Just outside the amusement park, Baekhyun put up a poster. He wanted to put up more inside the park, but he didn't feel comfortable entering with the amount of people.
@yoora p。ʸʸᵒᵒʳʳᵃ {Sorry if this is short and kind of y but I wanted to get you a reply >.<}
"Oh don't worry I learned my lesson. Although I do tend to get excited about my career so if I ever spend to much about it please feel free to cut me off." He replied still embarrassed even after many years that he had done that on a date. "No need to apologize it was a long time ago but thank you that is very kind of you to say." The doctor smiled. Yoora seemed to be a kind woman although Chris could they have the same ideals when it came to the importance of family. "Oh of course not we have to win at least one stuffed toy." He said as he stood in front of the booth with the darts in his hand. "Just watch." He grinned as he lifted up the first dart and took aim before launching the dart toward the target and having it land directly in the middle. "One out of three." He whispered to himself before tossing the next two and having one land near the middle and the other next to the first dart.
@ˢʰ ¹⁰³¹ chris e。ᵈʳ.ˡᵒᵛᵉ Though the offer was playful Yoora hasn't expected the man to actually accept or, much to her surprise, truly interested in the matter "Another time maybe, I have plenty of them to tell though I can't guarantee they'd be as great as you're imagining. Next time you approach someone you might like, I'd hold off on any scalpel and surgery talk so they won't get the wrong idea. Maybe if you tell them your profession but otherwise it might be a bit too intimidating to start off a conversation." It was obvious to the wolf that Chris was a man with a generous heart priorities to boot, only made more obvious by the tale he spun oh his medical pursuits. To be so young and already have ambitions to help others, determination to make a better life for those who needed it the most, truly touched Yoora's heart. She knew from personal experience what it was like to want to sacrifice everything for family, to be willing to do anything for the ones you love, so hearing that another shared her ideals was a welcomed surprise. "I'm sorry to hear that so much happened Chris... But if it lead to you being able to save other people I think he'd be really proud of you. If I say yes will you try it? Can't go to the amusement park without winning a cheesy plush right? Besides I'm curious to know if all that hand eye coordination training you doctors do extends towards other areas as well. Just one round, if you manage to hit all three darts on the target then you'll definitely earn my respect and praise."
[] holy f**k I completely forgot about this I'm so sorry!
@jasmine d。ʳᵉᵇᵒʳⁿ Chanyeol stood off to the side, listening to Jasmine pronounce the unidentified language that was written on the strange piece of paper. When said paper suddenly went up in flames (quite literally), the werewolf gasped in surprise and took a step back before watching as it completely disintegrated on the ground. "I..." He started, but at first couldn't think of an explanation as to what they just witnessed. "Honestly, Jasmine, I have no ing clue," Chanyeol said with a nervous laugh as he ran a hand through his blond locks. As he looked around them to see if anyone else had noticed the odd event, his eyes nearly bugged out of his head. "Um, Jasmine? I...don't think we're in Magnolia anymore." His finger was pointing to the sign that welcomed people into the amusement park. "Look!"
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ-ᵖᶜʸ Jasmine took the paper and looked at the line of words, although her spirit lived through many others for more than a couple of million years she could not recognize anything that was being said on the paper. She turned the paper upside down, sideways, far, and near from her face at different angles just to see if it was some optical illusion. "Portus kureptus venurues teurpotus..." She said to herself with uncertainty but loud enough for Chanyeol to hear. The moment she spoke the words, the paper sparked into a flame making the immortal drop the paper on the ground and watch the flames go through the paper until it crinkled into a line of ash. Jasmine's eyes were wide as she looked at the ground, the air around the two was uneasy and nothing was said. "What the hell did we do?"
@jasmine d。ʳᵉᵇᵒʳⁿ Chanyeol looked up as soon as he heard a voice coming from off to the side. Sure enough, it was Jasmine who made the 'smart' comment and the overgrown werewolf couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Oh, most definitely. All of these teenagers are just dropping their phone numbers right into my hands as they walk by." He chuckled, holding out the paper for her to see. "But in all seriousness, no. This paper smacked into me while I was waiting and I can't seem to figure out what all of this gibberish means. Do you know what it's trying to say?"
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ-ᵖᶜʸ Jasmine peered around the crowd for her date as she followed the trail of people making their way to the entrance of the amusement park. It took her a minute to find the town's amusement park despite going a few times with her friends over the summer, she could only hope she wasn't too later or that she was the early bird. "There are so many people here already..." She quietly said to herself, the second she caught a glimpse of her friend's silver hair she knew it was Chanyeol, he was by the gate looking at a piece of paper which made immortal squint her eyes in curiosity. "Is that a number already?" Jasmine teased as she looked at the paper with her head tilted to the side, making her long curly locks of brown hair fall over her shoulder.
@jasmine d。ʳᵉᵇᵒʳⁿ () Sorry this took me a while. Still not feeling too great-
After getting matched on the Imperial app and arranging a place to meet with his date, Chanyeol found himself pacing in front of Magnolia's amusement park, waiting for Jasmine to show up. The werewolf was a bit early, so, of course, he wasn't mad or upset, he just didn't want to look awkward by standing out near the entrance by himself. All of a sudden, he felt something hit his leg and peered down to see what it was. A random piece of paper had blown right into him, and he reached down to just grab it to throw it in the trash when he noticed some strange words written there. Chanyeol tried to make sense of it himself but had absolutely no clue as to what it said. Maybe Jasmine would know? He'd have to ask her when she arrived.
@yoora p。ʸʸᵒᵒʳʳᵃ "I'm sure any story you tell will be a fascinating and wonderful one." Chris replied with a genuine smile. He didn't get to talk too many people outside of work or family so he was indeed be interested in any story he was told. It was just nice to be outside and having a conversation with someone new. The doctor nodded in agreement that mistakes were just a part of life and some of them just happen to extremely embarrassing. "She was definitely the wrong person to share that with." He said with a small laugh as he brushed his hair out of his face. "Oh well that's a long story." He started. "I'll try to keep it short since there are a few reasons I wanted to be a doctor. But it started when I was young and my mom was pregnant with my little sister. The pregnancy took a huge toll on her body and it made her extremely ill, my father worked pretty much all the time to provide for us so he couldn't care for her. Anyways I started to learn everything I could about the pregnancy and the human anatomy so I could help my mother the best I could. After my sister was born my mother was place permanently in a wheelchair but she was healthy otherwise." He paused for moment thinking back on his past. "My interested in the medical field started then but it really hit me after my father passed away. I knew I wanted to try and prevent anyone else from suffering any preventable loss plus I like helping people feel better." He finished with a slight nod and then chuckled saying. "Sorry that wasn't a very good short version." After finishing the story of his past he stood still so they could look around at the stands and rides. "I know what you mean." He replied knowing that sometimes a person darkness was hard to control but he didn't want to get into detail on that so put his attention of the fun of the amusement park. "Oh is that a challenge?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow. "I must warn you I do indeed have a good aim." Chris said as he walked to the booth and took he darts that were held out to him.
{} Sorry it's not very well written but I hope its okay! >.<
@chris e。ᵈʳ.ˡᵒᵛᵉ Hazel orbs rounded in honest alarm. It shouldn’t have been very surprising but she so rarely had encounters, especially in Magnolia Springs, regarding her position as a minor TV personality. “Really? In that case I’ll do my best to make sure the next story is worthy of even your attention. I’m not sure what I would do if not this. There are so many other options out there but this is just the one that feels the best right now.” She smiled before curiosity had drawn her attention towards Chris, smiling up fondly at the man after his personal admittance about the horrid date. “We all make horrible mistakes especially when it comes to someone or something we have interest in. Don’t take it too hard, you wanted to share something that intrigued you, it just happened to be at the wrong time with the wrong person. What made you want to be a surgeon? I mean, a lot of children have their parent’s push the whole ‘I wanna be a doctor when I grow up’ mentality but not many people actually achieve something so ambitious. It can’t have been an easy journey making it where you are now.” The simple charm left the brunette feeling off kilter, heat rising to her cheeks at the casual compliments thrown her way but Yoora nodded admitting defeat. “It’s sometimes… Hard to find someone who can really handle me. I’m not always quite myself,” The wolf confessed quelling the beast inside wasn’t always an easy task for the alpha but it became that much harder whenever she chose to share those aspects of herself with anyone that held significance. In the end she found it to often be a losing battle and as a result hadn’t bothered looking until now. “A game will be nice, it’ll be nice to see what you’re made of before we’re screaming our lungs out on some roller coaster,” With a bright laugh she begun guiding the man towards a dart toss booth pointing to the attendee in charge. “How about that one? Is your aim any good?”
[] Sorry this is so late!!! I got caught up in trying to clarify some things around here. I don’t know if you want to continue the date or not but Yoora may actually be in a relationship soon...
@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ "Like a real pirate..." The boy said as he looked at Aidan as if he was a in a daze. "Maybe we can steal it and see if it actually floats, but we might need some help." Isabelle kidded before taking a bite of her own cotton candy. She observed the other's expression as he tasted the candy, relieved that he did like it. "I never heard of Chinese Dragon's Beard, is it just as-" The boy in front of them had interrupted Isabelle with a shout of "We're here!" She didn't notice how fast the line was for the pirate ship until they were standing at the front. "Let's sit all the way in the back, it goes higher in that area when it swings." She said tugging her date and the boy behind her to get a good seat at the back of the ship.
@yoora p。ʸʸᵒᵒʳʳᵃ "I think I've seen you on tv before but I don't watch it very much." The doctor explained. "But I'll definitely try to watch it more now and see what interesting stuff going on around town." He added. Chris was an old school kind of guy so he was never very interested in things like Television, computers or even phones. The only reason he owned a cell phone was because it was a simple way for him to contact his sister or mother. "It's good to see someone so accepting of life." He said with a smile relieved that the tension seemed to be dying down. Chris almost wanted to hide his face at the embarrassing realization of his last date. "I know, I know it was really bad. I was just so nervous and I had just finished reading a book about it..." He paused and let a chuckle out. "Yeah if I was in her shoes I probably would have thought so too. And to no surprises she did not want a second date." Chris laughed and ran his fingers through his hair. "Really? Such a pretty girl like yourself?" He said confused. "I find it hard to believe but I guess I will take your word for it." The griffin said before he looked around at the rides and game booths. "Maybe we should start with a game while we pick which ride we wanna go on first? Or would you like to ride something first?" Chris question as he looked toward the woman, waiting to see which she preferred.
@isabelle m。ᵖᵒᵖᵖᵉᵗ Waling up from his dazed like state and finally taking his eyes off of the pirate ship, he looked at Isabelle and blinked a few times before smiling with only one corner of his mouth. “I would prefer it off the hinges and on a real ocean,” Aidan retorted and pinched a small piece of the cotton candy after he saw what the damage of biting into it was; blue something smeared all over the little boy’s face. “But I’m guessing this is one thing we would all enjoy?” Aidan asked, looking at the feathery cloud piece flowing from between his thumb and index finger skeptically. He placed it in his mouth and his fingers became sticky right away. “Oh my,” the sweetness spread all over his mouth. “This tastes very similar to the Chinese Dragon’s Bears,” Aidan recalled and gently put a hand on the boy’s shoulder so he wouldn’t get lost again as they moved through the crowd.
@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ The boy nodded briskly while Isabelle grinned wide enough to show off her dimples and the glint of happiness twinkling in her green eyes. "Yeah! And it melts in your mouth- you don't even have to chew it!" The boy exclaimed happily to Aidan before taking his stick with a quick "Thank you" and taking a mouthful of his blue cotton candy. "We can share." Isabelle offered as she took a stick of the pink cotton candy, she pointed it towards the other hoping he would take a bite out of it. "It's really good, Aidan." The boy patted Isabelle's side and pointed to the pirate ship ride swinging back and forth. She glanced back and winked the kid before speaking once more "We can go on that ride if you want, it's really fun." Isabelle was amused by the expression on his face, earlier he didn't seem too interested in the location of their date, but it seemed like all it took was a pirate ship to get that childlike sparkle in his eyes.
@isabelle m。ᵖᵒᵖᵖᵉᵗ Aidan couldn’t deny his unsettled curiosity while watching the web of colorful floss being twisted and twirled around a thin stick until it was resembling a cloud... on a stick. “That’s...sugar?” Aidan asked pointing his finger at the cloud. He fished out his leather wallet. “You two may pick your flavors, it’s on me tab,” Aidan said with a half smile. “Oh, I understand. I don’t know if I would believe today’s fortune tellers either,” he agreed and looked down at the boy who picked a blue cotton candy, of the biggest size. However, there was something crossing his sight. From side to side a huge ship swung in the air. Aidan’s jaw dropped slightly in amazement.
@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ Isabelle held her fist up to chuckling at the pirate and the thought of cotton candy being able to kill someone. "I can assure you it won't do that, nothing as sweet and fluffy can hurt you in any way- unless you're allergic but I don't think you are or at least I hope not." The boy tugged on her hand to walk faster to the lady serving cotton candy, more excited about getting a treat than finding his parents at the moment. Both Isabelle and the boy watched the bunches of candy floss spin around in the big metal bowl as the light above glazed over it. "I don't trust fortune telling too much." She was a skeptic when it came to fortune tellers, the last one who told her her fortune was ultimately the one who put a curse on her future.
@chris e。ᵈʳ.ˡᵒᵛᵉ "I am," she nodded thinking back on her job fondly. "I used to be a news anchor but I missed being out in the field even more, exploring and discovering new things rather than sitting behind a desk. It's nice to be able to devote myself to something that helps relieve some of my energy. It can be grueling at times but I'm not sure I'd want to do anything else. You can make or break someone's life as a reporter, so I try to uphold the utmost truth to anything I find." Waving her hand dismissively Yoora allowed her smile to return hoping to ease some of the brewing tension that was beginning to form. "No, no please don't apologize, it's all just part of life. Soon love and loss just become something you accept... Eh?! No please tell me that wasn't your idea of flirting." The wolf had to cover to bite back the sharp laugh that escaped, trying to hold in the flurry of chuckles that followed. "I'm sorry I think I should have to side with her on that one. I think any rational person would be extremely confused and disturbed discussing arteries and veins and anything surgically related. They probably thought you were the next Jack the Ripper. I can't say I've done much better over the years but I don't think I've ever said something that direct. I guess we can both think of today as a restart, a chance to freshen up our experiences and interactions with others. Should we try a ride first or should you like to play a game?"
@yoora p。ʸʸᵒᵒʳʳᵃ Chris listened as she explained a bit of her background to him and nodded along to show he was indeed paying attention. "I understand what you mean." He stated as he could relate to changing ones personal life for those they love and care about. With the mention of the other's job Chris recalled reading something regarding Yoora being in the field of reporting. "You're a reporter correct? That must be an interesting job." He replied thinking it must be gripping job since she must see quite a bit of good and bad incidents. Once they had fully entered the exciting area he couldn't help but think about how much his younger sister would enjoy such a place and he would need to bring her sometime soon. "Yes it really was." He said recalling all the horrible things he'd witnessed however he quickly removed the thoughts not wanting to have any kind of episode. "I'm sorry you've had to live through terrible times and serving was something I needed to do." The doctor said and lightly patted the others hand as it held onto his forearm before trying to also move on from the subject. Chris smiled at the other and shook his head. "It's perfectly fine, I am the one who brought up war so that's my fault." He stated and then chuckled softly. "Don't worry I haven't been on a date myself for a very, very long time. I believe my last date was right after medical school and I ended up talking about the difference between a vein and an artery." He replied with a little laugh, slightly ashamed that his words were true. The doctor never had the time of day to date or even really socialize outside of work. "I'm about 95% sure that she thought I was a serial killer.." He added.
@chris e。ᵈʳ.ˡᵒᵛᵉ Regaining her composure Yoora nodded taking a single glance around the city before them, such an odd contrast to the bustling community of Magnolia Springs that she'd begun to brute attached to. "I did. The buildings were a bit crowded and it was difficult to see the stars at night but I made it home. Hiding in plain sight and ask if that right? It was actually nice and it made my job a lot easier because there was always something to report but that also meant I was often too busy to really socialize. I only moved here to be closer to my little brother so I haven't been in town very long." It was a simple question, one she could have answered with the most minimal of responses yet Chris was making the effort to know her and the wolf certainly wasn't going to hinder his attempts. Shyly taking his arm, unuse to such chivalrous displays in the new age. Yoora looked up towards the tall male with a smile finding his polite nature quite pleasant, nodding as he lead the way into the thriving theme park. "World War II? That truly was a horrid time... So much unnecessary bloodshed... I've witnessed far too much of that in my lifetime... But thank you for serving, no matter side you were on I don't think the veterans get enough of the encouragement that they earned." She was fairly certain now that Chris was younger than her, a fact that didn't bother her at all, though it was saddening to think the man too had to live through such a horrid era. "Sorry I... We're at an amusement park, we should be having fun and I'm here talking about war and bloodshed. I'm sorry I haven't exactly been on an actual date in a long time so I might have forgotten some of the more mundane decorum."
@yoora p。ʸʸᵒᵒʳʳᵃ Chris nodded as he couldn't deny he was worried for the young woman. "I will admit I was worried for a moment but I really wasn't here for very long." He admitted. "Are you from a large city?" He questioned already curious and wanting to know about this lovely woman standing in front of him. The man could tell the other had worrisome thoughts going thorough her mind but he hoped he could put her at ease as the night progressed. After being a doctor for so long Chris had picked up the signs of someone who maybe is over thinking their situation and he was getting a few from Yoora. Chris gave a short nervous chuckle as he was complained. "Thank you, that's very kind." He replied as he ran his fingers though his short dirty blonde hair. Looking toward the amusement park he held out his elbow for the young lady to take a hold of. "Shall we go inside?" He asked as he gestured toward the entrance with his other hand, watching for a moment as groups of people walked through the gate. As they entered into the amusement park he listened to the others question fully before answering. "I actually lived in a town close to here for a couple of years before moving to Magnolia. Before that I served in World War ll along side the human therefore being around the humans don't bother me very much." He explained. "I do admit though I am a bit nervous cause I haven't been outside Magnolia since I moved there." The doctor added with a soft chuckle.
@isabelle m。ᵖᵒᵖᵖᵉᵗ “I might be intrigued to try some of that cotton candy, whatever it may be. Under the condition that it won’t kill me,” Aidan spoke with a noble attitude, which could be deceiving considering he was a true outlaw pirate. Well, cotton candy sure wasn’t anything he could remember. Festivities back in his days were more about getting drunk on pints and eating whatever the village ladies had to offer, not the mention that instead of these “rides” they had other entertainment. Like dances or arm-wrestling, even card games. But something came as familiar to Aidan as they passed through the amusement park. “Oh, do ye have fortune tellers? I hope ye will excuse the curiosity, but have ye ever had your fortune foretold?” He asked quizzically, genuinely curious about the lady’s experience if any?
@chris e。ᵈʳ.ˡᵒᵛᵉ Hazel orbs glancing over the male skeptically Yoora only smiled brighter, eyes crinkling in the process as she waved off his attempts to comfort her. “You don’t have to do that, you looked about as worried as I felt so you must have been waiting quite a while right? I’m really sorry, I only moved into town a week ago so everything is still really knew to me, I didn’t expect to get lost on my first date. I didn’t realize how close the town was to the human world though. It feels strange to be back in such a bustling city when I just moved from one.” It was still hard to tell how the day would end up, the woman hoping that something triggering didn’t happen to make her wolf out but given the bright atmosphere Yoora didn’t want to dampen the mood with irrational what ifs. Tucking a strand of the cropped chestnut locks behind her ear. “Chris…” The name certainly felt foreign on her tongue but not in a bad way, the smile she received in turn certainly easing her worries though it was easy to see that Chris’ mannerisms were just as suave as his looks suggested. Looking his gaze towards her choice of attire a faint blush began to rise towards her cheeks. The outfit was nothing too over the top and definitely attributed to her usual style but some effort had been put in, in hopes of making a decent impression, and it was rewarding to see that it paid off. “Ah, thank you very much. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got here but you’re certainly even more handsome in person." Trudging closer to the man's side the slender beauty let her eyes wander over the magnificence of the amusement park trying to recall if she'd ever had an opportunity to indulge in something so out of place in her nearly three hundred years. "Have you ever been this far out from Magnolia before? You seemed pretty relaxed when I saw you earlier.”
@yoora p。ʸʸᵒᵒʳʳᵃ Chris stayed leaned against the railing as he waited for his date to arrive, getting more nervous as time went by. He glanced down at his watch to check the time as he was getting a bit worried something may have happen such as the young woman getting lost in an unfamiliar place. But that worry soon disappeared when he heard a voice apologizing and saw a slim figure approaching him. "No need to apologize I only just got here myself." He replied he was able to tell by the other facial expression that she was feeling upset over her arrival time so he was hoping to help her relax.
Once she was close he was able to finally get a good look at her appearance and was a bit surprised at what he saw. Yoora was much prettier than her pictures displayed with was saying a lot since he thought she was a beautiful woman form her photos. "I'm Chris, the pleasure is mine." He said with a charming smile. "You look lovely." The doctor added with as he gestured toward her outfit thinking the dress fit her figure gracefully. Although he tried not to pay too much attention to her body not wanting to come off as some kind of creep. Chris was never one to focus on appearance and he was glad he could see she had a kindness in her eyes that made him smile.
@chris e。ᵈʳ.ˡᵒᵛᵉ This was not the way she'd intended to make a first impression, scrambling amongst heavy crowds and relying solely on her phone's GPS to navigate her to where her date was surely waiting. The cinched waist of her cerulean summer dress gave way to a flowing skirt and comfortable bodice that accentuated her slender figure and long legs while still leaving her modesty in tact with room for imagination. The light liner around her eyes only served to bring more attention to the honey glow of her bright orbs while a hasty hint of scarlet remained evident join her lips. Yoora was certainly not the type to let others down but the more time passed the more the wolf began to question if she would ever make it to her destination. Would she be able to find him? Recognizing someone you've never seen was difficult enough but with only the miniature avatar icon as guidance Yoora attempted her best.
Just when she'd almost deigned to give in and inform her date of her unfortunate lack of direction her eyes caught on to a strange man leaving a relaxed sigh to huff through the air. Strange was a strong word but fit the aura she was sensing perfectly - in a sea of humans the man radiated something far different from the mundane scent surrounding them. "I'm so sorry I'm late!" She called out with a pout forming on her lips, the sadness in her eyes mirroring the regret she felt for making her selected partner wait so long on his own. Honestly Yoora was amazed to have made it all between being in a completely new place and the impending heat that had kept her locked away for days, but here she was and the man before her certainly wasn't what she envisioned of the 'doctor' after their brief conversations. There was a rugged handsomeness to him that hadn't quite been captured on film but there was also warmth that made her feel at ease beside the nervousness that came with being on a blind date. "I'm Yoora. It's nice to finally meet you in person."
@aidan t。ᶜᵃᵖᵗᵃᶦⁿʰᵒᵒᵏ The boy twisted his face into a confused expression "Machineries? Have you ever seen how cotton candy is made? It's spun aroud in a huge metal bowl!" The boy said with excitement as he spread his arms out a wide circle to represent just how big the bowl was. Isabelle stood up again, usually she was bad with children and they either cried or ignored her. But maybe she saw her younger self in the boy as he spoke and looked at the rides and treats with such interest. She nodded briskly while moving a strand of her flowing hair away from her face, her smile turning shy as she looked back at the pirate. "I guess we can get some while we're there too...I guess you haven't been to many amusem parks, huh?" Isabelle asked, if it wasn't for the community site the town had she would have never known about the "Frozen Pirate Came Back to Life". She would have thought festivals during his time would be like this, but without the rides of course.
So uh hey guys. Would it be possible after I'm accepted at the new one to be reaccepted here long enough to transfer over my profile and stuff? If not, it's totally fine.
