Popping it into , she attentively listens as they continue to walk along the streets. "I would love to hang out more. But as for my boyfriend, it really depends on his schedule."

A fond smile makes home upon her visage when the female thanks her for her company. "No worries! I was with a couple of friends and we went separate ways, so I have to thank you as well. And you're very kind yourself."

But she never notices, not once, because she's grown accustomed to the neutral hues of white, beige, grey, and black; the shades that bring her comfort with familiarity. She never realizes how bland her world is, with the stacks of white paper lined with black text atop an organized maple desk. White, the color of her bed, that is accessorized with black. White and black. The sleek ensemble has become a security blanket for her, because she returns to it every single day for that sense of security. But it's become empty. The grand, two-story apartment is far too bleak for a girl who silently seeks excitement beyond those walls, beyond the amount of textbooks she consistently buries herself in to avoid feeling that unnerving sense of insecurity. Emotions, that is. She hated them. That feeling of exhilaration, only for it to be short-lived and replaced with despondency. But when she's with Baekhyun, it's different. Though she's ridden with reluctance, it's only because she's afraid that the color he reintroduces to her would be fleeting. A mere dream. It isn't until he kisses her beneath the ever-exploding exhibition of color that she realizes she's overthinking yet again. For the first time in a while, her heart sees vibrance. Colors of beautiful, varying tones, painting the dark cloud in her mind in white, freeing her from her own reservations. And she lets him, at once letting go of her uneasiness to relish in this moment, relish in him, kissing him with avidity.

@❛ lalisa m。 Almost as sudden as the fireworks had exploded both in their ears and across the jet black sky in a matter of seconds, the light sound of Lisa's laughter leaves her lips and fills Baekhyun's ears, though in juxtaposition to the former, it is not an intrusion at all. Rather, he welcomes it into his mind with great fervor, choosing to discern it above the sound of the fireworks booming above them—he had, after all, lived through many nights embellished with such fireworks, yet feels that to hear such a free-spirited boisterous sound from Lisa, dripping with joy and contentment, can only happen so many times in his life. He chooses above all events from the night to remember this one most clearly. And as she turns to him, meeting his gaze, Baekhyun makes the conscious decision to continue making her happy, to witness such moments of elation in her life. Perhaps it is selfish of him, to steal such a moment from her, but he leans forward and presses his lips to her with little shame; he swears, the moment his lips meet hers, there are a collection of fireworks exploding within him as well, painting his heart with colors he has never experienced before.

@❛ jinah i。 "I did contemporary for a while," she adds before finishing her last bit of her milkshake, tossing it into a garbage can once she's done so that she can redirect her attention to the sundae she holds on her hand. "Tap dancing too. I'm more focused on contemporary and hip hop at the moment."

@❛ ariana g。 Carefully, she weaves between the crowds of people as she makes her way towards said bench, eyes cautiously darting to the food she holds in her hand as she's careful to not drop it. She doesn't respond to the girl until she at least made it close enough, only then slowing her footsteps until she could finally seat herself on the bench. With a heavy sigh, she sets the napkins down on her lap, holding out the plate of carne asada fries to Ari, who seems to need it more than her.
You're right. I guess I'm probably just overthinking it. Otherwise, he wouldn't be hanging out with me as much as he does...right?

@❛ baekhyun b。 There's no doubt that the female has quickly become entranced by the firework display above them, as a delighted, open-mouthed smile ades across her features. She takes note of how the boundless, shimmering night sky now serve as a backdrop of the multi-colored flares that detonate one-by-one to produce flower-like silhouettes with petals varying in hue. It's a beautiful display indeed and, unbeknownst to her, sounds a laugh more carefree than what she has released in what seems like forever. Just like the explosions of color above, Lalisa allowed herself to be free for the first in a long time. It's exhilarating, really, to not be holed up in her office for once, drowning herself beneath stacks of paper when something as gorgeous as this was occurring. And she knows she would have been, if it weren't for the person beside her, who now commands her attention with the single expression that he utters. He is looking at her, perhaps with the same admiration that she had directed towards the sky just seconds before. And for some reason, this accelerates the beating in her chest.

@❛ lalisa m。 The sudden explosive sound in his ear causes him to jump ever so slightly, though he quickly averts his gaze to the darkened firmament, previously blank now covered in an eruption of various shades. Despite their situation of being in line, Baekhyun takes the moment to cherish, his eyes leaving the sky not so regretfully to instead fall upon the image of Lisa's countenance, illuminated by the colors of the sky. Amusement, admiration, and happiness are all present upon her features, and he finds the combination of these emotions upon her visage much more alluring and memorable than the colors currently streaked across the sky. "Wow," he manages. Though she had always presented herself as stone-faced and collected, it is clear to all, but most definitely Baekhyun himself, that the stars twinkle in her wide eyes as she gazes to the sky. Yes, it is the beautiful—the fireworks, the town, the moment, her.

@❛ baekhyun b。 "Yes, bul--" her voice is soon drowned out by the thundering crackle of the first set of fireworks, three booming in quick, rhythmic succession after the other. The male's fair complexion, formerly dimmed by the various lamps that decorate the streets, is now decorated with hues of blue, pink, and purple in that very order, just as these colors illuminate the starry navy sky above them in a picturesque display. Her starry gaze ascends to ogle at the exhibition above them, tiers curling as all qualms she had previously are momentarily pushed aside to appreciate the beauty of tonight's events.

@❛ lalisa m。 Perhaps she would remain oblivious to his obvious espousement to her as long as he would continue to blindsight himself, for the sight of her only causes a smile to grace his lips before he turns to follow her gaze at the menu. "I think I'll get the chicken burrito," he muses as they move forward in line. "Bulgogi for you?" He asks for confirmation as they are now second in line, and his fingers drum against her waistline. Yes, indeed, he would continue to ignore the thrumming inside his chest for as long as he could.

@❛ baekhyun b。 "I didn't realize they were either, but I guess they didn't want to wait. They clearly like each other a lot, so they took that chance." She points out her umber gaze drifting off to inspect the menu above them, completely missing the male's lingering gaze. She hums in deliberation as she carefully reads each item, despite having already previously stated what she desired to eat just moments before.

@❛ lalisa m。 "Oh," is what leaves his mouth at her clarification, slowly going to gnaw upon the plump flesh of his bottom lip as he pulls the two of them forward in line. Had their relationship progressed so quickly? The thought causes him to gaze at her, line of sight falling upon her—her eyelashes curling ever upward, the slight smile on her tiers, even the ochre shade of her hair falling around her shoulders. "That's good for them. I didn't realize they were.. that serious."
