@taeyong l. › eros。 What made it worse was his calmness. Never had she ever been used to people being calm to her anger, since her anger usually derived from theirs. Her anger was usually kept at bay, since the person she saw most was her child, and like most children, her child wasn't fond of Hyeran's piqued attitude. Hyeran kept her vexation towards the world, and the things that made her in the position she was, to herself. She kept it in, like an active volcano ready to spurt out words of fury and hurt.

Her chin tucked into her neck, and she loathed how his words can go against her just like that, how good he is at arguments. Their squabbles weren't new to either of them, though they were often one-sided. "The child is yours, yes." Her gaze met his again, and she stood straighter to not lose face - though she knew at this rate it's inevitable. "B-But I never expected you, of all people, to be here. How did you even know where we were? That we were in the country?" Maybe it was coincidence, or maybe it was a plan that had been formulated from the years spent agonizing over his lost child. However, Hyeran was ignorant to his current situation, and his desires, and that accusation seemed far fetched.

She shook her head in dismay, she was getting too ahead of herself, and carried her expectations too high. Her fists clenched at her sides, the huff came from her lips felt like an anchor had been added to the air. “Taeyong,” She started, the name had almost felt like it had been lost in translation of her memories over the years. “I didn’t let you see my child for all this time for a reason.” Some suggested it was a childish reason, but the forgotten dalliance had made Hyeran weary. Not only did Hyeran have to raise herself to being a grown woman, but the child she bore as well.

She didn't want to let Taeyong see the child, not because Hyeran was selfish, but because to her, he didn't have to go through nearly as much as she did, from just one night. “So I really think it would be best if you-”

The overwhelming amount of children making their exit of the building cut her off, and she heard a small voice in the crowd call out “Mom!” and Hyeran knew her warning was too late.

+ the wait was fine -- i didn't mind it, honestly. the wait was worth such a reply.

@siyoon y. › cerberus。 It was a sight to behold - such a creature put in charge of little ones who ran around him, smiling, giggling, poking at him. She knew the male could handle it, even if he himself didn't enjoy the company of little ones all that well. But she did. She enjoyed watching their smiling faces race by, their cheerful banters, their squeals of happiness. Perhaps it was because she was a woman - incapable of not loving little ones with her entire being. She cooed softly as a little hand tugged on her skirt, a shell laying in the tiny palm as a sweet little girl offered it up to Sangbi as if to say "this belongs to you". She graciously accepted the tiny shell and placed it in her pocket, tucking it away safely as the little girl ran off to play with her friends.

It was almost comical the way Siyoon ran up to her and saluted, Sangbi having to stofle her own coo at the grown male before nodding her head in approval. If anyone could find a certain child amidst a sea of them, it would have to be Cerberus. But she wondered... why had he taken such a job? If he despised the little ones so much what made him willingly take up the position? Perhaps it was his innate sensibility to guard. After all, who better to guard children than the Underworld's very own guard dog? It may be a conundrum to some, but Sangbi could see it well.

She watched with stormy grey eyes as he went to and fro, checking the windows and the tables, each for the requested child. And she was growing anxious. By now he should have had the child in tow, ready to leave. Her eyes grew wide when he returned - a soft smile gracing his features - and told her that he couldn't find the child. No. No. No, no, no, no, no. The word slipped from in quick succession as she looked around the room frantically. She knew what the child looked like - she saw him with his parents this morning! With a panic ladden expression she whipped around the room, looking at each child's face before looking up at Siyoon with utter horror, mouthing a frantic "where is he?!" in the male's direction.

"Okay, okay... i need to calm down," she whispered, taking deep breaths, holding them in and then releasing them slowly. "We need to find him. His parents are leaving soon. Could he have gotteb past you? Maybe when someone else was picking up their child?" The woman was short of biting her nails as she bit down on her lower lip, brows practically sewn together in horror.

@hyeran j. › psyche。 Against the polished vinyl tiles of the building, Taeyong's footsteps echo. The resonance revives an inkling of nostalgia in him; a reminder of the days in marbled corridors, of a time that was not quite as hasty. He wants to think it was an epiphany that came to him that morning as fleeting as it was, coaxing him with short promises of an eased conscience. Their clandestine meetings ceased long ago, and he has grown all the more insouciant ever since.

In his mind, she still remains the fiery enigma that he had met her as. Back then she was able to inadvertently seize all the attention on herself like a goddess out of a phantasmagoria, and he too was entangled in every fibre of her being. What had they even been like? At one point her hand was not afraid to search for his or to look solely for him among the influx of people, yet Taeyong knows his position in this. He's hesitant to admit that perhaps it had been his selfish actions that inflicted such maelstroms upon her. Barriers alike kept him apart from her—but for all the more reasons. Confidence carries him to the daycare as well as an unborn affinity to his own child, a four year old he had not even interacted with.

To say he expected her outburst would be an understatement, she was actually more collected than he had prepared for. He hears her words first before he sees her, although the livid aura gave herself away more before anything. Looking into her eyes he finds tangible emotions rising to the surface and in that moment, remorse masks his entire being completely. Without her voice he wouldn't have even recognized her, her appearance had changed completely as if channeling a new beginning with the transformation. "What do you mean? Seeing our child, of course." His brows knit together, he can't be irked when he knows what an underlying factor he plays in her distress. "Do you not allow me to, is she not my child, Hyeran?" Her name sits foreign to him, and it doesn't carry the same meaning. The noise of unbothered children distracts him briefly, as if a sense in his being expects one of them to be his child.

• that's okay! it helped in working out the background so thank you! sorry for the long wait, love. •

@sangbi l. › siren。 He hates all of them. Every single, sniveling little insignificant - "Hey, don't touch that!" he exclaims, jumping forward to drag the child away as a tower of toy bricks crashes to the floor. Letting out a deep breath while holding the kid in his arms Siyoon allows his shoulders to sag in relief. Olympus knew someone would have his head if any of them got hurt, more so if they were under his direct supervision - which they were, at the moment. Sniffing once to put his annoyance at bay the babysitter let the little boy go with a clipped warning that probably went right over his head.

"Stupid kids." he muttered under his breath, glancing to the clock and wondering how much longer he had to wait to announce sleepy time. Anything to get them to be quiet!

Coming up from the ground and adjusting his shirt Siyoon almost didn't hear the familiar voice calling his name until they continued to speak. He turned his head to see the concierge standing in the doorway, jogging up to her and giving a salute when she finished. "Just give me a second, and I'll have him ready for you." he replied, somehow managing a friendly grin despite his current situation before walking off to search for the little bugger. It proved harder than he thought, confusing Siyoon a bit because normally he was able to find them easily enough. The brief thought of the child leaving the room passes his mind, but that's confusing as well because the dog inside him knows he would have seen him leave. Siyoon even glances at the window, but it's safety locked so none of the kids can get outside.

At this point his heart rate has started to speed up a bit because he's really never lost one of them before. He never thought he would, but it's becoming clear as day that he probably has when he searches the daycare high and low and still can't find him. While he also thinks about making the whole round again Siyoon knows it would be useless, almost dragging his feet as he returns to the siren in the doorway. Putting on his most amicable smile - though it's tinted by worry at the edges - he clasps his hands together and prepares to deliver the news.

"Well, uh, Sangbi," he starts, still not used to saying her name because their meetings are usually so brief. "He - the kid - doesn't seem to be in here right now..."

@taeyong l. › eros。 + did i say two kids ??? i meant one -- okno i didn't bUT I CHANGED MY MIND she can have just one kid. also -- if you are confused i just thought that maybe he saw her around the hotel and was like "oh she was pregnant i know it so the kid must be at the daycare" yeah ok. IDK if thats god modding but i hope it helps?? if not its kinda open to do whatever you want- also its kinda short. yeah. idk. rip.

Hyeran let out a loud huff as she turned the keys in the ignition and turned the car off. Her knuckles were turning white against the steering wheel, and her face boiled with rage as she pulled into the parking lot outside of the daycare, where her child had been at while Hyeran was away for work. Hyeran expected a nice time with her daughter, a sort of down time after a stressful day full of arguing doctors and dreadful PowerPoints. She never thought she would say this, but she really just wanted to go home and watch cartoons with her child.

But of course, the gods must've wanted revenge on her, so they planted the last person Hyeran wanted to ever see outside of the daycare. It was him. Sure, he did help create the bundle of sunshine that Hyeran likes to call her daughter, but just that made everything so much worse for the young woman who had a child while she was still a teenager. With her eyebrows furrowed, she grabs her purse and opens her car door, quickly getting out of the vehicle. The door closes with a slam, and sneakers hit the pavement with a loud thud.

She storms over to the man, hair flying behind her almost like brown locks of fire. The weather is mild cold, but her face is hot just from seeing his face, his figure, that she knows all too well. "What the hell are you doing here for? How the hell did you even find me?" Her snarls are like spits of lava at him. She doesn't know if he recognizes her appearance, the last time she saw him was years ago, when she had hair the colour of wheat and eyes bright and streaked with black kohl. But with the addition of a child, her hair got chopped short and back to the black coal it was, eyes now of the make up she once frivolously wore. But even despite her changed experience, he must know her voice full of anger, as whenever he tried talking to her after, it never lacked the indignation and umbrage.

@siyoon y. › cerberus。 The day had started off fairly well, with the occasional mishaps, but nonetheless, everything was going smoothly. She was like water when she worked - fluid, elegant and tranquil. Flowing around the hotel almost effortlessly as she fulfilled clients needs and did as she was asked, all the while not a complain leaving her smiling lips as she flitted around. She was more than happy to help someone fetch a taxi, or call for services, or look up directions for someone. Sangbi was a helpful soul that enjoyed the smiles she recieved from clients at the hotel, their smiles being her reward for doing a good job. So as she stood at the concierge desk, arranging papers and pamphlets to be put in stand across the hotel, a couple approached with smiles on their faces. The woman was beautiful, skin sun kissed from lounging on the poolsode, the man a little sunburn, most likely from his own activities. But nevertheless, she looked up, greeted them with a smile and asked if there was anything she could help them with.

"Good afternoon, was there something I could offer my assitance with?" She asked, her voice naturally melodic. The couple smiled at her graciously, obviously pleased with the song-like voice before voicing a request she couldn't help but oblige to. "Not a problem at all, ma'am. I will personally ensure your child gets here safely." With that, she bowed and excused herself as she quickly walked off in the direction of the daycare. The hotel itself was well equipped to deal with handlings of every kind - from the gods and goddesses always coming and going, to the children they sometimes brought along with them. Then there were the creatures that occupied the hotels staff. It was an equal opprotunity hotel that allowed all walks of life to enter.

On her way to the daycare she greeted guests, answered simple questions and laughed at a joke an old man just had to tell her. The joke itself was lacking, but the way he told it, with such enthusiasm, was more than enough to make up for it. After ten minutes of stop and go she finally reached the daycare and pushed through the door.

"Siyoon," she called out, the only caretaker seemingly busy with keeping the children in line. "Mrs. <insert name here :")> is calling for her child, <insert some other name here ::>. Mind finding him for me?" She smiled warmly at the male, the door behind her closing as she stepped into the daycare and looked around for the child as well. If she could help cut his search in half and have him attend to the little ones quicker, she'd help out as much as she could.
