@❛ jongin k。 Perhaps it was her fault for assuming that their father wouldn't have called Jongin first when she had disappeared. She had hoped to greet her brother with the brightest of smiles and to get one back in return, but was to only find a panicked look on his face with the familar shouts of Dad on the phone. Not something she had expected for their little reunion.
"Phew well glad that's over-" However, her sense of relief from the end of their phone call was quickly subdued by Jongin's sudden grip. She would've been lying if she said it didn't scare her. Never had he been so physical outside of their childhood tussels. "Jong. Stop you're scaring me.." Eyes widened with shock, her lips stuttered in an attempt to answer his bullet like questions. "Yes. Maybe. and NO." She could see the worry setting in his face and couldn't help but blame herself for scaring him like this. "I'm sorry, I should've told you before I did anything, but time was limited. Dad was going to marry me off to some rando for God knows why." The rememberance of her reason to live left quite the bitter taste on her lips. "I know that I've been the child to ask 'How high?' when Dad tells us to jump, but..I just couldn't take it anymore! Controlling my childhood to now wanting to control my adulthood? I had to leave..." Still in his grip, her arms relaxed from their tense self. "I've been planning this for a few weeks now, as soon as he told me I was going to married off to some boy. I- um..actually moved into building B today. Signed, sealed, delivered." A nervous laugh chokes out of her hoping her brother would take the news well.
@❛ jisoo k。 The undeniable truth which tumbled out his mouth not a moment prior quite swiftly turned into a lie, the rooted figure behind the door astonished before his beloved sister which he beheld with a tied tongue, unable to let out a word whilst listening to the jeering of his father on the other end. It's been two years since he'd last seen her and it didn't feel as though she'd changed one bit. Perhaps a different hairstyle, a more - mature fashion sense. Her skin seemed softer, she most certainly began a skincare routine in his absence. Most of all, he was beyond relieved to encase her petite frame in his arms, as long as she was safe nothing else mattered. Except perhaps for the voice of the raging man on the phone with him. That maybe mattered. Thus, Jongin placed a finger against his lips, instructing the girl not to make a sound before responding. "I'm going to search for her and if I find that something happened to her, so help me god, father, I will drag you through court."
At that moment, the male ended the call, rather pleased with the convincing speech he'd just given to their father. However, the first thing which came out of his mouth wasn't an i miss you nor an affectionate expression to be displayed. Instead, he grasped a hold of Jisoo's arms, shaking her lightly. "You ran away? Are you mad? are you trying to get yourself killed?" Concern ever so evident in his brownish orbs, he met her gaze with a deep frown upon his countenance, breath heavy in his chest.
@❛ jongin k。 Gentle wind blowing through her soft curls, Jisoo solemnly stood in front of what was supposedly her older brother's apartment complex. Luscious mini forests of lavender decorated the area, but no amount of serene flora could calm down the visciously beating of her heart. For more than twenty years of her life, she had always been the 'good girl'. The perfect daughter to her parents, listening to their word and never disobeying. But here she was, miles away from her childhood home as a runaway. Could she even be considered to have run away from home? She /was/ an adult and had the right to do whatever she wanted with her life, but never had she stepped out of line so far, and the nervous adrenaline was already pumping throughout her entire body. As worried as she was, the thrill of breaking her parent's rules couldn't help but lift up a slight grin at the corner of her lips. The idea of being reunited with her brother was also a nerve wrecking thought but it was way over due. How many years had it been since she had last seen him? Her life long best friend who had mysteriously disappeared from their home one morning. Her parents refused to talk about him, and made sure she didn't contact her brother through any means. A part of the reason why she was here was to get some answers out of Jongin. She'd leave out the fact that she had ran away from an unknown arranged fiancé for the time being. Jisoo needed a home and anywhere her brother was...home.
Now ominously in front of a foreign door, she tapped her knuckles twice hoping he was home. "Jongin." His name slipped out so softly as his presence spread warmth throughout her entire body. Without giving him a chance to speak, she threw herself into his embrace, burying into the familiar aroma of his. But not a second later, the muffled shouts of a voice sank her heart to the bottom of her chest. "Is that....dad?" she whispered pointing to the phone.
@❛ jisoo k。 A distinctive, dire ring sounded from the device set before him, indicative of only the last person he wished to speak to. The male had a special tone for the man who perturbed him quite often, just so he'd know better than to even check the phone at wrong timings. Dear old dad, calling him with yet another threat, he was certainly not in a state to undergo such unpleasant trial. Thus, he pressed the decline button upon the retina display, only for it to light up once more with another call, and another till he was far too exasperated to decline. "What now?" He began firmly, the following shout unforeseen to him. "WHERE THE IS SHE?" the anger palpable in the timbre of his father's voice cascaded panic straight into Jongin's being, brows knitted in perplexion. "What are you talking about?" He inquired with a seemingly calm tone, not wanting the man to think he was hiding something. However, the latter proceeded to yell at him as though he was beyond guilty. "YOUR GODDAMN SISTER, IS SHE WITH YOU?" At the mention of Jisoo, he could feel blood thrum within his temples, abruptly too aware of a scenario he was scared of all along. He could sense fury rising in his veins, creeping into him till he was clenching his jaw at the number of possible methods he could harm his sister with. "She's not with me but if you've done something to her, I will ing end you father, you hear me?" All too suddenly, Jongin was unafraid to speak back to him, to stand in his face if it involved his sister. He was far too protective to allow the scum that is his father to terrorize his family. Just before he could understand what happened, he heard faint knocking on his apartment door, which he instantly opened out of impulse, only to stand there in utter shock at the sight.
