@Kim Hyun-Joong Piercing purple eyes glowed as they scan each of text on the pages of a old leather-bound book, plush lips opening and closing as the young dark-skinned male spoke under his breath, holding the book in one hand while holding out his other hand, a purple glow surrounding it as a magic circle lazily spun beneath his heeled boots, his cape and long chained earrings swaying in breeze that seemed to come from the circle itself. He tried to focus, to keep his mind on the task at hand, the one of him fixing the protection runes around his home but there was something in the back of his head, telling him something bad was going to happen. He just didn't know what.
@Adrian Patterson He was so stressed, trying to figure out how to help everyone, including his own brother. He had no time for fun lately and it had been nearly two months since he'd seen his best friend. He was going crazy in the palace, so now that he had a free second, he had decided to go for a run. He was in his wolf form and was running through the forest, lost in thought. Things had to get better soon and to make it worse, he felt like something was about to happen. Something bad, but he thought maybe he was being paranoid and he tried to brush it off.
@Kim Hyun-Joong “I have no idea,” Hyungseok admitted and shrugged. Some people he had met were pretty into butts and s and what not but he could not tell why. He did not mind, though, he also did not care to figure it out. “Well, cut their hands off,” he said and shrugged again. “Or at least ask your wizard to make them think their hands fell off. Or ask me. I’d love to!” He grinned brightly at the other. He loved causing chaos but Hyun-Joong had not minded it until now.
Almost shyly he over his lips and grinned at the other when he heard the other’s words. “I’d love to kiss you. And do more, if you’d like to,” he said and winked at him. He had never really thought about that but he kind of felt excitement rising inside him while he imagined them kissing and maybe even more. It was a good feeling. Something he would like to keep and act upon from time to time. No matter how long this would last, who knew after all? As long as they stayed friends.
“With me by your side,” he explained and looked at him. “It will not be easy but we will find a way.” He had always thought of maybe Jinah meeting Hyun-Joong one day but with all the pain and sadness that had been hurting Jinah recently, he had decided to give it some time first. Maybe sooner or later. “I know a pretty cool place in the neutral territory. I will show you this weekend!” He grinned at his friend. “Though we might have to walk quite some.” Or he could get them some horses. Though he was not sure how far they could take them.
“Napping together sounds great,” he then added and nodded. He was looking forward to it as he had not been sleeping well for a while, the worry coursing through his system. “I will kidnap you to a great place.” He winked and shortly pecked Hyun-Joong’s lips. He liked that, he liked being close to the other and the prince’s hand on his thigh felt good. They had touched each other before, as people did as friends, but this touch was so much more than he had ever felt.
Hyungseok huffed slightly and stretched a bit, getting a bit closer to Hyun-Joong. The other was warm and it felt nice, after all it was getting pretty chilly outside. He did not mind though, if he wanted he could use some magic – light a fire, maybe, though it might not be the smartest idea, after all they were in a forest. And a forest fire was something he did not want to cause. “We’d have some nice time together and just enjoy ourselves. Like we do now, right?” He looked at Hyun-Joong and smiled. He’d have to tell Jinah he would be gone for the weekend but it was not unnatural for him to travel from time to time. So she would surely be okay with it.
@Park Hyungseok As far as the prince was concerned, Hyungseok was family. No he couldn't have him over for family dinners, but it didn't mean he didn't care about and love him like family. It actually made him very happy to know his friend liked his . He didn't however like the girls in the kingdom looking at it or trying to touch it. He looked thoughtful for a moment. "Okay. That makes sense, but why are women so fascinated with butts. I mean it's annoying how often I walk through the village and some girl tries to touch mine." He could have their hands cut off, but he wasn't that type of person. Hearing the wizard say he'd never stop him made him feel like he could fly. Truth be told, he'd thought about kissing him many times when he was alone at night. He'd also wondered how it would feel to do more than that, but he always pushed the ideas aside, thinking the other wouldn't like it. He didn't want to lose his friend. When the man kissed him again though, he nearly growled. How was it possible for something so innocent to feel so good. He just looked at his friend for a few moments as he tried to straighten out all of the feelings coursing through him. "Nor did I, but I think I could get used to this. Maybe more." He winked.
Hyun Joong nodded. "Yea. I want to fix it too, but at this point, I have no idea how I'm going to do that." Yes he had plenty of power as acting king, but it would require the cooperation of Jinah too and he didn't see that happening. From all he'd heard, she was just as stubborn as him. He would have to find a way to restore peace though. Otherwise, he might kill someone himself. He nodded as the other explained. "Okay. Sounds good to me then." Maybe they could even share more intimate moments while they were alone together. Who knew what would happen. It would certainly be interesting. "I've noticed." He chuckled and grinned. He didn't mind it either. In fact, he could stretch out and think while Hyungseok slept on him. That would be nice. "If you say so." He grinned.
Hyun Joong rarely let anything scare him and death certainly wasn't something he'd put in the column of fear. In fact, he had one fear. Letting his people down. Okay two. The other was disappointing his parents. His father had been such a good king. He was worried he wouldn't live up to his father. "That would be great. Somewhere we can be us and nap or have fun whenever, however we want." His tone was somewhat suggestive, but he didn't know what the other would want with or from him. Although he wasn't allowed to rule if he mated to a man, he'd give it all up for Hyungseok. But only for him.
@Kim Hyun-Joong It surprised Hyungseok, that Hyun-Joong was so easily giving him permission to touch his and look at it whenever he wanted and it somehow only showed Hyungseok how close they were one more time. He knew they were close, yes, but it always surprised him how the prince exactly felt the same like he did. “Well, as far as I know butts are good for between men and I heard s are extremely sensitive to touches and might feel good if played with or on.” He rubbed his neck, not ashamed at all but a little confused how the hell this was supposed to make someone good. “I’d never stop you,” he said and smiled at the other. He could probably kill him and Hyungseok would gladly accept it. As long as it was Hyun-Joong, he was ready for everything. But prepared was something he was not. Not when the other’s lips suddenly touched his and he looked surprised. Surprised about the beautiful feeling that went through his body, foreign and strange but so very nice to feel. And surprised that Hyun-Joong was just now giving him his first kiss and taking the wizard’s. He blinked and looked at the other for a very long moment before he leaned over and kissed him again. He wanted this to last longer than just a few seconds. And for a very long moment he had the urge to give Hyun-Joong so many more kisses. He almost looked shyly at him, when their lips separated again and smiled, cheeks a bit red. “I did not expect it to actually feel so nice,” he said, hoping Hyun-Joong had felt the same beautiful feeling.
“I’d always run away together with you,” the wizard said gently and looked at his friend. “Though I rather fix this place to make sure we do not have to run away. You know?” That would be so much more beautiful. A place where they could live in harmony. Yes, he loved chaos, but he was fine with pranks and scaring people and as long as his home could have the same organized mess he had he was fine. Fine with peace. “I know, I can let other people see me as someone else but make sure you see me in my true form. It’s not that difficult,” he explained and smiled at the other, humming. It sounded like a great adventure. “I love napping around you. It feels good.” Even a few minutes already made him feel refreshed. “You are very comfortable, do not worry.” He chuckled slightly.
A smile was seen on Hyungseok’s lips and he nodded. He knew he was right, but sometimes even if he was right people did not listen to him. After all he looked pretty inexperienced and soft, many people did not believe in the knowledge he had built in all the years. Even as a child already. But he accepted it. Idiots were found way too often. “I can make sure to keep us away from the kingdom, if you’d prefer that?” he offered and nodded. He knew so many beautiful places and he would love to go there with the other.
@Park Hyungseok Laughing, he looked at his friend. "Feel free to look at it or touch it anytime you'd like." He just shook his head with amusement. "Care to share? Because the only things I can think of involve the toilet or a baby eating." He shrugged. Of course he knew about feeding. He had younger siblings after all and he was friends with some of the elderly women in the kingdom who had nursing daughters. "If my mom and my sister don't count then no I have never kissed anyone." As Hyungseok got closer to his face, he didn't move away. In fact, he thought about pressing his lips to the other's. "You know, you're close enough for me to kiss you right now. Would you stop me?" He was serious, but he could always say he was teasing.
"Very." His eyes twinkled with delight as he nodded. "They look very soft, so yes. I like your lips." One thing Hyun had learned over the years was that while someone may look weak and fragile, it didn't mean they were. After he'd brought his dad's body back to the kingdom, he'd seemed weak, but he'd been broken. The first chance he got though, he ended up fighting. Being underestimated, he won easily, but Hyungseok didn't appear weak to him. Just compact.
As he listened, he was grateful to have such a skilled and talented friend. The younger never let him down and for him that was very rare. Almost everyone in his life had let him down at some point, but not the wizard. "We could always run away together." He winked teasing him. "But seriously, you don't have to disguise me if it expends that much energy. If it's easier to do yourself then do that. I wouldn't mind." He'd felt calmer than he remembered ever feeling when his friend had slept in his lap. He'd d his hair and watched him. He looked so peaceful and calm. The prince was sure he'd never slept in such a way. His mind was plagued with endless thoughts, like an army marching through his head at all times. "And it you need to nap, feel free to use me as your pillow again. Although I'm not sure how soft I am." He grinned.
Hyun Joong laughed and shook his head gleefully. "Oh I've noticed. It's hard not too." He had been honest. He didn't like butts or understand others' fascination with them. He did however, like and appreciate Hyungseok's . Nodding, he agreed. "Great. You're right. I do need a break and now is the perfect time." He could relax and rejuvenate even if it was useless when he came back. He knew the moment he stepped back into the palace, he would be saddled with the same stress and more. "No. Nothing specific. What about you? Where are you thinking? And is it away from the two kingdoms?" He wanted to be far far away from here. He knew nothing of the wizards dealings with death or how close he himself was to it. Truthfully, he probably wouldn't have cared even if he had known. He was just a lost little boy playing grown up when he just wanted someone to hold him and make everything better. That wasn't going to happen though and he knew it. "I'll be fine. Besides, if I leave you, who will take care of you? Or do this?" Without warning or even really thinking about it, he cupped the younger man's cheeks and pressed their lips together. When he let go, he looked out at the forest. He'd just given his first kiss to his best friend and had taken his in return. He just hoped the wizard wouldn't be mad or hate him, but he didn't want anyone else to have his first.
@Kim Hyun-Joong “Sure I do,” Hyungseok chuckled amused and shook his head a bit. He did not mind butts. Hyun-Joong’s was soft and round and as far as he knew those butts were the best. Though he could not really judge about that. “Well, I heard way too many things you can do with them,” he added and then smiled amused. Though he somehow could not imagine how this would be enjoyable, even though his imagination was great. “Nope, mother and sister do not count,” he then said and looked at Hyun-Joong. “Have you kissed someone before?” he then asked curiously and leaned a bit closer so he could see the other’s reaction. Also he just liked being close to the other. It felt like home.
“Cute, huh?” Hyungseok laughed amused. “I did not know you liked my lips.” He winked at the other though it was one of the few compliments he got to his exterior. People either told him how weak and useless he looked – just to get beaten up – or were too scared to get close to him. Though he did not mind the latter.
“Do not worry. I will make sure no one recognizes you,” Hyungseok reassured Hyun-Joong and for a second he wondered how it was to touch the other’s face – to show him he could turn him too, but then again Hyun-Joong would not be able to see it so it was just a waste of his energy. But he really wanted to touch him. “I can change you, yes. At least make people think who they are seeing is someone else.” He would make sure no one would recognize the other. “I can’t keep a different form for very long,” he admitted though he knew the other would not bother. “Also keeping my magic up during sleep is rather exhausting and I’ve napped on your lap before. So you know.” He winked at the other again. He usually had a hard time napping or sleeping around people. But with Hyun-Joong and Jinah it somehow was easy, soothing even and calming. He was so very grateful.
This time the prince caught him by surprise and Hyungseok blushed a tiny bit, something that rarely happened. He huffed and rubbed his neck. “No, it’s always been like this, you just never noticed.” He stuck out his tongue and then laughed. “This weekend? Sounds very good,” he hummed and he was getting excited. He wanted to go on some nice adventure with his friend, just the two of them without any worries. “I know a few nice places but is there anything you’d like to go? Anything you’d like to see?” He then his lips. It was a lie that Hyun-Joong did not need protection. No matter how hard the wizard had tried, he had already failed the other with being unable to safe the king of the Wolves. And he had already bargained with death one too many times, a secret he was keeping from Hyun-Joong. He would not have approved. “I rather have you alive and with me than wounded somewhere I might not be able to reach you in time.” The thought scared him.
@Park Hyungseok Hyun Joong laughed when his poked his . "See, I knew you liked my ." He grinned, but then turned serious. "I don't either. I mean, they all pretty much look the same and what do you even do with them? Nothing." He just couldn't understand it. It was nice to know he wasn't the only one who thought this way. His friend's confession shocked him. "Never?" He couldn't say anything at first. "Do my mom and sister count?" He wasn't sure, but other than them, he'd never kissed anyone. Hell, he'd never held hands with anyone either. No one knew that of course since he always had a took the same girl to kingdom functions, but they had an understanding. Besides, she was into girls.
He knew he thought girls were attractive, but he found some guys to be just as attractive. He'd told his mother once and she said whatever he wanted to do was fine, but if he took the throne, he'd have to marry a woman. Just another reason he didn't want the throne. "Me? Cute. Pshaw. You're the cute one. Look at those cheeks and those lips." He'd never said anything like that before, but he felt closer to Hyungseok every day.
He nodded. "She may not, but many in your kingdom do. I used to be best friends with the deceased prince after all." It was one reason he feared making friends at this point. He always feared losing them. As the wizard changed right in front of him, he laugh. "Now that is a neat trick. Can you change me too?" He loved his family, but some days it would be nice to not be himself. "I like you best the way you look now, but wait. How do I know this is your true form?" He was teasing of course, but he didn't really care about beauty and his knights could annoy him to no end."
He rolled his eyes. "But I need my hands. How else will I do this?" He then poked the wizard's nose, stomach and . "Oh look who else has been working out." He chuckled, but his hand landed on the other's thigh. It didn't seem weird to him. On the contrary, it felt natural. He couldn't argue. "I guess I do. What about this weekend? I can get my brother to help mom and our little sister in my absence. He and his boyfriend will be home." At first he'd been upset that his mom demand he marry a woman even if he didn't love her yet she welcomed her younger son who had already mated to another male. How was that fair. He'd told her then he wouldn't ascend the throne unless he could marry whomever he chose, male or female. She'd been understanding, but had stuck to what she said, so at this point the throne was his sisters. "I don't need protection. Whether I live or die, it doesn't matter. This whole stupid feud will continue. But you know yourself, I've survived death before." It was Hyungseok who had healed him after he'd been hurt in battle and had collapsed near the wizard's home while trying to get his father back home. "Anyway, where should we go for the week and what do you want to do?" He'd made up his mind. He wanted to getaway with his friend.
@Kim Hyun-Joong “Well, maybe not them,” Hyungseok laughed and shook his head amused. He then leaned forward and boked Hyun-Joong’s cheek, chuckling. “Honestly? I have no idea why people are so much into butts or s.” He had never really talked to anyone about this, he knew people found it so important and he usually did not feel comfortable enough around people to even mention it. Hyun-Joong was one of the few exceptions. “Then again I never kissed anyone.” Aside from his cat and his ferret. But that was just a platonic kiss on their head so that did not count, probably. “Did you?” Well, that was quite a topic change from duties to butts to kisses. But they had always been really good with jumping through topics.
“Mh, okay, that makes sense,” he said and nodded then. Sometimes he wondered if Hyun-Joong made all the way from the kingdom’s castle by foot but then again he used some shortcuts too and it did not take him long to get here. “Orphans? Good old prince. You are a real cutie.” He chuckled again. Hyun-Joong had always been quite soft but it was a good thing. Hyungseok liked that.
“I do not think Jinah knows your face,” Hyungseok admitted and then smiled. “Also, I can be disguised as whatever you want me to be. A beautiful young woman by your side?” he offered and there was a short change of smell and then Hyungseok didn’t look like him anymore but like a young pretty woman, “or rather a knight from your kingdom?” He changed into a guard of Hyun-Joong’s castle he had seen once or twice. The scent was still there but this time it smelled less like mint but more like earth. “Or maybe an elderly lady?” And therefore he changed to a lady. “Whatever you want.” And then he turned back. “I can keep this illusion for quite a while. I can even turn my body into theirs but only limited time.” So if someone touched him, that would not be a problem. “So no worries.”
Hyun-Joong knew him to very well. But luckily that was something good as he trusted that man with his life – if it wasn’t this way he might have to maybe kill him. Or at least make him forget whatever important he knew. “No one says it will kill anyone. Maybe just take your hand or so.” He chuckled gently but the other was right. “Then you need a good break and some very nice sleep.” He probably would offer some stronger magic to take care of the prince and his duties but he feared the wizard of the Wolves would feel and notice it. When his friend turned to him he smiled gently. “I told you, I will not die. Who will protect you and Jinah once I am gone, huh? Can’t let that happen.” He shook his head. Though he had found some magic that would work beyond his death – but the older did not need to know that.
@Park Hyungseok "Someone like who? If you mean those harpies in the kingdom who love that I have the title of prince, no thank you." He didn't see what was so fascinating about butts or s either, but he loved to tease his friend. The very idea of one of the girls in his kingdom kissing his or touching it in any other way made him gag. Actually, the thought of them being near him or touching him in ANY way made him feel sick. He sighed as shook his head. "Nope. I don't want anyone near my , but thanks for the concern." He grinned. Hyun Joong had never so much as dated. When he'd left the kingdom to find himself, he'd had a crush or two, but never acted on them. He didn't see a need. After all, he didn't want to pull some innocent girl into his crazy life. It was simply easier to be alone.
Hyun Joong laughed at that image. "Which is why I would carry it in my human form. I only go wolf if I'm hunting or want to run. Sometimes I'll do it when I play with the orphans in the kingdom too. They like to ride on my back or to wrestle." He enjoyed it though. Even the girls were fun to play with. They were the ones who enjoyed riding on his back the most. It made him happy to hear their little giggles. If he weren't so much older, he'd wait and marry one of them. Hell, he still might.
The wizard in his kingdom was good at his job, but the prince didn't know him that well. He never felt a need to visit him or seek him out. Instead, he'd just contact his friend when he needed something or advice. He trusted Hyungseok after all and there were few people he'd say that about outside of his family. "What would be the point? It'll just come right back after all." At the word adventure, he perked up a bit. "That could be fun, but what if people from one of the kingdoms sees us together? Wouldn't you be punished?" His mom would give him an earful, but ultimately she trusted his judgement and knew he was harder about this whole feud than she was.
Rolling his eyes, the prince scoffed. "As if you'd even let me. Besides, who would take care of mom?" He didn't trust his siblings to do it. They were still young and had never really known true responsibility. While he'd been helping their hyeong, they were pups playing and getting into trouble. Now he frowned. Because he was doing it? Of course that had occurred to him, but what could he do? "It's crossed my mind, but not much is different now than before hyeong or dad died. So, I don't know how I could be causing it." He shrugged. Then, he turned his hard, cold stare on his friend. It was the same one that terrified so many in his kingdom. "You better not or I will find a way to bring you back from the dead and kill you myself." He was joking, but that's just how much the wizard meant to him.
@Kim Hyun-Joong “You need someone to appreciate your then!” Hyungseok nodded, not really sure what people found so good about butts. They were nice, sure, but maybe he just really did not understand it the way he did not understand why people found s so beautiful. It did not matter to him at all. “Kiss it and… whatever people do with it.” He chuckled amused. No, he had never really gotten physical with anyone – he did not mind but he was never good with making the first step so he rather held back and stayed alone. Did not bother him that much, if he was honest.
“Well, but a wolf running through the woods with a punching bag? You sure this will not look weird?” he laughed amused and slightly nudged Hyun-Joong. He felt comfortable with his friend. He was one of the few people he really trusted and would do anything for. If he was honest, he had even tried to bring creatures back to live. Humans. But it was hard and painful and even a single bird he had revived had cost him so much energy, he doubted that he could ever bring back his friend’s father or brother. And it gnawed on him but it was all he could do for now.
“Most of the times at least,” Hyungseok sulked for a moment but then chuckled. “It’s okay. It is tricky but who will solve it, if not me, right?” He winked at the other. Of course he knew Hyun-Joong had a wizard in his kingdom too, but he still doubted that person was better than him. “I could massage you or take the tension from you,” he offered. “Or what about a good old adventure? You could take a few days for yourself and we could be normal people in the neutral place while wandering around!” It would be interesting and maybe also fun for the prince.
A chuckle left his lips. “Well, you could try and figure it out for me,” he joked. He would never let the older do this. He was too precious and he treasured him too much for such things. He could never let him get hurt. Even if there was the slightest possibility, Hyungseok would make sure he was safe and sound. “Did it ever occur to you that maybe you aren’t getting enough sleep because you are doing it?” He shook his head gently but he knew it was good for being open with Hyun-Joong. He then showed him a gentle smile. “You will not lose me,” he promised gently. “I eat and I sleep. If my body needs it, it will tell me,” he said and looked at Hyun-Joong. “No worries. I am tougher than I look.” He knew that people often thought he was delicate and fragile – but once he had broken their nose or their wrist, they at least stopped annoying him with this .
@Park Hyungseok Hyun Joong shook his . "Well I assure you, if I'm ever lazy with my workouts, that will be the last body part I get lazy with." He childishly stuck his tongue out at his friend. Other than the wizard, he didn't have any friends. He had servants and admirers, but the former were afraid of him and the latter liked that he was a prince. No thank you. He didn't need more fakeness in his life. Hyungseok had seen through his bull and understood, he wasn't really a horrible or scary person. He was just a kid who missed his dad, but refused to fully grieve because he wanted to take care of his mom. After all, she'd lost her husband and her eldest son. True she had other children, but as the oldest now, he felt it his responsibility to take care of what his father and hyeong would have, so he stepped into those shoes, no matter how exhausting. "What do you mean? I'll just walk into the castle with it. I can tell mom an admirer gave it to me or that I bought it in the village. The store owner has a thing for me apparently. It's why I don't go in there unless I absolutely have too. I usually prefer the Passage. The owner there doesn't even seem to notice me which is a blessing."
Hyun Joong sensed the shift in his friend's mood and frowned. "Sorry. You'll get it though. You always do." He had confidence in the wizard. After all, both of them were stubborn and never gave up once they set their minds on something. Nope, they could both be relentless to a pretty dangerous point. It was one reason he checked up on his friend from time to time. He had his mother and dongsaengs at least, but Hyungseok didn't have anyone who really cared about him. "And how will you make me relax?" He hoped it had nothing to do with the way the girls that tried to catch his eye wanted to make him relax.
Listening, the prince thought that was fascinating. He chuckled though. "That's too funny. What kind of weird place are you thinking? And it might be interesting." He loved books himself, but he no longer had time to read. Hell, he barely slept. Four hours a night was usually all he got whether from nightmares or his mind being consumed with worry for the kingdom and his family. Scrunching his nose, he shook his head. "She does do stuff. I just don't think she should have to handle her duties AND the kings duties. Besides, I can't sleep, so might as well do something to keep my mind occupied." He knew the wizard was right, but he didn't want the title of king. "I do need a break, but I don't want the title. I can just do what a king does and stay a prince." He hadn't been camping since he was little when the kingdoms were in a relatively peaceful state. "I'll talk to mom about taking some time off." Plus, if they were caught together, it wouldn't be good, although he didn't really care what others thought.
Now he laughed. "Of course I do. Maybe I should take your books or come to your house to make sure you eat and sleep. I can't lose my only friend." He grinned.
@Kim Hyun-Joong "Well, good question. Maybe you were lazy," Hyungseok and a small chuckle escaped his lips. He really loved how they were with each other, it was relaxing and this friendship meant a lot to him. That was one of the reasons why he kept sneaking out time after time and got to meet the prince of the so very hatred kingdom. He did not hate any kingdom. Hate was a strong word and he was not a fan of it. The disagreement between those too kingdoms was so stupid, a minor inconvenience and if they just listened! But they all were head over heels in their hatred and Hyungseok was none to use all his energy for pointless arguments and fights. So no magic was used to harm the wolves but to protect his own kingdom. "Sure. I can give you a punching bag, but how are you supposed to take it home?" he said amused and looked at Hyun-Joong.
A grimace was seen on Hyungseok's lips. He was not a fan of people pointing out what he had not been able to reach and learn yet - and stopping time was one of those things. "Well, not yet. I can slightly slow time but only for a short moment." He pouted a bit. "I am working on it, though." But it did cost a lot of energy and concentration and if not really needed, this magic could cause some big problems. "So, not possible. But I can make you relax, that is a good thing too." He chuckled gently. Or take the anger away. But Hyungseok did not think doing this was a good idea.
"A lot of things. Some of them I haven't even figured out. Some old weird writing and it's hard to read but it's interesting. Some open a portal to places I haven't been yet. But I haven't dared to use them, what if I end up in some weird place, right?" Hyungseok shook his head amused and then nodded towards Hyun-Joong. "Well, what aboout you let her do some stuff? She is the queen after," he said and poked Hyun-Joong's nose. "You already do so much. Be the king or take a few steps back, honey. You need a break too." He had offered Hyun-Joong to go out camping or travelling with him a few times already but he had already declined.
When the other asked if he had eaten or slept enough he blushed slightly. "Well... you know me a little too well." He rubbed his neck almost shyly.
@Park Hyungseok Hyun Joong rolled his eyes. When the other patted him he scoffed. "Of course I did. You think I work out as much as I do to have my disappear?" He grinned, knowing his friend would know just how hard he worked out and how he fought for that time to stay sane some days. "Hey! My feet aren't that big!" He acted indignant, but to him this was all rather amusing. His life had been stressful since he was about 10 when his dad had been killed and then at 18 his hyeong had been killed too. He watched his mom try to hold it together for her children, but he was the one who had held her and told her it was okay to feel the pain. He was always the strong one. He had yet to shed a tear about his father or his brother, but he wasn't a crier. He was full of aggression though. Laughing, he shook his head. "Can you give me a punching bag?"
Magic wasn't something he played around with. "Thanks. I'll just have to find more time to workout. Unless you can stop time that is." He knew it wasn't possible, but it was a nice dream. Since he'd let his mom cry on his shoulder, she'd come to depend on him more and that meant he would put himself last to take care of his mom. He truly was a mama's boy, but his mom was all he had aside from some younger siblings.
"You and old spells." He shook his head with amusement. "So, what do they do? And I've just been taking care of stuff for the kingdom and handling the things dad would have done, so mom doesn't have to worry." He didn't mind. Often times it meant dealing with the Ravens, but he thought the whole feud was pointless. It started over a misunderstanding. No one in the wolf kingdom would dare touch the Raven prince. Howeve, the Ravens killed his father in cold blood. He couldn't forgive that. "Have you been eating and sleeping at least?"
@Kim Hyun-Joong Playfully Hyungseok popped an eyebrow. "Wlll, your is still on you so I think you did an okayish job." He winked at him and patted the other shortly. The other was probably not too happy with him patting him but it was just too tempting. "Also you don't fit into your father's shoes, his feet were tiny." Those words would probably piss every other prince off but somehow Hyungseok had a hand for the people in charge. He then nodded. "Though it sounds very stressful." It worried him, of course. Hyun-Joong had enough trouble in his life, he needed a break but as a prince a break was rare.
"Can I help you somehow?"
A frown was seen on Hyungseok's face and he leaned back, looking at the other. He checked him out a bit but there wasn't much difference. "I can help you with some stress relief spells," he then offered. He'd never dare to use magic on his friend without the other allowing it. He might turn an idiot into a frog but using magic on a friend was a big no go unless it was an emergency.
"Life is okay. Found a few very old spells so I've been busy. What about you?" Hyungseok barely had anything to say about his life. Hyun-Joong knew he often sat in his room and read books for hours and hours on end, forgetting to sleep and eat. Something that happened rather often, sadly.
@Park Hyungseok Hyun Joong left the palace after making sure his mother was distracted. Of course the servants were more afraid of him than his mother, so they wouldn't say anything to her about him sneaking out. There were times he just needed to get away and clear his mind. This wasn't one of them, but it would make a good excuse. With the duties of king falling to him as the oldest, he was under a lot of pressure which bred stress.
As he walked deeper into the foliage, he inhaled the scent of wet earth and all the plants that were native to their little area of the world. As he walked, his steps were as silent as if he were in his wolf form. He quickened his pace as he heard the distinct beat of his friend's heart. He pushed aside a branch and stepped into view.
Rolling his eyes, he scoffed. "I have working my off all day handling the duties of the king. Mother is distracted, so I had a chance to sneak out." He leaped up into the tree as well and sat down. "I hate the very idea of filling dad's shoes, but I can't let mom down." Hyungseok knew about how much his father's death had effected him and how much he loved his mom. He was the only person that dared to call him a mama's boy. "So how has life been for you?"
@Kim Hyun-Joong It was dark, the sun had set quite a while ago and Hyungseok was sitting on an old, broken tree while his legs were dangling in the air. He was pretty early, as far as he knew, but he had used the time to find some more herbs and other interesting things. He had even found a dead deer - and who knew? Maybe a dead deer heart might help with some of his spells? No one ever really knew. And if not he could study it, make some notes after all.
With an old pen that had no ink he scribbled into a book, words only he could see whenever he wanted to. It was an old form of magic and he loved it very much. It had been hard to obtain but so worth it. Before he had come here he had made sure every protection spell was still up and running and if not, he had restored it. After all, that was his job. But now he was in neutral territory. Usually they would meet up in the store or somewhere around an Inn, a pub, a place they could be in but at the moment so many people had flooded the places around here so it would be safer for them to meet up here.
When Hyungseok heard a sound he looked up, just to see his trusted friend. "Took you a while to get here," he teased and grinned brightly. it always made him happy to see him. Even though he was supposed to not befriend this person. But Hyungseok had never given too many s on rules and laws.
