@jaewook k。ᵘʳˢᵒᵒ "No," Hyunjin shook his head. "I'm very tolerant to alcohol, but my mouth isn't," he chuckles as he takes another sip, the taste still not settling in as pleasant, but it's starting to loose the tingle that tenses his neck muscles out of impulse. "College? Oh, hell no," Hyunjin is quick to react to that, his mind rushing to all the students from around him. He was constantly mistaken for one, so he wouldn't held it against the host, but he wasn't keen on being associated with them other than living in the dormitories. "But I do live among college students." Hyunjin lowered the glass to keep holding it with two hands between his slightly parted knees as he sat beside Jaewook, te dread in his stomach from the initial impression of him subsiding quite evidently, but not completely. "Can I ask you something? I don't mean to be rude with this assumption, but are you perhaps a demon? Or a dark spirit?" Hyunjin asked in the most oblivious way to the other's intentions and more focused on his own being, not having the slightest idea of what was to tenfold if anything. He was under the impression that the only insecurity and discomfort would come from the revelation that he was right, that the two were actually somehow connected to the place of Hyunjin's birth, which was the darkest pit of the underworld.
@jaewook k。ᵘʳˢᵒᵒ Sehun didn't always take his two dogs for a walk in the evening. Long shifts forced him to wake up even earlier, before the Sun rose, in order to fit in a much needed stroll so that Monsieur and Vivi could stretch their legs and work off all of those extra treats Sehun managed to slip them when they gave him their signature 'puppy eyes'. It just so happened that tonight of all nights, it proved to be a good night for the nurse to be making his way through town, the tiny pooches tugging on their leaches to get him to pick up the pace. The sudden scent of blood filling his nostrils made him pause in his step and look around with curious eyes. Where on earth was that coming from? For a wendigo, it wouldn't take much effort for him to find the source, but the smell was so strong...it seemed like it was a heavy amount of blood. Who would be bleeding that much? Was someone in trouble? With those questions lingering in his mind, Sehun took off in the direction of the scent, his footsteps echoing off of the sidewalk. A few minutes later, he spotted someone leaning against the outside wall of an unfamiliar establishment, and knew instantly that this was the injured man. "Oh...goodness." He mumbled. "Are you alright, sir?"
@jaewook k。ᵘʳˢᵒᵒ the man accompanying him seemed nice and felix wanted to believe that he was nice and had good intentions. they had met at the florist shop felix owns when the man came in searching for a bouquet of flowers though he... appeared to have found something 'more beautiful'. referencing felix himself to a delicate rose, the man had offered to take him out sometime after hearing that the boy was extremely new to town. figuring that this was a good way to get more familiar with this place, and possibly even make his first actual friend (he became familiar with this term thanks to google), felix accepted the offer. the man, whose name was jaehyun, had picked him up after the shop closed and immediately brought him here, to what was called a club.
felix really did want to believe that jaehyun didn't mean any harm but after being coerced into drinking this funny drink, he's not so sure anymore.
suddenly, jaehyun was gone in the matter of seconds and the boy blinks up at the male standing before him in an almost dazed manner. "huh?" felix muttered lamely, looking both confused and startled. "oh, no, he.. wasn't harassing me. tried getting me to drink, though." glancing down at the half empty glass in his hands with a small scrunch of his nose, the boy inspects it once then gently nudges it away. "it tastes weird... i don't like it."
@jaewook k。ᵘʳˢᵒᵒ Hyunjin gave the man a look of nothing less than interest as he was offered service. What service? Was that his job, to entertain the customers? Hyunjin brushed the very reasonable thought away as soon as he was asked a question and his gleeful grin returned as his head bounced in a nod. "Yeah. I've never really been singing in a place like this. I like exploring though so it's an experience. It would be stupid to ask if you come here often right?" Hyunjin laughed at his own silliness as his eyes darted back to the name tag. He considered also sitting down beside the man, which he eventually did do. He sat down, his long legs comfortably spread apart as if they couldn't fit behind the low table by the couch. He held the glass in his hands. When his fingers made contact with the smooth glass, his hand quickly darted to his waist, the motion filled with panic. Once his hand felt the same smoothness and coolness at his waist he eased again and smiled at his new company. "I'm more of the apple juice guy," Hyunjin admitted laughing. It's not like I have low alcohol tolerance, I just tend to have odd thoughts and as you've probably noticed, I can't really keep my mouth shut," he made fun of himself, but there was so much for honesty. What he though, he would say, as long as it wasn't immoral or useless. When he was intoxicated, he forgot how to properly form sentences without wishing for the oddest things, which he perhaps didn't even want to happen for real.
@jaewook k。ᵘʳˢᵒᵒ Once the employee, judging by the name tag he had pointed to, accepted to sing his presumed 'favourite part' of the song, Hyunjin's whole demeanor changed. He started smiling widely and towards the end of the song he even decided to ease into a slight dance. Hyunjin himself gave an applause to whoever actually deserved it, but before he knew he was being handed a drink. With dodgy eyes he took it, unsure if this is how people socialized nowadays, but he wouldn't really know how things worked. "Thanks!" He cheered and took a cautious sip of the drink. His face screwed up a little at the taste of alcohol and he looked at the other male. "What's this?" He asked curiously, but didn't hesitate to take another sip for sampling, strangely not realizing it was alcohol. He avoided alcohol, because the one time he didn't, he was wishing for such things that left half of the place he was at in a complete disaster. It took him a while to wish it all back without consenquences. "Oh, I'm Hyunjin by the way! You're... Jaewook," Hyunjin leaned in to read the name tag again, not even pretending to be discreet about it. "Thank you for joining me. It was fun alone, although company is never a bad thing," Hyunjin said with a friendly smile, taking another sip with his face turning sour once again at the taste.
@jaewook k。ᵘʳˢᵒᵒ The first time Hyunjin had thought of something like this on his own happened years ago. It became casual for him to go to places which were considered awkward without any kind of company. Going to the cinema alone, going to a club alone, going to the club for karaoke alone... Thanks to his outgoing personality and a few tricks up his sleeve, he either made the experience better or cause a complete disaster. Once he managed to make the karaoke work, he picked the very first song that popped up. To his surprise, he had heard it before, probably at the gym while the others worked out and used their own playlists to endorse themselves. He barely knew the words to the song, stumbling over them perpetually, however that didn't meant he couldn't have fun. He sang into the microphone, eyes closed as he was completely feeling the moment. The big pop stars could never look as silly yet as involved as Hyunjin I'd right now. He danced around, bouncing and whining, singing like his life depended on it. Oh how he wished to have some seeing this... Not a second later, he had whipped around as a very old, almost nostalgic shiver ran up his spine. His eyes landed on a man, long hair as him but the complete opposite shade. Hyunjin believed he was an employee, but what he knew almost for absolute certain, was that the man was a demon. Hyunjin's eyes widened in almost fear and he jerked back as if he was burnt by the flames of hell. The words that came from the other didn't even properly register, but Hyunjin calmed down a bit. He didn't sound like his past. "Uhm... favourite part?" Hyunjin tried to understand, looking back at the screen with the lyrics. To be friendly and to give another chance to his past, he decided to extend his hand with the microphone, holding it right up to the man's face. "It's your favourite. Sing it with me," Hyunjin smiled, comfortable and confident that if this interaction would go over well, he could forgive his makers what everything they've done to him.
