Frequently Asked Questions
Q - What positions are open within the packs?
A - That information can be found on the pack information pages that are listed underneath this page. However there are always Standard Pack Member positions available.
Q - Are the wolves here ones that were created? Like, were they bitten and that's how they became werewolves?
A - No. All of the wolves here at Descent of the Full Moon are ones that are born as werewolves. No one became a werewolf through being bitten.
Q - Can I use a hunter for a plot?
A - Information regarding the hunters can be found on the hunter information page. But the basic answer is check with Luhan or Baekhyun through OOC.
Q - Can a female be the alpha or beta? And how about a male as a seer?
A - In short, no. The Alpha and Beta positions are male only openings. And Seers are female only. We're trying to keep the roleplay as realistic as possible even though we are dealing with fantasy elements and werewolves.
Also there is more demand for male spots, hence why there are more positions for male characters. We do however have plenty of positions for female characters too.
Q - Do the wolves go into heat?
A - Yes. Before we had a set time every month that everybody went into heat. But since the revamp heat is now considered a group plot event run by the admins.
Q - Going into heat? What is that?
A - Going into heat is basically known as mating season. In real life anyway. Here at Descent of the Full Moon it is essentially the same, however ALL of the wolves go into heat. They don't necessarily mate however. They can also be affected in the way that they are more on edge and emotional. They anger a lot easier and are more prone to fighting.
The simplier answer: It's a time where they are all a lot more highly strung and try to seek out ways to relieve themselves.
Q - From what age do the wolves go into heat?
A - Any wolf thirteen years old or older goes into heat. However until the age of sixteen they won't be able to experiment with being in heat at all. If you know what I mean.
Going into heat starts when the wolf hits puberty.
Q - Is there an age of consent for certain romantic activities?
A - Yes. The age of consent is 16. So no ual activities are to happen for a wolf that is under 16.
Q - Can my character have a baby?
A - Recently we have changed the rules to include pregnancy. So... Yes, you can. But only if your character is 20 years old or older.
The exact rules concerning pregnancy can be found on the pregnancy list page.
Q - Do I have to roleplay in third person?
A - No you don't. This is a first and third roleplay so use whichever you are comfortable with. Third tends to be more beneficial when it comes to plots and since we are a plot focused roleplay, we do encourage the use of third more than first.
Q - Can the healers heal anything?
A - Healers are only able to heal injuries dealt to fellow werewolves and humans. They are unable to heal other creatures and wildlife.
Q - What about the Seers? How do their powers work?
A - Seers have the power of precognition which is basically the ability to see the future. They are the guides of the packs, guiding the alpha to try and secure the pack's happiness and survival. The future is always varied but Seer's can see nearly every outcome (depending on the strength of the Seer). They also get premonitions when something bad might happen to the pack or one of it's members.
Q - Can wolves from different packs be mates?
A - Yes they can. Though this will often come hand in hand with one of the wolves moving to live with their mate in the other pack, their elemental ability however doesn't change with the changing of packs.
Q - When changing forms do their clothes change with them?
A - Ultimately that is up to you. But the general answer is yes, the clothes do change with them when they change into their wolf forms and back.
The longer answer is it depends on the individual wolf. Every wolf is different and have different strengths. So it is up to the individual if they have mastered changing forms with their clothes or not.
Q - Can my character have a room of their own?
A - No. Unfortunately we do not allow the use of 'bedrooms' for individual characters. We do however have general rooms called dens etc that do the job. However all is to be kept to your walls only.
Q - Do I have to participate in the group plots?
A - No, you do not. Participation in the group plots is completely voluntary. However the more people who take part, the better the plot will be. Also if there is a good turn out it means that there is a greater chance of more group plots happening in the future.
Q - I don't like posting in rooms... Do I have to?
A - We would definitely prefer it if you did. A roleplay will never look active if everyone sticks to walls. Plus, you can involve more people in your plots if you use the rooms.
Q - What is a Scout and what do they do?
A - A Scout is a wolf that ranks above a Standard Pack Member but below the Seers and Healers. They monitor the borders, alerting the higher ranked wolves to any intruders. They also venture outside of the territory to scan for any incoming threats and they act as messengers between packs when needed.
Q - How do characters age here?
A - They age the standard way, just like we do in real life. When you apply to join us you list the age you wish your character to be. Then when their birthday roles around, they became a year older. Just like in real life.
Q - So birthdays are important?
A - Yes. With the addition of a few new rules to the roleplay, age has become an important factor. We don't however want to rule out the chances for everyone, hence why we make a note of ages and birthdays.
Q - But my character isn't 20 years old. Does that mean I can't mate or have a baby?
A - You can find a mate to be with, however pregnancy is only allowed for wolves 20 years or older. The focus of this roleplay is not about finding a mate and having a family. We are not a roleplay that focuses on or romance. We are a plot focused roleplay. Romance and mating is just a bonus here.
Q - Where exactly is this roleplay set? Like what city? What part of the world?
A - The world in which this roleplay is set is a generic one. We didn't want to use anywhere specific as we have roleplayers here from all over the world who might not necessarily know what a certain city is like. So we chose to keep things relatively generic for easy roleplaying.
Q - Do I have to mate with someone to with them?
A - No. Mating and ting are not the same thing. That is why we have two relationship levels on the couples page. A wolf is free to sleep with or with anyone they choose, until they officially mate with someone. A wolf mates for life, so once mated that is your chosen partner.
Q - How do you mate with someone then?
A - Mating pretty much does involve sleeping with each other, but it also includes marking. A marked wolf is a mated wolf. And a mark can either be internal (which occurs during mating) or external (through a bite).
Q - My character lives in the forest. Is it okay for them to live in a hut?
A - Not really. The reason we have specific areas set up for the packs is to make it clear what sort of packs they are. So forest wolves live in the forest and city wolves in the city. The forest and mountain do not have electricity. And we have den areas etc which are the areas in which the wolves live.
We can't allow everyone to have private little huts, otherwise that pretty much defeats the whole point of living in a pack.
Q - Do you accept international idols?
A - Unfortunately, right now we don't. We only accept those of Asian descent. So, for example, we would accept a j-rock idol here, yet not an American idol. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Q - Can I be a lone wolf?
A - No. We do not offer the chance to play lone wolves here. Though you may encounter a lone wolf rarely in real life, in our roleplay every wolf belongs to a pack. The only lone wolves are unnamed rogue ones needed for plots. There are plenty of packs to choose from though, all with different personalities and traits.
If you have a question regarding this roleplay either post it below or message one of the admins.
