teen pregnancy results in drop out but thats not always the case." He said with a small smile before getting completely caught off gaurd by her statement about a girlfriend. "I-..... I mean I'll always love and support now I cant threaten them not to hurt you. " he said with a small laugh. He didnt like the idea of boa dating he wanted her to have her child like innocence forever even though most of it was gone by now he liked to hope. "Well.... are yoh dating a girl?"

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} Boa stared at the ground feeling like the bad guy suddenly. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have told you." Her voice was barely a whisper, but then she hadn't meant to make his friend seem like a total jerk. She understood why he didn't love her. She really did and she didn't blame him or anyone else. "You know, I'm beginning to think maybe I was born for you. I mean him and mom have the boys, but aside from Dr. Kim, who do you really have?" It made sense to her anyway, because he was all she had other than Hyuna and the baby, so why couldn't she be destined to be his daughter?" Returning his smile, she wondered if he had any idea that she and Hyuna had dated in the past. Probably not. "Well the head of directors is an idiot then. She's going to be a great mom because of you, you know that right?" Boa was so grateful he'd fought for her best friend. "Thank you." Once he unlocked the doors, she got in and put on her seat belt. "Yes I am competitive, but having a challenge is nice, especially when you've memorized your textbook." She looked out the window and sigh. One or two classes wouldn't be enough for her, but if that's all he would agree to, then she'd take it. "I will." Now she turned to look at him. "Hey dad, how would you feel about me having a girlfriend." She asked it so innocently, but she really did want to know what he would think.

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey just sighed and shook his head. "'You know he's not just your dad, he was my best friend for years. He.... helped me a lot and so part of the reason why I'm upset is because I don't know him any more." He said and sighed grabbing his car keys out of his pocket. He hummed and nodded his head remembering Hyuna somewhat. But was fully reminded by the fact that she was pregnant. The only pregnant student in the school. He turned to Boa and smiled sweetly. " Really? that's wonderful news." He said happily and nodded his head. 'I'm proud of her, you know the head of directors where hesitant to have her at the school. But I made sure of it, she's pregnant and well she isn't letting it effect her grades she also helps the school's reputation too I don't see a reason why she shouldn't be at the school. " When they approached the car he unlocked it from a far and chuckled lightly. "Oh he did, did he? Sounds about right. He's rather passionate and you're very competitive." He said and got into the car before shutting the door behind him. " Remind me to sign your form to get college courses too. But I would only suggest one or two classes so look over them carefully you still have cheer leading and dance to do and I know you like to be kept busy but you shouldn't over whelm yourself.

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} Boa just laughed when she heard him. "Don't let it. It doesn't bother me anymore. I told you, I'm the family mistake, so it's understandable they wouldn't want anyone to know about me." She was good at putting on a brave face, having cried herself out over this situation. She couldn't change it, so why waste energy worrying about it. She smiled back at him and nodded. She really did love him. "Well, they're good. You remember my friend Hyuna, right? Well we're roommates and she's having a baby girl. I'm so excited. I'm going to be her god mommy." It thrilled her to her core to know that she'd be able to help the child and her mother the way Godfrey had always helped her. She looked up at the night sky and thought for a moment. "Honestly, they're too easy and you know what happens when I get bored, but my history class was fun. Mr. Lee actually gave me a reason to argue."

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey felt heated that his childhood friend would do something as a 'hush fund' even if thats not what he called it personally It's what it was. "That..... makes me angry" He said under his breath and pulled away. "Okay... let's get that smoothie." he said and smiled slightly before kissing her forehead. " So... tell me. How are your friends at school? I know you said no boys. Which i'm grateful for, most of the boys your age are not worthy of you anyway. " He said with a light chuckle and walked with her out of the building and leading her to the car. "How are your classes? You're getting good grades but how do you like them?"

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} Boa smiled. It wasn't often she could show him affection, because at school they didn't know each other, unless she was in trouble. That very rarely happened, so she didn't really get to see him. Hearing his concerns, she sigh. "I know you do, but that has never mattered to me. I have what I like to call a Hush fund. I get it all when I graduate, but I have to move out the same day, so money's not a problem." Until she ran out, but she didn't even care. She'd decided she'd always land on her feet. If that meant taking odd jobs then so be it. Right now she'd use that money for her best friend and her god daughter. She didn't need it after all. "Let's go home. I need a smoothie." She grinned up at him, but her energy was running low and she had stuff to do before she could sleep.

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey just nodded his head and kissed the top of boa's head. No one really was around to see the moment but he wouldn't have cared anyway. He sighed softly and gently rocked them. " I just want to make sure you'll be taken care of. I have the funds to support you and I also can get you into a good university and give you a good life. You deserve that, I also want to make sure you get inheritance and insurance benefits. Which I'm sure your father hasn't even thought of."

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} Boa followed him out and nodded although she continued to frown. Even if they were both okay with it, she didn't like being a bother. "I'll stay in my room if he comes over." She had zero problem with that. After all, she had a paper she could write or books to read. Shrugging, she knew always didn't always mean forever. At least not in her world. "I guess, but I'm just so used to relying on myself." She'd had no choice for a long time. Sure he was there to help, but he had his own life and she wasn't his. That made her feel better though and she closed her eyes, wanting to remember this moment forever. "Really? Oh I'm sure he'll be only too happy to let you. I told you. I'm the mistake. I wasn't supposed to happen and he blames me for mom leaving. He will be happy to be rid of me for good." She didn't mention that he'd told her the day she graduated she had to move out.

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey stood up and helped boa out the theater. " It's okay. Don't worry about that." He said and walked out of the theater. " It's going to happen. I don't care how old you are.... I'll always be like this. And hey, you do but you always need someone to rely on every now and then. " Godfrey was a bit taken aback by her words but grins and holds her close. "I love you too Boa... " He said and rested his chin onto her head." I want to legally adopt you" he whispered. " i'm going to talk to your father and convince him It'll be okay to give me guardianship."

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} "But...I don't want to get in the way if Dr. Kim comes over." As usual, Boa was more worried about his happiness than her own well being. Plus, she hated to leave Hyuna alone. Her eyes widened and she smiled at him. It was the first time he'd called her his daughter. "I know, but you shouldn't have to. I'm almost grown and should be able to take care of myself." She stood, but couldn't contain herself. Wrapping her arms around his waist, she looked up at him. "I love you daddy." It's something she'd wanted to say for so long, but had never felt it was appropriate to say. Now she didn't care. Hopefully he wouldn't change his mind though.

@Kwon Bo-ah "We don't have to go to school. You can come to my place it's the weekend anyway." Godfrey said and sighed not letting his gaze come off of that girl. "Boa..... Your my daughter and I'm your dad. It's my job to go out of my way for you and worry for you. " He said and put his wallet in his pocket as well as his phone. "Come on lets go." he said softly then gently tugged on her arm to stand up.

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} While he was always kind to her, tonight she just couldn't take it. "No. I'm not ready to go back to school." She knew if Hyuna saw she'd been crying, she would be upset and that wouldn't be good for the baby. Maybe she did need to see the school shrink after all. "I don't want you to have to go through any extra trouble for me and you've already paid for the movie. It's fine. Really." She returned his smile and patted his arm. He was the best dad she could ask for, but she didn't want to lose him, so she needed to get her emotions in check.

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey frowned and and placed his hand on Boa's arm. "Hey... It's okay. We can still go. It's okay I just wanted to spend time with you, you needed a break. " he said softly careful not to disturb the movie although there was practically no one in the theater. "I can go make a healthy smoothie for you if you'd like.' he said offering a small smile.

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} Boa liked the movie, but it was triggering thoughts she'd had previously and she didn't want or need those thoughts anymore than she did her family. She wiped her eyes quickly and shook her head. "It's not too scary. I'm fine. That's not why." She really didn't want to talk about it, but she had a feeling he was going to push. Lately, ever since getting a less than stellar grade in Mandarin, she'd been more emotional than normal. Even her dancing was off. It was effecting every area of her life at this point and right now she just wanted her pillow. She could hug it or cry or scream into it with no judgment. It's something she hadn't done in a long time.

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey snickered and nodded his head. " Yeah.... that's true." he whispered and looked over at the screen again. He scrunched his nose up at the horrific sceen. It wasn't too graphic but it was unsettling to say the least. He glanced over at boa to see if she was okay only to panic seeing tears in her eyes, it was easy to see with the lights of the projector. "Are... you crying?" he asked then shifted to look more at her. " Is it too scary? I can take you home if you'd like or we can see another movie."

@Godfrey Gao {Headmaster} Smacking his hand away, she rolled her eyes. "I'm not a kid. And I know I'm stubborn. Have you met my father?" It was said cynically since she didn't like being anything like her real dad. As she watched the movie, she smiled to herself. They were all the same. So predictable. So easy to read what would happen next. It's why she loved them. She could shut her mind off for a while and not have to think. That was a real rarity for her. As the girl was killed, she bit her lip and felt tears forming in her eyes. She blinked them away quickly before Godfrey would notice.

@Kwon Bo-ah Godfrey sighed again and reached his hand up and ruffled Boa's hair playfully. "You're a stubborn kid you know that?' He said with a light chuckle and leaned back into his seat. He looked back at the screen smiling a bit and glanced over to see some strands of boa's hair sticking up. He snickered to himself then tried to lay them down flat again all while there was a girl getting murdered in the background of the movie
