@⚓ Soojung Jongin glanced at her, seeing her smile slightly when he complimented her name. Where had he heard the name before? Maybe it just meant, Jongin had to go back and find out sooner or later, because he knew it was going to bother him every time he saw her. That's if they ever meet again at least.

He let her explain herself as he listened carefully, taking in every detail and word that left her lips. Jongin continued staring outside, hearing how she lived in comfort. So it meant she wasn't someone of too low of a class. Was she a daughter of someone in a high position? Was she in the same class as Jongin? He lived in comfort although he might not be the happiest person on Earth, but nothing bad could ever happen to him. Jongin was close to the king after all, he worked under him for a very long time. Sometimes Jongin even thought it was too long. "I wish everything you're saying now was as easy as you thought. Easier said than done. Not everyone can forget their duties that easily. Especially if you're a workaholic." Jongin said, thinking about himself.

His eyebrow raised slightly, watching her interact with the little boy name, Jaesuk. Come to think of it, Jongin never even spent the time to learn their names. He always watched from afar, it was always like that, ever since his brother disappeared. Seeing how she was about to leave, Jongin just looked down at his feet, kicking the ground below him. "Maybe I should leave soon." He said to himself, looking up at the sky.

Feeling a tug on his hand, Jongin looked down, before hearing Jaesuk's questioned. "Me?" Jongin pointed at himself before the little boy nodded excitedly. Swallowing slowly, Jongin hesitated for a bit before nodding . "Only for a little while, I have other things to do." He said quickly before Jaesuk ran off and Jongin followed him to the field. Soccer was his favorite sport back then. Standing in the middle, Jongin scratched the back of his head. "So... Who's starting?" He asked awkwardly, staring at the ball before the kids started to kick it, and Jongin began to chase it.

@⚓ Jongin At his question, Soojung shook her head. "It's not very common but I don't think it can be considered rare either..and thank you." She bowed her head slightly with a smile on her face at his compliment. She silently listened as he spoke about how friendship was really non-existent. "It's not always like that.." She muttered, choosing on to argue about something like that either. Somehow, hearing him speak gave her a new goal. It was to show him how friendship really did exist and that there really doesn't have to be an intention for someone to befriend someone.

"Someone like me?" Soojung blinked at his words. What in the world did he mean by that? She shook her head to both his guesses. "Neither. I come here simply because I want to help them out. They're people who have practically nothing and they'll need all the help they can get. Now, I'm not looking down on them. It's just that I don't think it's right for me to live in extreme comfort when there's people out there that are suffering." She replied. "Besides, it's nice to come here and just forget about your status and about your duties." She added just as a soccerball rolled up to their feet. She picked it up as a little boy came running up to them.

"Hi Jaesuk." Soojung greeted with a beam on her face as she bent down to hand him the ball. The little boy grinned as he ran up to her and gave her a quick hug before taking the soccerball. "Noona! You're here!" He had a smile on his face. "Come join us!" He tugged at her hand. "I'd love to." She stood up and was about to leave with him when she remembered Jongin. She bent down and whispered something into Jaesuk's ear before he nodded and ran up to Jongin.

"Will you come join us too?" Jaesuk asked, tugging at the older male's hand, looking at him with a hopeful gaze that hoped the older male would join them.

@⚓ Soojung Jongin looked at her as she repeated his name. "I don't get that compliment a lot." He told her, then again, when was the last time he got a compliment that didn't involve his work. Hearing her name rang a bell in the back of his head. He had heard before but he didn't know where he heard it from. Keeping his poker face so she won't be suspicious of him, Jongin nodded hearing her name. "Soojung. It's a nice name. It's not common, I'm guessing?" Jongin asked, raising his eyebrow to find out a little more about her.

Hearing her talk about friends. Jongin couldn't help but let out a bitter chuckle. "I don't believe it." He said shortly before letting out a soft sigh. "People come and go. Friends and family come and go. No one ever stays." He explained, the image of his brother flashing through his head. God, he barely remembered his brother's face. Everyday, slowly, he would forget what his brother and past friend would look like. They both left him for who knows what. "Everyone has intentions when they meet someone, they never coincidentally meet." Jongin said. "What if I had an intention to meet you? You don't know if it's good or bad. Fate isn't real, Soojung." Jongin said her name slowly, just so he could remember it more clearly.

Seeing how there was no reason to argue with her about friendship, Jongin sat down at the door step and continued watching the children as they played. If only he could be as happy as them, his life would be easier but he had too much things to handle in his hands. "So. Why is someone like you coming to a place like this? Were you bored and it became a habit or were you forced to come here?" Jongin asked, his mind still lingering on her name, trying to remember where he had heard it from.
⚓ Soojung 9 years ago
@⚓ Jongin "I know there's lots of crazy people in this world but they most probably won't be able to get to me.." Soojung replied before continuing with "considering the fact that my stallion would most probably kick them right in the face." in her mind rather than saying it out loud. She nodded in reply when he repeated her words.

"Kim.. Jongin?" Soojung repeated his name. "You have a nice name." She smiled as she introduced herself. "I'm Soojung." She didn't mention her last name because she knew, if she'd mention her full name, he'd most likely be able to guess that she was the princess. After all, her name wasn't very common around this place and the whole entire kingdom would know her full name because well, who doesn't know their own princess/former queen's name? It was a sure thing that everybody knew.

Soojung blinked as she watched him speak about friendship. She softened seeing how he spoke about friendship as she watched him watch the kids playing outside. "They're not always fake and full of lies.." She said. "I mean yeah sure there are people whom we can't exactly trust but that doesn't mean everyone out there are the same and would hurt you with no hesitation." She added. "There's still people out there who are genuine and would be that friend who stays by your side through thick and thin." Her voice was soft as she spoke.
⚓ Jongin 9 years ago
@⚓ Soojung Hearing how she answered him, Jongin gave her a questioning look before giving in and taking the lunchbox. "I won't argue with someone who doesn't want it." He muttered before placing it to the side, making sure he remembered to take it. After all, he would be too lazy to make dinner for himself when he gets home. It was quite surprising to Jongin that he never met the girl before since he did come often as well. Maybe they did pass by each other, but Jongin never seemed to notice her. Then again, a lot of times he just dropped things off and left in a hurry because of all the work he had waiting for him.

"You never know, there's a lot of crazy people in this world." Jongin muttered, before shrugging the thought away. Kidnapping, stealing, everything bad, it was normal for someone like Jongin to hear, but he just didn't like being involved with it. Missing and lost people, were the worse when it came to Jongin. Leaning against the counter, Jongin looked down at her, hearing her question. "My name?" He repeated, raising an eyebrow. He debated whether or not to tell her. Then again, what were the chances of him seeing her again? They both came here often and it was the first time they met. After today, if anything, they'll move on with their lives. And she was going to learn his name sooner or later, there was no way she can learn about him if he just told her his name. "Jongin. Kim Jongin." he answered shortly.

Compared to him, she was quite short. "Friends?" Jongin let out a cold chuckle hearing the word before he got back on his feet and started to look around the kitchen again, pretending he was checking around. "I don't believe in friends." He answered simply before brushing his hands against each other, and seeing the kids outside playing. "Friendships aren't real most of the time. They're fake and full of lies." Jongin shrugged, leaning against the door frame as he watched the kids play happily. "They're only temporary."
⚓ Soojung 9 years ago
@Jongin "I really ate earlier though." Soojung told him when he told her to take it. "Besides, if you offered it to me and in return, I offered it to you then you should take it." She retorted. She knew what she was saying probably didn't make much sense but she couldn't really find a better way to convince him to just take it. "Just take it." She nodded her head firmly before turning to clean the utensils once more, making sure to make it extra clean. "Yeah, I do. I come every single time I have time." She replied. "It's pretty much become a routine for me." She continued as she dried the utensils.

Soojung had just been keeping the utensils back in it's original spots when he told her to leave first.

"Nah, it's quite okay." She replied. "I highly doubt anything could happen to me anyways." She told him. It was true. Her stallion who was waiting for her outside was as fast as thunder and would pretty much kick the faces of anyone who tried to hurt her. Despite it being a horse, it was extremely protective over the said girl. "Besides, I usually stay until the children are all asleep before I leave." She explained. "Anyways," She turned to look at him. "What's your name?" She asked, curious. "You don't have to answer me if you don't want to. I just thought since we're probably going to bump into each other again here, we could be friends, y'know?" She quickly added.

Soojung was genuinely curious and she really wanted to befriend him despite him seeming as cold as ice. She figured if someone was as silent as he was, they could be lonely inside and maybe, just maybe they'd appreciate having a friend around to talk to even though they might not meet as often considering the fact that 1. they were strangers and 2. she didn't even know who he was.
⚓ Jongin 9 years ago
@⚓ Soojung Being the stubborn person he was, Jongin picked up the lunch box and walked towards her. Standing right next to her, he watched as she washed the utensils. Just by seeing the way she washed it, he can tell she was inexperience when it came to it. "Either way, I offered it to you first so it means you should take it." Jongin replied, placing it down next to her. "I ate earlier too." Jongin lied, since he had been working the whole day and came to the village right after. But it was only right for him to give it to the lady, plus she put in a lot of wok to bring it.

Seeing how she was determined to wash the utensils herself, Jongin looked around and started cleaning around the kitchen. Hearing her speak, he glanced at her before he started sweeping the floor. "I come when I have time, when I'm not busy." He replied, there was no point of lying to her since the village people might tell her about him anyways, although they don't know much about him. "You probably come here often, don't you?" Jongin asked, throwing the trash away.

It wasn't usual for Jongin to talk to people he just met, so at the moment, he felt awkward. He liked working in silence. Finishing up his things, he went over to her, helping her dry the utensils without asking her if he could. Something about her was so familiar, but Jongin didn't want to assume anything. Looking outside, the sun was starting to set as Jongin yawned softly. "If you need to leave first, go ahead. It's getting late and it might be dangerous for someone like you." He told her honestly, before going back to silence. He probably sounded like a dead fro every time he spoke. Emotionless and boring.
⚓ Soojung 9 years ago
@Jongin Truth to be told, Soojung had never ever had to wash kitchen utensils before so for the past few minutes, she'd been silently staring at the ladle, kettle and pot in confusion.

"How exactly do you wash this thing.." She muttered. Even when she'd been taking care of herself, she'd never had to wash the dishes because her companion was usually the one to wash the utensils while she cooked and when she's in the palace, obviously she's never had to even touch kitchen utensils considering the fact that she was once princess-turned queen- turned princess once more. Never in her life did she ever have to even think about cleaning kitchen utensils.

As she looked at the kitchen utensils, she heard footsteps entering the kitchen so she looked up to see the male from earlier. A soft smile graced her lips as she nodded in acknowledgement when he told her about the extra lunchbox. When he'd told her to eat it, she shook her head.

"No, it's okay. You can have it. I ate earlier." It was true. She would never let herself starve nor would her servants back in the palace. They probably fed her with a meal that was more than enough for two so she wasn't the very least hungry. Besides, she was trying to be nice to the other person. "I'll wash the utensils since I used them." She told him as she started washing the utensils. "Thank you though." She smiled as she looked at him before turning back to the used utensils, keeping quiet as she washed the utensils.

"So uhm.." Soojung spoke up after a few seconds of silence. "Do you usually help out here?" She asked, curious. If he did, she wondered why'd she'd never seen him here before but if it was otherwise then that'd explain things.

@⚓ Soojung Hearing a soft voice behind him, Jongin stopped invading the fridge. He didn't turn around to look at her but only listened to what she had to say. So she did have food for them. It did save Jongin time. Letting out a sigh, Jongin stood up and his heels. His eyes landed on the girl as she pulled out the lunch boxes from her bag. Walking over, Jongin glanced at her before reaching for the lunch boxes, holding it in his hand. He knew she felt as if the atmosphere was awkward and he didn't blame her. Everyone felt awkward when they were with Jongin. He was just too cold for them, and some people even fnd him boring. He was an overachiever and a workoholic, he couldn't help it.

After gathering the lunch boxes, Jongin made his way towards the children. "It's time to eat, stop playing." He called before seeing the children run over to him. Bending down, he smiled softly at them, giving each and every one of them a lunch box. He even made sure that every child had one. When he was done distributing them, Jongin had one extra box left in his hand. Placing it down, Jongin went to help the children. He would help feed the young ones, and go around and made sure everyone had a glass of water.

When things were settled, Jongin made his way back towards the kitchen. "The extra lunch box." He muttered, going back to get it before heading for his original destination. Jongin's eyes met her as he stayed silent, examining her from top to bottom. It was a fact that her appearance was above average, her long hair fell perfectly against her back, and for a girl her height wasn't bad. He let out a soft cough before placing the lunch box on he counter and sliding it towards her. "There was an extra one. Eat it." He said, in his usual monotone before he walked towards the dirty utensils to help her clean. "Just eat. I'll do this." Jongin muttered, before rolling up his sleeves, his eyes glancing at the young lady from time to time.
⚓ Soojung 9 years ago
@Jongin Soojung blinked in surprise when she saw a male whom she didn't usually step into the kitchen but since he didn't say anything, she didn't yet either. Maybe she would later. After all, if they were both here to help out the sickly, might as well talk to each other and get along well, right? Since she'd already poured all of the medicine for the sickly, she turned towards the other set of food she'd brought. Back in the palace, she had gotten her personal maid to get some food from the royal kitchen so that she could bring them along for the kids to enjoy.

Soojung had just only turned around when the same male from before threw the tray onto the counter causing her to flinch from surprise. She grew even more speechless when he started searching the place for food, completely ignoring her presence. "Uhm.." She spoke up. "I brought some some food for the kids.." She said. She honestly had doubts that the was going to even listen to what she'd just said but she turned back to the counter before beginning to pull out several lunch-boxes from her bag.

"Could you please bring it to them?" Soojung asked politely before gesturing to the kitchen utensils she'd used earlier. "I still have to clean up over here." She said. "And I don't want the children to starve because of that." She quickly added before placing the lunch boxes onto the kitchen counter. It was the first time she'd felt so awkward in her life especially since she rarely ever encountered people who seemed as cold as he did. Furthermore, if he was here helping out, she'd expect him to be warmer since most of the people she'd met while she was helping out at that village were warm and friendly, almost always full of chatter so technically he was the complete opposite of what she'd expect people who helped out around to be or at least, that was based on what she'd observed from the two times he'd walked in.

@⚓ Soojung While Jongin was helping the elders and sick patients, he heard the children calling outside. Ignoring them since he thought they were playing, Jongin continued to help the people. Before Jongin could leave the building, his eyebrow rose, watching the workers give out things to the people. Walking towards him, Jongin called out his name before looking at the materials. "Where did this come from?" Jongin asked, reaching for the items and examining them. They were good quality materials, even better than the ones he had usually brought. But where did it come from, they couldn't have possibly stole it... right? "The young lady that comes here often, she gave it to us. She was the other person, along with you, who helped us a lot." the worker replied before Jongin nodded and let the man continue to do what he was told.

Jongin made his way back to the elder from earlier, helping him fix his bed. Sweat was rolling down Jongin's forehead and before he could wipe it away, a little girl came, placing a towel on his forehead. Smiling slightly, Jongin ruffled her hair. "Thank you." He replied, looking around for his things before handing her a bag. "There's books in here and pens, why don't you go share with the other kids and learn? When I'm done, I'll teach you." Jongin told the girl before she nodded and ran out the building.

Once he let the elder lay back on his bed, Jongin stood up and brushed his hands against his bed. Letting out a tired sigh, Jongin headed towards the kitchen to brew the medicine. But before he could step in, a loud voice was heard and his eyes landed on a female who was pouring medicine. Jongin had a straight face on as he stepped in. Ignoring the girl's present and not greeting her, he examined the medicine. "This isn't ordinary medicine." Jongin thought to himself, eyeing the medicine and trying to remember where he exactly saw it. It was so familiar.

Not saying a word, Jongin reached for the tray and placed the bowls on them, making sure none of it spilled. He didn't know who the female was, what she looked liked, or why she was at the village, the only thing he knew about her was the sound of her voice. Jongin could care less though. Meeting new people wasn't exactly his type of thing. He was more to himself. All he wanted to do was get his job done and have the rest of the day to himself. Jongin didn't have time to introduce himself or stand around to talk to people. He had his own life to worry about.

Picking up the tray, Jongin left the kitchen without saying a word. Going back to the people, he began passing the bowls out one by one. "Drink slowly and carefully, it's still hot." He warned them, helping a few of them with their medicine. Going back to the kitchen, Jongin threw the tray down on the counter before searching the place for food to cook for the children. "Do they have anything here?" Jongin muttered to himself, letting out a frustrated sigh.

Still clad in his gear, Baekho snuck back towards the lake, making sure he stayed hidden this time. Who knew what the princess might say when no one was listening.

@☾ Baekho Sunny looked at the man in awe and shock at the same time, feeling bad for him but knowing he defended for his side. It was t hard to see that he was uncomfortable about the situation so the princess took it apon herself to end it about his past. "Oh I see. I'm terribly sorry for bringing the topic up. Do forgive me." She bows at the male.

@⚓ Sunny Baekho's eyes widened as she suddenly inquired about his scars. He looked down at his chest, the white lines and patches stretching over his body like a painting. "T-they... Uhm..." He hesitated, feeling his breath hitching in his throat as he tried to come up with something to say. "T-they're battlescars," he mumbled quickly, hoping the explanation would suffice for the curious princess.

@☾ Baekho "Don't be sorry. I understand. You just have to exuse my actions. I can get out of hand sometimes." Sunny chuckled and looked at the male as she slowly let go of his face. "Nonsense. You said that already sweetheart." She chuckled softly and smiled wide at the male I front of her, studying his face, moving down to his chest. His chest was filled with scars, some so big she thought he should have gotten stitches do it. "Whatever you wish Baekho." She bowed her head before looking back at him. "Those marks....may I ask how you have gotten them?"

@⚓ Sunny "N-no, no, I'm sorry, My lady, I just..." Baekho begun, fumbling with his words to try to find the right ones, but he just kept falling back on the same ones again. "I'm just e-embarrassed," he stuttered out, feeling his blush grow as she stared back into his eyes. She was beautiful, something to be expected of a princess. Baekho couldn't deny that even just looking into her eyes made a light tingle run up his spine. "N-no, I... i understand, I just..."
He took a shaky breath as he felt her hands on his cheeks. "I t-think it's just better that I treat you with the r-respect your title holds."

@☾ Baekho "Well then...you don't know what your missing darling. You don't have to look as me if you wish. I won't make you" she sighed in defeat as she didn't wanna seem to outgoing and scare the poor man away. Seeing the way the male was acting, it was difficult for her to win any argument against him. He was isolated to himself it seemed and she didn't want to give him a bad experience with a princess.
She felt slightly offended by the other holding back sounds and emotions from her. "Is something I said amusing? Or shocking? Did I say something wrong?" She looked down, feeling like things have turned over a new stone. "I could be considered just a regular person if you choose. Or a princess. Whatever your more comfortable with." She says softly and looks down. Sunny stared into the mans eyes, seeing nothing but pure beauty. "I'm not all royal you know. That's what I'm getting at here." She explained again before holding the mans face softly in her hands. "Your looks....there....."
⚓ Soojung 9 years ago
@Jongin It was just yet another ordinary day for Soojung, a completely bored princess who honestly had no other things to do in her free time aside from learning etiquette from the old maids, as well as listen to other younger maids gossip as they walk about on their chores. It was also one of those times when Soojung wanted to sneak out like she always did so putting on her civilian clothes, she snuck out of the castle when nobody was watching on horseback.

"Good job, Shadow." She beamed as she gentle pat her horse that was beginning to slow down it's pace. "Let's head over to the village now, shall we?" Her horse neighed in reply as Soojung tugged on it's reins to direct it over to the said village. Soon, the speed picked up and she was racing over to the village. On the sides of her horse hung two sacks and around her was a satchel. Oh yes, she was well prepared for today's event. What event? Well, Soojung was heading over to a village that was almost completely filled with sickly people from all ages and she would often head there to simply well, help them out. She didn't think of them as charity work, oh no. In fact, they were almost like family to her and family helps each other out so here she was heading towards them like she did every two days or sometimes, everyday.

She soon came to a stop in front of the village's gate. Shadow, her stallion was used to the roads by now and knew just when and where to stop. "Thank you, Shadow. Now wait here." She got off her horse, got the two sacks and headed into the village. She didn't tie her horse's reins to any wooden pole because she knew that he was quite smart and obedient for a horse and besides, he was stubborn and would most probably throw off anybody that dared ride it. In fact, Shadow was already famous for his bad temper and it was quite a wonder how the young princess could ride it let alone be close to him.

"Is anyone here?" Soojung called out as she stepped towards the village. Almost at once at her calling, children surrounded her as she greeted them with a beam. "Hi!" She greeted them.

"Soojung! Soojung! You're here again!" One of the older kids called out and she smiled before nodding.

"Yes I am. Look, I brought you guys gifts!" Soojung held out a sack to the oldest kid who started to give it out to the other kids. She stepped towards the building that was filled to the brim with sick people with her other sack. She walked in and bowed her head slightly as she greeted everyone before handing the sack over to one of the workers there. "Please give it out to everyone. There's clothes, blankets and other necessities. Also, there are some food ingredients inside so leave it at the kitchen, I'll cook something up for everyone later." The worker nodded at the instructions before heading off to give everything out.

"I hope there's enough for everyone.." Soojung muttered to herself before shaking her head and going to the kitchen just as Jongin came in so she hadn't seen him. Once she was done cooking up some healthy simple porridge, she started to brew the medicine. Despite being a royalty, when Soojung had gone missing a while back, she'd learnt to cook and take care of herself so now, she knew how to cook as well as brew medicine. Once it was all done, she placed the kettle of medicine and several stacks of bowls onto the tray before bringing it out to the main hall where all of the sick patients were. There was one thing in common among all of the sickly and that it was the fact that they all caught the same sickness so brewing medicine was an easy task for them since they all had to be cured by the same thing.

"Alright, can someone help me give out the medicine?" Soojung asked out loud as she began pouring the medicine into the once empty bowls.

@⚓ Sunny "I c-can't look," Baekho answered, feeling his bottom lip shivering nervously, even as he tried to keep his cool. He was just hoping that this was a dream or something, that he had just drifted off when he enjoyed the water and that the cold was getting to his head. But the woman didn't disappear. She kept being just as real and just as straight forward towards him.
He chocked back a sound of surprise at her confession, quickly in a breath to hide how confused it had all made him. Was this princess crazy? Or was this just how she was? Constantly flirtatious to everyone.
"S-such a state, my lady?" Baekho asked confused, slowly turning to find her even closer than before. He could feel his heart beating a steady rhythm in his chest as he focused on the woman's eyes. "I d-don't understand." He didn't move away when she reached out her hand, knowing it was better to not go against what a princess did.

@☾ Baekho Sunny pouted softly at the male as he still disobeyed. She decided to give up and allow him to do as he pleased. A soft grin plastered itself onto her face as she saw him turn away with a blush. "Can't? Can't what darling?" She asked with a sly chuckle hinted into her voice. "Your too handsome darling. Please. It's not much I want you to be polite it's because I want to look into your beautiful eyes." She explained to the male, blushing slyly herself "Me neither. I never I countered a man in such state. But I have surely seen at least one before." She gave a chuckle. "You if it makes you feel any better....I'm half and half. Half princess and half civilian. My father is a king and my mother is a mistress who was previously from out village. So you can speak to me as normal person if you feel more comfortable in that state." She smiled and slowly reached to touch his face softly.
