Her words struck a chord with him, and for a moment, he simply observed her in quiet contemplation. Then, something in his expression softened as if she had unknowingly pieced together something he hadn’t quite been able to put into words himself.

"You’re right… he needs some cheering up." Joon admitted, a small, thoughtful smile playing on his lips. Perhaps that’s what his father needed most, a reminder that things were okay, that Joon was okay. After all, he had returned to Wineport for him, to reassure him in the ways that mattered.

He exhaled softly, nodding to himself before offering the florist a more genuine smile, one that actually reached his eyes this time. "I’ll leave it to your capable hands, then, Miss." he said with a slight tilt of his head, acknowledging her expertise. Joon didn’t know much about flowers himself, but he could sense her confidence, her understanding of her craft. And in moments like this, he knew it was best to trust the experts.

@kim joon Hitomi smiled softly when the other turned to look at her. The look on his face gave her more information than he likely realized. It's common for people to be utterly confused walking into the shop. They never want to get the flowers wrong. But they don't know what they want or what they should get for their event or whatever the flowers are for.

"For your father? That's so sweet!" She mused happily. She walked towards him with a soft hum. She listened as he continued explaining what the flowers were for. There was a slight sadness in his voice. Maybe his father was sick or something and needed to be cheered back up. "Well... If that's the case... We could always go with the... Muted but cheerful look." She hummed softly. "Or... The neutral with a singular bright color thrown in. A lot of people go for that one, actually." She grabbed a cornflower and a few white carnations with some greenery and Babies Breath. "Something like this?"

"Does he just need to be cheered up? I have plenty of options..."

@hitomi sakurai Joon halted mid step at the florist’s voice, turning slightly to face her. His gentle smile carried a hint of relief, thankful that she had spoken up before he let himself spiral into overthinking his choice. He had spent far too long wandering the shop with his hands clasped behind his back, carefully examining each bloom, but the more he looked, the harder the decision seemed to become.

"Ah, yes." he finally responded, his deep voice surprisingly coming off as soft. "It's for my father."His gaze flickered toward the edge of the display, where blue cornflowers stood in quiet vibrancy, as if the deep hue pulled at something within him. He lingered on them for a moment before meeting the florist’s gaze again. "I'm going to pay him a visit." he added, as if that alone was enough context for her to understand the significance of his choice.

There was an ease in the way he said it, as though he were simply dropping by to see an old friend. And yet, there was an underlying weight in his words. His fingers twitched slightly at his side before relaxing again. He wasn’t entirely sure what kind of arrangement would be best. He'd like something not too formal, but not careless either. But something meaningful, something that spoke even when he didn’t.

"Do you have any recommendations?" he asked, tilting his head slightly. "Something simple but… thoughtful."

@kim joon Hitomi hummed softly as she stood behind the counter, currently creating a customized bouquet for an online order. A bouquet of pink peonies and lilies with little pink and white fillers, and greenery. She looked up when the bell dinged and she returned the nod, welcoming the customer. "Welcome to Star Flower. Let me know if you need anything." Hitomi said cheerfully.

She couldn't help but watch the man walk, she smiled as she noticed the position of his hands and the way he moved. Like he was an old soul. It was kind of cute though. The way he looked at every single flower almost made the woman nervous. Was he some sort of inspector she was unaware of? She shook off the thought and continued with the bouquet.

Hitomi perked up as she wrapped the bouquet in pink and white paper. Grabbing a pink note card to write the message on it. "For my love... Love you always. Jin." She mumbled to herself as she wrote. Saying it out loud helped her write it correctly. She put it on a stick and gently placed it in the bouquet. Her delivery boy walked in just as she finished. "This one is ready to go, kiddo. The address is here." She gave him a little note. "Be careful, please. They're anniversary flowers." The boy nodded and took off again. Once he was gone she turned back to the customer, tilting her head.

"Do you need help or anything?" She questioned with a smile. It wasn't uncommon for people to ask for help deciding what flowers to get. "What's the occasion? I can help you decide."

He gave a small, respectful nod to the florist before quickly averting his gaze. Instead, he focused on the rows of flowers before him, his brows slightly furrowed in thought.

With his hands clasped neatly behind his back, he moved through the shop at an unhurried pace, the way old men did during their daily morning strolls. His posture, combined with his slow, deliberate steps, gave the impression that he was carefully inspecting each bloom as though he were judging their worth. In truth, he was just indecisive.

He scanned the selection, pausing every so often to read the tags attached to the stems, murmuring the names under his breath. Roses, too common. Lilies, too formal. Daisies, maybe too plain? He rocked slightly on his heels before shifting to the next display, still unsure. Even the already arranged bouquets weren’t making it any easier. He wanted something meaningful, something that conveyed a sentiment without having to say it outright. Joon hummed to himself, lips pursed as he glanced between two particularly stunning arrangements. Maybe he was overthinking it. Maybe he should just pick whatever caught his eye first. But that nagging voice in the back of his head told him it had to be just right. To anyone watching, it would seem as though he was deep in contemplation and deliberating the perfect flower arrangement for someone special, which, in a way, wasn’t entirely wrong.

Lost in contemplation, he continued his slow pacing, hands still neatly tucked behind him and moved to the next display, still completely undecided and wondered if he should just ask for help.
