@kim hyeyoon. It wasn't often that Seonghwa had went to the library to further his studies, but when he felt like he ran out of all other options, it was his next place of refuge. Having spent too many hours at the hospital to know that he would be bothered for something at some point. In his line of work there was constant research to be done, and he was determined to be known the best in his field. A task that simply couldn't be done well if he simply allowed some time to relax.
Sure he was being hounded for it by his peers, and often told he was too uptight, and too focused on his work. While his co-workers enjoyed their days off by going to parties, barbeques or other social events of the like, Seonghwa could always find himself holed up in his office studying. Today, the only difference was the library, where he had hoped to find some peace and quiet. That was quickly set off by a lot of chatter and noise coming from one person, who the doctor knew should have known better.
Letting out a shaky exhale through his nose, Seonghwa did his best to ignore the noisy librarian but with each laugh she held, and getting the patrons to be just as noisy with her, it seemed near impossible. Setting down his pencil, he laid his head in his hands, scruffing his hair lightly in frustration, before the last exclamation left the librarians lips a bit too loud. Smoothing his hair over, he shot a glare in her direction. Standing up from his seat, he trudged his way over there, trying to calm himself not to come off too harshly despite his opinions.
"Excuse me... ma'am?" He cleared his throat when he approached. "Do you mind? Some people are actually trying to focus here.."
@park seonghwa. [H] to kim hyeyoon, the library was more than a study spot or a book haven. it was a place to fall in love with reading and bond with fellow bookworms. she adored seeing a child’s face light up over a new book or a group of students cheering each other on as they finished a project.
so, she never had the heart to shush anyone. honestly, she was often the loudest one there. her mom always said she needed to work on her "indoor voice."
today was no different. hyeyoon couldn't hold back her laughter while chatting with her one of favorite library patrons, a sweet ahjumma who had a penchant for romantic fantasy novels. the older woman complained that hyeyoon's recent book picks weren't "spicy" enough, likening them to mild green peppers. with a snort, hyeyoon handed her a new stack. "try these! i promise they're spicier than a bowl of buldak!" she teased, sending her a mischievous wink. the ahjumma rolled her eyes playfully and left, muttering that the male leads better have her blushing and twirling her hair.
hyeyoon chuckled, shaking her head. "what a character! days like this at the library are the best!" she exclaimed, catching the attention of several patrons. most were used to her boisterousness, affectionately calling her the "loud librarian," though one person clearly wasn't amused, judging by the glare he sent her way.
