@⤫ w. yukhei her gaze immediately shoots up in recognition, the familiar face of her friend greeting her trembling state. "oh, it's you." the words were barely a rasp against her paling lips. albeit reluctantly, her fingers clutch onto the stout fabric as it's wrapped around her, desperate to find within any remaining semblance of warmth. still whelmed in waters, eunbi's stare trails upward towards the moon once more.

while life had been kind to her and has given her many great thing, she'd only wished she could say the same for the people she's been with. they haunt her every dream at night; she'd be lucky if her sleep lacked any dream at all. familiar faces, a crowd of them above her – where she used to stand on a stage among them, even above, she was now to be ridiculed as a plaything beneath them. a failure, they would shout in unison. eunbi didn't like being a failure. "yuk, don't you think i'm horrible person? you know, for running away, for leaving my family, for everything..." the sentiments were quaint but unlost to the retreating tides.

leaving her nearly breathless, a near audible thundering within her chest sounded as her confession trails off. her visage, now flush from any color, held an expression easily likened to a lost little lamb. almost immediately, she'd felt the weight of her pity as guilt within her chest, the prospect of suddenly passing the burden to her friend bringing a tightening ache she did not succeed in ignorning. "im so sorry, you just got here and here i am already ranting. forget i said that."

@⤫ j. eunbi with his fingers blistered and bandaged, yukhei couldn't resort to fumbling and working on his cars to occupy his head and his hands and after a good two days stuck in his garage, he knew it was time for a change of scenery which is how he found himself on his motorcycle in the dead of the night. he lets out a disgruntled grunt as he parks his bike, a sigh escaping his lips in the form of a small cloud of fog and he's grateful he decided to layer up before leaving.

the stars illuminated the way to shore, filling his heart with a nostalgic sense of serenity that washed his figure with warmth despite the cold wisps of air caressing his now red cheeks. with the path alit, he takes purposeful steps towards the water and allows the salty air to stuff his nose as he gets ready to take in a moment. but, the moment is cut short when the glow of another figure catches the corner of his gaze. who could that be? he thinks to himself, his feet taking him towards the familiar sight of a particular someone's golden locks.

worry quickly replaces the peace he had initially felt as his heartbeats in his eardrums and his steps quicken towards the girl. he cowardly hesitates upon approaching her, not knowing how to get her attention without disturbing her but it seems she's noticed him first. yukhei's shoulders ease as he lets the leather jacket fall off them, taking it into his hands to wrap around her shivering frame before coming down to kneel beside her. "not a chance, little bee." his whispers are carried away with the chilling breeze. "don't you know you're stuck with me?"

she hadn't known herself to be the kind to find solace in the quiet of night, especially in such a place so overcome by the vastness of water. yet still, eunbi had figured that she needed her peace somehow, and she simply wouldn't allow her roommate to shoulder her burdens with her any longer. half submerged by the bay, eunbi's rouged cheeks provided a stark contrast against her shivering golden skin, the ends of her honeyed locks seeping with saline moisture – from her own tears or those of the ocean, she wasn't so sure. quick to be drowned away, her soft whinging meets the tide ripping against the shore in a gentle commotion. if she so wished, she was certain her distasteful mumbling would be silenced, too.

the moon governed above with it's companion of speckled light, the pale eye of the sleeping sun watchful over the weeping lass. the moon stayed close; perhaps not as bright, not as warm, not as familiar, but it was comfort nonetheless.

if it hadn't been for the water receding, she wouldn't have caught wind of the footsteps approaching nearby. she hadn't been expecting company, and surely not when her cheeks burned red and her lips still quivered. lowering her head into the nook within her folded arms, eunbi told the stranger off with whatever strength she had left. "whoever you are, please leave me alone."
