ฅTaecyeon's Law Office

@Ok Taecyeon ฅᵃˡᵖʰᵃ Sunyoul ran towards the elevator, his head unclear with so many thoughts and questions. Once he was behind the elevator doors, his slender back pressed against the walls as waited for his floor to arrive. His fingertips return to his lips, touching them gently, it would appear he was obsessed with his soft brims but truthfully he was obsessing the kiss and the lingering memory of Taecyeon's tiers on them.

He whined, the kiss made him a confused mess as he rushed out of the elevator, wanting to be back home. Not sure what he would do, if he could even manage to distract himself from his own thoughts. He couldn't seem to think about Taecyeon, replaying the past things they did together, the things Taecyeon has said before this big kiss.

He was given a new perspective of his best friend's actions, how Sunyoul didn't realize that his friend's feelings could have been noticed back then if only he wasn't this oblivious to them. Soon the omega was back home, and the thinking continued in the realms of his room where he laid on his bed, eyes fixated on the white blankness of his ceiling.

The big questions finally stood out now that he had a moment to calm down but those questions made his chest tighten. Would they be able to be friends still, would he want to be friends? Will they see each other again? How will things be like after they reconnect?

And the biggest one that would remain unanswered;
does Sunyoul have feelings for him?

Now the past experiences were being played differently in his head, he was trying to figure how he felt during those times he was held and cared for by Taecyeon. He felt happy and content, he always felt safe to be by Taecyeon's side. He could never grow tired of him. Then he recalled that embarrassing incident where he fantasized about Taecyeon during his heat. Was it just because of the hormones and the heat? Or was it a combination of unknown feelings and his needs?

But the omega knew he had a childhood crush, he never had a crush on anyone else and how could it be possible to like two people at the same time. The poor confused man grabbed a pillow and whined into it, there was no way he would get a solution or answer in one night and that a few more days of confusion would come ahead.

@Sunyoul ฅᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ When Sunyoul murmured that he was sorry, disappearing down the hallway, leaving Taecyeon alone, the door shut in his face, the alpha groaned, standing still, frozen in shock at the dismissal he'd received at the hands of the omega that he loved. His first impulse was to chase after Sunyoul, but he forced himself to remain in his office. The kiss had been amazing as far as he was concerned - - everything he'd dreamed about for a first kiss with Sunyoul - - but he realized he'd been selfish. He'd taken the kiss without any warning, so Sunyoul had every right to be flustered and upset. Taecyeon had had some silly romantic notion that the kiss would have been enough to convince the omega that Taecyeon was the one for him, but he realized that all he'd accomplished was to drive Sunyoul away.

Resting his forehead against the door, one of his hands balling into a fist, he pounded on the solid wood a few times, cursing at himself under his breath. Straightening up, he turned to look at his desk, papers scattered across it, but he knew he wouldn't be doing any more work that evening. Reaching for his suit jacket, he shrugged into it, opening the door that led to his assistant's office, his briefcase gently tapping against the side of his leg. Locking the main door into the office suite, he wandered down the hallway, confident that Sunyoul was long gone, his mind in a bit of a jumble as he tried to figure out what he should do. He thought about telephoning or texting, but he was afraid Sunyoul would feel pressured, so he decided against it, knowing that he needed to give the omega more time.

Slipping into his car, Taecyeon sat in a stupor, his keys still in his hand, making no effort to start for home. He replayed the kiss over and over in his head, his heart pounding when he remembered the moment when their lips met. A car horn sounded in the garage, bringing Taecyeon out of his reverie. He wasn't sure how much time had passed, his hand reaching to insert the key in the starter, turning the engine over, revving it a few times before he pulled out of his parking spot, driving up the ramp to merge into the evening traffic, his hands gripping the steering wheel so tight that it bit into the palm of his hands, though he was oblivious to the pain as he drove to his loft in silence.

@Ok Taecyeon ฅᵃˡᵖʰᵃ The hand to his wrist was the first cue for the omega to jerk his head towards his tall companion, eyes lingering on the hazy hues of his face. He didn't need to see his features, the way his voice had weakly begged for his prescene was enough to tell Sunyoul there was more to this that he wasn't aware of just yet. Of course he would stay, he loved being with Taecyeon and wanted him to be okay.

A meek gasp emits from the omega as he is firmly embraced and flushed against the broad figure of the alpha, his own hands resting on his shoulders, his gaze glued onto Taecyeon. Then the distance seem to be closing in as those hazy hues of Taecyeon's face covered his vision and then the kiss happened.

The surprised omega tried to take a step back, he was completely lost at thought as he felt the warm tongue push into his mouth. His heart racing fast and hard in his chest, he could swore it felt like his heart was trying to break free from its owner. And like a storm with waves crashing, it came to a still, the kiss was gentle and more lovingly. Something that was at Sunyoul's inexperienced level, he didn't feel the urge to pull back instead he was enticed in this moment. His cinnamon scent was instensifying as so was his grip to Taecyeon's shoulders. He didn't know how to kiss back or if he even should and when it came to an end, he was left with his jaw slightly ajarred.

His eyes twinkling with confusion and brightness, his cheeks become rosy and heated. "I-" He was unsure about himself, why did he enjoy the kiss? His first kiss that was shared with his best friend....so many things we going through his mind and it clicked. Taecyeon liked Sunyoul, like how he liked his childhood friend but instead he actually pursued his feelings.

The omega took a step back slowly, his slender back pressing to the door. He didn't know what else to say, he was confused and all that he muttered was a meek apology. "I'm sorry..." He wasted no time to run out of the office, he needed time alone to his thoughts and feelings. He ran as far as he could, he brought his fingertips to his soft swollen tiers, recalling the kiss how passionate it was at first and how gentle it became. Did he like Taecyeon back...he didn't know right now....

@Sunyoul ฅᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ Taecyeon watched Sunyoul slowly move across the room. It felt like time was standing still, and Taecyeon began to wonder if the omega would ever reach his office door. As the distance between them increased, the alpha knew he couldn't let Sunyoul go. He was tired of pretending that he didn't care, and even if friendship was all he could ever have with Sunyoul, that would be better than never seeing him again.

Pushing away from the desk, Taecyeon closed the space between them in a few strides, his hand reaching out to grab one of Sunyoul's wrists. "Don't go," he mumbled, his voice cracking a little as he gave into the emotions that had been tormenting him since he became aware that Sunyoul loved another. "Please, Sunyoul. Stay with me."

Wrapping his arms around Sunyoul's small frame, Taecyeon yank him close, their chests meeting roughly as he bent toward the younger man, his eyes dark with despair. Their lips connected in a hard, abrupt kiss as Taecyeon's arms tightened around the man he adored. He shoved his tongue into the omega's mouth, wanting to taste him, not trying to be gentle. Their tongues tangled awkwardly, and for a second, a thought flashed through Taecyeon's mind that he should have remembered how truly inexperienced the omega was. Even as his mouth tugged on Sunyoul's upper lip, Taecyeon could feel a wave of tenderness rushing over him. His lips grew softer when they pressed against Sunyoul's lower brim before his tongue ran over the omega's mouth, trying to soothe the harsh treatment he'd received. It was only when he needed a breath of air that Taecyeon finally pulled away, his eyes studying Sunyoul's red, swollen lips, his hands reaching up to cup his beloved face, holding it reverently.

"Can't you stay with me, Sunyoul? I need you - - " There was a tremble in the alpha's voice. He dreaded the answer he might receive.

@Ok Taecyeon ฅᵃˡᵖʰᵃ Sunyoul's eyes followed his friend when he rose, but he himself kept seated, his hands nervously fidgeting and fumbling with each other as the situation continued between the two. He wasn't convinced, he still felt deep inside that there was a good chance Taecyeon was lying to him; for good reasons, but he wanted to know so badly.

The omega couldn't be easily assured with just words, even though he couldn't visually see or read Taecyeon's face, he needed more with those words to believe him. "I know...but still be careful...You can still do what you usually do and one day it might be too much for you, then you snap....and I don't want that for you."
Hearing that their conversation, a rather short one, had to come to an end, it was clear to see how disappointed the omega was with his shoulders slumping as he pouted softly.

He got up and gradually made his way to the door, there was hesitation because he had this tightening gut feeling that this might be the last time they would be in touch. He had a feeling Taecyeon would keep himself busy the next few weeks, and Sunyoul didn't want that to happen. He couldn't imagine going weeks without his best friend, it was selfish, but he needed him.

@Sunyoul ฅᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ When Sunyoul called him Taec Taec, the alpha felt the butterflies residing in his stomach take flight. Already having trouble thinking clearly, hearing Sunyoul's soft voice while he used Taecyeon's nickname was more than the lawyer could endure. Rising to his feet, he swallowed hard before he tried to address the omega's concerns.

"I'm used to working like this, so you really don't need to worry about me, Sunyoul." Taecyeon explained. "I'd tell you if something was wrong, but there are no problems. I'm just busy, that's all."

Taecyeon's voice wavered a little as he lied again, but he would never admit to Sunyoul that he was upset about his interest in another. He was determined to protect Sunyoul's happiness, and if this man was the one who Sunyoul dreamed about, then Taecyeon would not stand in his way. Moving to the side of his desk, he cleared his throat, his tone stronger when he spoke again.

"I hate to end our conversation, but I need to get back to work. I'll be siure to get in touch soon, okay?"

@Ok Taecyeon ฅᵃˡᵖʰᵃ He swallowed hard, his throat tightening and restraining natural movements as his friend settled himself on his desk before Sunyoul. He was nervous for the words that would come out from the alpha, he was afraid of the answer but then once he heard it, his shoulders slumped down with relief.

"I-I'll try not to...but I care about you alot and I know you overwork and when you don't text back...I thought something was wrong, that I did something wrong." At the beginning he stuttered but gradually gain his voice as he rambles off his reasoning for his unexpected visit.

The omega confused when he could get a general idea that the alpha quickly withdrew his hand when it touched his own. The brief contact was enough to make Sunyoul miss affection between the two, wishing he could leap over and give the biggest hug but it would be best not to do so in his office space even if he maybe alone.

"If something is wrong, you will tell me...right Taec Taec?"

@Sunyoul ฅᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ Taecyeon could hear the tremble in Sunyoul's voice, and he knew his actions were hurting the omega. He was torn between protecting his own battered heart vs. safeguarding Sunyoul's equilibrium. Pressing his lips together, dazzled by Sunyoul's soft smile, the lawyer straightened some of the papers on his desk, trying to buy himself a little time so he could think, but his mind had become jumbled the moment Sunyoul had walked into his office. He could straighten papers all day, but he wasn't going to be able to concentrate enough to be able to solve his dilemma.

Sunyoul's questions needed to be answered, though, and eventually Taecyeon rose to his feet, coming around the side of his desk, sitting on the edge of it nearest to the omega. Resting his hands on either side of hips, Taecyeon gripped the desk, his fingers pressing against the wood, his knuckles turning white. Taking a couple of slow breaths, he finally managed to speak again, his voice still amazingly steady.

"You haven't done anything wrong. I - - I've just been so busy, and I haven't had a chance to spend time with you like I would like to. Please don't worry about me, okay? Once I get past this case, my workload should be more manageable. I'm sure I'll be able to find more time to spend with you then."

Taecyeon could feel his face growing hot because he knew he was lying. He wanted to soothe Sunyoul, but he was fully aware he had no intention of spending more time with the omega. He couldn't bare the thought of Sunyoul with someone else, and he was afraid he might do something stupid if he was confronted by the man Sunyoul seemed to be interested in again. Without thinking, he reached out to pat one of Sunyoul's hands, a little jolt of electricity surging up his arm when his fingers met the omega's soft skin, reminding him how strong his attraction was for the younger man. Pulling back his hand as if he'd touched a hot stove, he balled his fingers up tight, resting his fist against his thigh.

"Everything will be fine, Sunyoul. I'm sure of it."

@Ok Taecyeon ฅᵃˡᵖʰᵃ Sunyoul could sense the distance between that was growing, distance he rather not form but it seemed to be out of control. Now his mind was growing new worries, was his friend avoiding him? Did he do something to upset and hurt his friend, that he couldn't confess what Sunyoul did wrong?

The Omega's usual gentle, lovingly eyes drifted down to the floor, focusing on a random wood grain as those eyes become tainted with sadness. What did he do wrong? How hurt is Taecyeon....? He quickly snapped out of it, returning his usual bright contagious expression as he is welcomed inside the office space. "Ah I see...um I hope you aren't overworking yourself over it."

With some hesitation he sat in the chair, the distance only growing more though it was just a desk between them. There was more though and it ate at Sunyoul as he sat there, pretending to not worry about so many things over his friend. Playing with his fingers over his lap, he clears his throat and softly spoke up, "I just...I wanted to check on you. I was worried....and wanted to see if you were okay." He paused and glanced up, eyesight locking on the blurry face, even though things weren't clear, he knew that Taecyeon meant everything to him. "Are you upset at me? D-did I do something wrong?"

His voice began to lose its confidence as it became shaky, Sunyoul was nervous of this types of conversations but it was important to go through no matter how uncomfortable it may be.

@Sunyoul ฅᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ Seeing Sunyoul standing in the doorway took Taecyeon completely by surprise. Mumbling the omega's name, he took a step backwards, struggling to maintain an expressionless look on his face. For a few moments he was frozen in place, but his ingrained politeness kicked in and he waved his arm, beckoning the younger man to enter the room.

"I'm working on a case - - thought I'd get more done when my staff were all gone." Taecyeon was relieved that his voice sounded normal. "What brings you here?"

Wanting to put some distance between himself and the omega, Taecyeon slipped into the leather chair behind his desk, indicating a seat that faced him for Sunyoul to use. Pretending that he had no issues - - that he hadn't been ignoring Sunyoul for over a week, Taecyeon spoke matter-of-factly. "Do you need help?"

@Ok Taecyeon ฅᵃˡᵖʰᵃ Every since that day, were Taecyeon abruptly left Sunyoul's home when they had just started to hang out, it caused the omega to worry about his dear friend. Was there something occuring behind closed doors and that his friend was dealing with all by himself?

It was only natural for him to worry and when a week has passed with no contact, no texts back, Sunyoul couldn't wait any longer. He just wanted to know if he was okay, he didn't want to poke his nose in his business, he just wanted to ease his concerns. So here he was, standing before Taecyeon's door, his nose able to pick up a faint but familiar scent that's trapped in the room ahead of him.

He was nervous about knocking, about intruding Taecyeon's work space or being a distraction. With a deep inhale he knocked on the door lightly, bringing his hand down to meet with the other so that he could fidget away while waiting.

@Sunyoul ฅᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ Taecyeon tried to throw himself into his work, but ever since he'd seen the expression on Sunyoul's face and heard the tone in his voice when he spoke to his friend the other day, it had been nearly impossible to think of anything else. He'd be working on a case, and suddenly the image of the elation on Sunyoul's visage would interrupt his thoughts, and he would lose his focus, staring at nothing, his mind a jumble.

Today was no different. It had been over a week since he'd realized that Sunyoul had feelings for another, and this intrusive conviction had interfered with his work again. Pacing the floor, he knew he had done his best to avoid any contact with the younger man, but absence from the one who meant so much to him only made him want him more. Striding across the room, his hands clasped behind his back, he wondered how much longer he was going to be able to stand the separation when he heard a knock on the door. Taecyeon paused, his brow furrowing as he tried to figure out who might be visiting his office at this hour, his employees long gone home to their dinners. Taking a deep breath, he moved across the room to let the unexpected guest enter, his step firm, his hand reaching for the doorknob, a gasp escaping his lips once he saw who was on the other side of the door.
