@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ l. ten “I think it’s more like you wish I change my mind,” mused Johnny teasingly, starting to seal back the containers of leftover food, stacking the empty ones. “How tired are you? Need me to carry you?” It was just a passing question he threw out there. He gave Ten a stern look after hearing the usual time he goes to bed. “Dude, that’s very late. Are you sure you’ve been sleeping?” Shaking his head in disbelief, he held onto the empty containers while keeping the others in the plastic bag, hanging it to Ten. “Keep them in a fridge and heat them up for breakfast tomorrow. Let’s get you back to your dorm.”
@ᶜʰᵒʳᵉᵒᵍʳᵃᵖʰᵉʳ x. minghao "ʜᴀᴏ" "Sounds perfect, love." Wooyoung hummed softly, squeezing Minghao's waist before moving to replay the song. Once the first chorus was over, he stopped and moved aside to let Minghao take over.
@ˢᵒˡᵒᶦˢᵗ j. wooyoung "ɴᴏɪʀ" The older male snorted at the other’s comment, sticking his tongue out playfully. “Imagine what it’ll look like when I actually know the dance.” He laughed, stepping over to press an amused kiss to his boyfriend’s cheek. “Let’s replay it and I’ll do some freestyle to see what feels right?”
@ᶜʰᵒʳᵉᵒᵍʳᵃᵖʰᵉʳ x. minghao "ʜᴀᴏ" Wooyoung watched Minghao copy the move that he had been doing with darkening eyes, his lips at the sight. " Hao, you look so good doing my dance." He mumbled softly, letting out a long, shaky breath and running a hand through his hair with a slight grin. "Okay, so did you have any thoughts on like, what I should do next?"
@ᵐᵃᶰᵃᵍᵉʳ s. johnny “Psh, you say that now, but you better not change your mind,” Ten laughed, cheeks a little warm under the serious tone of the older male, “I’ll be sure to give you more attention when I can, though. Your daily dose of Ten. Maybe I’m a little tired.” He rolled his eyes along with his admittance, glad the other was letting him lean against him. His muscles were ready for the comfort of his bunk in the dorm so he could rest. “Pfft, maybe. Hasn’t happened yet, so I’m going to keep learning as much as I can,” he grinned brightly, “Yes, yes I am. Mm, I usually go to bed around three or four in the morning.” Sometimes even later if he was particularly stuck on something. If anything, he was preparing himself for the idol life and the strict schedules he’d certainly be under. He took the drink into his hand with a hum of thanks, nodding his head. “Yeah, I don’t think I can possibly eat anymore. Let’s clean up.”
@ˢᵒˡᵒᶦˢᵗ j. wooyoung "ɴᴏɪʀ" Minghao watched each movement attentively, tapping his foot along to the beat and following the counts in his head. He grinned when the other turned back towards him, and stepped over with a thoughtful hum. “I like it a lot. Really flows with the music, especially that one spot,” he commented as he did his best to replicate what he saw from memory, “Can really pull out the emotion of the piece.”
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ h. hyunjin "ᴊᴇᴛᴛ" Felix could only feel sheepish from the other's behavior, no wonder most of the trainees found Hyunjin intimidating— well he thinks they deserve them anyway. From the other's orders, Felix was quick to get into his serious mindset, rolling his shoulders one more time for a good measure as he was about to get into stance, only to blink confusedly from the too-bright-for-him-to-handle smile the elder sent his way. "Really, damn that , but I reckon it's a good gain." Felix tells the other, mirroring a soft grin back before rolling his eyes at the words that left his mouth right after, "Shut up for real, if you get in trouble for talking like that to our PDnim," Felix taunts him, shaking his head a little.
Felix was then quick to get back into his training mood, moving his limbs to the other's commands, occasionally sending the other a reassuring nods as he stares at both their reflections in the mirror, subtly admiring the other's ability to teach.
@ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ f. yaning "ᴍɪʟᴀ" Lucky nodded and grinned slightly listening to the other woman. "Ah, any songs would be a massive help. I have a few western songs but they're still my dad's type of music." she sighed slightly, watching Yaning move to the centre of the room, and Lucky followed sweet, watching Yaning in the mirror to try to copy how she moved.
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ j. hyeonju "ʟᴜᴄᴋʏ" Yaning turned to face the younger female with a slight smile. "I don't listen to much really. Just enough to keep up with my English. I can recommend some songs to you." Yaning nodded firmly and smiled as she moved to the center of the room. "Yeah. We'll start with the beginning and go from there.'
@ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ l. donghyuck seeing the younger already doing the arm movements (well, tried to, actually) simply amused him. with eyes glued to the laptop's screen, jaemin settled himself down beside donghyuck before shifting his gaze over to him, "i see, i see," he said in a small sing-song voice, smiling. "can i join you? i mean, if you don't mind– i don't have anything else to do right now, so i might as well join you practising."
@ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ f. yaning "ᴍɪʟᴀ" Hyeonju chuckled lightly as the woman agreed with her, nodded enthusiastically while watching the woman dancing and humming to the song before thinking for a few moments. "I haven't really listened to much western pop yet. I grew up surrounded by my dads kind of music instead, but I'd like some recommendations if you have any?" she asked, tilting her head as she watched the woman before shaking her arms slightly. "Anyway! Show me some moves? I want to see what I can manage?"
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ n. jaemin "sᴇᴠᴇɴ" Donghyuck stretched out his arms as he watched the dance on his laptop, doing the arm movements halfheartedly as he tried to copy them. Jumping slightly when he heard a voice, he paused the video and turned to the door, grinning widely. "Oh, hi Nana-hyung! I'm just learning some girl group dances to keep my muscles warmed up without working myself too hard."
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ j. hyeonju "ʟᴜᴄᴋʏ" Mila nodded and danced a bit to the song. "Yeah. Can't go head first into the unknown now can we? It's all about starting easy before getting into the hard stuff." She chuckled very softly as she hummed among to the song. "It's a good song. I've enjoyed listening to it myself." She nodded firmly as she restarted the song after it finished and grins.
@ᶜʰᵒʳᵉᵒᵍʳᵃᵖʰᵉʳ x. minghao "ʜᴀᴏ" Wooyoung had only worked up through the second verse, unsure about what he wanted for the rest of the song. Once the second chorus started, he dropped the idol mask and laughed squeakily, turning to look at Minghao with a grin. "Okay, so that's what I was thinking for the beginning. What do you think?"
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ l. yongbok "ғᴇʟɪx" "Ya," Hyunjin's voice echoed through the room. Sure, he isn't the eldest among the people grouped together but, who the cares when no one would take charge if it weren't for him. "Turn the music off. Let's learn the moves first and make sure the lines are all sharp and equal." He says, his voice changing tone. He then turns back to the other male to smile and break from his teaching facade he'd use when they're rehearsing. "I had to learn it or else my parents won't let me train to be an idol" Hyunjin replies, and continues, "So what, Younghyun PDnim must know that our beds aren't as efficient for our bodies." He says bravely shrugging.
The music stopped and he moved towards the center. "I'll be explaining in English so Felix can keep up, just follow your instincts and common sense." He states, grinning. "If you have them," He jokes before starting off with the first steps. He moves slowly, step by step and explaining it in detail for Felix. His eyes constantly looking at the other male whilst speaking. "Move your right foot forward first then, step out with your left foot." He instructs, "And then straighten your arms. Make sure you pay attention to angles because our teachers focuses a lot on them."
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ h. hyunjin "ᴊᴇᴛᴛ" If Felix was obviously astonished with Hyunjin's ability to speak English, he chose not to question it, but that doesn't mean he was obviously amazed with how well he could speak said language— actually, curse his brain to mouth filter. "Woah, never knew you could speak English this well." Felix grins, lifting a hand up to pat the taller's shoulder. He couldn't help but wish he was as good as Hyunjin when it comes to learning languages, man was he good.
"The beds?" Felix perks up again, his face contorting in amusement. How could this man be so shameless? "Keep your voice down, man, you're dissing the company." Felix shushes him playfully, a finger on his lips. "But I could say the beds are indeed hard as ." He mumbles under his breath, trying to bend a bit as he felt the stinging on his upper back. At the other's reassuring pat, he beams widely, eyes crinkling as he rubs his palms over his freckled cheeks. "Thanks man, really. A'ight let's go."
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ l. yongbok "ғᴇʟɪx" Finally, Hyunjin found a use for his mostly hidden skills in speaking English. Its not that he learned the language specifically because he wanted to use it when he becomes an idol but, it was a need at the time. His parents wanted him to excel in school and be an achiever - he gave them just that thus paving his way to make them supportive of the path he took. He's oftenly regarded by everyone as a jerk, but did he care? Of course he did not. He could careless of what these trainees who lack the grit to debut think of him, he has too many plans for his future that he couldn't waste any of his energy on maintaining a wholesome image for them.
Relieved, Hyunjin brings both hands to adjust his beanie on his head. "That's definitely not aging, man. Its the beds." He says, scrunching his nose in disgust at the idea of their dorm beds. "They're too hard to be honest. When I first moved in I was like that too." He lightly let out a laugh before continuing to stretch his arms. The routine isn't too complicated but it sure required their sharp moves to make it look good. "We've gone through most of the choreo yesterday, let's just polish today. I'll help you out because the teachers explained in korean yesterday." He says, patting the other male on the shoulder. "Okay. So, let's get started?"
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ h. hyunjin "ᴊᴇᴛᴛ" Felix admittedly really loved when people smiles at his way, it's an automatic fuel to his happiness energy. He almost forgot the burden crawling up to his chest as he started to engage himself in a conversation with the taller trainee. "Jungwoo's like a mother, honestly. I hope I get close sooner to the others too, but like," Felix shrugs, cutting himself off, not wanting to explicitly state his insecurity over their language.
He was about to start twisting his hips to continue his stretching, only for his eyes to widen as he heard Hyunjin calling out the two trainees who bad-mouthed him- Ah . Man, he's so cool. Felix couldn't help but admire him, an amused grin evident on his face as he shamelessly stated their own weaknesses, he couldn't help but snicker, clearing it up with a clear of his throat right after. Meeting the other's gaze, Felix's look says 'Thanks for that, man', and he couldn't really be more endeared when the other started talking to him in English. A flood of relief washing over him as he could finally talk in his native tongue, "Shush, let them be. Also, man, my back? I don't know if it's from me aging fast or I didn't stretched properly," Felix's accent was thick, his low chuckles reverberating his chest.
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ l. yongbok "ғᴇʟɪx" It was moments like these where he'd give an annoyed glare towards other trainees who think they're all that when they have their own issues themselves. He's not biased; Hyunjin just likes being fair and straight to the point. With his quite distinct personality, he'd often get into misunderstandings with other trainees but did he care? As long as it not affecting his performance, he definitely won't mind being a bit outspoken. Felix isn't from the country, he's basically doing so well than most of them just by learning the language. It just made those comments come incredibly off.
Clearing his throat, Hyunjin smiled at the other male. "Yeah," He shrugged and showed off his all healed ankle. "Jungwoo had to force me to rest for the whole day but I ended up feeling better so I guess listening to Jungwoo isn't too bad at all." He says, before his face completely changed as he turned to the other members of the group he's been paired up with. "Oh. You two," He says, his hand slipping into his pocket. "Have you memorized the routine yet?" He was met with silence that only confirmed his suspicious. Hyunjin scoffs and loudly mumbles, "You guys have the nerve to do small talk when you can't even tell the difference in between groove and rhythm." Snickering, he turns back to Felix, switching languages to English, Felix's mother tongue to efficiently help him. "We'll go over the steps today so you'd keep up with those dirt bags behind us. How's your back by the way?"
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ h. hyunjin "ᴊᴇᴛᴛ" Bursting through their dance practice room's door, an apologetic smile quickly bloomed into Felix's lips, his chest heaving way too obviously (because he had obviously ran through the stairs just to get in time) as he steps into the room. "Hey, guys! Sorry! I'm a bit late today. I slept through my alarm.." Felix mumbles, his mood obviously sour compared to his usually optimistic demeanor, the sheepish grin never leaving his lips. The room then echoed a chorus of "Nah, it's fine," But one thing that had caught his attention was a mumble that he wished he never heard instead. "Isn't he the one who had the tendency to overdance? Man he ruins the choreography."
Although Felix was still learning their language, it was times like this that he wished he hadn't understood those words, gently scratching his forehead before pushing his freshly dyed locks off of his face. It's fine, he was fine. He just had to work harder. Felix convinced himself, settling his bag down on the shiny floor of their practice studio, not even bothering to remove his jacket like he usually does as if it would cover how insecure he felt at the moment. Felix didn't felt like talking at all, but his actions would be rendered too suspicious if he were to just ignore everyone, right? "Hey, goodmorning. How's your ankle?" Felix's voice was gentle, concern evident in his tone as he started twisting his arms to do his warm-ups.
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ l. yongbok "ғᴇʟɪx" Like students who strive to do their best to receive good marks at school, all the trainees do their hardest to receive acknowledgement from the management for one reason only; their most awaited debut. Hyunjin who has always been head strong and determined has never missed a lesson, never been late to practice and has always spent most of his free time to rehearse and complete his routines.
As the showcase looms over their future, most of the trainees are gearing up to impress the heads and give them extra brownie points that may take them towards the steps that would make their dreams take flight. Hyunjin isn't going to pass that opportunity down, thus, calling up one of the struggling members he's been grouped with - he knew he had to take matters to his own hands. Felix and Hyunjin gets along well, not too close like the others are with Hyunjin but maybe its because Hyunjin's often rehearsing alone, he hasn't had the time to get to know the other that much. Thus, he did look forward to get to know the other male, stretching his body to the music that was playing through the speakers as he waited for him.
@ˢᵒˡᵒᶦˢᵗ j. wooyoung "ɴᴏɪʀ" Minghao laughed as he rolled his eyes and did what Wooyoung wanted him to, moving to restart the song and turning back so he could watch the younger. He always loved seeing his boyfriend transform into the idol persona he presented on stage. It was fascinating and unlike anything he’d ever seen before. Wooyoung was gorgeous, and the choreographer was so so lucky.
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ l. ten “I won’t ever get tired of you,” stated Johnny matter-of-factly. “Why? You’re already tired?” He asked teasingly while nudging Ten’s side, letting him lean against him. He nodded while listening to Ten speak, chuckling at his next goal. “That’s a lot to be learning. Won’t you have an overload?” He had an offended look on his face at Ten’s comment, poking his side. “Hey! Are you implying I’m an alien?” He raised a brow after hearing the remark. “Still pretty early? What time do you usually sleep?” Sorry was once again in his voice. Johnny looked at the banana milk contemplatively before shrugging. “You can have it, I can always buy more if I want.” He handed the drink to Ten before looking at the food, gesturing to them. “Are you done eating? Ready to clean up?”
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ c. tzuyu “That’s a good goal to have. If you’re well-rounded you’ll probably debut faster because you can fill any position.” Ten modded in understanding, because he had a similar outlook when it came to being a trainee. He would always specialize in dance, though, because that was his passion and what he knew he excelled in. “Sure! I can run through the choreography I’ve been working on for fun. Feel free to give critiques.” He laughed, moving over to his phone to find the music and set it up so he can do another run through of his choreography while his muscles were still warmed up.
@ᵐᵃᶰᵃᵍᵉʳ s. johnny Ten allowed his hand to be swatted away, chuckling under his breath at the older’s dramatics. Johnny never failed to make the dancer laugh. “You have my attention now? Isn’t that enough to get you by, Mr. Manager? Can’t be spoiling you, or you’ll get tired of me.” He joked right back, feeling rather stuffed so he simply leaned back against Johnny and set his chopsticks down. “I keep meeting more and more people that I’d like to communicate with. Japanese is next on my list,” he explained, whining as he fixed his hair, “I talk to you so I think I know how to speak to aliens already.” His gaze followed the other’s to his watch, and he pouted a bit knowing it was probably pretty late. He was surprised it wasn’t as late as he thought, though. “Ah, it does fly by fast. It’s still pretty early,” he eyed the bottle of banana milk, “If you don’t want it I’ll take it back with me to the dorm, but I don’t think I could eat or drink anymore right now.”
@ᵗʳᵃᶦⁿᵉᵉ l. donghyuck jaemin had just finished having a vocal lesson with one of the teachers, his throat now dry – he didn't know why having vocal lessons were necessary, but he guessed that all trainees had to go through it. he opened his water bottle's cap before chugging down some of the water. passing by a dance practice room, he couldn't help but to stop in front of the door as he could hear a girl group song, one that wasn't from their company. curious, he pushed the door open, and saw donghyuck watching a girl group dance from a laptop. he approached the younger, a puzzled expression on his face, "hyuck? what're you doing?"
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ n. jaemin "sᴇᴠᴇɴ" Getting a day off from training was rare, and since Donghyuck was homeschooled, it didn't take him long to complete his schoolwork for the day before getting bored. Not wanting to play any of his video games and tired of practicing his bass, he decided to go hang out in the practice room, learning some new girl group choreos.
@ᶜʰᵒʳᵉᵒᵍʳᵃᵖʰᵉʳ x. minghao "ʜᴀᴏ" "Of course I do." Wooyoung laughed quietly, winking at him and motioning for him to start the song over. When it played from the beginning, it was as if his whole demeanor changed, and it was no longer Wooyoung, but Noir.
@ˢᵒˡᵒᶦˢᵗ j. wooyoung "ɴᴏɪʀ" “You better love me, or this is pretty messed up.” Minghao teased the other with a playful glint to his gaze, as he watched Wooyoung move to the center of the room. He was content to watch through the mirror, ready to see what the younger had already prepared.
@ᵗʳᵃᶤᶰᵉᵉ l. ten Tzuyu hummed looking down at her idle fingers, "Nope I focus on vocals mainly," she made eye contact with him through the large mirror that was in the room, "But I wanna be an all rounded idol so I've come here to practice but I think looking at how you dance would give me a better perspective." Shifting her body a small inch away from the guideline on the floor she ensured she was not hogging any space from the male and kept her eyes locked on him, "Picture me as the audience if it helps," she gave him a bright smile.
