@yerim k. › echo。 He found her echoes... endearing, not that he didn't feel her pain in the way she sometimes looks disappointed with the words that do wind up tumbling from her lips; he gratefully mouths a thank you as he refuses and wobbles towards the bench - he wasn't sure what the issue was lately but he lets it go as he's shown the notepad. In the time he reads the elegant scrawl across the top line of the page, a smile of pride and genuine excitement begins to settle across his features. "Are you really? Best wishes, my dear. I'm... here for a multitude of reasons- mostly to revive creativity." He sighs lightly and takes in the calm summer breeze that brushes past and the rays of sunlight that filter onto them both is dappled here and there by the swaying branches of the weeping willow. "For such a sad tree... it's so soothing," he muses softly and adds, "Oh I almost forgot- I do have something else for you. Close your eyes." Christian searches his pockets for a quick second, feeling over his pack pockets, then his front- finding the object in his right pocket, but waiting for her eyes to be closed.
@christian y. › hephaestus。 She hoped the bright grin that had taken over her lips would be able to portray how thankful and grateful without her having to speak but her mind did utter a million 'thank you's although she had no chance of being heard. At the sight of the man limping, her previously beaming face turns serious as a worry etches itself into her frown lines and furrowed eyebrows. Her lips part and she wants to voice out, "are you okay? here let me help you." but, the damn curse only allowed her to hastily scream out "Still pretty janky." A wash of frustration overcomes her but she pushes it away and instead, she offers him a hand, her head nudging at it as though she was insisting for him to take it. Relieved that they made it down the stairs all in one piece, Yeri leads them to a bench by the grand willow tree overlooking the pond. She takes a seat, patting the empty space besides her before fishing out her notepad and pen to reply to him, scruffily scribbling down "I needed a place to settle down and they were hiring." She gestures to him as if to say "and you?" after showing him the notepad with a meek smiles and slight shrug
@yerim k. › echo。 "I tried to make it work but it's... still pretty janky," He sighs defeatedly, knowing the technology still wasn't ready for her even though having promised Yerim all those eons ago that he would give her a way to make her thoughts heard, a way around the echo. His slight limp slows him as they come down the stairs to the garden, and his hand catches the rail swiftly, in time to steady himself, then ease himself down step by step. Grunting when he reaches the foot of the small set of stairs, he adds, "If anything, the most effective way I think would be your trusty paper and pen or pen and board, yeah?" His left leg seemed to be far more stiff today than it had been all decade and he found it odd; he briefly bends at the hip to brush his hand up the back of his leg and snatch up the culprit jammed into his mechanical joint: a stray leaf from the stairs, perhaps. "Anyways, what brings you to the hotel this time of the century?" Christian regards the other with curiosity, because of all places, he didn't think he would run into her here.
