ZEUS (Hangul: 제우스) is a South Korean boy group created by Sapphire Entertainment. The group consists of  five members DK, Jay, Jafar, -- and --. In 2008, it was revealed that the group's official fanclub name would be 'Lightning" with "Lightning Yellow' as the official color. 

Career

2002-2005: GENUINE debut & disbandment, ZEUS debut

In 2001, James and Aaron Kwon, co-CEOs of Sapphire Entertainment announced that they were working on their first groups to debut, the first of which would be a coed group. The trainees had been hand picked by the CEOs and their wives personally. DK and Jay were among the first trainees that joined Sapphire. It was later revealed that DK was James' oldest and only son and an underground rapper under the name DannyK. They were joined by four female trainees who would later go on to debut as HERA. The coed group debuted on March 20th, 2002 with the single 'Too Late'. After releasing two more singles before disbanding in 2003. GENUINE member known as 'G' left the company before the male members redebuted as ZEUS on April 16th, 2005.

2006-2009: Japanese debut, DK's solo debut, Collab with HERA

On February 16, 2007, ZEUS had their Japanese debut with the song 'GaraGaraGO' after which they also held their very first solo concert. In 2008, DK made his solo debut with the song 'Fly Boy'. In March of 2009, ZEUS collaborated with labelmate HERA for the single 'Lollipop'. 'Lollipop 2' would be included in ZEUS' next album.

2010-2014: Fantastic Baby, Jay solo, DxJ subunit & SapphireFam Tour

The beginning of 2010 started with a comeback from DK as well as a solo debut from Jay with the song 'When I Can't Sing'. The response to 'Fantastic Baby' was fairly well when it was first released, however, it wasn't until almost six months after the song was released did the song go viral and gain them global fame. In 2014, members DK and Jay would debut as the first subunit of the group with their single 'Good Boy' performing the song for the first time during the SapphireFam company tour.

2015-2016: Solo projects, group hiatus and military service.

2015 was a year of solo work for the group. Each member released solo songs and some focused on acting projects. There was talk of a comeback but it was pushed back indefinitely until January 2016 when it was announced that ZEUS would be making a comeback in June. However this comeback was pushed back indefinitely as it was revealed that Jay had quietly enlisted into the military shortly after ending promotions for Good Boy at the end of 2014. Members DK and Jafar would soon follow mid 2015 whille members -- and -- would enlist in 2016.

2017-present: Unit projects

With members Jay, DK and Jafar having returned from their service, the three would continue to do unit and solo projects. In 2018, it was revealed that member -- would be focusing on his acting career upon his return from his service. There were rumors of a comeback but nothing has been confirmed.
