Sulli stared at the distance where the other campers were busy chatting and laughing amongst themselves. She was never the type to approach, be sociable and friendly, that's why she was currently hiding behind a shady tree. But what's the use of hiding anyway? They never seem to notice her that much and even if they do, they would walk away. But that never seemed to bother her, she was used to it anyway. That's one of the 'perks' of being a child of Hades. Just because her father was the god of the underworld and the dead doesn't mean that he's evil. Harsh and cruel, yes that might be a few traits that he possesses but he was also just, honorable, respectful. Most of those traits were passed down to Sulli, but her mother must take the blame for a lot of things about her.
One of the reasons that she avoids the company of others is because some of them were too noisy, which is already too much for her considering that she hears a lot of things from the dead. Their whispers and cries of agony and despair, she can't handle it. Another reason was because she just doesn't feel like it. The daughter of Hades has a reason, but can't explain it in words herself.
Everything about Sulli is a mystery to others, and even herself.
@Jung Daehyun [R] Yoona noticed his hollow expression and pursed her lips. She enthusiastically shook his hand. She said,"Under control? You must be pretty scary when you totally lose it huh? But it's the same case with me." Yoona laughed trying to brighten up the tense atmosphere. "Endurance and stamina... hmm.. I see. Quite a unique way to do it, but it's better than lying around doing nothing," Yoona commented in curiosity as she looked around to see if any others were climbing trees.
[[sorry for this late reply OTL you probably forgot about it but i just had to reply because it seemed to be just left hanging D: also i got bored soo yeah..if you'd like to continue it'd be great though]]
@Kim Myungsoo [R] Amber raised an eyebrow and said, "Your mother visited? And you think it's not important?" Her tone turned dead by the end of her sentence. She had never even /seen/ a hint of her father. He never left any for her, never showed up, nothing. Yet, here was Myungsoo, treating his mother's visit as though it was nothing. "Well, isn't that lovely," she asked, though it was more stated than asked.
@Amber Liu [G] He sat down where she wanted him to, looking around. He loved fields like this, especially because it was quiet enough to genuinely think, unlike the noisy camp interior. "There's nothing new as well in my life. Oh, one thing.." Myungsoo drifted off, wondering if he should tell, but shrugged. "My mom visited. Not important though."
@Kim Myungsoo [R] Shaking her head, she quickly assured the other. "No, no, it's fine. Really," Amber said with a small smile. At his question, she furrowed her brow. She sat cross legged the grass and balanced her bow on her crossed legs. The androgynous girl lightly touched a patch of grass and gave him a look that told him to sit down. Shaking her head, she replied, "Nothing new. And you?"
@Amber Liu [G] Myungsoo noticed the small flinch, even though Amber hid it quickly after. He frowned softly, before his frown evened out. "Sorry about that," was his response, which came out in a quiet and guilty voice. He contented himself by realizing she hadn't ditched him yet, and that must have counted for something, right? "Anything new that's going on in your life?"
@Kim Myungsoo [R] She flinched a little at the sudden poke, unused to anyone touching her in any way, but she hid the jolt of surprise so well that it wasn't noticeable. As the other began to lighten up, so did the tomboy, though she was still somewhat wary. Amber shrugged at his statement and said, "Perhaps." The girl herself was usually a bright and friendly person, though she too had her moments of extreme moodiness.
@Amber Liu [G] He poked her arm lightly, in a mix of annoyance and amusement. She was cuter when she was happy, Myungsoo noted. When she told him that he had a stone face, he giggled childishly. "I haven't heard that in a long time. Usually I'm too emotional; it bugs people. Maybe it's because I don't really know you." He shrugged. Somehow he was either on one end of the spectrum or the other. Either near-hormonal moody, or a poker face that could beat a statue.
@Kim Myungsoo [R] The tomboy's light laugh rang through the clearing, her cold demeanor slowly melting away to reveal her normally bright personality as she continued to be in the presence of the male. Still laughing, though quieter now, she said, "Perhaps it's the way your face looks. I'm not saying you look terrible or anything, you just have that stone face." Facepalming herself, she said, "You know what, never mind. I'm not making any sense at all."
@Amber Liu [G] "Oh lucky you. Even if I liked animals, they would still run away from me. I only have some luck with a few of them." Pouting unconsciously, Myungsoo remembered the many many times he had tried to feed a duck or something and it bit him. He had been bitten way more times than he cared to actually count.
The corner of Sohyun's eye twitched in irritation. /I was not having a passionate conversation with a dragon. And Peleus totally cared,/ a voice in her head muttered. "I'm sure our meeting was rather unique then," she remarked, a little sourly. She followed his eyes to the caterpillar on the tree. "And generally, people don't take special interest in insects climbing up large plants."
"Don't be so sure about that." Sohyun sighed, her smile vanishing. "Kwon Sohyun," she said quietly. "Just mention that name to anyone in the camp and I'm sure you'll have someone to tell this to. They'll have a grand time, laughing about this."
{Short, sorry. Gotta get a few hours in. Night~ ^^}
The second reaction Sohyun had was annoyance. Cold, calm anger at the stranger who had laughed at her and invaded the privacy of her secret morning rituals. Picking up her sword and sheathing it, she approached the newcomer with suspicion in her eyes, a guarded expression on her face. Leaning towards him, she extended a hand to the male, not recognizing his face. That probably explained why he wasn't looking at her with pity, or hatred, or some other offensive emotion she didn't particularly like.
"I'm a bit intolerant to people who surprise me," she replied drily, her voice muted. "In particular those who laugh at me during our first meeting." She sighed, crossing her arms over her chest and using her shoes to kick at the ground. "Hello, stranger. You must be new. I hope it isn't too much to ask you not to share that - " She gestured with her head towards Peleus - "with the others. I'd never hear the end of it. I'll have to deal with you if you do, however. I wouldn't be looking forward to that."
Her smile was a mixture of sarcastic and threatening.
{No problem. I gotta sleep soon though, so I might reply to you tomorrow.}
{holy crap i am overflowed with posts otl my apologies.}
"Goddamned Greeks, they think they're all that," Sohyun muttered, particularly loudly. "I mean, the Romans are bad enough, but... the Greeks." She let out a huff of frustration, scooting herself closer to Peleus, close enough to touch him. Still, the dragon didn't show any sign of responding to, or even comprehending what she was saying. Crossing her arms, she turned to the huge creature, staring it down. "You're not listening to me, are you?" she accused. "Fine. Don't listen to me then. Don't - "
The sound of laughter broke the silence, and Sohyun jumped.
Her immediate reaction to the laughter was shock, and a Sohyun caught off guard was typically a violent Sohyun. Split seconds after the sound of chuckling reached her ear, the water bottle - stainless steel, to be specific - flew out of her hand, on straight collision course with the forehead of the owner of the voice. Bullseye... maybe?
{I would have written more, but... There's not much to write until you respond to that water bottle projectile xD}
On a typical morning, it wasn't particularly strange to find Sohyun awake inhumanly early, already stationed at her usual spot beside Peleus and Thalia's tree, sword in one hand, a bottle of water in the other. Perhaps the other campers would find it strange, the cold, distant Kwon Sohyun speaking to a dragon, but it wasn't as if they didn't hate her already. In all honesty, she hardly had anything to lose.
And so, Sohyun lay on the grass, ignoring the damp spot on her back caused by not yet dry morning dew, complaining to a dragon and tree at the crack of dawn.
@Im Yoona [G] He nodded, his slightly tanned skin contrasting against hers as they shook hands. "Of course." He chuckled, half-emptily. It was an automatic thing he did when he was upset. "It's actually under much better control now though." He then shrugged and simply spoke. "Endurance training. Climbing trees builds stamina."
@Kim Myungsoo [R] Her eyes were trained to the ground as Myungsoo led them away from the dragon, she looked up when she heard him sigh. Someone was clearly more than happy to stay away from the dragon. As the male fidgeted, Amber raised an eyebrow. "I love animals," was her simple reply.
@Amber Liu [G] As soon as they were far from the dragon, he immediately heaved a sigh of relief. Myungsoo was envious how Amber's footsteps were so light and quick, and how she didn't show any fear to the dragon. He hated feeling insecure, so he just fidgeted a little. "Are you okay with animals?"
@Kim Myungsoo [R] She nodded in response and followed the male. Amber personally did not mind the dragon, nor any creature. But since Myungsoo seemed less than enthused to be around the magical creature. The androgynous girl did not speak as she followed the other, her light runner's feet making no noise as she walked.
@Jung Daehyun [R] Yoona noticed that Daehyun stll looked a little pissed and was worried that she had left a bad impression on someone who she met for the first time. Yoona stood stiff as Daehyun mentioned the Hades' Cabin and softened up when he stuck out his hand in front of hers. "Yeah I noticed," Yoona said while placing her soft pale hand in his and firmly shaking it. "The dark aura no offense was pretty creepy,"Yoona continued and paused then said,"And can I ask what a Hades' kid was climbing a tree?"
@Im Yoona [G] He brushed off his arms and watched her mildly. Yeah... he was climbing a tree, but wouldn't anyone be pissed if they were nearly knocked off when they were climbign a tree. "Mmmh.." He responded, givign her a slightly curious look. He then nodded. "Yeah... I'm from the Hades cabin." He responded flatly before sticking out his hand. Might as well leave on a good note, right?
@Amber Liu [G] Myungsoo opted to stay silent as she talked. She sounded like she was almost scolding him, in an odd sort of sister-way. "Thanks. And yeah, I'd really like to get away from the dragon. Or any other sort of beast." He shuddered lightly, before walking away quickly while motioning for the girl to follow him. That dragon was going to eat him one day, Myungsoo just knew it.
@Jung Daehyun [R] Yoona felt the aura of death coming from Daehyun and struggled to keep her cool. Yoona brushed aside her thoughts and clearly said," I'm sorry Daehyun-ssi for startling you while you were umm.. climbing the tree? Anyway I hope you aren't too hurt or anything. I just happen to not look when I'm flying through the forest especially because not many people climb trees." When Daehyun looked up in confusion at her comment on flying she hurriedly explained,"I'm Im Yoona and I'm from the Zeus Cabin and I get a feeling you're from Had..no Pluto Cabin seeing that you're not from around here."
@Kim Myungsoo [R] She raised an eyebrow at his words. "Everyone is good at at least one thing, regardless of whether or not they know it. It just takes time to develop your skills and know how to use it to its full potential," she said, somewhat lecturing the male. It didn't matter if he was a child of Venus or not; everyone was naturally talented at everything. Then a rustling and small movement entered her peripheral vision, and she turned to eye the dragon. "I think it's a good time to leave now," she said, not turning away from the fidgeting creature.
@Amber Liu [G] "Yeah.. We should leave. Animals and I don't really connect well." He was fairly embarrassed to admit that, yet Myungsoo was far more willing to admit that than actually get roasted. Few animals liked him, yet the others stayed their distance. Apparently Myungsoo's moodiness got to them or something. "Too bad Venus's kids aren't naturally good at anything. Well, nothing I consider especially useful." He looked down at his dagger, smiling a bit.
@Kim Myungsoo [R] She blinked at the color of his eyes, but showed no other emotion at the sight of them. "Children of Apollo are naturally comfortable with a bow and arrows," she replied. "However, daggers are good as well." Turning her head towards the dragon Myungsoo pointed at, she tilted her head and gave the creature a thoughtful look. "Perhaps. Maybe it's not a good idea to continue to stand here."
@Amber Liu [G] He laughed quietly, his eyelashes fluttering slightly. Myungsoo opened his eyes, turning his multi-colored eyes to fall upon Amber. "I quite like archery. I'm guessing I'm nowhere near as good as you are though. I prefer my dagger." Peleus growled in the background and as Myungsoo looked at the dragon, he realized that the dragon was getting more agitated because of them. He pointed at Peleus, gesturing for Amber to look as well. "Do you think he's pissed at us?"
@Kim Myungsoo [R] She watched the male with guarded eyes as she gave him a slight nod. "Nice to meet you too, Myungsoo." Watching as his eyes closed, she loosened up some more. "I just finished archery practice. Didn't feel like running, so I came here." She continued to stand a fair distance away from the male.
@Amber Liu [G] "Myungsoo. Venus's kid. Nice to meet you." His tone was far from chipper, yet also far from anger. He did not actually recognize the girl, but he had heard of her. She was fairly popular around the camp. Myungsoo leaned back against the tree, sighing softly. "So what brings you here?" His eyes fluttered closed and his ears drank in the silence for a bit.
@Kim Myungsoo [R] She schooled her face to hold a stoic expression. If examined closely, however, her lips were set in a thin line and her eyes had slightly hardened. Her stance was stiff, showing how wary she was of the stranger. However, her grip on her bow loosened slightly as she replied, "Amber. Child of Apollo. And you?"

Naeun refused to believe the goat-man at first. The goat-man offered her a place at Camp Half-Blood and that if she ever changed her mind, all she had to do was go to the dark alleyway where she fought the manticore on a bright sunny afternoon. The next day, Naeun thought about his offer and she decided to go to that camp of his. After all, she knew she didn't belong with the regular humans ever since she was young. The goat-man smiled knowingly when he found her at the dark alleyway the following day. He brought her to a camp. The moment she stepped on camp grounds, a symbol was seen floating above her head. "All hail Son Naeun, daughter of lord Hades, god of the underworld." A centaur said. Oh yes, the symbol seen was the helm of darkness.

Greek or Roman: Roman
Years they've been at camp & Age: 2 years at Camp Jupiter & 17 Years old
Godly parent/ancestry/etc: Pluto / Hades
Writing Sample: DaeHyun narrowed his eyes, wondering why he'd been chosen to be sent to this camp. Perhaps it was yet another laugh of fate at him, and by the Gods, he knew they loved messing with him. He hitched his bag up on his shoulder before boldly making his way towards what he expected to be an empty dorm. It being a child of Pluto, most people tended to be afraid of him and stayed away, which made making friends really hard. He blew his blonde bangs upwards before settling his bag down onto the cabin bunk. This would be an interesting time...
