Most of the time, itto did little more than scavenge for his food. Just taking whatever he sees fit, and it doesn’t matter from who, either; that was the way of a wanderer like him.
But… there was a switch today. Itto felt sentimental as he wandered around the farmers market of this town, smiling at all the beautifully bright fruit, some familiar some not. He grabbed a red orb labeled “pomegranate” and threw a few coins to the woman, who smiled brightly. Damn… did he just overpay?

Only if he could find blackberries.. then he’d have everything he needed to make the holiday feast!
