2. long lost brother. when caspian was younger, he and his brother, seung, shared a close bond, one that was defined by their shared love for the sea. seung was lost during a storm at sea when they were both teenagers—caspian believed he had drowned. his grief shaped caspian’s entire life, leading him to become a marine biologist and pouring his emotions into his work. he thought about seung often, searching for answers through his research, but never knowing the truth.

in reality, seung was found by a family in a coastal village on the opposite side of the country, near wineport. after the storm, seung was unconscious but alive, washed ashore by the tide. the family, perhaps not knowing the full truth, either took him in out of compassion or personal motives, such as giving him a new life or wanting to avoid drawing attention to his origins. they could have even adopted him, raising him in their care, away from the jeon family’s past.

3. best friend in wineport. you and caspian didn't really grow up together, but you did meet on his research trip to wineport and you were able to convince him to move to the small town.

Unknown to Subin the other teachers think Haemi is a handful. Haemi is talkative, a bit distracting, and can be mean to the other students at times, but she's a smart girl! Despite their working relationship, Haemi has been giving Muse A a tough time and Muse A has refrained from giving Haemi a red slip for her behavior 3 times now. After breaking a vase the class worked on as an art project and Haemi not owning up to is, Muse A is fed up and sits Haemi in time out, lecturing the girl for her behavior. All while Subin has her own class lined up outside the open door to Muse A's classroom. All is fine until Subin decides to walk in Muse A's classroom and they get into a nice/nasty argument in front of the students.

PLOT | [open starter] Subin finally has a weekend to herself without her daughter, but out of all the places wants to be, she's at the library determined to find a copy of novel that is part of a rather unpopular and older book series. Subin finally has her hands on the book but the ambiance of the library made sleep sneak up on her, now her snores are blaring through her section of the library.

　　₃. PLOT | Haemi was playing in the backyard, sitting in her sandbox and burying the toys she had. While she was distracted Subin went inside to put together a snack, but as quick as Subin looked away Haemi was wandering to the front yard to the barking of their neighbor's dog so she could pet it. The dog was behind the iron gates, it's eyes kind and tail wagging for the small girl. The dog itself is nice and knows Haemi from her feeding it all sorts of treats from her sticky hands, but Subin and the neighbor did not expect to go on a search for a runaway child and dog.
