@jung wookjin Chanhee smiled back shyly at the baker, his cheeks colored by a light shade of pink. It wasn’t surprising that the other had noticed he had been stopping by frequently, he only hoped his motivation beyond the sweets wasn’t picked up as well. “Both sound delicious, I’ll have the hazelnut one for here and the mango one to go. I’m sure they taste as good as they sound,” he said softly. Complimenting the desserts was his way of calling the attention of the fellow elf, it was less embarrassing than straight-away asking to become friends. He mindlessly stared at the other products on display, drawing random shapes on the glass with his index finger. Despite having pretty sweets right in front of him, all he could think about was how he would keep the conversation going, he wouldn’t let it die at a ‘here you are’ and ‘thank you’ once again. He had come up with a thousand different scenarios but, as always, his mind was a blank the moment he stepped into the store. “I think I never asked your name…” He said as he looked at the baker. “I’m Chanhee, by the way.” That was the starting point of any friendship, right? You had to at least know each other’s names.

@choi chanhee wookjin had noticed a certain elf come by every so often. the man looked a bit jittery and nervous each time he approached to order, and wookjin never knew what he could say to make the other feel more at ease. he wondered if he was nervous talking to wookjin in specific, or maybe that he was just a shy person in general. he had a desire to befriend the mystery elf, given that there weren't many in the area and well...he has a soft spot for his own race. it was hard being here on your own, and wookjin simply wanted to be a friendly shoulder to lean on for the elf. they looked around the same age, so he figured they were bound to have some thing in common. wookjin decided that the next time the young elf showed up, he would take more initiative in getting to know him than the customary greetings. he never pushed before seeing how nervous the other seemed. his chance did come, and wookjin was working the front of the house when the elf walked in. he beamed his usual eager smile at the man, always happy to have regular at the bakery. "hello, it's nice to see you again." his voice soft, but full of energy. his bands moved slightly when he nodded his head, reaching up to tuck a lose strand of hair behind his ear. "we do! we have two types today: a mango and coconut sponge, and a spiced sponge with hazelnut. would you like to sample them to see which one you'd like?"

@wen junhui it was any typical day at the bakery, bustling with customers and the air lightly sweetened with the scent of fresh bread and spun sugar confections. wookjin cherished these moments the most when he saw how the display cases were slowly dwindling, and he had a full slate of catering orders to complete. on top of all that though, he still had time to experiment with some recipes he had been brainstorming for several weeks. he was nearly ready to put a few of them on the menu, but he still had some doubts about it and he thought of one person in specific who might have some more insight about the taste of his latest creations. he always valued feedback after all. when the crowd began to die down a bit and wookjin was arranging some of the desserts in the display cases, he heard the chime of the door indicating a customer had arrived. when he glanced up and saw the familiar face of a regular customer, his soft features brightened with a friendly grin. "oh, jun! it's nice to see you again. how are you doing today?"

@jung wookjin Chanhee had just finished his shift at the flower shop and didn’t have any other appointments for the day, so he was heading to the bakery. He had been stopping by often, and the reason was the species of the owner. It wasn’t common to see other elves in Rigbarth, even less around his age. Maybe the baker could become his friend, maybe he could even find out more about his powers… If only he had the courage to actually start a conversation. Every time he went there it was the same: checking the daily menu, ordering whatever new they had, eating, and leaving. He’d always promise himself the next time it’d be different, but then another client would be talking to the owner, or he’d be busy with orders and Chanhee didn’t want to disturb. Well, as long as he kept showing up, his chance would come, right? With that hope, he stepped into the shop and took a deep breath before heading to the counter. “Hello, do you have sponge cake today?” It was just the usual customer-to-attendant conversation, but at some point, it’d go past that. He was sure it would.
