✦ Where are we?
To give a TLDR, the world of Aetherion is set in a train station-like world that has portals to each of the worlds in the multiverse. For those who haven't seen the movie Wreck-it-Ralph or those who need more of a visual of what the world of Aetherion looks like, that's the basic gist of the setting. If you would like, here is a clip from the movie Wreck-It-Ralph that shows different video game characters in a similar setup and situation.
✦ How does world travel work and how often?
So, for now, world travel will function something like a group field trip through the portals to a specific world and everyone will be there for a month. During this time, the horizon locations and the general place locations will be locked to encourage event participation. If people seem to like the world that we visit that particular month, we'll add it to our list of locations permanently.
✦ Can we still have our powers/memories?
Ultimately, we believe that this is a decision we will leave up to the authors here. If you want your muse to keep their memories but lose their powers, or vice versa, that's fine! If you want them to have both or neither, that's also fine! Feel free to be creative and write your character how you wish! We just ask that you abide by our rules and regulations.
✦ How come we can't just go back to our worlds?
Because what's the fun in that! We want people to have a sense of adventure and have a little fun before they go back to their homeworld and will try to pick worlds that no one belongs to before getting to the jucier places aka worlds where characters belong.
✦ What do we do to earn our right back home?
Long story short: they'll have to earn WORLD CREDITS in order to get back to their home world. To do that, you'll need to participate in world travel events when they occur. If you want your character to get back home sooner rather than later, we suggest participating in each one and completing all the event tasks when they're announced.
✦ What is Yonderland?
To give a TLDR, YONDERLAND is the vast world unexplored by most people in AETHERION. It is considered uncharted territory and hardly ever do people who attempt to explore it come back. Currently, newly summoned individuals and even people who have been here for a while are prohibited from going too far near the safety of the border. YONDERLAND is off limits to everyone regardless of status.
