@i. jaebum Oh how easy it was for Jaebum to manhandle the other. He was obviously bulkier than Jinyoung, with his broad shoulders and sturdy arms he'd just bite and claim, unapologetic. Especially when he was brimming with anger.
"It's not Alzheimer," He snapped at his friend and looked awry upon, his voice filled with pain, both physical an emotional. Jinyoung was hurt, of course he was, even more from the fact his best friend didn't seem to understand him. It didn't feel justified. "It's reflex, I started jumping at this leg when I was 8. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Or expect him to forget the old ones." Jinyoung added, dejected. He hadn't come to terms with what had been happening to him yet. That he wasn't as strong as a year ago. It wound his pride that he had to lean on obviously pissed Jaebum to walk to the locker room just so he could put his shabby shoes back on.
@p. jinyoung "Of course it's always the wrong leg", he quickly answered to the temporary disappearance of Jinyoung's ability to distinguish between left and right leg. After all both of them were so alike!
However, Jaebum obviously wasn't in the best mood for joking around with his best friend who also didn't seem to invest much energy into hiding his own suffering. The pain linked to the old injury which naturally was constantly fresh as the younger of two students didn't care enough about his own well-being. It looked like this in Jaebum's eyes and sometimes he caught himself wondering, if he was the one supposed to care for both of them.
As stubborn as he could be, Im didn't let latter's hand go, to Jinyoung's disappointment probably. He instead stayed by his roommate's side, wrapping one of his arms around Park's waist, supporting him on this short journey towards the railing and exit which could be easy to locate by someone who wasn't too familiar with the place.
"Maybe you should go and see a doctor, huh? Alzheimer at such young age is surely not normal."
@i. jaebum He did not know when Jaebum appeared by his side, quick to aid him. Jinyoung was so used to the presence of his roommate slash best friend slash soulmate - they'd been in each other's lives for so long it was hard for him to even process the concept of them being strangers at any point of his life. He and Jaebum were friends ever since that day where they almost drowned while skating on frozen pond. Dangerous experiences bring people together after all.
"I stepped on the wrong leg" He explained, a sheepish smile tugging his lips as he rose out of the floor with his friend's helping hand. Jinyoung couldn't brace himself to look at his roommate in the eye, though. Jaebum was radiating with anger and Jinyoung hated being the reason of it. "I forgot again, my bad." He added and slowly let go of the other's hand to sled towards railings. He was fine, he had to be.
@p. jinyoung To Jaebum, skating rink seemed like the perfect escape from the excess of degrees Celsius on thermometers. And most likely also from a few faces he would rather avoid for a couple of days at least, reason: not specified. Crossing the doorstep of the men's locker room, he didn't expect to see more than single pair of shoes resting peacefully under one of the wooden benches. Naturally, Im didn't even have to guess who was the owner of the lonely pair of black sandals. After all he saw them everyday, he saw them last week also and he probably would keep seeing them in the future until they're worn enough to replace them with a new model. Jaebum put skates on his own feet and soon he joined Jinyoung on the ice, however, before he found a moment to greet the other, he witnessed another evidence of his best friend's stupidity. Not wasting any more second, Im rushed to help.
"You ing dumbo", he started, when he was close enough for the latter to hear him. Of course he wasn't making fun of Jinyoung's little overgrown ears. Reason behind using this nickname had nothing to do with that adorable elephant. "Come on", he added quickly, while having both of his hands reaching out for the other. Saying that Jaebum was angry at his roommate wasn't far from the truth.
@i. jaebum He was aimlessly wandering the arena trying to kill time after the standard practice of their team. The local ice rink was almost empty – after all, who would want to go skating in the middle of summer? Jinyoung shoot out across the ice, transitioning from forward crossovers to backwards crossovers. With trained ease, he executed each move – flip jump first, following the exit arc around into a sit spin. From there, he took a few backwards to perform a backward spiral. The finish with his landing leg out aggravated knee injury and the skater winced in pain so sharp he couldn't move for a while.
