@song dahye With her answer, Jungkook nodded his head, portraying his understanding towards her indifferent response. "I've been keeping myself busy with my studies, learning new spells, making new potions, discovering new ways to mess with people through the use of transfiguration. The usual, really." He mused, letting a hearty chuckle and accidentally spilling a few droplets of his beverage onto his robe. With a flick of his wand, he summoned a handkerchief in order wipe away the delicious substance from his clothing. " How has your uh-... dragon-ing been going?" The younger inquired, a bit unsure of what to label her interest. Nevertheless, he was sure that she would understand the inquiry. Awaiting her answer and feeling a bit chilly, Jungkook rose from his comfy spot on the couch and joined the Ravenclaw girl in the floor, feeling the waves of heat tickle his face. With the new position, he turned to face her, giving her a kind smile and tilting his head slightly ajar, curious of her answer.
@jeon jungkook Candidly, Dahye slinked down directly in front of the fireplace, soaking up the radiating warmth it provided with the invisible yet fondly felt wisps of heat. In her hands lay a mug, warmed just a tad above room temperature---that she sipped from casually, waiting until he was done with his cordial musings before she would answer. "I know. But I don't as well." An airy laugh escaped her lips as her eyes bore whimsically into the fire, admiring it's many-toned plumes. "I'm pleasantly surprised you actually want to hold a conversation with me. I appreciate that fact very much. So I shall answer, that things have been the same around here for me. Mundane schedule, tests, scoldings, hijinks, shenanigans....." Quickly, she turned her head to face him, scooting over in front of the fire as if to invite him with her posture, before asking softly, "What's been going on with you?" Her fingers mindlessly tapped at the mug, before she set it down in favor of stationing her hands in a suspension in mid-air, the warmth circling her frigid digits, finally bringing back vivacity in them from being stuck in the cold for so long.
@song dahye Wand in hand, Jungkook poked at the fire, watching as the flames contorted, rose and fell. It was almost beautiful. In his off time, he fancied himself a mild pyromaniac. Nevertheless, he glided towards the couch and grabbed his piping mug of tea along with a croissant, relishing in the taste. "I have my ways." He replied, glancing at the Ravenclaw girl with a smug grin. "It's not like I have anything better to do, you know? Anyway- how have things been?" He inquired, another bite following quickly afterwards and a few minute crumbles found themselves falling into his lap. Jungkook glided his lissome digit along the rim of his mug, collecting the remnants of condensation and observing as it gathered again almost instantly. "I just felt like- you know we've been acquaintances for a while now. I just figured it was about time that we had an actual conversation, you know?"
@jeon jungkook It was all an eager rush since the clock ticked forth, her ears buzzing with heightening excitement as she nearly leaped out of her chair to bound towards the tower as soon as her professor lifted her wand a smidgeon to signal the dismissal of class. It was certainly odd for her to be so eager to get the hell out of dodge, but between the two Ravenclaws, being timely was most certainly a competition. So when she thought she was in the clear, she paused just a moment before entering the common room, and summoned a basket of croissants to lay overflowing in her arms, clearing as she turned into the last corridor only to see the fireplace lit, and the spry boy with a smugly complacent simper on his face. Dahye rolled her eyes and snorted as he mused. "How the hell did you get here so fast?" Delicately, she set the basket down before glissading laxly over to his figure, an eyebrow raising while she chuckled heartily. "In a hurry to see me?"
@song dahye With a clouded mind and little to no motivation to do anything other than worry about his rendezvous later in the day, Jungkook managed to royally disrupt his Transfiguration multiple times. From the dropping of countless glass bottles to the confusion of ingredients resulting in an explosion, Jungkook explored every disruption in the book by pure accident. Nevertheless, he patiently awaited the silken words to spill past his professors tiers; "Class dismissed." Once the words collided with Jungkook's eardrums, the boy was out of the door and bolted for the Ravenclaw tower, picking up two mugs, a few small pastries, and a small array of beverages for the pair to choose from. Naturally, the boy arrived first and flicked his wand in the direction of the fireplace, igniting the embers lying within. With little hesitation, he set out everything and patiently awaited the arrival of the fellow Ravenclaw. The subtle click of heels against the concrete floor hinted towards her arrival and he greeted her at the door. "Long time, no see." He mused.
@kim yongsun I dipped my head back and let out an anxious roar when you reminded me about the Ministry's Law's about beasts----specifically XXXXX beasts such as the one I hold so dearly----that I've known for years upon years now. When you start going on about bringing a professor into the already quite complicated equation, I shook my head vehemently and struggled to control my labored breathing. "NO! No---we can't let anyone else know. Take me to where you found him and I can handle it. I'm his keeper, I can.....help him." I gulped as I nodded towards the forest, motioning for you to carry onwards as I started stumbling my way into the treeline, hurriedly trying to cover as much ground as I could, for a sheer blanket of panic swept over me at not only the thought of my Felix being gravely hurt, but the fact that I could be chastised and prosecuted for doing what I love, and worse......having to live with Felix's impending execution if anyone from the Ministry did find out.
As we began traversing through the woods, wands out in defense---I spoke back towards you in a softer, more relaxed tone once I got a sufficient grip on myself. "Let me just show you to him, Solar. Once you meet him you'll understand why I'm doing what I'm doing. I was MADE for this. I can teach others that dragons can be companions, not loathsome beasts only bred for their pelts and valuable horns." Rigidly speaking and in posture, I never looked back, my eyes scanning the entire forestry, through the thick and winding foliage, until I paused to heave a sigh. "Yongsun, if they find out I am in possession of a dragon, they'll execute him....." I finally picked my gaze up and latched onto yours, before promptly nodding at you. "If not for my sake, for his....."
With my eyes I plead, before I gingerly withdrew my wand and flicked it in the air, a concealment charm dissipating right before our eyes, the magical boundaries rippling away to reveal a rather large nesting area in a clearing of trees. It was empty of course, for Felix wandered elsewhere in search of God knows what. Solemnly, I turn to you, showcasing his safe space with open arms before I insist somberly, "Please tell me where you spotted him, in relation to this area. It's imperative we get to him fast...." I nod firmly, before walking up to a tree that stood just outside the concealment charm, my eyes catching a certain glint off of the dark wooden trunk of the tree, spotting sap oozing from a porous opening. Intently, I ducked my head down to examine the hole, my eyes widening in realization before I groan with frustration. "Centaurs...." It was the opening created by the point of an arrow, signaling that the resident centaur herd had unwittingly stumbled upon his hideout, and probably spooked him, instigating Felix to lash-out which ultimately caused an effect of them defensively using their weapons against him.
I followed the you without question, I had done the right thing...right? I knew, I couldn't just leave that poor dragon in pain, injured, and alone in the woods...but what price was I going to pay for my kindness? You seemed to know something, something you weren't telling me, you were way too worried about some randomly injured dragon. That's when I got that creeping, clenched feeling in my gut, and I had hunch that you must have some connection to the beast. Not that, that was /bad/ or anything...but that was very much against the rules, and not only against the school rules, but also against the actual /law/. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the best at following the rules...but this? This was a little too much for me... I glanced down at the your hand that tightly gripped my wrist, as you pulled me along, and out of the Ravenclaw dorms.
I was mildly surprised that when you touched me with yout slender, delicate hand, that I didn't have some awful, incoherent vision, but at the same time it just confused me more. I shook my head physically however, now wasn't the time to ponder the complexity of my life or my strange gift, er, curse. The two of us moved quickly but quietly out into the courtyard and into the chilly not air. You were only wearing your silk night gown, and your long cardigan sweater, and a pair of tennis shoes. You must be freezing, I thought as your voice pulled me out of my head quickly. I looked at you as you spoke, so I was right after all...you did have something to with the dragon, this dragon, "Felix." Biting my lower lip, I groaned inwardly, I regretted going into the Forbidden Forest a little now, this was definitely grounds for expulsion for the two of us, and that was a risk I wasn't sure I was willing to take. "Dahye...you know this isn't just breaking school rules right? This is breaking probably at least like...five actual /laws/! I..." I wanted to help you...and the dragon...I loved animals, and I didn't want to this Felix to be in pain or to get even more injured but...was I willing to go along with this?
The two of us paused in the Courtyard, as I yanked my wrist out of your hand, "Listen...Felix, was badly hurt, I think we should tell someone, maybe the Professor of Care of Magical Creatures, he would know what do better than either of us right? We don't have to tell anyone else but...you didn't see how bad it was..." Should I go with you? Should I leave and go back to the dorms and leave you to fend for yourself? No...that wasn't who I was, I couldn't do that. But perhaps, it actually /would/ be better to tell a professor. I watched nervously as you paced back and forth in front of me, and then, you abruptly stopped and faced me again, your hand gripping at your necklace.
@kim yongsun I hastily combed my slender digits through my hair into a messy bun, swallowing thickly as my ears perked up at what you were saying. While suddenly snapping my head towards you with wide, patronizing eyes, I hiss under my breath, "You went into the Forbidden Forest? At night---" Blink after blink registered through my brain as I tucked in my collar and sunk my teeth into my lip forebodingly, because well---this wasn't ending up well. The deep chocolatey tone of my eyes left a glint as I ushered you out of the quarters, for the sole reason that if anyone woke up and saw us two conversing---presumably about something one might deem "fishy"----we were gonna be ed.
While listening intently to every word that dripped off your tongue, I wound my fingers tightly around your wrist and tugged you out and down the hall, heaving small worrisome groans under my breath when I finally hear you admit you saw a dragon. Surely by now you must have known that something was up, due to my overtly concerned demeanor, and therefore I decided to spill the beans and come clean, before things got too messy.
As soon as we stumbled into the courtyard before the treeline to the Forbidden Forest, I yanked you aside and hallowed a hefty sigh, while my fingers clawed through my already disheveled bun, and I paced fastidiously before you. "Oh my god, Solar....you---you can't tell anyone." I mumbled under my breath to start off, my hands hanging down and patting at my thighs as I tried to explain as fast as I could, so we could then go check of Felix, who if you said was in bad condition---might be in serious pain---which was a thought that brought me a substantial amount pain as well. I'd like to think that bonded dragon and trainer are connected, so perhaps that was the reason I was feeling such distress tonight. I worriedly clutched the talisman that hung from my neck, a talisman of a deep indigo-blue sapphire that Felix had brought to and given me, a signal--- a warrant if you will--- that he had finally bonded with me after so many months of tirelessly training him. Anxiously, I lifted my head to meet your gaze, before speaking calmly. "He's....he's my dragon. His name is Felix. I---I need to go check on him. You can come, but you have to promise me you're not gonna tell him. You have to, Solar. Please keep my secret." The last sentence came out a little shaky, as my palm squeezed the talisman.
@song dahye This was all very strange, Yongsun was sure, and the older witch obviously thought so as well. But at least, she woke up quickly, and she didn't even need Yongsun to explain anything before she was already up and getting dressed. For some reason, that sent a feeling of comfort through the younger girl, most others would've probably not listened to her and waved her off, and gone back to sleep without a second thought. Taking a step back to give Dahye some room to stand and dress, she bit her lower lip. What on earth was she going to tell Dahye? She could very well turn her into one of the teachers, though...Yongsun had a feeling she wasn't the type to do that. So with a deep breath, the younger girl began to explain in a whisper, careful not to wake any of the other Ravenclaw girls. "Well, I was going out for a nighttime walk and I...well I, managed to get /lost/ in the Forbidden Forest..." the younger paused and took a deep breath, shifting her weight nervously foot to foot. If she got caught or turned in, it was over for her, she didn't have powerful family members in the Wizarding World who could help her if she was expelled...it would all be over for her...
Groaning inwardly, she dredged up the courage to quietly continue her story, "Listen, I didn't know who else I could go to, who else I could trust, I know you barely know me, and you have every right to not help me, or to turn me in but...when I was out there in the woods, I /saw/ something...a dragon...and he was badly injured. I couldn't tell what was wrong, or what had hurt him...but it looked like something had happened to his right wing, and right flank and you...you are the only one besides a professor, that knows anything about this kind of stuff so I...came to you." Her whole story came out in a rush of whispered words, and she didn't have any time to catch her breath until the end. Yongsun eyed the older witch, as she pulled on her second sneaker, dressed in her silk nightgown, her long black hair, glistened in the moon light that streamed in from the closed window in the corner. Dahye's hair looked even blacker in the darkness, contrasting the light dirty blonde of Yongsun's hair. The two were a peculiar looking pair.
@kim yongsun Earlier that evening Dahye had made sure to triple check her placement of Felix, for if he got too restless during a sleepless night, the dragon would often go wandering throughout the forest---which at night was well, not a good idea. So she did as she always did, she tucked him in, casted a concealment charm around his nest, and hurried back to the dorms where she nonchalantly passed off her absence as her taking some extra time in the ladies bathroom to groom and tidy herself before bed. On the down low however, her mind was plagued with doubts and worry that Felix would wander astray that night, so suffice to say, she did not sleep very well.
A few hours into her own restless night, she was awoken by a familiar voice----her puffy eyes slowly opening to reveal the face before her. "Solar....." She croaked, still half asleep as she shifted to prop herself up on her elbows, the fine, velvety silks of her nightwear making small bouts of friction-caused noise as she shuffled to sit up before the other girl. "Uhm---what the hell is it?" Dahye half-grumbled, as she stood up to throw on a jacket---for it has ben a cold season so far----before slipping on some tennis shoes. Before Yongsun even got the chance to speak, she readied herself for whatever was possible, for slight panic hit her when she wondered why Solar of all people came to speak of her, because spikes in the pit of her stomach inclined her to think something was up with Felix. But how would Solar know? She couldn't, right?
@song dahye An invisibility cloak sounded wonderful just about now, Yongsun muttered inwardly to herself. She had been incredibly stupid tonight, and was being even more stupid now. She had broken curfew, and gone into the Forbidden Forest alone, that was /two/ rules broken. And now, she was pretty positive, she was breaking at /least/ twenty at once. She was hurrying through the dark, empty halls, and making her way towards the Ravenclaw tower. The young witch was worried, but she couldn't exactly tell just anyone. There was only one person who she could talk to about this, that wasn't a member of the staff. And that was her Housemate Dahye. Everyone knew that dragons were her thing, and thats exactly what Yongsun had found in the Forest. But he had been /injured/ and Yongsun had no idea what to do with an injured dragon. Biting her lower lip, the young witch quickly answered the riddle, and quietly made her way into the Ravenclaw common room. Now, all she had to do was remember which bed Dahye slept in...she didn't want to wake up the wrong person in the middle of the night.
Creeping up the steps and into the girls dorm, the witch glanced around the room full of beds, searching for only one face. Finally, over in the right corner of the room, she saw a pile of books on dragons, and assumed that must be Dahye's bed. Tiptoeing over, she neared the bed, and squinted her in eyes in the dark...it looked like her Housemate in the dark...so...she reached out a hand and placed it on the girl' shoulder, and gave her a light shake. "Dahye...Hey...wake up..." She whispered, hoping she wouldn't wake anyone else up. "I need your help..."
Can Calvin have a one month hiatus? I'm pretty much just going through alot of stuff and can't emotionally handle this right now. Like, I've literally lost the will to live, to be honest.
