// Night. She's on her back, just at the very edge of the lake's shore, one hand dipped in the water and the other slowly drawing circles on her stomach. The sky's endless amount of stars are twinkling, and the moon is ever so brightly shining. A very faint breeze rustles the trees and kisses her skin, gently blows her bang about her forehead. And normally, this would relax her, make her feel at peace again, but she just wasn't feeling it tonight. Too much on her mind to focus on the ethereal beauty of the planet. She heaves a small sigh and lets her eyelids flutter shut. Just one moment. One last moment to try and relax before she goes on pretending through life;
One more moment...
// She nearly whispers, her lips hardly parting. Times like this she wishes she could spend with a loved one. So much of her time and energy is used to practically alienate them, she'd be surprised if she still had anyone to call a loved one. But it would be nice to just have someone there with her, someone to hold her hand, talk about how peaceful this night is. Someone to swim with and complain to about how ing cold it is when they get wet. It hadn't really dawned on her how lonely she's become over the past century or so. And now that it's on her mind it really weighs down on her otherwise average thoughts, shrouds them in a cloud of what ifs and i wonders, a cloud of sadness that really tugs at her heartstrings... It takes her another minute of silence before she sighs again, slowly rising off the ground and staring at the surface of the water. Carefully and patiently, she begins to ease her way out of her shirt, dropping it beside her feet. Then, she takes off her shoes, shimmies out of her shorts and leaves the item at her other side. Her fingers meticulously peel away her bra straps and unlatch the hooks. And, finally, she slides out of her underwear, tossing it atop her other articles of clothing. Her eyes focus once again on the surface of the water;
One more moment.
// One foot after another, she takes small steps into the water, gradually lowering herself into the slightly chilly lake and walking far enough to where she's completely submerged underwater. She then takes a seat on the lake's bed, drawing her legs to her chest and fluttering her eyes shut once more. She takes one long, shallow breath inward, exhales it through her nose, a burst of bubbles leaving her nostrils and floating above her head... Just one more moment.
