@christopher b。ᵐᵒᵒⁿˢʰⁱⁿᵉ Progress looked nice on Chris. If someone were to compare the image of him passed out and drugged up like that last time he had seen him, with his current self— you would argue that they were entirely separate people. That was a sight Changbin would never get out of his mind. It was burnt into his memory, the thing of nightmares, it had been.. for a long time he faulted himself for not doing more for the other. The tattoos were one thing, and the fitness another.. but he truly was just.. Chris. That same, warm bundle of excitement he had been when they were kids. Adoration bubbles up within his gut, a feeling that lasts only a few seconds before twisting into something new, and primal. Had his friend always smelt this good? “I am so proud of you.. I always knew you had it in you, Chris. This is incredible man.” The scent was unlike anything he could compare to a food he’s had before. Most blood smells exactly like you’d expect- irony and sharp, reeking of heat even when cold and sometimes even tasting like the plastic it was cased in. Other humans he has been around since.. the change, have smelled the same to him, none more appealing than the other outside of his own natural urge to feed. This scent.. it was sweet and spicy, aromatic and so ing fresh he could drool right here and now.. and it was currently in his own space for the taking. Disgust pools into the pit of his stomach— he just referred to Chris.. as it. He must truly have become a monster. “Aha. You’re huge dude. Huge- and I hope happy?”
@changbin s。ˢᵃⁿᵍᵘⁱⁿᵉ Seeing Changbin after so long was undeniably one of the best things to happen recently. It was like the final puzzle piece. Of course Christopher wants to hear all about what the other's been up to all this time but mostly he's glad his best friend is back in his life. Well, at least he hopes so. Changbin was at an inn and whether or not he chose to make a home here would be up for debate - perhaps he was just passing through? A lot of people do come and go in this town... Christopher really, /really/ hopes he actually stays. He laughs airily, breathlessly, and pulls his head back to begin wiping the tears away. He always hated crying in front of people, always said he was an ugly crier. "Thanks, uh--took me a good while to get back into shape but... I made it." Obviously, some changes happened over the years. A few more piercings and a whole bunch of tattooing sessions later, not only if Christopher fit, he's all inked up - how would Jisung react? Would he even believe that it was the same guy he used to sneak out of the house with every night? The only thing recognizable would be his trademark feature: the eyes. "I /feel/ like me.. Not completely, but progress is still progress." Christopher sniffles while playfully flexing his bicep when it was nudged. "Swole? Oh yeah I practically doubled in size didn't I?"
@christopher b。ᵐᵒᵒⁿˢʰⁱⁿᵉ To say he was unrecognizable would be a massive reach. It was unmistakably the same man he had befriended all those years prior- but enhanced. He looked healthy, if anything the peak exhibit of fitness with his tanned skin and toned figure visible even when clothed. Changbin himself had broad shoulders and a bully body type but now he looked petite in comparison. The shock hit him in layers. First appearance, then his glowing personality, and as he is squeezed like the last lemon for the lemonade, the scent. Changbin laughs with a short sniff, nose burning as the warm aroma of blood trails into his senses and warms his stomach with longing. " man- you look great." He sighs out in relief, a part of himself that had felt guilty for being unable to do more for Chris during his addiction and recovery healing slightly from the sight. His arms finally sank around the other, and if he were able to produce tears, he would have joined Chris immediately. "You look... you look like you." He pulls back enough to stare at the man's face with visible joy, his cool fingers nudging at the other's bicep. "You but swole!"
@changbin s。ˢᵃⁿᵍᵘⁱⁿᵉ The second the door swung open, all of the oxygen left his lungs at the sight before him. Seo Changbin. His childhood best friend. They grew up together in Sydney. They were inseparable, always seen together and never apart. Their mothers would sometimes even struggle getting them to come home individually before eventually just accepting that their son's had a second home and a second family. Christopher recalls waking up in the hospital after the car crash, seeing Jisung and Changbin leaning over him - they were both sobbing messes, blabbering about how worried they were. He also remembers the depression that hit after he was told the news about his family, how he barely said a word and always kept his gaze down. They tried talking him into rehab before 'incident' happened but Christopher didn't listen to them. From the bathroom floor to them sharing an emotional farewell at the airport, a whole lot has changed over the course of time. For example, he himself was built like a freaking Greek God (not his own words, of course) while Changbin seemed... sunken. "Holy ..." The human male gasped shakily, unable to move or say much for a good few minutes as tears glistened in his mismatched eyes. Then he's moving forward and practically throwing himself into the other man's arms, hugging him tightly like he was a lifeline.
@christopher b。ᵐᵒᵒⁿˢʰⁱⁿᵉ Of all things, Changbin was a confident person. First to respond to any initiative as well as the first fist thrown in a fight, it takes a lot to surprise him, let alone make him nervous. Yet here he was inside of the cozy hotel, pacing a path into the middle of the floor. The room was dark from the curtains being tightly drawn shut, not a of sun breaking into the area and draping him to be a rather well built shadow wandering around fervently. If his heart could beat it would be absolutely racing, and if he could eat food he would no doubt want to vomit. Instead, the very reason for his nerves in meeting up with his childhood best friends is the same one that can pick up the male's gait as he strides quickly down the hallway outside. Not in his right mind, Changbin in a deep breath, ready to put on a human facade as he opens the door just before Chris could knock, in the midst of his name leaving his lips. He stares into the face of a man he had last seen resembling a walking corpse-- and in the back of his mind he laughed at the irony of it all. "Chris."
@changbin s。ˢᵃⁿᵍᵘⁱⁿᵉ This was... certainly not what he was expecting. Running into one of his closest friends that stemmed all the way back to Australia. The man saw first hand what happened to Christopher after the car crash and that man also picked him up off the bathroom floor and carried him to a hospital. They've been through much together but sadly have lost contact for whatever reason - none of that matters, though. Changbin is here. Somehow. After practically running through town to get to the hotel, he finally walked through the doors and past the receptionist (who didn't seem to be paying attention anyways) to find room number 105. Once it came into view, his heart lurched and he quickly approaches it to knock. "Binnie?" It's been how long since they've last seen each other? Back then, Changbin had seen him skinny with sunken dead eyes and now it's a complete turn around.
@hyunjin h。ˢᵃᵘᶜʸᴶ A low whine resonates from the angel as Hyunjin kept nudging him to remain awake. The freckled being waves a hand in his direction in a lame attempt to try to get him to stop, more than content with taking a small nap right there and then. He was already beginning to drift off despite the continuous pokes, however when milkshakes were mentioned, Felix's head immediately shot up from the pillow as a pair of groggy circassian eyes blink a few times at the other male. "Milkshakes?" He echoed, rubbing one eye with a small fist before recoiling a little when the menu was shoved into his face. Felix blinks a few more times to let his vision settle so he could look over the menu with much more coherency. "They have Belgian waffles? Those are my favorite actually - I'll definitely have to try one of their milkshakes, too. Birds? Oh, right, yes - we can definitely watch the birds! The balcony has a beautiful view, too... I plan on watching the sunset tonight as well."
@felix l。ˢᵖʳᵉᵃᵈᵐʸʷᶦⁿᵍˢ "Nonononono," Hyunjin sputtered and flailed around the bed, trying to get up on it to search for the room service menu. "No falling asleep, little mister guardian, we have so much to do," Hyunjin tried to hype the other up, giving Felix precautionary nudges to keep him awake while he reached towards the nightstand for the solid, vertical table tent with not only the room service menu but also the wifi and other instructions. "Uuuuuuuuuh, what would you like?" Hyunjin asked, reading through the options while his free hand kept poking around Felix's face to keep him from falling asleep. "I'll have buttermilk and vanilla pancakes aaaaaand... oh look! They make milkshakes!" Hyunjin cheered excitedly, shoving the solid menu in Felix's face with a grin plastered on his face, trying to get the angel to pick his meal. "We can eat on the balcony! And watch the birds!" His attention diverted towards the large windows.
@hyunjin h。ˢᵃᵘᶜʸᴶ "I feel like we're on an adventures, Hyunnie," the angel confided with an excited grin plastered on his face. He hadn't felt this amount of joy in... well, ever. At least not that he could recall. It was a little overwhelming, but Felix was sure this would be a pleasant time, so he wasn't worried about it. "Some food sounds nice! I hear that some hotels have room service. Perhaps there will be a menu when we up there." As Hyunjin turns around to face him, Felix's smile broadens until his freckled cheeks bunch up, eye-sight a little blurry - and he laughs when the other completely misses the door, not minding that the couple down the hall give them weird looks for all the noise.
"Wow," gaping in awe, the guardian could do nothing but stand in the middle of the room wide wide-eyes. The bed was large. The room was open and spacious and had everything that they could possibly need as far as appliances go. There was even a mini kitchen and a two ceiling to floor sliding doors that lead to a balcony that overlooked Magnolia. Felix glances over and spots Hyunjin sprawled out comically on the bed face first, and he ends up laughing all over again. Instead, he sprawls out on top of his friend for a moment before finally rolling off with a small giggle. "The beds are super comfy! Oh, gosh - if I lay down like this any longer, I might fall asleep..."
@felix l。ˢᵖʳᵉᵃᵈᵐʸʷᶦⁿᵍˢ The very nice receptionist dealt with the two boys with a professional swiftness, and soon enough Hyunjin was bouncing off towards the stairs with Felix in tow. It was exciting to say the least. "We have to find the spa area later," he announced looking over the number on the room key. "Let's first settle down, maybe eat if you're hungry. If not, we can change and go explore!" Hyunjin proclaimed, turning bodily towards Felix and walking backwards down the hall, beaming like a small child at the amusement park.
"Heeere~ we are!" Hyunjin announced after almost passing the correct door unnoticed. He scrambled to the door and quickly unlocked and opened the door. The room seemed and smelled fresh, clean and very slightly chilly, just enough to feel welcoming and unused. The beds were immaculately made and nothing made Hyunjin want to jump on them more than the geometrically and physically perfectly ironed sheets and folded blankets. "This is amazing," the imp's eyes sparkled as he drove inside the room, belly-flopping on one of the twin beds, technically claiming it. "You have to try this, Freckles" Hyunjin mumbled against the gently scented fresh sheets, lying like a frozen starfish, face down, in the middle of the bed.
@hyunjin h。ˢᵃᵘᶜʸᴶ After climbing into the taxi and settling into the backseat, Felix was practically vibrating in excitement. Getting out of the cottage instead of being cooped up inside all the time was always a treat within itself but now he's doing it with someone he is more than happy to spend time with. Hyunjin held a special place in his heart and to be able to experience new things together was a highlight to the guardian angel. And after the other climbed into the backseat with him, Felix presses closer with a wide, giddy grin on his face and instantly began chatting him up; telling him all about everything Hyunjin had missed thusfar.
He looks up at the building after grabbing his bag, which was just a back pack filled with the essentials as well as an extra pair of clothes as a 'just in case'. Felix was in awe. The building was huge and the inside looked sleek, modern, and professionally clean. So clean that it was a bit odd. "Oh gosh, desserts? I wonder if they have lava cakes - those are /delicious/! We have to order room service first!" Felix declares, reaching out to take Hyunjin's hand and shuffling over towards the reception counter. "As long as we're being careful, I don't see why not! Come on! Let's go get checked in and get our room key!"
@felix l。ˢᵖʳᵉᵃᵈᵐʸʷᶦⁿᵍˢ Hyunjin grabbed his workout bag from his work locker. There were spare, clean clothes in there which he could use for the weekend in the spa. That's what it meant when he said 'pack'. This way, it would be faster. He did not wish to waste precious time with his friend. The taxi Felix took would come and pick Hyunjin up at the gym on the way. In a few minutes actually. Hyunjin was already waiting outside after his shift finished. He hopped inside the cab, sitting beside a bright eyed Felix, giving him an energetic sideways hug before the taxi drove off towards their destination again.
The ride was filled with small talk between the two, just the regular long time no sees and Hyunjin's generic daily routine at work. Though, when they arrived and were dropped off at the hotel with the much anticipated spa, Hyunjin's mouth stretched into a wide, toothy grin. "We're here," he bounced a little as he threw his bag over his shoulder, looking from Felix to the building itself. "We'll have a double adventure! Hotel and a spa," the blonde male was practically vibrating out of his skin. "Let's go check in and try /everything/," it was obvious he was thrilled about the new experiences that were awaiting them. The imp grabbed the angel's wrist, hurrying towards the entrance. "I can't wait! What do you want to do first? I heard they serve great desserts for dinner, but I guess we'll do that after the spa. Someone mentioned, or I've read it, I can't remember, that it's not good to swim on a full tummy. Can you swim in a spa? Like swim swim? Hmmm. I guess we'll find out! Isn't that exciting?!" With a spring in his step, Hyunjin kept rambling on and on as they made their way to the reception desk.
