@☠ Choa Mir lolled his head against the bar, pushing his empty glass forward, demanding a refill.
"Don't you think you've had enough, sir?" The barman said sternly, but his confidence dipped as soon as Mir inched his head off the countertop and sent the man a meaningful glare. "Yes, sir," the barman, coughed, taking the glass and filling it to the brim once again with grog.
As soon as the glass was in reach of Mir's fist, he snatched out and grabbed it, lifting his heavy head enough that he could gulp it down. The barman gritted his teeth nervously, glancing away, evidently deciding that laissez faire was the best policy, and he proceeded to wash down the countertops.
It had been an hour since Mir had left the palace. An hour since he'd seen Soojung. An hour since he'd broken her heart. Bleary eyed, Mir sluggishly sipped his glass, the lack of alcohol causing him to slip the glass, it rolling off the counter and smashing on the floor. Hiccuping, Mir blinked down at the smashed pieces of glass, shrugging his shoulders and collapsing back onto the counter. "Barman!" He called, his hand poking out from the pile of his arms and shoulders and head. "I need another glass. (Sounding more like Ee nee a noyer glasssss"
Evidently, the barman was far more concerned about the broken glass than Mir was by the way he swore and hurried round the other side of the bar, proceeding the sweep up the glass shards and muttering how he was going to get fired for this.
Mir sighed impatiently. It was a surprise that he hadn't fallen back onto the floor just like that glass. His heart had shattered like it.
@⚓ Jinki Minah turned to the male, nodding quickly. "Yes I can run." she said, holding onto his hand tightly as they ran. She looked at him quizically. "Yes they do, but we don't have time to worry about that!" she yelled, turning around to see a angery man burst through after them.
"No, I won't let them," she could see the panic in his face and shaking body. He was brave, but now he made a dumb move. It was helpful, but dumb for him. "Stop! Take a breath, I'll protect you." she said, trying to quite him down or else they were gonna hear them and get them easier. "No time for yelling, come on!" she tried pulling him but he pulled her back, apoligizing.
"It's fine-" she thought it had been for the yelling, but it was something different. Her eyes widend as the knife was yanked out her back. She cried out in pain and blood came ozzing out. "Dude now I'm gonna bleed more!" she yelled at him, looking up and seeing the male hit target on the guys shoudler. Minah looked between him and the other guy who just got hit.
"No time to be cheery either, come on!!" she yelled, yanking his hand to get him moving. She remembered Daisy. "Crap, Daisy!" she yelled her girl's name, trying to get out of the batenders grip. "Da-siy!!" she yelled louder, clicking as loud as she could. "Yank hard girl!!" she got out and sprinted back to her horse, going to the front where guys already were waiting. "Stupid!" she thought to herself but yelled outloud as well, grabbing her dragger out of her boot and running right at them. "Daisy, let's go!" the horse fought hard against people and the wood. Minah jumped on one guy, his knife cutting her side even as she tried to dodge, and her knife going through his chest. She shoved him hard back, stabbing another guy a couple times before bodies surrounded her, punching and kicking her, trying to get her off. Another knife went into her side and she screamed but didn't stop.
"DAISY GET OUT OF HERE!!" with most guys on her the horse had more space and she bucked guys off her, neighing loudly to the sky and then comeing back to Minah. "BUCK THEM DAISY!! BUCK!! INTRUDER!" Minah screamed as she was kicked and punched more in the stomach and head and everywhere basically. Daisy urgently bucked people one by one. "BUCK...BUCK!" Minah yelled over and over, trying to get the males off her. Her head and smacked to the ground and she blacked out, unable to take anymore with the air knocked out of her and still she forced screams, the constant punches in the head, the lossing of blood. Her body couldn't take anymore.
In panic, Onew grabbed the female and dragging her through the back exit of the pub. His eyes were still wide from watching her smash a glass bottle over some guy's head.
"Can you run?" He asked, the panic evident in his voice. His eyes glanced in alarm at the knives in her back. "Do those not bother you?!"
He yelped as one if the men burst through the door and Onew yanked the female away, hurrying down one of the side alleys.
"Are they gonna kill me?" He asked aloud, as if speaking to himself. He glanced behind, seeing the man following with a grim look on his face. "Oh, they're gonna kill me! They're gonna kill me!" His face scrunched up in fear before he yelled, "I'm not ready to die."
Then, his eyes glanced to the knives in her back again and an idea struck. "I'm sorry," he said quickly before grabbing one of the handles and yanking out of her. Swiftly, he turned towards their pursuer, scrunched up his eyes and threw the blade.
The man yelped and Onew opened his eyes in surprise, seeing that the knife had landed in the man's shoulder. "I hit him!" He exclaimed in glee before panic spread across his face. "I hit hiiiim," he cried, watching the man's expression full with rage. Onew grabbed the woman's arm and pulled her as he ran further and further along the street, not helping to notice the trail of blood she left behind.
@⚓ Jinki () this repky is gonna be poop sowwy~;; i wrote a long reply...ny brother deleted it before i could send it...sigh siblings ><
minah held onto the male toghtly as she was lifted away, but the fight was obviously not over. She yelled duck and pushed the other back, catching a knife cutting across her arm, byt stopped at the hilt got caught. She quickly grabbed the nans writ so he wouldn't move, and kicked hin hard in the knees. She then shoved another guy as hard as she could, jumping over and going to the bartender.
"Get up" she said, quickly spotting a presuer from the corner of her eye, and grabbing an empty beer bottle off the bar table she smashed it into a males head. He fell over on the floor, knocked out and chips sticking in his head.
@☾ Minah "Wait," Jinki started, confused, when the men barged into the pub. Then their eyes locked straight on the girl and suddenly the glint of blades were flying in the air past his face. He leaned back sharply, one barely missing his nose. He gulped, relieved, until he heard a cry of pain and his eyes shot to the girl who had just left him.
She was lying flat on the floor, the two knives buried into her back. He stared in disbelief, his throat going dry. Terror filled him, never having seen something so horrific.
Then the men were approaching her and snarling and Onew gripped the edge of the bar. "Do something," he hissed to the bartender, panic filling him. But, obviously, he wasn't the only one terrified.
One of the pens stood on a blade and the girl cried out in pain. It was only that one sound that pushed Onew forward, puffing his chest in an attempt to look bigger. He doubted for a second to do it and then told himself 'what the hell.' "Hey!" He said loudly, though his voice cracked. Then he sent the guy standing on the knife stumbling back with a punch to his face.
Onew winced, shaking his fist. "Wow, you have a rock-hard face." Then he turned to the girl, crouching down next to her in panic. "Are you okay?" He asked. Of course she wasn't okay. His eyes looked at the knives in her back and shoulder, blood bubbling up. He debated whether to take them out but figured that would be better done by a professional. So he attempted to pick her up by her underarms, to move her away.
That was before the shadows of the gruesome men loomed over him.
@☁ Mir Minah didn't respon at first to his question. She had plenty of anxity, she didn't want more. She took dteading breaths, wishing for more alcohol. She was scared, going a little crazy. He almsot had to stav someone! She didn't like hurtin people! Nomad blood or not, if she killed someone, she wouldn't hesitate to kill herself.
She didn't have money or time for anything. She looked up as she felt a hand on her shoudler. She sighed, shaking her head and chuckling. "I'm nervous" she said, shakin her arms aroud as if sand was in them. She was being honest. "Geez, i have to go" she said, too impacient to wait for water for daisy. She would just feed her what she got left in her bag.
Just as she stood up, a group of men burst into the pub. "There!" They yelled and pointed. "Crap!" Minah yelled, junping out the chair and bolting for it. A man threw a couple knices at her. Two knocked her on the floor, one in her shoulder one in her back. She gasped as hitting the floor got the wind knocked out of her. She scrabbled to get up but they quickly pounced, a man stepping on her free shoulder and the other steping on the blade in her back. She cried out in pain.
"Stupid brat" one grabbed her hair and yanked her brat. "I wonder if you're a " she struggles againts arms but there was 6 of then and people were pushing the knives in deeper.
() haha, its ok! XD i wanted to add a little drama in there, i hope you don't mind cX
@❊ Jaehwan "Thanks," Mir said, taking the first shot and gulping it down, grimacing at the sharp taste burning his throat. He drummed his fingers on the bar anxiously, resting his elbow against it and running fingers through his hair. He hated being nervous. And it didn't help that what he was nervous about would decide the future of his whole kingdom.
He growled low in his throat. This political rubbish was taking its toll on him. He had accepted the new role as the face of the kingdom to save it - he loved the people, of course he did. He always wanted the best for them. But it was at times like these that made him doubt if /he/ was the best for them. Was he really capable of running this kingdom, of saving it?
Frustrated, he grabbed the second shot, throwing it down before he gulped down the other.
Onew flinched, watching the girl down the entire class in two gulps. Even he would have a hard time with that alcohol shooting down in throat so quickly.
"Are you alright?" He asked slowly as if she were some crazed animal about to pounce on him in any given moment.
Despite Onew's lack of perceptions skills, he was still able to tell that she was not just a little rattle. It was pretty easy to see, what with her head bowed and her fingers buried anxiously in her hair.
Cautiously, as if she might snap at him, he placed a hand on her shoulder, leaning towards her, and said, "Is there anything I can do to help?"
@☁ Mir Jaehwan heard some stranger's demand accompanied by a slap on the counter. He assumed money was being paid. He finished what he was doing before glancing at the patron so he would know who to serve it to. And some food, too? He didn't know if he was gonna like this guy with how rude he was. But his job was to serve so serve is what he would do.
He got a few shot glasses and poured straight vodka into each of them and set them down in front of him. "That'll get you as drunk as you want and this is slightly cheaper. Are you a vegetarian? We don't have those options." He said, putting in an order for a big, meaty sandwich.
@❊ Jinki Minah sighed, running a hand through her frizzed up hair. She knew she must look like a half crazed women, but nobody was saying or doing anything. 'Ha, it's more friendly than I expected' she thought. The Nomad tribe was highly hated, and Ocean Kingdom didn't have a big profile yet. It made sense, the people of this land must not know much about Nomads, but yet again, who knows she's one?
She checked her belly shirt, making sure the back covered her tatto well; her symbol of being a true Nomad. Eveyone had something in her tribe. The tatto of a black bird being almost wrapped in ribbon and dark flowers was her representative.
Minah tapped her nails impaciently on the bar cart. She was worried they would find her any minute now, and she had to hurry back so they wouldn't catch her tail again. She looked up at the movement of a figure, the bartender, went towards her. He had a goofy smile and a martini in his hand, that he pronouced the name of wrong, but he just laughed it off, Minah would've made a cute reaction like that, if she had time to waste, which, she didn't!
"Thanks." she said bluntly, throwing out the cherry on a toothpick and taking the whole glass down in 2 solid gulps. She sighed, shaking her head, trying to wake herself up and get back in the game. She put the glass down, sighing and resting her head in her hands as the gears turned quickly in her head. If they did come, which was still an possibility, what would she do? Was there a back door? She looked around. But then, how would she get to Daisy? No way was she leaving her.
It was two days until Mir had to meet with the king of this place. Despite how confident he usually was, Mir was nervous. He could tell by the way his palms were sweating and his stomach was misbehaving. He really needed to eat something to settle it.
Mir had settled for strolling along the streets in this kingdom, getting a feel for it. But it hadn't eased his mind - or his legs - at all. All it had done was make him more worried. His kingdom and this one had never been friends. The previous queen had always been closed off to any alliance and his kingdom hadn't exactly been the friendliest now.
But Mir was in control for the time being so he was going to settle that now. Plus, the Grasslands could do with some allies after the king's recent assasination. It hadn't exactly encouraged the citizens very much.
The problem was, this Oceanside Kingdom had recently gained a new king and Mir had no idea what he was like. Would he act kindly to the idea of an alliance or would he push Mir away?
Mir's thoughts were interrupted by the smell of warm, firewood and crisp, inviting food. A nearby pub? Well, that was a good a distraction as any. Approaching it, Mir strolled in and headed straight to the bar.
"Get me the strongest drink you have," he insisted, slamming money on the table. He didn't even know if it was enough but he didn't really care. As a second thought, Mir added, "Oh, and give me a meal to wash it down with. Whatever's fine."
@❊ Jaehwan well... /ponders for a moment, blinking a few times at the male bartender.
may i have a glass of water...? /questions, head tilting to the side wondering if she made the right choice.
@❊ Jun.K Jae grinned and took that money, paying his tab off. He waved and clocked out, negotiating that he would come in early the next day. He followed his friend out, looking to him to direct him. "Oh? That's good. I've been on my feet for a while. It'd be nice to rest." He said, smiling and locking his fingers behind his head.
He blinked, surprised when he saw Jun's house. It was a disgrace to call it a house. It was so big and pretty. "You live… here?"
@❊ Jaehwan The young king chugged it all in one slurp . Feeling it burning his throat as it slid down to his belly . This would seriously hit him hard later on , he thought . He stood up and grinned , taking up his wallet and paid with huge golden coins , paying extra just for the good service " some tips my friend , spend them well" he winked and took his coat on and walked over to the entrance , waiting for his friend to finish his shift and just tidy things up and closing the pub . " the good thing is that it's not far from here where I live . We can just walk " he ensured the male , excited to show him around the castle . When they arrived . He wondered thought what the first impression would be . The man thought , he had to ensure this man would keep it a secret when they came over . Luckily the king wasn't that drunk to lose his senses , he was after all an experienced drinker
@❊ Jun.K Jaehwan grinned and shrugged. "I have to be. I live alone. What if I trusted someone enough to let them give me a ride home and then I get kidnapped and sold to some other kingdom. I have to be very careful." He said, going off in a slight tangent.
He grinned widely when he was officially invited to Jun's house. "Okay!" He said cheerfully and made Jun another drink, not making it as strong. Then he made himself a drink as well. He put them both on his friends tab, he wouldn't mind right?
"Okay, let me clock out and then we go. Okay?" He said, taking a few big gulps of his drink before leaving the bar.
@❊ Jaehwan " haha you're too full of suspicion about people . He didn't seem sick because probably druggies goes on the same shot themselves haha" he chuckled at the comment. Actually , he did have considered bringing ken over as a sleep over , revealing his true identity as they have become friends after the time he had spent here in the kingdom . He just had to made sure the servants behaved. They possibly would think he was going crazy by bringing a bartender over . But they normally didn't made any trouble as the king normally brought back strangers of the opposite back home . But it would be great ! He could let Ken use one of the royal pyjamas , try out the huge swimming pool he has in the room , and eat whatever delicious food only the king could offer ! It would be great ! And they could play cards together and chess his favourite game ! " fine I take you home to my place and we'll make history ! Just give me another drink , the usual ..." He said as he leant back , grinning " also make one for yourself . We shall celebrate "
@❊ Jaehwan why am i here in the first place? /mumbles to self, putting my books down then sitting in front of the bar hoping no one will notice.
hmm.. so this goes here… /points to some pages on the book, makes some doodles around them.
@❊ Jun.K "Dumb? Airhead? He could also be a druggie. I see quite a few of those here." He said, letting out a small laugh at Jun's words. ty food? That's funny. Food isn't ty where he is. His fancy stories hint at a well off lifestyle. He didn't believe that. But he wouldn't voice his thoughts. That's not what he is about.
He blinked in surprise when his friend suddenly closed in. He looked at him with a tilted head, giving a small smirk of his own. "If you ever asked me to come over, I /definitely/ would have had a story to tell." He said, playing right back. "Why don't you give me one tonight? I get off at midnight."
@❊ Jaehwan " haha always with an answer my friend . But you see this man seemed pretty airhead, and he was pretty jumpy , quite dumb it seems. So he wouldn't have the brain or guts enough to lie about it I guess . Or if that is the case though , my senses must have become dull by all the ty food they serve where I live . Not that I should complain , it would be after all , really egoistic of me if I did " he said as another sip slid down his throat. Feeling quite more confident on his act as he stood up and leant over the bar table closer to his friend " hey jaehwan . Have I ever offered you to come over by my place before ?" He asked and gave a slight of a smirk , feeling quite on the playful mood tonight . " maybe that would give a story to tell "
@❊ Jun.K Dipper the Dolphin. That made Jaehwan snort. Such a cliche name for a sea animal. He chuckled softly at the story, half feeling bad and half finding it funny that the dolphin would throw balls at Jun's face. He would have liked to see that in person. Yet, not many people had dolphin of got to see them really. Usually they could be seen when people were out on the waters farther out or had rich friends. Jun seems too be the latter. He always let little things like this slip by but he never got a full explanation.
"And how do you know if he was faking it or not? Lighthouses are supposed to be equipped with emergency back up lights if the main one breaks. He should have been held accountable. Don't think of it as taking money from him. You're just using it to fix what should have been fixed on his own time." Jae said with a nod, using the money someone gave him to pay their tab. He gave that patron back his change as he thought up a story. He shrugged with a sigh.
"I don't really have interesting stories. I live a pretty boring life when I'm not working here." He said with a slight, shy smile. "I listen to other people's stories. It's nice… especially yours." He finished off with a more confident and happy grin.
@❊ Jaehwan Haha always with the perfect answer. He knew that he could trust the man and sure he would definitely keep trusting him , even if their relationship was just as close as the bar could separate them , he took another sip ? Feeling it's contained starting to mess with his always so sharp senses . " another story is how I taught dipper , you know he dolphin ? How to to catch and trick with a ball and it turns out he got really good with it , actually handling it enough to shoot the ball at my face !! Haha " he grinned recalling the memory for earlier this week . To be honest , he wanted to show Jaehwan around , like visiting the Dolphins and actually reveal his true identity , if he didn't have already . Yet , for now he didn't wanted to care much about it for now . " well the cowardly man seemed really scared haha , I'm not usually harsh in normal as I'm not a violent man , I normally talk my way out of the problems , but I decided to leave him off by the rent and either pay back by helping me . I feel bad to take away money from people if it's it's not necessary . You know ? But well one day I find the right one , after finishing messing around as I do. " He leaned over the bar table and looked up at Ken , tilting his head ." Any stories you wanna tell ?" He asked actually curious about his so ever mysterious friend .
@❊ Jun.K Jaehwan was a great listener. He had to be. He listened to stories all while making drinks for the other patrons as well. He grinned as he mixed a drink for a pretty lady. He didn't know what Jun loved more than women but he was about to find out. He wondered if it was something interesting. It turned out to be not that interesting. A boat. He inwardly sighed. Such boring interests to such an interesting man. He thought he was saying the word "interest" too many times in too many ways in such close succession.
He didn't know about voting business or anything like that but he shrugged silently. He'll wait until his friend is finished with his story, that usually the best way to do it or else he'll get off track. This story made him chuckle and nod. He was definitely a soft man with a soft heart. Of course he would help the lighthouse guy. It was sort of endearing if it wasn't so common for the man to do.
"Well, I wouldn't say "too" soft but you definitely aren't a "hardened man" by many standards. But that's not really a bad thing. You'll make some guy or girl very happy and, if you so choose, be a kind father." He said with a grin. He developed a way of giving advice. Give the good stuff first then go on to improvements. Avoid the word "but".
"Try picking or choosing your battles. Don't help someone if you know you can't. It's okay to say 'no'." He said with a grin.
@❊ Jaehwan The other just let out a chuckle. Ready to spill out today's story as he placed a peace of the boats hull, sighing before he started in today's story " you know what's more precious than women to me ? He first said " before taking a dramatic break to take a sip of his drink , feeling it's strong essence as it fizzled while he swallowed it . " my boat .... You see Jaehwan, I was on a way home from my families islands after a horrifying boring dinner , you know those voting businesses meetings ? And then a storm was just around the corner , it was night , and I swear to you . I was not drunk ! What that happened was that the light house stopped working and I crashed into some rocks ! And then I met up with the one who were supposed to keep that idiotic light house working ! But hell no ! And I can't really force him to pay for the damage either ? " he took another sip feeling quite frustrated " so what I did was that I told him to help me fix it .... You know I didn't have heart to hurt the shy little man. He was simply a huge coward . And Aaaish I'm probably too soft ..." He sighed and looked over at the male . A man who understood him . And he still couldn't remember if this man knew his real name and his real occupation . Minjun could even forget his own orientation if he drank enough . " hey Jaehwan .... What do you think ? Am I too soft ? " Jun.k still felt comfortable though enough to tell about his day , his worries and basically everything to this man , he didn't have much friends as he had been living all of his life in a castle in a far away island . And now moved here to again be stuck in a castle , with no friends . Oh goodness , the male blinked , shaking his head a little. This man had made the drink incredibly strong , the king had a feeling he would literally get an hangover tomorrow
@❊ Jun.K Jaehwan glanced at the clock and then towards the door. His amusing friend and patron should be coming in soon. He always had some story to share and paid him good money. He was always ready to listen and give advice if it was needed. And sometimes when it wasn't. He grinned at that thought just as he came in. He watched as he sat, noticing the look on his face. He wondered what kind of day he had, knowing it wouldn't be a funny story tonight. He nodded at the request, putting more hard liquor in the drink than the other ingredients. "Jun, you know you can call me Jaehwan, right? You've been coming enough times to warrant that, yet you insist on calling me by my work name." He started off lightheartedly, releasing some tension before the story of the day. He gave him a grin as he slid the drink over to him.
Chan will wander off for a while. I really liked it here but I've decided to leave rpr for now. I wish to comeback someday and when I do I hope this rp still exist. Good luck!
I'm sorry but Baekhyun will be leaving now. Life is a but if you guys would have me back I would come back in a few months! All the love and thank you so much for having me, I will miss it here even though I wasn't able to be very active!
