@✚ Ten Lee Ever since their pets met, Linong had been bringing Taifei and Meibao over to spend the night too. Since Meibao had especially attracted Ten's attention, she would often squirm her way into his arms for some extra TLC. As Ten roused him again, Linong caught Meibao trying to clamber up the side of the bed in the corner of his eye. He laughed and hugged Ten tightly before nodding and slowly sitting up. "Sure let's go out. What do you want to eat? Something hearty? Or something Western?" He smiled as he d Ten's smooth cheek, "I'll feed you if you arm is too sore, my love."

They washed up and changed to go outside. The weather was just right, with clear skies and just enough sunlight to keep them warm without breaking out into a sweat. The light breeze in the air carried the scent of blooming peach blossoms nearby, which was perfect for a stroll. Holding Ten's hand firmly in his, Linong led them towards the strip mall with many food options. The entire way there, he had a smile on his face. Even something as simple as grabbing breakfast was beautiful to him now, and it was because Ten was right by his side. Never would he have thought that choosing the path to becoming a resident would have opened a new world of happiness for him.

@✚ Chen Linong Obediently, Ten stayed. He s his arm under Linong's and against his waist, reaching behind him to rub Leon, who had made his way behind Linong to chirp and beg for the two to get up and refill his food bowl. "I'm hungry," Ten mumbled after another few minutes of being crushed against Linong. Normally, he would love to stay in bed and continue cuddling with Linong, but for once, Ten felt his stomach hollow out after an exhausting night with Linong. "Breakfast... should we go out?"

@✚ Ten Lee Linong felt that he had come the point in life that anyone who saw him would think that he had it all - and he truly believed that he did. He was acclimating well to his new job with many opportunities to grow every day, and he got to work alongside the person who owned his heart. He and Ten didn't see each other at the hospital every day, but every time they did, it was like a little electric zap to the back of his brain that made his dopamine levels go up. They were like free "pick-me-ups" built randomly into his day. With all the great things going on at work, it wasn't a stretch to say his personal life was going swimmingly as well.

On his days off, he mostly spent it at Ten's apartment. They could go out and have fun or they would stay home and lounge about, each way perfectly enjoyable on its own. Linong loved embracing Ten's figure at night and pulling the older close to tuck under his chin. Those were the nights that he got the best sleep. When Ten shifted against him in the morning, Linong naturally stirred, "Ngh, good morning Ge," he greeted, his eyes still closed as his lips gravitated like magnets to Ten's forehead to kiss him good morning, "Don't move," he slowly drawled, hugging Ten tighter, "Stay...a bit more."

@✚ Chen Linong "Mm," Ten said. "I gotta go. But I'll see you then."

Once, Ten would accept any and all back to back shifts thrown at him just for a little extra money. Now that Linong became such a big part of his life, and thus took up a large chunk of his time, Ten was shameless in working the bare minimum hours just to have more time with his boyfriend, especially when their schedules didn't align well enough throughout the week. He had also discovered the bliss of shutting off his cell to avoid early morning calls when Linong spent the night, always allowing him to wake up naturally in Linong's arms on his days off.

Today was one of those mornings. Ten woke when the crushing weight of one of his cats crawled onto his bare chest. He pushed Leon off, turning so that he could bury his face against Linong's chest again, his cheek pressed to skin. "Hm..." he sighed softly, ignoring the meows that filled the room. "Hnm... I'm awake..."

@✚ Ten Lee Linong's gaze was glued to the back of Ten's head as they headed back inside, affection spelled across his face. "Mm, it's not a bad idea. It's all because you showed me the ropes," he grinned. "If I can continue under your tutelage, it might actually be an option." Since they were in good spirits, Linong pulled Ten's hand before they got to the cafeteria, "So...this Friday...you're off at 3 right? I'm gonna pick you up?"

@✚ Chen Linong Ten had to admit, he was going to miss playing tea party with the kid and Linong. It gave him an excuse to spend more time with Linong during the day, and now Ten would have to look for another victim to start the tea parties up again. Numi gave each of them a hug before his aunt helped him into the car, and Ten waved until the car turned the corner of the hospital. He tucked his hands into his coat pockets, chilled in the cool weather. "Good work, Doctor," he said, turning to head back in. "Another kid out of the hospital. You know, I think you'd do pretty well in paediatrics. I'll put in a good word for you if you ever want a transfer."

@✚ Ten Lee "Of course it's good," Linong said, silently impressed with the way that Ten could handle kids without missing a beat with their emotions. Numi seemed to be slightly cheered up by the idea of seeing Ten again, so Linong offered up a last play for good measure. "How about we play tea partt until your aunt shows up?" The suggestion made Numi's eyes light up and he agreed woth vigorous nods. So, until their lunch time, Linong and Ten were tea party guests sipping tea and playing pretend. Numi's aunt eventually came to pick him up, and they discharged him together, waving good bye to the first patient that they had rescued together.

@✚ Chen Linong "Is it good?" Numi asked in a small voice, his chubby fingers up the sheets covering his legs. "But that means I won't get to see Doctor geges again." He visibly deflated at the thought, and Ten laughed at the adorable pout on the child's thick lips. He reached into his coat pocket, pulling out a sticker at random and slapping it over Numi's bandage on his arm. "Xiao Numi, don't be sad. I'll tell you aunt she has to bring you back for regular check ups, so I can keep an eye on those injuries. How does that sound?"

@✚ Ten Lee "If I ever want to get on your level, how can I take it easy?" was all Linong had to say in response to Ten. His mentor was kind to him, and had full of information to share, so it was all up to Linong's hard work to fill in the rest of the gaps. He smiled at Ten's sweet gesture, heading down the hallway to the elevators. "Oh that is good news!" he said, pressing the elevator button for Ten. "Poor kid needs some stability in his life." He smiled again, holding Ten's hand as they stepped into the elevator, "Like I have you."

When they arrived at Numi's rehab ward, the young boy brightened up and called their names, clearly having his vigor and energy back. "Hi buddy, how ya been? I heard the good news," Linong greeted him, giving him a pat on the head.

@✚ Chen Linong "Ridiculous," Ten huffed. "You are good enough. You're new, don't be so hard on yourself. And if Yixing ge is hard on you, you come tell me right away, okay?" When they broke apart, Ten ran his hand through Linong's hair, loosening it up after it had been pressed flat by the surgical cap he was wearing. "Of course," he said, grinning at the mention of Numi. "Actually, I have good news. He's doing well, and I signed off on his discharge for tomorrow. He finally gets to go. His aunt is going to foster him. "

@✚ Ten Lee Ten's comforting words were just what Linong needed, and like putty, he melted against Ten's gentle . "I guess I just wanted to make sure that you don't think I'm good enough for you," Linong murmured, smiling at Ten's affirmation, "But thank you Ge. I feel better now." That heaving discomfort he felt in his stomach began to ebb away and Linong could focus on Ten in front of him. They were still on duty, so they couldn't exactly just head off together. Instead, he suggested carefully, "Want to go see our friend Numi together?"

@✚ Chen Linong All this time Ten thought Linong was upset at him, it was because Linong was afraid to mess up in front of him. The mere idea of it brought a smile to Ten’s face, and he tightened his arms around Linong to return his embrace. “That’s right, it is silly,” Ten said, running his hand up and down Linong’s back. “You did well, I don’t lnow what you’re afraid of. You listen to instructions, you didn’t drop anything inside the patient’s body cavity. What more could I ask for?” Ten pulled back so he could press a kiss to Linong’s cheek, open with his affection with no one else in the office. “I’m proud of you. You know that?”

@✚ Ten Lee Linong had worked with Ten when he first started out, but their relationship had since evolved. One would assume that he'd feel more at ease with their boyfriend working side by side on a major surgery, but instead Linong just felt more pressure. Ten was an experienced surgeon with waves upon waves of experience while Linong was barely grazing the water top with his own. While standing across from Ten in the operating room, his mind was fighting with itself, first trying to make sure he did the correct steps that Ten called out, and handed over the correct tools promptly. Then, he was worrying whether or not his hands were steady enough when his boyfriend was /literally/ standing in front of him. The blood that gushed out of the patient's appendix startled him more than usual, and Linong could only murmur or grunt in response to whatever Ten shared with him, his brows scrunched together. The surgery lasted for about an hour, and by the end of it, Linong was sweating. As they excited the operating room, Linong found that he was shaking. Ten had not given him a chance to collect himself, and had already caught on. Linong sighed as he removed his mask and stared at Ten's smaller frame standing across from him. He leaned in and pulled Ten into a hug, exhaling deeply as he inhaled his boyfriend's warm scent. "I was nervous...to do poorly in front of you. Haha...so silly right Ge? I couldn't help it..."

@✚ Chen Linong Ten had never seen Linong in the operating room without Yixing, so when he was called down for an emergency appendectomy on a teen who had just been brought in by the ambulance, he had to pause to do a double take, shooting a smirk at his boyfriend before he pulled on his mask. The surgery was routine for Ten, and he talked with Linong about random things that he wanted to share with him throughout the week, but the young boy was tense in his responses. Ten worried as he excised their patient's appendix, only one thought in his mind as he went through the procedure. Had he done something to upset Linong? As soon as they stitched up the young girl and degowned, Ten confronted Linong. "Hey. Are you okay?"

@✚ Ten Lee Satisfied with his petty payback, Linong went to rinse out the cloth in the bathroom. He hung it up and went to join Ten again. It was a perfect date, he thought to himself as they curled up on the couch. He chuckled as he held Ten and squeezed Leon in the middle. "I love you too baby," he murmured softly, pressing his forehead against the older again.

Their stay-at-home date was just a sliver of their happy moments together. Every chance they had, Linong and Ten would go out on dates and relish in each other's presence. It was one of the only things keeping Linong sane from his busy schedule. Life at work seemed to become more intense as the days went by, and Linong began to take on more duties independently. Yixing had been teaching him, but on a particular day when his mentor was out, an emergency surgery was announced, so Linong soon found himself scrubbing down, right beside none other than the head surgeon himself, Ten.

@✚ Chen Linong Ten winced, and he wasn't able to hold back a pained whine when Linong dug his fingers into him again, his fingers knocking against the bruised, painful spots. "Come lie down with us," Ten said once Linong finished, sitting up to pull the throw blanket off the end of the couch and spreading it over his waist. Leon served as a very effective heat pack for Ten's upper half, so he laid himself out in a carefree way while waiting for Linong. When Linong finally laid back down with him, Ten turned until Leon was sandwiched between them. He kissed Linong, his heart swelling with overwhelming affection for the younger. "I love you," he mumbled, his eyes fluttering in his exhausted state.

@✚ Ten Lee Linong didn't want to startle Ten with cold water, so he let the faucet run for a while until the water temperature heated up. Wetting a towel and wringing it, he brought it out to Ten on the couch. To his surprise, Ten's arms were already on /somebody/ else. "Hands off my boyfriend," Linong teasingly shooed at Leon, who looked like he couldn't be more bothered. "Fine, just until I finish cleaning." Spreading Ten's , Lining wiped at the creamy release that had dribbled down his inner thighs. Leon daringly stepped up to Ten once Linong left, and Ten welcomed him against his chest, hugging the bundle of warmth against his cool skin. He was in such high spirits after a satisfying from Linong that he didn't even mind Leon scratching at his chest. When Linong returned, Ten grinned from where he was lying, showing off Leon. "Someone stole your spot while you were away. Shouldn't have left if you wanted to keep it."

@✚ Ten Lee "Maybe I am just a little...because of you," Linong agreed, pressing hand lightly over Ten's head when the older voluntarily rested there first. He smiled, feeling the chill air hanging above their sweaty bodies. Ten's frame was slightly shaking as he tried to catch his breath, which Linong found to be yet another cute trait about Ten. They laid there for another few moments, then Linong gently rubbed Ten's head, "Let me up baby. I want to clean you out so you don't get a stomachache." Even if they were off duty now, Linong didn't want to be an irresponsible healthcare expert.

@✚ Chen Linong Every nerve on and inside of Ten was extremely high strung, allowing him to be hyperaware of Linong's release filling him up. softly, Ten crawled into Linong's arms, tucking his head beneath Linong's chin and resting over Linong's damp, hot chest. "Excuses," he murmured, dizzy from the euphoria of Linong having his way with him. The scent of musk filled the small apartment, unsettling their pets, while Ten relished it. The cries for mercy were only making him even more aroused. He continued to until he felt his release spill out of him and he groaned lowly as he shot his load inside of Ten. The squelching noises that came from their connected bodies were a sign of just how much Ten had managed to draw from Linong, and soon, he pulled out, gathering Ten into his arms to kiss and hug again. "I'm done baby, all done." Linong promised, stroking Ten's side, "No more hurting okay?" he smiled and kissed Ten's lips again, "You're just...too beautiful I couldn't help myself."

Even though Linong slowed, Ten's hit him like a truck, and he released all over Linong's hands and stomach despite the attempts Linong made to stop him. Ten's head spun, and he let it drop back down as he rode out his with Linong still ing into him. When everything became too much for him to bear, he closed his eyes, as much as he wanted to see Linong's handsome face, his moans becoming weak whines. "Nongnong, enough, stop playing around..."
