@✿ i. changkyun "Kyun!" Relief flooded off her in waves, thick in her voice. Professionally, Changkyun could not bail on her without risking breaking the contract. But even so, even if their arrangement was only because she had paid for his service, she still appreciated his presence and willingness to accompany her. Only God (and her grandma) knew how much Mihyun had made fun of her for this, right after forwarding his number to her upon request.
And although it is part of his job to act as her companion for the wedding, Mina still blushes when he offered his hand. In the years she's known him, all the interactions they've ever had always revolved around Mihyun. University kept him busy, and the rare 1:1 interactions they had were brief. Naturally, a little awkwardness hung between them, though perhaps it only emanated from her. "You look handsome yourself, though you always were." Mina daintily takes his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. Then, she groans, shoulders sag, and her features twist into a light, worried scowl. "Oh my god- I really am nervous. What if he tries to talk to me?"
@✿ k. mina Penguin suits were worn for any formal occasion. Weddings, birthday parties, expensive dinners, you name it. It just happened to be so that Changkyun would be wearing one to his little sister's friend to an event that she urgently requested last minute. Mina and Mihyun, his sister, were known to be quite the chaotic duo in his household. So much that he'd yell at them from time to time to keep the noise down during his university days. Was she still the spontaneous wild child he knew that worked in a flower shop? Or was she a bit more civil nowadays?
The thought made him chuckle and ironically, he didn't even have her number before this scheduled encounter. Sparing one last glance into the side view mirror of his car, Changkyun ran his fingers through his hair and opted to cross the street to the bakery as he sported a black form-fitting suede suit, hoping to meet the expectations of her criteria. He spots her chic silhouette from behind the door of the bakery, proceeding to walk inside to capture the unusual sight in all its glory. "You dress up well, Mimi." A simper pushes his brims up, extending a hand to kindly offer it to her, quite taken back at the staggering difference from her normal appearance. "Remember, if you get nervous... Just latch onto my hand. I'm right here for you."
@✿ i. changkyun If anyone told Mina that in a few years, she would be paying her good friend's brother to accompany her to a wedding that her ex would attend as well (so she wouldn't seem so pathetic), she would laugh and then be paranoid of it for the next few nights. Well, as it turns out, they were prophetic.
While telling herself it was for her own self-esteem and not because of her ex, she had dressed up in a cream off shoulder split dress paired with white lace up heels to match. Her hair cascaded around her shoulders in gentle waves, her face elegantly made up. The only aspect out of place was her anxiety. Once again, she checked her phone between scanning the passing people out in the street, wondering where Changkyun was.
