Tsinghua University's first legacy acceptance, debt-ridden Wang Yibo, meets campus heartthrob and sugar gege Xiao Zhan. Literally what could go wrong in this unfolding story of cliches and young love?

Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege "I love you, Gege," Yibo breathily answered Zhan on the day that he was proposed to.

"I love you, Gege," Yibo said again, with a louder voice and a face free from tears as he stood before Zhan at the end of the aisle on the day of their wedding.

"Your mind is in the gutter!" Yibo uttered as he and Zhan were walking down the streets on their weekly Saturday date night. Nobody around them probably would've figured out that there was a reason behind this proclamation. In fact, Zhan had passed by an unassuming donut shop, and had caved to Yibo's intrigue in street foods, indulging the both of them in the box of 15 mini donuts in three different flavors. Yibo was absolutely appalled to learn the actual /name/ of the donut shop when he opened the box lid to a bold red sign that red 'Sugar Daddy', to which Zhan had claimed that this was the perfect box of desserts for Yibo.

As much as the older did , the donuts themselves were warm and pillowy soft, which were worth every word of teasing that he got. The simplicity of sharing with his husband was also a luxury that Yibo never got bored of each time either. Though Zhan was an important man running his own company and Yibo had also landed himself a job as a case worker for clients with mental health needs, they had never once let it get to their heads and take over the importance of spending time with each other. Zhan never stopped reminding Yibo about how much he wished Yibo could just stay by his side every moment of their days, which only made the time that they did put aside specifically for each other that much more special.

Their date ended off on a high note, and they still had time that night for a little bedroom fun before a new day began again. As Yibo dozed off to sleep that night, his body light as his heart full, he tucked his body against Zhan's warm, firm chest and muttered, "I love you, Gege."

@Sour Didi The ring was a perfect fit on Yibo's finger, shining a bright silver beneath the midday sun. The crowd cheered with Yibo's 'yes', and the cheers grew even louder as Zhan pulled Yibo into a second kiss, petals littering the ground as they crushed the flowers between them again. When he pulled away, he brushed his fingers beneath Yibo's eyes, wiping at the tears that had already spilled over his cheeks. "Yes, the rest of our lives," Zhan agreed, laughing at how flushed Yibo's cheeks had already gotten. His Yibo was so humble and kind, and he never failed to move Zhan's heart like so. "Baby, don't cry. I love you so much."
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege Yibo's cheeks were already feeling numb. It was a feeling that he couldn't describe, but if he had to try, then maybe it was like his heart wanted to explode out of his chest while his knees were threatening to knock together and give out on him at any moment? He could hardly keep himself upright as Zhan proposed, laughing again in disbelief as his boyfriend took his words so seriously. Well, Zhan was right. Yibo had graduated now. Zhan had waited the amount of time that he had expected to. Yibo was silent for a moment, the smile still spread across his face. He had to swallow his jitters and make sure that his voice didn't come out as a croak when he responded. "Yes, Gege, I will!" he finally exclaimed, leaping forward into Zhan's arms to press a kiss on Zhan's warm lips, connecting them for the first time in their engagement. The tears finally fell after he successfully got his answer across, and Yibo couldn't help but radiate as Zhan slid the engagement band over his finger. "The rest of our lives," Yibo agreed, helping his fiancee stand up.

@Sour Didi Before Zhan could get a word in, Yibo was already crying. He reached out with his free hand to grasp at Yibo's, grounding him in his spot. "Wang Yibo," he said without a waver in his voice. He wasn't nervous, thank goodness — there was no doubt in his mind that Yibo would say yes. With the crowd of people that had gathered, Zhan kept it short, not wanting it to be too drawn out. Yibo was already getting misty-eyed but Zhan had practiced this simple question enough times that he could remain composed enough for his proposal. "You told me before that you wouldn't marry me until you graduated. I'm not wasting a single second, so now that you've walked the stage, I'll ask now. I want you to spend the rest of your life with me. Will you marry me?"
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege After Yibo learned to move on from the mindset of having to constantly count his coins to budget for his next loan payment, he could say that life got better. Having college courses that piled workload upon him as he took more and more advanced courses certainly didn't make life much /easier/ per se, but having Zhan by his side did make everything seem manageable in perspective. Yibo had moved in completely with Zhan, abandoning the small flat that he rented from before. It was like he had turned a new leaf, and could enjoy the luxuries that he'd never imagined before. Zhan's work life did get busy, since he had easily proven how he was the ideal candidate to take over the executive director's position in his father's company, but Yibo never once felt that the older broke his promise to give Yibo all his available love and attention. There were instances when Zhan even made time for the two of them to be together, reliving their happy and carefree days. Time passed by just the same as before - quickly, and Yibo soon was moving on from being a college student with a part-time job to a graduate who was going to have his own career very soon.

As he walked the stage and received his diploma book, he tried to glimpse the crowd for Zhan. There were too many people, but Yibo knew and /felt/ Zhan's warm gaze on him, even if he couldn't see it for himself. Taking a turn left when he got off the stairs, he made his way towards the lawn, where families would reunite with their graduates for pictures and celebrations. "Hi Gege!" Yibo cheered, remembering very well when he and Zhan had been in this same spot, only with the opposite position. Zhan looked so dashing in his graduation gown that Yibo had made him put it on a few more times at home so he could gawk to his heart's content. Throwing his arms around the older, he grinned widely as he crushed the gifts between them. "I'm finally done!" he cheered, backing down and nodding, agreeing to the pictures.

They would put his graduation pictures next to Zhan's graduation pictures in the living room - it'd make for a nice touch to the overall aesthetic, Yibo figured. Posing and giving his best smile, Yibo waited for the photographer to snap the photos before he straightened up again. "Mm, I guess a few of my own won't hurt," he said, fixing his tassle and turning back to the photographer, who seemed so fixated on taking pictures for him only. That was the beauty of having the most influential men as his boyfriend, Yibo figured.

At first, the murmurs from the crowd were negligible, but Yibo started to feel a little uncomfortable when he noticed the stares in his direction. Was there something on him? The photographer seemed unbothered though, and asked for him to turn. A little unsettled, Yibo did as he was asked, only to jump back in surprise when he saw Zhan on one knee before him. "WHAT IS THIS?" he shouted, clutching his flowers and teddy bear in utter shock, looking at the box in Zhan's hands. Yibo's eyes began to water, though his laugh didn't suggest anything but shock and happiness, "GEGE, WHAT IS THIS?" he cried out, unbelieving that this was happening to him.

@Sour Didi It the blink of an eye, Yibo was already graduating with his Bachelor's degree. Zhan had to be honest — deep down, despite his vocal encouragement to Yibo, maybe he had a tiny bit of doubt. But that didn't matter now! Amongst a sea of parents and siblings, Zhan watched Yibo walk across the stage, his chest swelling with pride. They had come a long way, and with each passing day, Zhan only became more and more certain of wanting Yibo by his side. Yibo was perfect, and he was more than anything Zhan could have ever asked for.

Having the professional photographer he hired to pose as the school's photographer, milling about until it was time, Zhan found Yibo on the lawn after the ceremony. He closed their distance with a hug, presenting the bouquet of pastel flowers and typical bear plush decorated in grad regalia to the younger. "There's my baby boy," he cooed, crushing Yibo between his arms. "Congratulations! Let's take a picture-" Beckoning to the 'school photographer' (as if even Zhan had power over that), they posed for a couple of regular shots at first, before Zhan suggested Yibo take a couple on his own.

While Yibo was posing for his own, Zhan pretended to get out of the shot, circling back to position himself behind Yibo. The simple band he'd purchased was tucked safely in his jacket pocket, and he flipped the box open as he knelt on one knee, easily drawing attention and hushed murmurs from the crowd as eyes began to turn toward them. Once the photographer got himself into place as well, he asked Yibo to turn around for a photo from a different angle, and the crowd's tittering grew even louder.

@Sugar Gege Yibo forgot that first class seats could recline all the way, and he yelped happily as Zhan pulled him downwards. "Then let's go everywhere together," he agreed with Zhan, sliding an arm across Zhan's chest. It was a gentle gesture, one that didn't insinuate anything more. Obviously he still loved to get down and dirty whenever the chance arose, but Yibo also liked such simple pleasures as laying down besides each other while staring into each other's eyes too. "When we go back, we'll both get busy...so I'm gonna remember this moment we have together right now," Yibo murmured, snuggling in close to Zhan. They still had the entire flight to go, and Yibo intended to make the most of his time with Zhan until they stepped foot back in their home country.
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi Zhan could recline the seat until it was lying completely flat if he wanted to be comfortable, but he didn't want to ruin Yibo's romantic gesture, so he stayed put, resting against his pillow. "No, I'll go where you want to go," Zhan said, a little baffled that Yibo had become so... Well, no. He had always been like that — little gestures or words that showed Zhan how much Yibo had his best interests in mind. Zhan had been everywhere, could go anywhere, and he wanted to let Yibo choose where he wanted to go, but here Yibo was, happy to just be by Zhan's side. Zhan tried not to let the stuffiness in his chest get to him. He still wasn't accustomed to it, but it undoubtedly told Zhan he had made the right choice in pursuing Yibo. He rolled onto his side, pulling Yibo closer to him. "I like being with /you/ for all of it."
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege In the blink of an eye, their finals had come and gone...and so did their vacation. Yibo had never travelled outside of the country before, so to go across the world to one of the most iconic destination spots on his first time? It was absolutely thrilling. He became even more impressed with how Zhan could speak the local languages there, acting as a translator for Yibo whenever they went somewhere touristy. Yibo only had to focus on enjoying the food, scenic views, and receiving all of Zhan's undivided attention.

The trip passed by before they even knew it, and when they were on the plane, Yibo reached for the pillow he stowed in his backpack so he could tuck it behind Zhan's neck. "That'll be more comfortable for you, Gege," he muttered, though he himself felt very privileged to be flying first class like this. Yibo was eager to go anywhere else for their next vacation, since their first one together had been so successful. "I trust you. Wherever you want to go, I do too. I just like that I'm able to be with you for all of it." he said, reaching over the seat to take Zhan's hand.
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi True to his word, Zhan spent the rest of the day attending to Yibo's needs rather than study. By some miracle, he finished his finals while maintaining his perfect score, and he was able to take Yibo on their trip without any other worry nagging at the back of his mind. Since he was expected to start picking up more work after his graduation, Zhan could only arrange for three weeks in Hawaii. Despite the tight timeline, they managed to visit four of the major islands and still have quite a bit of downtime to themselves. It was a sweet and memorable first trip together, and Zhan was already planning the next while on the jet back home. "How about a cruise next time?" he suggested, despite the twenty other countries he had already named since the plane took off. "Oh! Or an Antarctic tour. To see penguins."
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege Inside the car, Yibo was pretty keen on getting into Zhan's pants right then and there, so he had yet to buckle. He used to be so held up by the thought that someone might pass by their car and see them, and he would still probably be, if he didn't know that Zhan's windows were expertly tinted. When Zhan's thumb pressed over his lips, Yibo's natural instinct told him to open up and accept it, but instead, his jaw was held closed. "Hng," he whined from the back of his throat, his eyes widened as he inevitably gave a small nod. He knew that was meant to be a menacing threat...but now he was having a hard time controling what was happening in his pants too!
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi Yibo had managed to get Zhan away from studying earlier, but if Zhan gave in now and let Yibo him off in the car, they'd never make it home. "You want to know what we're going to do now?" he asked, reaching over to press his thumb against Yibo's lips, his fingers curling beneath Yibo's chin, effectively shutting the younger up. "You're going to be quiet so I can take us home, then you can scream and cry all you want while I rail you. Are we clear on that?"
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege Zhan was playing right into Yibo's hand, and in such an enamoring way too. He pretended to pout, tugging his wrist away from Zhan (without any intent on succeeding) as he mumbled, "But it's not my fault you look at your laptop screen more than you look at me." There was truth in this statement, but Yibo knew better than to focus on it. He'd much rather get some attention from Zhan using his own means. They eventually made it to the car, and Yibo noted Zhan's hard-on, "Are you sure you can drive Ge? That looks so painful to hold in."
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi Did Yibo really need to ask? Zhan stopped them in their path, his hand tight around Yibo's wrist. Despite how they were standing in the middle of the cobblestone walkway, people simply walked around them like river water divided by a rock. "Are you pretending you don't know?" Zhan's face was close enough to Yibo's that he could speak lowly, and the younger would still be able to hear his every word. "I'm going to take you home so I can you till you regret starting anything with me today, you got that?"
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege Yibo thought that Zhan has developed some kind of resistance towards him these days, since they were always together. He was cautious about celebrating too early when Zhan finally decided that it was time to leave, so he bided his time while sliding all his materials back into his backpack. "Where are we going Ge?" he asked, falling in step behind Zhan as they walked back in the direction of their car. Zhan looked irritated, which should've normally concerned Yibo, but perhaps he had just been so starved for attention by his boyfriend (really, it was excruciating) that even this sign looked promising to him.
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi Zhan didn't have a /foot /. But he didn't know how else to explain his arousal in his pants just from Yibo rubbing his foot all over his dark pants, which were now a little dusty from Yibo's shoe. "You've got a shoe for that," Zhan snapped back, almost irritably. What exactly was Yibo's plan here? To tease Zhan and then blue ball him like this, knowing Zhan couldn't do anything to him in public? Zhan tried to continue working, but his pants were stretched too tight over his crotch. Slamming the lid of his laptop shut, he sighed, heavy and resigned. "Pack up."
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege Yibo had long given up on looking at his laptop screen. While he did enjoy being outside and having the open air around them, he'd much rather have Zhan's attention completely on him. "But it's comfy here," Yibo argued back with Zhan, even adding his other leg in the process by rubbing it against Zhan's other ankle, "I'm just keeping myself warm Gege, isn't that what you said you'd do for me? You're gonna keep me safe and protected?" Yibo did eventually remove his foot so that he wouldn't make Zhan explode on him, but it only came /after/ he confirmed that Zhan was now sporting an because of him.
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi 'Hard'? Where did Yibo pick up these bad habits? His exhale was rough in his attempt to keep himself composed, but his fingers were no longer typing comprehensible words into his paper — it was mostly gibberish, to keep up a ruse of working so that Yibo would not think he held /that/ much power over Zhan. "What do you think you're doing...?" he muttered, lifting his gaze again to meet Yibo's infuriatingly innocent ones. "Put your foot back down on the ground."
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege Yibo couldn't believe his eyes. Zhan was actually trying to resist him still. When they first met, had Zhan not been the one who wanted them to like jackrabbits? Here he was now trying to act all innocent while Yibo was having a hard time on his own again? Yibo didn't take lightly to that thought, and persisted on rubbing his foot against Zhan's clothed manhood. "Gege," he purred from across the table, "Is your paper very hard? Why are you frowning like that?"
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi Before Zhan could give off a list of offences from Yibo about studying in the past week alone, he felt pressure against his inner thigh. His lips were parted to speak but no words left his lips, not even to scold Yibo and demand what exactly did he think he was doing in public. Instead, stiffly, Zhan turned his gaze back to his computer. They /really/ shouldn't, even if they were at a cafe near the campus and most people who frequented the area wouldn't even look twice if they saw a sight like this. This was just spoiling Yibo. Zhan only acknowledged it with a grunt, but otherwise, he continued tapping away at his final paper, refusing to give in yet again.
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege Zhan was such a worrywart. How did he think Yibo had been getting by all this time before they met? Obviously he had to find jobs that suited him on his own (not that he could afford to be picky about his employment before). Yibo sighed as he relented, "We'll look at the options together, and you can help me choose the one with the best schedule, okay?" He shook his head, reaching for his coffee to sip idly at it again, "You're such a worrywart." Zhan had distracted him for a moment, but Yibo quickly remembered what his objective was, as he pressed his foot forward and rested it against Zhan's pelvis, "I do study, Gege, and I'm doing fine since I was able to catch up on my assignments for this term."
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi Zhan supposed Yibo was right. As much as Zhan would be bored without Yibo around, Yibo would be bored while Zhan was busy too. "Fine... but let me screen which ones offer you an interview before you go," he tried to insist on a compromise. Before Yibo could accuse Zhan of anything again, he hurried to add, "And I'm not going to buy them out or anything! I just want to make sure they're a fair company, that's all." Despite conceding, Zhan still felt quite upset at the prospect of having to let Yibo go, instead of having the younger just wait for him at home. "You know, if you're going to be that free while I work, you should use that time to study at home instead."
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege Yibo tsked when Zhan let his old habits take over again. "We've talked about this already! I need a job for when you're working too. I won't be in classes for eight hours a day, you know? And no, I'm not wearing that maid outfit ever again. You never even let me do my job properly!" Yibo exclaimed with a raised brow, "And just because you're inheriting your father's company and have flexible hours doesn't mean you can slack off right when you start. Your employees won't respect your otherwise." Yibo jutted his lower lip out, applying more pressure against Zhan's hand with his foot, "I'm not misbehaving though, you're just so sensitive Gege. I told you I won't work long hours like I used to. Just minimal part-time worker hours. Okay? Don't glare at me...and I'll reward you," Yibo said, seeing how insistent Zhan looked.
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi Despite the intensity and obviousness of Yibo's teasing now, Zhan forgot it all the moment Yibo mentioned /working/ again. "How many times do I have to tell you? You're not going to work anywhere unless it's to be a maid at my place." Ever since that time, Yibo hadn't put that costume on again, which was a downright shame. Zhan reached out, using his hand to block Yibo's leg from going any higher just yet. "Promise me you aren't actually going to apply," Zhan insisted. If Yibo had to /work/, then Zhan was just going to lose out on time with his boyfriend. "Then I'll let you misbehave all you want. I don't want you working."
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege “Don’t make me tell you to behave again.”

Yibo looked up from his laptop, a look of absolute innocence on his face. If he had been the same Yibo that Zhan met when they first went on the blind date to become contractual lovers, Yibo probably would've gotten away with his act. He had always been the straightforward type, but when it came to Zhan, he had discovered a playful side to himself. "What are you talking about, Gege?" he persisted anyways, his leg extending underneath the short table, breaking the contact. Kicking his shoe off his foot, Yibo's foot brushed against Zhan's inner thigh, "I'm behaving really well," he said with a straight face, squinting on his laptop screen, "Just reading the job qualifications to make sure these places will want to hire me...it's been a while since I got back into the working game, y'know?" As he said this, his leg dragged against Zhan's thigh and down his calves, wanting to all without touching his special private area.
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi Yibo was well-behaved for as much as a quarter of an hour, until Zhan felt a nudge against his ankle. He didn’t react at first, figuring it was Yibo getting antsy from sitting still for ‘so long’. He continued to go between his laptop and the notes on his tablet, until he felt Yibo’s ankle press against his again. The pressure this time felt much more deliberate. Zhan glanced up at his boyfriend, an inquisitive eyebrow arched. He knew /exactly/ what Yibo wanted — they had just talked about this, for goodness sake, and Yibo was still doing it. Besides, where did Yibo learn to play /footsie/? Not only play footsie, but to play coy while he rubbed his ankle against Zhan’s. “Babe,” he warned, his voice low and stern. “Don’t make me tell you to behave again.”
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege "I'm not," Yibo argued back, his banter having increased much more with Zhan as they spent more time together, "I'm just giving you an energy boost to make sure you don't get bored of your studies," he hummed. Yibo did say that he was going to use this time to find a job, but he had already sent in quite a few applications. All that was left to do was check the application status online and wait idly for a call. Yelping and reaching for his drink when Zhan stole a sip, Yibo pouted, "Thief! Hand yours over, lemme try," he demanded in exchange, sipping Zhan's latte. It was full of cinnamon, or some kind of spice, so he set it back down. "Hm, it's alright," he said, watching as Zhan got started on his laptop.

Yibo let Zhan work. For a solid fifteen minutes. He was being rather generous and controlled, as he only stared at his boyfriend instead of actually doing anything. There weren't too many people walking by them, so he'd occasionally let his eyes wander when someone walking a dog passed by, but other than that, he was getting more used to openly admiring Zhan's dashing face. Without thinking much of it, Yibo's foot slightly brushed against Zhan's leg under the table. It could be seen as an accident almost, as his eyes focused in on his own laptop screen, and he didn't even look up for Zhan's reaction. A few moments later, he brushed again, only this time, it lingered just a little bit longer.
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi “Me? Who’s the one who keeps trying to disturb my studying?” Setting his chai latte down over their table, Zhan began to set up his laptop and textbook, as if to show Yibo he meant business. “It’s just a little longer, babe. And then we’re on vacation for the whole summer. You can’t wait a couple more weeks?” Rather than pick up his own drink first, Zhan grinned as he reached for Yibo’s, knowing it would get a rise out of the younger, as always. The drink was sweet despite the ice. “Come on, get started. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can leave.”
Sour Didi [A] 1 year ago
@Sugar Gege Ever since Yibo asked Zhan to accompany him on 'regular couple' dates, he had to admit that his boyfriend was doing a really good job at keeping his word. They would still go to their fancy restaurants at Zhan's discretion, but then there were days like this when Zhan would take Yibo out to a nice part of town and they'd take walks and study together. Yibo said 'study', but he really didn't have any intentions of doing so. He had already finished his finals, and he was solely focused on getting into Zhan's pants these days (as he so unashamedly admitted to). "Yeah, I know," Yibo mumbled, pouting at Zhan when they finally ordered their drinks and found a table to study at outside. "You're the one doing the funny business anyways," he retorted, "Don't worry about me."
Sugar Gege [A] 1 year ago
@Sour Didi As the end of the school year approached, so did the finals. Despite Yibo’s attempts to distract him, purposefully or not, Zhan managed to evade most of them. Although he was in his final semester, he still had to finish strong. Skillfully, he managed to hold Yibo off from pouncing on him every time they met so that he could get some studying done. Eventually, Yibo got the hint — or so Zhan thought. Yibo had suggested a study date in a walkable district, with a few outdoor cafes. Zhan agreed, but as they were walking up toward a table, Zhan reminded Yibo, quite sternly, “No funny business today.”
