THE TOWN MAYOR'S DOG
MISSINg!
Mayor's Dog has been Kidnapped -- AGAIN!
For the third time in a row, Mayor Cho Miyeon’s beloved pooch, named ‘Sherry’ has been dog-napped on a regular occurrence now. It started when Mayor Miyeon adopted the beagle as a puppy. Sherry was taken for two weeks at a time only to return with a bow tie and a small bag of home-made dog biscuits. While Miyeon was relieved that the dog was not harmed, she stressed that Sherry lives with her and has, “a warm bed, blanket and lots of squeaky toys.”
That first dog-napping of Sherry happened several months ago. Since then, there has been one dog-napping in the Summer of which Sherry returned home happy and had seemed to gain a bit of weight. This time, Sherry has been taken again – for the third time. When asked why the dog-napping has become so frequent, Mayor Miyeon sighed and shook her head. “I believe it’s not the fault of the supposed dog-napper, but the fact that Sherry will willingly go with anyone who has food on hand. If you have a piece of bread or even a little meat from a sandwich, she will stick close to you unless you physically ignore her – which most people can’t.”
Mayor Miyeon was then questioned again and asked why she allows her dog to roam freely, especially since this has been the third dog-napping in several months. Mayor Miyeon declined to answer that question but did have a message to the kidnapper: “Please return Sherry. She’s cute and all, but I still pay the vet bills.”
Sparks Fly In Wineport -- Literally.
With Wineports ever growing population, the fire department has expanded with building another fire station just across town. Of course, with every fire station comes with it’s hard working firefighters. Men and women put their lives on the line to save people in need whether it’s from a blazing inferno or to every day needs like volunteering for the homeless, assisting the elderly and more.
Luckily (or not so luckily), the firefighters that joined the newly opened fire station appear to be quite handsome. So handsome in fact, that it has started to become a concern among other citizens and firefighters on the growing cases of arson throughout town.
“You know, you never expect certain people to go so far into becoming arsonists because of how apparently handsome we are.” Says one firefighter who asks to be anonymous. “We do our job and we do it seriously. Arson is a serious crime and a dangerous, deadly ordeal. You never know who might get hurt or what you might lose. Fires can sometimes be so out of control, it’s out of our hands.” He adds.
The fire department chief also spoke to us and asks that, “People who commit Arson need help and they need it fast. If you want to meet any of our firefighters, please join us at one of the many volunteer events we hold. But please, for the love of all things great, don’t set buildings on fire -- that’s a crime. And it’s a serious one.”
Small Town, Big Growth: Wineport Expands!

Starry Sightings
People from all walks of life find their way to the small, peaceful town of Wineport. Whether you're a student abroad staying at the cozy cottage inn for a semester or two, or simply in need of a breath of fresh air away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, Wineport has something to offer. To the surprise of a few, there have even been reports of some low-key superstars living among us! Faces familiar to many, stars of the stage, and kings and queens of the silver screen.
One can’t help but wonder, though, how stressful it must be to need to escape the spotlight. Perhaps being a superstar isn’t as glamorous as it seems. The life of an actor, actress, or artist is often a whirlwind, moving from one schedule to the next, attending endless events, and fulfilling obligations under contract—never missing a beat.
What does Wineport offer that the silver screen doesn’t? Quiet. Tranquility. The rare opportunity to blend in with the rest of the town as if you're just a regular person, with a regular job, craving a little peace and solitude—far from the prying eyes of paparazzi, the blinding flash of cameras, and the ever-present demands of an overbearing manager.
So, to all the hidden stars, Wineport welcomes you with open arms. Enjoy the fresh air, the warm-hearted citizens, and the peaceful respite—whether for a little while or perhaps... forever.
Where Books & Spirits Meet
For as long as Wineport has been established, the library—once housed in a small building—has expanded into a two-story haven for book lovers and readers alike. The scent of old pages lingers in the aisles, where towering shelves of books nearly reach the ceiling and spill across the floors in a beautiful, chaotic mess. It's a whimsical, cozy time machine of the past, especially with its original squeaky wooden floors and outdated wallpaper.
Recently, however, the citizens of Wineport have been in an uproar due to sightings and appearances of ghosts and apparitions. While there are no known photos or videos to confirm these claims, many townsfolk avoid the library after 5 o’clock pm, even though it stays open until 8.
If anyone has any photos or videos of these sightings, please report them to Mayor Miyeon, the librarian, or a reporter at the Wineport Gazette! Until then, keep your eyes peeled—and remember to turn your books in on time!
