@Dong Sicheng {Junior} /laughs when you say it's hard/
Oh c'mon. It's one pirouette.
/shrugs/
I could have done more. Just try it.
/tilts my head/
After all, I have to see what I'm working with.
@Dong Sicheng {Junior} /shakes my head with a frown/
You shouldn't have to act.
/stretches my arms and neck out/
I'll go easy on you.
/nods/
Okay. First combo.
/does a plie and a pirouette/
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} /grins/
Always do, gotta keep up the act!
/puts on my slippers after taking off my shoes/
Okay?
/laughs softly when you wink/
I got it.
/loosens up slightly to watch you/
@Dong Sicheng {Junior} /nodding, the girl grinned secretively/
Do you have your ballet slippers with you?
/sitting down, she changes from her point shoes to her slippers/
This was something my old teacher used to do with us in class to get us to loosen up.
/stands up/
I have to do a combo and then you have to try to do it. Then you do one and I have to follow.
We keep switching until one of us mess up. I'll even buy you lunch if you do well.
/grins and winks/
@Dong Sicheng {Junior} /rolls my eyes/
Forget it. I give up. And I so because it's true.
/frowns/
Do you really have short term memory loss?
/crosses my arms/
Only if you make out boring.
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} /nods seriously although my eyes glint with mischief/ Yup, you keep saying that. /smiles/ uhhh Short term memory loss? /a small grin teases my lips/ Because ballet is boring! (I think it changed overall!)
@Dong Sicheng {Junior} /laughs/ Its really not that hard. I promise. /frown/ And you don't remember anything? / shakes my head/ Why is it unfortunate? [Sorry about the weird format. Rpr is being weird one my phone now.]
@Raven Sophia Devereaux {Teacher} Last class of the day and she could finally take a break. Maybe she could finish her paper and send it to her professor to look over. Regardless, she was excited about any time that she got to dance, so this class was one of them. As she grabbed her dance bag and and her jacket, she decided to talk to her teacher. While there was more than one dance teacher, Raven was the one she knew from competitions and she knew she'd been a professional dancer, so she thought maybe she could help her. After all, she didn't eat, sleep and breathe dance to not be the best. The trophies and cash she'd won in competitions meant nothing to her. All she wanted was to hear she was the best. Normally winning wasn't important, but dance and cheer were the two things she needed to win. "Ms. Raven, may I speak with you?" Asking for help was something she normally avoided, but with nationals in less than a month, she knew she needed to do something.
@Cheng Xiao {Sophomore} "You're welcome." Smiling, Boa got back up. Normally she'd have on her cargo pants, but leggings were what she was wearing for her competition performance, why not wear them for class too. After all, there was hip hop in her dance for the competition. She had a few weeks until then, but she was super excited about it.
Smiling in return, Boa waved back. "Thanks. I hope I can do it again. I enjoyed it." She was always willing to help and if it was with dance then that was even better.
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} “Ah, thank you,” Xiao grinned. She certainly would remember Boa’s words. Confidence indeed was the key to dancing. You could be making mistakes left and right, but if you have the confidence to smile and keep on dancing despite your mistakes, the typical audience wouldn’t even care that much.
Xiao started walking backwards, waving. “I hope your class will be fun then,” she said with a goodbye. “I’m glad you could help us!”
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} /grins/
I'm always right... Well not when it comes to ballet though...
/pulls out my phone to check/
last week?
/groans/
Yes, unfortunately.
@Dong Sicheng {Junior} /admits that you're right about that/
Well that is true, but only because we show emotion through our movements.
/laughs/
When was you class?
/nods/
But you've taken ballet before, right?
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} /laughs slightly/
Well certain feelings. Dancers wear a mask, that you can't penetrate.
Right?
/tilts my head/
Wellll, it's called having a bad memory.
/nods/
yeah we only stretched. Nothing really on poses or moves.
@Dong Sicheng {Junior} /shrugs/
I don't disagree with you there.
No one wants to feel pain, but feelings are also what makes a great dancer.
/shakes my head/
How did you forget?
/nods/
So you haven't started any of the actual positions or moves?
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} /blinks shocked/
there's a lot of problems with feeling.
Emotions and crazy stuff like that.
/laughs it off/
Well in class? Oh crap, I forgot..
/pauses briefly to think/
We did stretches last class?
@Cheng Xiao {Sophomore} Boa could only smile. "You certainly have the talent. Just remember what I told you today." She wasn't certified to teach but it typically took 10 years to become an expert and she had been dancing for 14 almost 15. She truly believed the young woman could do anything she put her mind to.
"Oh no. I have hip hop in a few minutes." Since it was senior seminar though, that just meant she could work on her dance for the competition. "I'm not sure yet, but I hope so." This had been a good experience and she had enjoyed it immensely.
@Kwon Bo-ah {Senior} Xiao thought for a moment, before breaking out into a grin. “I want to be a professional dancer, or at least pursue a job that has something to do with dancing, like being an idol.” It was her dream ever since she was young child taking her first ballet class. She loved performing in front of others; she loved spreading appreciation of the art she valued the most.
“Will you be helping the next class, hip-hop, too?” she curiously questioned, gesturing at Boa’s shoes. That dancer sure is something, she thought. So much talent and effort put into all of the genres of dance. “I look forward to seeing you help our class again, whenever that time may be.”
@Cheng Xiao {Sophomore} If Godfrey saw her during this class, he'd tell her she should be a teacher and she wondered if that was indeed what she should do. Then again, a part of her wanted to perform. She'd always loved being on stage and dancing her heart out.
This opportunity had actually been a dream come true. Dance was the one thing in her life that never failed her, so helping others learn it was truly a blessing.
As she took off her point shoes and changed into her high tops for hip hop, she looked up at the person talking to her. Smiling at the girl, she shook her head. "You didn't need much help. Just confidence. Tell me, what do you want to do with your life?" If it was anything involving dance, she believed the girl would excel at it if she'd only trust that she could indeed do it. Failing wasn't messing up a move. Failing was giving up in her opinion.
Hi, I saw on the faceclaim list that Park Jimin is being used, but I didn't see him in the masterlist or any of the character profiles. If he's available, can I please ask to A&R him? Thank you!
I am really sorry but I have to go. Life has gotten really busy and I just won't be around enough and its not fair to leave you all hanging.
Thanks for the wonderful time
