@choi chanhee •━❪❃❫━•⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Upon, hearing the elf apologizing to the Fenghuang, Xiaoting immediately shakes her head frantically, while waving her hand at him in a `no, no` motion, not wanting to have the fellow creature feeling guilt-stricken about her little scolding. “Heavens, please don’t apologize m’dear, it’s not right of me to have scolded you, with you being someone I’ve met only a couple of minutes ago to be precise, but it’s only because I can tell there’s good in a being such as yourself and I do have a liking towards you. You’re very polite and kind even if you’re reserved, it doesn’t mean you’re cold or disrespectful in any way, I was merely being caring towards you, in hopes of getting you to have proper meals in time to come.” Xiaoting emits a deep breath as she went on a tirade of a speech in hopes of comforting the younger, her eyes lighting up and crinkling at the corners, her lips pulled into an overly bright smile whilst tipping her head to the side. “On another topic at hand, I would be delighted to hear anything and everything about this beautiful village. From what I’ve seen thus far, it seems that everyone knows everyone and it gives that homey, cozy feeling, I like that, especially coming here alone…” she trails off and tries to not look too aghast by the fact that her family isn’t even here with her.
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀“Speaking of past romances as well, I think we can get along with failed romances, as I have never even… gotten that far so you can consider my entire love life an epic fail,” she mutters with a flicker of a grin, a grin that does not necessarily meet her eyes. If Xiaoting was, to be honest to anyone about anything, she would admit to being hurt over the fact that she works over time and overwork herself in hopes of helping others and accomplishing the goals set out by her heart and mind, the inner magic deep within her thrums from the overwhelming `need` to help others, wanting to assist them in anything that may be needed in time to come. “I would be an honored soul to be in the company of you Chanhee, dear, thank you for being such a sweetheart, and I would be sure of protecting these beautiful flowers upon arrival at my home. Oh! Right, 900 gold pieces,” she flashes him a tender grin, before reaching into the little floral decorated sachet that she sewed up herself while back in China, she even holds it out for the slender boy to have a look. “This is a little look of what I tended to do back at home, I would draw on paper to create designs and eventually sew them into little pouches or sachets or even have them embroidered into little girls' clothing. I never had the confidence to get to adult clothing, perhaps I might end up getting inclined to do that here, who knows.” She flashes him a grin, placing the pieces of payment onto the counter and stepping back to give the elf his room to close up. “I think it would be aesthetically pleasing to customers coming in to see paintings of various flowers on the walls perhaps? Maybe, you can run that by your boss? I won’t charge for it either, it can be a way of me trying to explore my skills and getting exposure for them. Perhaps one day I can do professional painting in the village for clients who come to my shop, take on little jobs here and there perhaps.” Xiaoting is over-ambitious that’s for sure and she doesn’t plan on stopping there. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ •━❪❃❫━•
Chanhee nodded in assurance with a contained smile. He was excited to go, but he wasn’t someone to easily give it out unless it was to his family or close friends. It’d lead to misunderstandings from time to time, as people reading him as distant or uninterested, and was probably one of the reasons he didn’t have many friends or a lover. “Sorry,” he replied to the little scolding, lowering his head. He quickly raised it again, however, to look at Xiaoting as she spoke. “I don’t usually eat much but I’ll do my best to share all the dishes with you. As you’re a foodie you must be eager to try all the delicacies of Rigbarth, right? It wouldn’t be right if I was recommending them to you and didn’t eat them as well.” He left the flowers on the counter and picked a sheet of brown paper to wrap around them, finishing with a white ribbon. It would protect the cherry blossoms a bit until they were placed in a vase in the client’s house. “It’s 900 gold,” he said as he handed the wrapped bouquet to the woman.
“I can, yes. The owner is busy today but I’ll talk to them tomorrow morning. I’ll stop by your shop and let you know,” he replied. He had said the boss would be happy seeing the plants in a piece of art, but truth be told Chanhee himself was excited about the idea, maybe not even the owner would be as excited as he was. Bouquets were fleeting by nature, but even the potted flowers were gone forever after being sold. Having them in a painting would be a way of eternalizing their beauty. “Rigbarth might be small but it’s a great place to live, I’m sure you’ll get used to it in no time,” he said with a slight frown on his face. The elf wasn’t pleased about hearing his village being called quaint or an adventure to get adapted to. Even if she had come from a big and prosperous city, she must be in Rigbarth for a reason and should show respect to the place that he proudly called home. “I’m looking forward to hearing your stories, the farther I’ve ever been was the next city. I can hardly imagine what China is like, except from descriptions and drawings from the travelers that stop by. Sometimes I wonder if they’re true.” He continued in his spot behind the counter but watched Xiaoting as she appreciated the flowers, in case she decided to take another plant home. “I’d really like a crystal like that, finding someone who shows the perfect balance with me… I don’t think my past stories are interesting, but maybe I can tell them later, while we eat? As there’re no other clients I’ll close the store now.”

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Upon hearing the young male saying that his shift should be ending soon, gives an inkling of light into the young woman, her lips cracking into an overwhelmingly bright smile, so much so that her jaw aches a bit in the process. “Wow, really? You would like to accompany me? I’d be so honored to be in your company pretty elf,” her words chime out in a happy sound, a simper lining her pink brims, the pillowy couplets part after time upon hearing the remainder of his statement which brings a little frown to her lips. “Tch tch, you haven’t eaten since this morning dear? That’s no good,” her disappointment and worry can easily be heard and she looks over at the boy named Chanhee before flashing a soft grin his way. “We definitely need to feed you a lot hm? We can get as much as we can both handle, seeing as I’m in a mood for a feast at this rate. Didn’t know I’d be this hungry just by walking around, I’m a certified foodie, so it might come across as a bit… Overwhelming to see just ‘how’ much I can keep down.” Her laughter rings out in the air, and a shake of her head is given, soft, reddened strands siding down her upper frame as she watches the elf ring up her flowers before turning around to take in the interior of the shop once more.
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “You can do me that little favor don’t you? Additional to accompanying me to a meal that is,” laughing light-heartedly, Xiaoting does feel a bit guilty but she’s also relieved, hearing the boy admitting to `wanting` to go with her to grab a bite. At least it’s not against his will, that much she feels at ease. “You can hear different things about me if you’d like to on our little hangout. Hm, I can give you some stories I’ve had, after all, I come from somewhere totally different than this little, quaint village, it would be quite an adventure getting used to being here, however, I look forward to it all in all.” Murmuring to the male, she walks over to the opposite end of the store, somewhere she didn’t reach that far to look about, her eyes studying everything that comes to view while taking it all in, the scents and the aura around the area, her smile is bright as it may before turning over to Chanhee and tipping her head to the side a bit curiously. “Love crystals are one of my best-sellers and I’m a Fenghuang too, so I’m in charge of the balance of things concerning the Yin and Yang in life. That means I would be able to produce something perfect for you to have better luck in finding your special someone. You make me a tad bit curious about your previous love life shenanigans, but alas, I’m not going to be nosey, although, if you do want to talk about anything, I have been told I’m a great listener.” ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⋆┈┈。゚❃ུ۪ ❀ུ۪ ❁ུ۪ ❃ུ۪ ❀ུ۪ ゚。┈┈⋆
@shen xiaoting Chanhee’s expression didn’t change in the slightest at the sound coming from the client’s stomach, much less did he mention it, he would never be that indelicate to a girl. He only smiled in response to her lighthearted words, though surprise took over his features at the unexpected invite. “My shift is ending soon, and now that you mentioned it I noticed I haven’t had anything since this morning… I’d be happy to join you,” he replied in a soft voice, shy as he didn’t hang out with friends often, much less with someone he had just met. However, he was honestly glad to be invited, he’d give it his best to show the village to her and was hoping she wouldn’t get bored around him. “Ohh, China? You came from far away. I hope you adapt to Rigbarth quickly and like it here. I don’t think the owner will mind, they would enjoy seeing our flowers in a drawing, I think. Taking a break is important…” The mention of a distant nation made his country boy's eyes glister, and the excitement turned the elf more talkative - until he was called pretty again. “Y-yes,” he muttered.
Caught up in conversation, he almost forgot about the cherry blossoms, until Xiaoting picked them up. The care she put into handling them was clear, it warmed the florist’s heart that the flowers would end up in good hands. Sometimes he’d wonder how the plants he sold were doing, and those were found by someone who could appreciate their beauty and uniqueness fully. When she mentioned the store, a nearby place that was under renovation came to his mind and he was glad it would finally be turned into a new shop. New businesses always made the small village become more lively. “I could use a crystal… For my love life… It’s been a disaster so far,” he mumbled, covering his face in shame with his free hand. It was true, when it came to love he was far from being lucky. Using a crystal was one of the things he had never tried, maybe it could be the light at the end of the tunnel. He returned his gaze to his new acquaintance at her following words, tilting his head. “My aura…? It’s the first time I’ve been told that. Don’t worry about being chatty, you must feel lonely not having anyone to talk to. I talk to the plants, but it’s good to… actually talk sometimes. It’d be an honor to become your first friend.”
@choi chanhee ╌──═❁═──╌⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Upon, instantly hearing a suggestion being given to her, Xiaoting’s eyes widen a fraction of a second and her stomach does an embarrassing grumble. She hopes to all ends that it’s only to her hearing, however, she’s sure of an elf’s impeccably sense of hearing would definitely be winning the game. “Hm, it seems as if my stomach is fighting and agreeing with what you’ve mentioned. I like the sound of that, however, maybe I’m too bold to ask this, depending on the end of your work hour, would you like to perhaps join?” A tip of her head is given, red strands flowing down her shoulders and nudging with her famous puppy tilts and she smiles sheepishly while inspecting the arrangements around her. If she was to be let loose in a flower shop, her pockets would be emptied by the time she leaves. Xiaoting is obsessed with flowers, especially the ones that manage to catch her eyes and her heart. “I use to draw a lot back at home in China, and I always tend to have a knack for drawing flowers or floral arrangements. It would be a wonderful opportunity too if one day I can ask the owner if I could just sit by in a corner and do some sketches to carry back home and complete. It’s nice being in the presence of it all and getting that distinct vibe you know? I’m such a workaholic too, I rarely take breaks, so I think it would be a nice little adventure. Also, I can come back and meet you once more, pretty.”
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A small grin plays on her brims, before turning her gaze back to the twined-up Cherry Blossom stalks and she picks it up carefully, cradling it as if it’s a baby, which to Xiaoting it is. She tends to talk to nature a lot, seeing as she works alongside it for her crystals and elements being added to the uniquely shaped stones. “Also, I’ve set up a shop just around the corner, it’s called, `The Crystalabra,` if you ever need anything, maybe something for protection, or something to help your love life, or spirituality, sense of calm, hm even to help sleep and keep away nightmares, I invest in all of those things. You can always check it out if you’re into those things.” Flashing a tender smile the boy’s way and giving his offered hand a firm shake, she gently squeezes and senses the `good` in the boy, his light emanates brightly all around him and it’s invigorating to her from having such a positive spirit being this close to her. “I love your aura also, it’s very clean and enchanting,” complimenting him once more, she gives a little nod of her head and offers the little bouquet to cash in, wanting to have at least the first thing that caught her eye and for also having the poor boy speak so much. “I apologize for being quite chatty, I’ve been known to ramble and talk a lot, sometimes I have no filter and don’t know when to shut up, however, it would be really nice if I can get to know you more and perhaps make my first friend at Rigbarth?” ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀╌──═❁═──╌
@shen xiaoting Chanhee casually stared at the customer as he waited for an answer, a small, polite smile lingering on his lips. His expression slightly tensed up as she looked at him in silence, and he couldn’t hold back widening his eyes upon her closer inspection. Was there something on his face? Had he done or said something weird? If he wasn’t dealing with a client, he would probably have run away by then. His anxious imagination hadn’t prepared him for the words that indeed left the woman’s mouth though, and his complexion immediately turned pink. “Pretty..? T-Thank you…” He replied as he shifted his gaze to the floor and rubbed his nape sheepishly. He wasn’t sure if being called pretty was a compliment or not, but from her tone of voice he assumed it had a positive meaning. As she continued to speak, Chanhee returned his gaze to her, blinking a few times as he tried to shake away the embarrassment. “It’s okay, I… I think being blunt is a good thing,” he said before he smiled softly once again. “Oh, the cherry blossoms.” He was glad the subject quickly shifted to the flowers, one of the few things he was confident to speak about. “They’re for sale, we made them just this morning. They’re fresh and you won’t find them anywhere else,” he spoke, the second half was a sentence instructed by the owner.
The florist let the client freely look at the flowers around them as he quietly waited. Every plant was perfectly healthy and blooming beautifully, if it wasn’t that way it meant the plants were unhappy and the elft would never let that happen. “So that’s why I had never seen you before… I live here my whole life, I know everyone and every shop. I can help you with recommendations. Lackadaisy is a short walk from here, I mean, everything is a short walk away here in Rigbarth, it’s very convenient. Their food is the best,” he nodded a few times after speaking. He wasn’t sure about his actual birthplace but he considered Rigbarth as his home. No matter if it was small and many youngsters moved to big cities in search of better jobs, Chanhee had no plans to leave the village he felt so comfortable in, and would always speak about it proudly. “I’m Choi Chanhee, pleased to meet you too,” he replied as he accepted the handshake.
@choi chanhee ❯──「✾」──❮⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Just as Xiaoting was about to call out in the shop, hoping to grab someone’s attention, she’s graced with the sight of a very pretty individual. Her eyes widened as she senses what he is, an ‘elf’ or maybe a ‘fairy’ but upon looking closely, she can see a pretty tinge of his pointed ear and she smiles brightly. The Fenghuang always had an immense liking towards Light Elves, and she definitely senses zero darkness coming from this ethereal being before her; brings her to speak in a chirpy tone as if trying to express her happiness and elation at seeing the male. “Why hello there! You’re such a pretty creature aren’t you?” Smiling softly, Xiaoting has always been cheerful and blunt, even with her being on a downer just a moment ago, that doesn’t stop her from chirping positively, wanting to express her true feelings and thoughts to the male before her. “Sorry, if that came off bluntly. I am a bit too honest at times, so I’ve been told by my… well, my family. I— hm, I wasn’t really looking to buy any flowers in particular but I adore Cherry Blossoms and the cute little bundle over by the window,” trailing off, she shows with a pointed finger in the direction, before turning her avid attention to the youth. “I loved how it looks, is it for sale? Or as décor?”
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Breathing in the floral scent surrounding her, Xiaoting walks around the isles provided in the little store, it’s just enough with the space and she finds herself thinking it’s pretty neat, cute and cozy, aesthetically pleasing too, with the display of floral arrangements and what she supposes, even if the boy is a bit quiet, he seems just as pleasant to deal with as well. “Honestly, I am new to the village, I came in just last night, and I have a bit of a ‘direction’ problem. I have no sense of direction haha, I was looking for something to eat or a place to go have wine and take a much-needed relaxing drink and meet new people and try to get my bearings right. However, I was mindlessly walking the streets, lost, clearly and I saw that cute little arrangement, it’s not even huge and out there, but my eyes instantly drew to it.” Murmuring, the Chinese girl walks up to the little piece that caught her attention and reaches out with careful fingers, to brush across the little stems and the tie around it, her fingertips lightly trailing across the pretty pink petals, feeling the silken smoothness under her skin and it brings a sensational feeling of light and positivity. Something her instincts felt upon entering the quaint store. Turning back to face the pretty male, she walks over and offers a slender hand with what she hopes to be a warm, gentle smile. “Hello, by the way, I’m Shen Xiaoting, it’s a pleasure to meet you, dear.” ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀❯──「✾」──❮
@shen xiaoting There was a reason the owner of the flower shop was enthusiastic and even a little pushy when they were trying to convince Chanhee to work there. Even though the elf had no knowledge at all on ornamental plants, the skills he had developed while working on his parents’ farm since he was a kid weren’t something a common human would ever be able to achieve. Talking to plants might seem like a madman’s habit, but truth was that the plants actually listened. Kind words from the elf could make plants on the brink of death go back to life in a day, and his touch could make any disease go away. He wasn’t just an employee who sold flowers, he created a bond with them and, somehow, they could understand each other. Because of those skills, Chanhee was the only one who could have pulled off their last addition to the bouquet section. Branches of cherry blossoms arranged together; even though the flowers were frail and short-lived, in his hands they lasted long enough to decorate someone’s house for a few days. With the help of the shop owner who was skillful in making the arrangements aesthetically pleasing, they had come up with a product that was both beautiful and unique.
The elf was in the yard behind the store choosing the next plant to be displayed when he heard the chime. He immediately picked up the pot of daisies and went back inside, offering the client a smile once the florist went through the small, wooden door. “Hello,” he said as he closed the door with his free hand and placed the flowers on the counter in front of him. “How may I help you?” He had been working at the store for a few months but he was still a bit shy and awkward around clients - yet much less than he was in his first days. His demeanor was completely different from the owner who would strike up a conversation with anyone who walked in and consequently knew about the lives of literally anyone in the village, but he tried his best to at least tend to the clients politely and to provide them flowers they would cherish. That being so, he wiped the dirt off his fingers with a small piece of cloth and made his way around the counter, ready to show the woman any plants of her liking.
@choi chanhee ஜ☆❀☆ஜ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Being new to a part of a small, cute, cozy village isn’t something Xiaoting is used to. Seeking adventures in the new, quaint village would usually excite her if it wasn’t for the dire circumstances which resulted in her arriving here today. A bag on her shoulder is all to keep, she found a place to stay beforehand and offloaded her things, it’s a day to wander around and marvel at the places that may seem aesthetically pleasing to the young Chinese woman. Xiaoting isn’t someone difficult to please, honestly, she loves simple things, however, she has a weakness for magnificent things such as cosmic-related artifacts, unique jewels, and artifacts and upon passing by one store, in particular, her trail of thought screams at her. `Cherry Blossoms!` Xiaoting is such a weakling when coming to Cherry Blossoms, she adores the tress so very much and they always brought a sense of calm to her, tranquility, and peace of mind when she goes to the park, seeing them on the benches back at home and doodling random things on her sketchpad. She misses `home.` She wishes she can know what her parents are doing right this instant, are they safe as she is? Are they even living? Disheartened by her dark, glooming thoughts, the Fenghuang’s human counterpart tries to push such depressing thoughts out of her mind in favor of walking over to the little shop off the side of the road.⠀⠀

Always trust your intuition.’ Something that Xiaoting has no choice but to do, after all, being a Fenghuang; Chinese Dragon, they’re well versed in being highly intuitive and rather smart as well. Something that Xiaoting has prided herself on over the years while growing up around others. What caught her eyes, however, is the bundle of Cherry Blossom branches that are placed in a cute little bouquet, she wonders how much would the owner charge for something so delicate and adorable. A couple of steps in, she gives a little knock on the door once she enters in, even with the little chime above signaling a customer, she settles in, floral scents roaming around her, sweeping her into a blanket of sweet goodness and taking her further into the store to admire several flower arrangements her eyes are laid upon. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ஜ☆❀☆ஜ
@wen junhui After presenting each flower, Chanhee would glance at the customer, in expectation of his opinion. The florist was the one who managed the plants the most nowadays, if they weren’t to the clients’ liking he assumed it was his own fault, and he didn’t want to disappoint them or the flower shop owner. “I personally like dahlias too, I like how they can come in different colors,” he said as he stood in place with his fingers laced in front of his body, waiting while the other male was thinking.
“Marigolds? Hmm, we don’t have many left, I think… There was a wedding a few days ago and the bride really liked marigolds…” Said the attendant as he frowned a little, he was afraid he’d disappoint the taller man. However, at the mention of where the customer lived, he thought it would be a pity to pass on the chance to have the other’s favorite flowers decorate it. “Ruins? Marigolds would indeed brighten it up… I’ll show them to you, just a second,” he said before he made his way around the counter, behind which was a door. The door led to a small yard, where they kept the plants that either hadn’t grown enough to be sold yet or that simply were waiting to be displayed once there was room.
After a minute or two, Chanhee returned with a small pot in his hands, with a few marigolds that didn’t seem to be in full bloom yet. “We only have this one, sorry… The flowers are still going to grow though, in a few days they’ll be looking prettier,” he said, now standing in front of the customer to let him see the flowers from up close. “If you find it hard to take care of them I can help you, sometimes I stop by the regulars’ places to help them.”
@choi chanhee The employee that Junhui approached gave what the male could only assume the small town vibe. Junhui was a very observant male, so he took note of the way the florist was speaking and the little actions he was doing. The male looked at the vase that the other had gestured toward, and followed behind the employee, Junhui's hands crossed . "Oh! I really like dahlias." He mentioned as he heard the male bring those flowers up, He then hummed in thought of all the different types of flowers that the prince himself liked. "My favorite kind of flowers are marigolds, though. They really brighten up a place you know." A smile appeared on the princes face.
Junhui paused for a moment, he wanted to find a way to strike up a bit more of a casual conversation with the employee, as he heard most small town people have conversations just about anywhere, anytime, even while working. They didn't have to be always so upfront and formal all the time. Something the male had to get used to, as he was only able to enjoy time with his siblings.
"Actually, I'm currently residing in some ruins just up the way." He looked at the other. "So it's kinda dark and gloomy, so I just really want a variety of things in there." Honestly, Junhui would be happy with a wide variety of flowers in there, even if he didn't know what he had. "Do you have any suggestions for something like that?"
@wen junhui It was another day of work for Chanhee. His hours were always filled with taking care of the flowers, making bouquets and tending to clients, but he would never complain about it. His parents were the ones who had encouraged him to take on the job after the flower shop owner offered him an above-average pay, and as they had envisioned, talking to different people day in and day out was helping him become more comfortable around strangers.
He was removing the thorns of a bunch of white and red roses to make a bouquet when a voice echoed into the shop. “Oh, hello,” he said as he let go of the flowers and turned around, wiping his fingers on his apron. The florist got embarrassed at his own unsophisticated actions once he properly laid his eyes on the customer, who at a single glance could be set apart from the commoners.
“What kind of flowers do you like, sir?” He was a bit nervous as he spoke, it wasn’t every day that they welcomed nobles into the simple flower shop. “We received very pretty peonies a few days ago.” At that point, he had already made his way around the counter and was gesturing towards the vase of pink flowers. “We also have daisies, dahlias…” Chanhee walked around the small store as he showed each species to the client. “If you’d like a flower we don’t have in stock, we can arrange it for you as well.”
@choi chanhee Rigbarth had been quite welcoming towards the male newcomer. He has spoken to the field captain of SEED about the situation and they have allowed him and his knight to stay in the village in hiding. So naturally when the wolf boy settled into his home, he had to decorate it more than just the simple furnishings. So Junhui allowed his knight to take the day off, and do whatever she pleased as the male went around town shopping for things to make his room feel more like home.
There was nothing better to liven up a place, than life itself. Plant life that is. The flower shop was on the other side of town, but the prince wanted to enjoy the warm and sunny weather while also greeting a few of the other townspeople that day. Once he came upon Flowerstruck, he paused for a moment before going inside. The male couldn't deny that he was nervous as this would be his first actual interaction that he would be having with someone as 'Lord Junhui' and not Prince.
He straightened up and entered the store "Hello?" He called out looking around the shop that was filled with all different colors of flowers, and the sweet aroma filled his nose. He approached the person who he assumed was the worker. "I'm looking for nice flowers to make my room more lively." He was hoping for a bit of help with the task.
