@Kamenashi Kazuya❖(山口組) He shrugged his shoulders once more at the other's response before answering it rather simply "I guess you could say that, yeah..." He kept his eyes on the other, following his every move before he offered a short shake of his head "I don't intend on getting involved... I just needed some answers" That part was true. He'd seen the way his own father had gotten dragged into this world after just dipping a toe in. All he had wanted was a better paycheck than what the police system was offering, of course, he'd been greedy and it was bound to go wrong, but still it was a good lesson for Hanbin on how getting involved with the yakuza could take over your entire life so fast and easily.
The other's gaze on him was strong and questioning, but Hanbin didn't feel pressured, or not by him at least. There was a cold sensation on his stomach but it was regarding the motive that brought him here rather than 'Kame' or the fact that he was here. He knew for a fact that his father's disappearance had nothing to do with the Sumiyoshi-kai, and facts pointed to the innocence of Inagawa-kai as well. If Yamaguchi-gumi had nothing to do with either, then that left him with a possibly even more dangerous quest. Investigating the police, which was definitely not something he was looking forward to. And in case the police weren't responsible either, it came down to a possibility Hanbin did not want to consider, his father was a coward who had committed suicide or decided to flee and leave his wife and kids to their own destiny, possibly endangered by the very people he was running from.
Focusing back on the task at hand, Hanbin glanced over at the other once more, trying to read the expression on his face though the other must be used to not giving anything away considering his job and experience.
This time, he did let out a quiet scoff at the other's reply "I'm sure... I wonder why people still trust cops" He said sarcastically. The yakuza surely didn't, but considering the number of cops that were involved in illicit businesses, or even were aware of many other much more serious crimes but kept it hush, the citizens surely shouldn't be trusting them either. He sure as hell hadn't for a very long time.
Still, the other's reply was something already. A possible lead right now might mean valuable information. Of course, it could also mean risking his safety on the way if he had to expose more personal information but for now, the other looked rather relaxed, and if he did want to find his father, he'd have to give out his information at some point, so he might as well do it now "Kim Sunghoon... That's his name" He said strongly, hoping it might ring some bells for the other man "I don't know too much on what he did, but I know he looked over some illegal businesses to keep them rolling and keep the police away, that's why I thought you could have some information..." He added openly, now crossing his arms over his chest expecting something from the other, anything.
It was a gamble now, he knew at some point he'd be asked for something in exchange, these guys never worked for free "I do wonder what I could give you that you don't already have" He replied with a shrug. The other seemed to be close to the top of the chain, probably owned a lot of money, and had a lot of people working for him. Including a lot of informants as well. Hanbin did wonder what he had to offer, he needed to find something that would be valuable to the other because he needed whatever information he could give him and he wanted to trust the other for now, as he was running out of leads to follow.
"Is there anything you're in need of?" He asked though he wasn't sure if he should be leaving it up for the other to decide on whatever he wanted. Last case scenario he could offer his bar as a location for any type of business he might need though he really hated that idea.
@Kim Hanbin♙ Kame stared at Hanbin for a moment, as if trying to read through his eyes. “Just your everyday civilian, huh?” He wetted his lips before continuing. “That’s one more reason for you to not be here. Don’t taint your youth with the likes of us.” He was being honest with his words. Kazuya himself was dragged into the mafia world at a very young age, he couldn’t even say he chose to follow that path. The threads of destiny simply didn’t give him a different choice, and when he was old enough to walk on his own feet, he was already buried in the quicksand.
Of course the man could still be a police officer bluffing, but his guts told him the words were true - and he was right more often than not. He was known as a ruthless man, but if there was something that still bothered him was getting innocent people involved into his mess. Because of that, he would be extra careful dealing with the current situation. The youngster might be naive and a bit foolish for delving into yakuza territory alone and with an attitude, but that must also mean he had a good reason to be there, he could at least hear what he had to say.
He raised a brow at the mention of the father. Kamenashi himself didn’t have the best relationship with his own progenitor, it had been over a decade they had ceased contact and he wasn’t even sure if he was still alive. Maybe asking him out of all people wasn’t the best idea, as the family backstory didn’t touch him in the slightest, but at the same time it was true he was old in the business and had gathered a considerable amount of information and connections through the years. “There’re quite a few cops that fit the description,” he said, leaning a bit forward to rest his arms on his thighs. “If you tell me his name and give more information about him I might remember something, or maybe guide you towards someone who knows him.” A slight smile formed on his lips. “However, I don’t give any information for free. I wonder what a plain guy like you can give me in exchange.”
@Kamenashi Kazuya❖(山口組) "That's it..." He said with a simple shrug of his shoulders, expression remaining as serious as ever "I don't have an affiliation... No connections to anything or anyone, I'm just Hanbin" He stated again his voice strong and confident.
He was sure the other wouldn't just blindly trust him like that, but it was the truth. He did have some informants here and there, but it was no affiliation, just friends who'd give him information while getting nothing in return from him. He had no interest in getting involved with their business.
Hanbin felt his jaw tense again both at the question and the accusation. He wasn't trying to be evasive and he was rather confident this man was Kame indeed, but if he hadn't been there would be no use in their conversation. Of course the other wouldn't make it as simple as a question and answer though. Still, watching the other walking up so close to him, he decided it would be best to go straight to the question for now but before he could open his mouth to speak the door opened getting the attention of both men in the room. He nearly let out a scoff at the other's comment but refrained as he did want the other's cooperation in case he could be of help.
He kept his eyes on the other as he walked up to the door and though he couldn't hear what they were saying he assumed it would be something about him, otherwise there would've been no need to interrupt. Unless of course, it was something else of extreme importance, which didn't seem like the case considering the other's calmness.
The conversation didn't take long before the other walked back into the room, this time taking a seat.
"I'm looking for my father... I believe he might've had some affiliation with you" He started locking his eyes on the yakuza who faced him with the same intensity. He considered his words before continuing as the way he said it might have an impact on how it gets interpreted which might help or not his cause.
"He did work as a cop, but on the side, he was affiliated with the yakuza helping with their business and trading police information with them" He went on, his fingers unconsciously tapping on the fabric of the couch he was currently sitting on "He disappeared a few years ago and I thought maybe you could have any information on his whereabouts"
@Kim Hanbin♙ “Are you stupid or what?” Kame muttered in a stern tone before letting out a deep sigh. “I want to know your affiliation.” The guy was either very naive or very conceited. How in the world was he supposed to know who Hanbin was? He had met at least a dozen different men with the same name, none of which seemed to be the one that was standing before him.
He furrowed his eyebrows at the mention of his own name, ignoring the questions pointed at him. “And what do you want with him?” He moved from the wall while he spoke, taking a few steps towards the supposed Hanbin - his trust level was so low he wasn’t sure if he could believe any information thrown at him. “You’re not getting anything while you keep on trying to be evasive, if you want something you better start spitting it out,” he continued talking as he stopped in front of the other male, only about half a meter from him.
Right after, there was the sound of the door being opened, and Kame turned his eyes to look with his peripheral vision at Tatsuya, who peeked from outside. “Take it as a chance for you to think,” he said to the intruder before heading to the door, keeping it half open while his underling whispered to him. “The area is clear, sir.” It was a report about the brothel’s surroundings, some of Kame’s men went out to check as soon as Hanbin got in. “So he really is alone… Hm…” he thought out loud as he took a step back, returning to the room. “Thanks, Tatsuya.”
The yakuza leader was clearly more relaxed after the report, though he never let his guard totally down. “Alright, your turn now,” he said looking at the “visitor” once again. “Tell me everything about you and your intentions, so I can start thinking about getting you what you want.” Kame sat down on the edge of the bed, his eyes locked on Hanbin waiting for answers.
@Kamenashi Kazuya❖(山口組) Hanbin was a bit taken aback by the other's reply, he hadn't expected him to agree so quickly. Maybe some refutal, some 'why should I waste my time with you?' or even just straight out trying to get him out of the place. It seemed way too easy and that made Hanbin slightly wary of the situation, but he wasn't complaining, it just meant he'd have to be careful. He quickly offered the other a quick nod, he could follow a few rules if it meant possible information on his father and a more civilized conversation.
As one of the guy's underlings reached his hands towards him Hanbin nearly stepped back in surprise but quickly caught himself and simply lifted his arms a little to give the other some space to check.
"I'm not dumb enough to come here armed... I know that'd either end up on my gun getting taken away or trouble for my side... or both" He said softly, eyes locked on the main guy.
As his phone was taken though he gritted his teeth, and took a mental note to get a cheap phone to bring in these situations. There shouldn't be any problem but he still hated having his phone kept in the hands of these people.
"No problem..." He replied, though his jaw was still a bit tense.
They walked for a few moments towards the room that was being made available for them and the other's attitude was slightly getting on Hanbin's nerves. They were on his territory and it was filled with his own gang members so he was confident and relaxed, meanwhile, Hanbin had nothing on him but his own clothes. Still, he had nothing to lose here as he was not really a threat to them, so if he played his cards well maybe he could get out with more information than he had expected.
He could easily tell the room was towards the back by the number of corridors they passed and the way the sound of the music and people had lowered severely by the time they arrived.
His eyes carefully scanned the room and he was somewhat relieved at what seemed like a room either someone was staying in, or a room for escorts. Of course, it could be a trap, but he wanted to believe the other was giving him a chance.
He carefully took a seat as the other gestured him to do, and allowed his eyes to fall on the closed door where the man who'd accompanied them had disappeared, though he was sure he wouldn't go very far, before moving back to the other who now leaned comfortably against the wall, eyeing him questioningly.
"My name's Hanbin" He admitted after a few seconds of silently considering whether he should give his real name or go for a fake one "I'm here to talk to Kame?" He said nearly as a question as he'd only heard the name once from some of the gang members at the bar "I'm assuming that is you?"
@Kim Hanbin♙ Kame sat down while waiting for the matter to be taken care of. Pressing the back of his hand against his lips to rest his head, he stared at the entrance, carefully registering every step of the stranger as he was guided inside. At the smallest movement that seemed off before his eyes, he was ready to pull out his gun and order his underlings to surround the guy. His interest was raised when their sights crossed, just as expected the male hadn’t gone to the club to have fun.
“Good, because I’d like to talk to you too,” he replied while staring back at the other, his expression unchanged. “But you’ve gotta follow my rules in my territory.” For the first time he took his eyes off the intruder, jerking his head towards him while looking at one of the fellow yakuza members. “Tatsuya.” There was no need for further explanation, Tatsuya knew what the leader meant just from his small movements.
Hands immediately reached out to the loner’s body, groping all over to check for any guns. As he seemed to be clear, the underling finished by sliding his hand into the pants’ pocket and taking his cellphone. “My friend here will keep it for now. Don’t worry, he’ll take good care of it,” Kame said, his voice never changing its pitch. After thinking for a brief moment, he let out a hum and turned to another of his men. “Find us an empty room.”
The subordinate went ahead hastily and Kame followed a few meters behind. They were headed to a corridor in the rear of the club, where the es’ rooms were located. Kame had an office that was usually used for discussing professional matters, but he wouldn’t risk taking a stranger there. The office was also where he kept documents and his equipment, not a location he’d easily guide a potential cop to. After knocking on a few doors and talking to a girl nearby, the underling finally opened a door, nodding to Kazuya before getting in.
The decoration of the room was just as old-fashioned as the one outside. The walls were bright red, the floor was dark with flower-like patterns and the main point of the room was a king size bed with a black duvet. Kame motioned for the visitor to sit on a two seater couch by the side of the bed and leaned against the wall, while the underling stood right behind the closed door. “First things first, who are you and what brought you here?”
@Kamenashi Kazuya❖(山口組) Whenever he was conducting his own investigation, Hanbin knew to always be alert. Making use of his observing skills, he kept an eye on what was going on behind his back through any possible reflecting decorative object present in front of him, and thanks to this, the superior looking man that briefly joined them followed by two big guys did not go unnoticed. Assuming those had been 'bodyguards' that would mean the man was important in the business, possibly even the owner. Not that the superiors of such businesses needed bodyguards really, but it was always good to have backup, so he was sure if there was anyone here that could answer his questions it would be him.
Hanbin was only offered up to a minute before one of the men came up to him looking rather threatening. He immediately recognized the hand placement meaning the other possibly owned a gun.
Since it was rather common for them to carry guns he couldn't tell if the other was bluffing, but it would be risky for him to draw a gun in there and it would get attention for sure. Hanbin considered his options for a quick second before deciding it would be better to not raise problems just yet, if the other was inside, maybe he could get him to talk to him.
"Sure..." He replied simply, sliding his phone in his pocket before moving towards the entrance to what he assumed would be the actual hall where the business happened.
The lights were dim and there were actually a few people inside as Hanbin made his way in. His eyes carefully scanned the room for the man he'd seen before but it wasn't easy to find through the crowd. Ignoring the girls working and the obvious customers, he stepped further into the room, eyes still looking around, and after a while, his glance finally fell on the other.
The man was sitting on a couch and just by his posture and the expression on his face, Hanbin could tell that if he wasn't the owner, he sure as hell was right under him. He took careful steps towards him, thinking of what he should say to get him to talk to him in private.
As soon as he was close enough to be heard, while still leaving a safe distance he looked the other straight in the eye, expression strong and fearless. Through various failed attempts he'd learned how they work, if you show fear or hesitance it won't work "I would like to talk to you... sir"
@Kim Hanbin♙ It was just another day of work for Kame, he was sitting on a black leather sofa at the end of the saloon while taking a look around to make sure business was under control. The place was a cliche trying-to-be-fancy Kabukicho club at first glance, with blue lights, mirrors and black furniture everywhere. However, if you spent only a few minutes there, the girls would start inviting you to the rooms in the back, for a price. One of the women had just come back with a drink to hand to Kame when a heavily tattooed male patted her shoulder, calling the attention of everyone around towards himself. “There’s someone suspicious outside, sir,” he said, causing the older man to raise a brow. “You can’t solve anything on your own, can you?” the leader replied with a deep sigh and stood up, motioning for the girl to get out of the way.
His underlings were as scattered around the building as the neon lights and they all noticed right away when the superior started to move. Kame talked to a few of them on his way, telling them to stay ready in case the situation escalated. Two of his most trusted men followed him, along with the one who brought the news. When they got close to the entrance, the latter signaled towards the man talking on the phone, and Kame watched in silence, trying not to bring the attention to him. “Tell the guy to get in already,” he ordered before taking a few steps back inside, so he wouldn’t be spotted by someone in the street who could be backing the supposed spy.
One of the subordinates headed out, standing in front of the intruder while puffing his chest and tilting his chin upwards. “Are you going in or not?” he asked, sliding a hand inside his pants’ waistband, implying he had a gun on him. “If you’re really waiting for someone, do it inside.” His tone of voice made it clear that he didn’t believe the act the stranger was putting on. That wasn’t the kind of place that people usually met with their friends.
@Kamenashi Kazuya❖(山口組) After hearing some of his guests mentioning 'Kame's brothel' during one of his breaks for a smoke, Hanbin spent hours and hours searching for information on said 'brothel' but nothing came up. He tried to get information through some of his connections and even attempted on listening in or mentioning it to some of his customers who he knew to be Yamaguchi-kai members but it all seemed to be very well kept information since no one seemed to know about it and those who did were rather good at keeping the information private. Still, he managed to find a location if nothing else, and that's how Hanbin found himself pushing through the doors of what could easily be mistaken for a nightclub but was apparently the brothel previously mentioned.
He stood by the door for a few seconds, his eyes scanning the area. He wasn't sure who to talk to or where to be headed so he allowed his eyes to look around for a while, taking in the layout and decoration, but most importantly the people around. Through his peripheral vision, he noticed one of the employees seemed to be keeping his eyes on him so he slid his phone out of his pocket pretending to pick up a call.
"Yeah... I'm already here" He spoke onto the phone though there was no one on the other side, his feet pacing around a bit more as he nodded his head to nothing in particular "I'll wait then... Don't worry, take your time" He faked the reply, hoping it would buy him some time to not be approached by the staff or rushed to do something.
Wondering around a bit more he eventually found a nice spot to sit, where he could listen in on nearly all the 'staff' talking to each other, all the while eyes on his phone pretending to entertain himself as he 'waited' when he was actually taking notes of any information he found may be important for later.
@Jung Taekwoon♘ There was so much delight and excitement that went through his delicate body when he saw the smirk the other gave when pushed against the wall. Yuta could already assume this was going to be a long night filled with teasing and the competition for domination. He continued to use his knee to rub the growing length of the taller male. "Leo..." He repeated in a low, almost breathy voice. Before he knew it however, he felt his wrist being tugged into the direction of the restroom, his laugh echoing through the hallway at Leo's comment.
"So impatient. I guess you're not the one to have any hm?" He asked, more in a teasing way rather than a serious way. After a moment of almost running with the other to the restrooms, he took the lead and pulled the other in with him, claiming a stall and locking the door behind them. Wasting no time, his long arms wrapped around Leo's neck and he began to kiss him deeply with passion. His body pressed against the taller's as they kissed, becoming more aggressive each passing moment as he finally felt that impatient feeling begin to bubble in his mind; all he wanted at this point was to be bent over and ed until he couldn't walk at all. Yuta's fingers combed themselves into the blonde before tugging his head back, his eyes opening for a moment to look at the other. "You're so y... I want you to me." He breathed, no hesitation at all in his words.
@Jung Taekwoon♘ Yuta had not been this excited and truly aroused in a while. The man before him was absolutely delicious and he wasn't going to let anything stop him from getting something good for once. He noticed those lingering, dark orbs gazing over his body in hunger and was loving every second as if he craved this sort of attention more than anything in the world. His smirk turned into a small and almost innocent smile as he placed his smaller hands into the larger ones. "Prince Charming hm? Usually I would be called princess but this works better for me." He responded, leaning closer so he could be heard over the loud club music playing in the background.
He knew exactly where he was going. Towards the restrooms as one, it was free and Yuta wasn't going to pay for that luxury, and two the bathrooms were just fine. His gaze shifted back towards the taller as he continued to walk. "That's bold of you to assume I will be screaming. You have to give me something I can scream about first." He teased, before knowing it his back pressed against the wall and his chin tilted up to face the oh-so-handsome, dominant man. However he had something else in store for him. "Yuta Nakamoto." He spoke, pushing himself against the other and walking him backwards so the taller was against the opposite wall in the hallway, a small yet sinful smirk appearing on his lips. "And what's yours?" He asked with the raise of his brow, his knee pushing forwards against the other's bulge.
@Jung Taekwoon♘ Yuta had been at this club for almost 3 hours now. He hadn't gotten a costumer due to there being either too unattractive of men or people offering too low of prices for his liking. Though he seriously couldn't complain about prices since he was easier than the average e. However tonight he wants someone more on the good-looking side rather than the old and creepy scale. He was sporting his usual outfit consisting of a white dress shirt with the top buttons undone, a pair of black skinny jeans, and his reliable combat boots that were actually gifted from a costumer. Finally he strutted his way over to the bar area, his eyes fixated on he bottle of tequila from afar. It was the only drink that made him feel good anymore.
After sweet talking the bartender into giving him a free shot, his eyes scanned the room as he tapped a finger against the glass, finally halting his eyes when he found a pair fixated on his own. Finally. Somebody worth his time. A very handsome somebody at that. After a few moments of basically undressing the other male from afar, he downed his small shot of tequila and started making his way through the body of people, before knowing it standing in front of the male with a small smirk. "You look too handsome to be all alone. May I join you?" He asked, honey dripping from every word he spoke as his eyes traveled down the man's body in the most alluring way. This was his new mission and he wasn't going to fail.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ "Hm?" He rests his cheek on the other's back as he hums lazily, before looking up at the male when he turns around. They share a few pecks here and there, soon having him chuckle before tapping gently on his lips. "Don't steal my line." He grins before letting him go and grabbing another set of uniform for himself, grunts a bit when his legs are shaking as he puts on his boxers and pants. "..." that sweet sore reminds him of everything, and he has to admit the sore part isn't really beneficial for work. "Today I am going to stay in front of my computer and not do patrolling," He chuckles while putting on his uniform.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ Hearing those teasing words that ghostly itched his heart, Jeonghan shoots a glare back at Seungcheol with his cheeks flushed, but then can't help to recall what happened during yesterday's shower. Stealing another peck from the male, Jeonghan hums his way to the bathroom and starts to freshen himself up, trying to enjoy a small morning moment before they face the real thing. After stepping out the shower, he dries his wet hair with a small towel and looks for Seungcheol, who is raiding his closet for his uniform. Luckily they are of a similar build, he thinks, sneaking up behind him before wrapping his arms around him. "Hey."
@Choi Seungcheol♘ "I have to..."It is not a choice, but something compulsory. Surely after yesterday's incident, the two of them would be the focus of all their teammates and perhaps the head too. Anyone of them not going to work is only increasing their own suspicion. If Jeonghan doesn't go to work, it could be seen as a sign that he knew he was debunked and finding a way to cover up his tracks, while for Seungcheol it could mean he is trying to covering up Jeonghan since they are very well known to be close in the force. "I will go wash up and you get up slowly hm?" With a small peck on his lips, Jeonghan gets off his bed and heads off to the bathroom, stretching himself out while groaning softly at the soreness at his lower body.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ It was surprisingly easier for him to fall asleep last night despite all the ty things that took place. Even though he was not positive in welcoming the next day and the following days, sleep naturally took place as he was in Seungcheol's arms. He didn't have much memory falling asleep, but the next thing he heard was an alarm blaring them out of bed. With an unwilling whine, he leans in closer while chuckling at the kisses, turning around with his arms around his waist. "Wakey wakey," He hums before pressing a kiss onto his lips, although he is unsure what is there to expect, he is not going to back off for the sake of Seungcheol. Guess it is always time for some shameless living, because his colleagues are certainly going to suspect something if he acts suspicious and scared as if they really have something on him.
@Ong Seongwu❂(住吉会) When he heard the door being opened, Kame’s eyes shifted from his phone screen to the male’s face. “Hello,” he replied shortly, not bothering to introduce himself as the other must already know his name at that point. He placed the phone into his jacket’s pocket and took a moment to look at Seongwu up and down, as if trying to read if he had any hostile intentions. “You can place them here,” he said as he stood up from the table he was sitting on and gave it a few taps. There were three of his underlings inside the room, one right behind him, one next to the door and one close to the “visitor”. It was supposed to be a smooth negotiation, so they didn’t hold any guns, but all of them had at least one hidden somewhere in their clothes, ready to put them into use if something went wrong. “Take the products out of any boxes or packages, I want to see the contents well,” he added as he waited, one of his hands inside his pants’ pocket.
@Kamenashi Kazuya❖(山口組) It was strange for him to be in Yamaguchi–Gumi territory, especially since he was a rookie distributor in these parts of town. But, hey, when business comes knocking, Seongwu answers. When he arrived at the brothel, it was surprisingly emptier than he had expected, but he guessed that's why Kamenashi needed his drugs in the first place. He could've sworn he passed by quite a few hidden brothels on the way, so he wouldn't be surprised if business was at a standstill. Entering the back room, the male announced his arrival with a "Anybody home?" but once he spotted the brothel owner, Seongwu bowed his head out of courtesy. Couldn't be too cautious dealing with other gangs, after all. "Ong Seongwu, at your service." This was honestly the first time he'd laid eyes on the man. He may not be too elusive, but to the young heir who barely stepped foot onto foreign territory, Kamenashi was a peculiar face to see. "I've come with your supplies," Seongwu continued as he stepped further into the club. "Where should I put them?"
@Choi Seungcheol♘ Those words mumbled out proved his uncertainty, and Jeonghan knows it best. Tonight is a crucial night for the two of them and from now on, every path for them is bound to be challenging and full of trials. He recalls the first time he made a deal with one of the Yakuza members, adrenaline pumped up at the secrecy and the receipt of the money...perhaps he should have expected the worst. "You are more than anything, Cheol," He presses his lips together, eyes looking up at his face. "Mhm, goodnight baby..." With a small yawn, his arms wrap around Seungcheol's frame, as they slowly drift off the neverland.
@Ong Seongwu❂(住吉会) Things weren’t going well for Kame. A new brothel had opened its doors, a place where all girls looked like models, probably after going through many plastic surgeries. The owner could only have invested a large sum of money on the business, aiming to attract all clients from Kabukicho and put the other brothels in a tough spot. Kame had to step up his game quickly, but it was hard to come up with something that hadn’t been tried yet in Japan, even more that he could implement in such a short time. He talked to another yakuza about the matter and was told to poison the owner of the rival brothel, which finally gave him a promising idea. There was a member of Sumiyoshi-kai who was good at formulating medicine, and maybe instead of poison he could produce an aphrodisiac that would give the clients the best night of their lives. Of course, no one could know he was resorting to someone from a rival faction, so Kame was waiting for the delivery in a room in the back of his “night club”, where he could go in without being seen.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ "Mhm," With a small aegyo hidden in his hum, he nudges the older with his head at the crook of his neck. This moment felt like a short moment in heaven before the storm, and he is still feeling surreal of all this. "Will it be suspicious if we both don't turn up for work?" He pulls away, unsure of the possibility of having both of them not going to work together, it may make things ugly for Seungcheol perhaps letting the force think he is on Jeonghan's side, and he doesn't want that to happen. "You are...so ethereal, Cheol." Out of the world, he thinks. Will someone ever treat him like Seungcheol? He can't think of anyone. Pulling away from him, he sinks himself onto the pillow with his hand still holding Seungcheol's, not willing to let go. "Come sleep with me," He murmurs.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ His words melted him like cotton candy, and he is not sure if this is good for him or not. He always wanted to be loved and cared, but betrayals had turned him into a hedgehog who is sensitive. But Seungcheol...he just seems to have his way around him that can make him easily give in to him no matter what. That peaceful feeling even when it is chaotic outside, the love he could feel at the tip of his touch...he wants it. "And I will stay with you the best I can. No matter what will happen, I will not abandon you too." He whispers, words so light yet carved in his heart like an ode he would follow for the rest of his life.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ "I do?" Jeonghan asks carefully, wondering if he ever does. If there is one thing that he had learned best from growing up without shelter and abandoned by people, it is to not worry others and deal everything himself. Causing others trouble is one of the last things he wants to do and now they have come to the topic, it made him wonder. Perhaps he did since now Seungcheol knows his secret, even decided to keep it for him, it would cause him problems that he had never thought of. He can't help but to feel bad, but soon that feeling fades at his assuring words. "I don't know what would I do if you go, or leave me." A hand gently caressing Seungcheol's head, he presses a kiss onto his crown. "I am sorry."
@Choi Seungcheol♘ Jeonghan let himself relax in Seungcheol's arms, compared to the tensed and uncomfortable situation just now. Tonight is very long and all of a sudden he just want to stay awake, as if time will always stay at this night and not proceed to tomorrow if he does. "Yeah..." He nods in agreement at Seungcheol's question, indeed too much of thoughts occupying himself that made him unable to find himself sleepy at all. "I don't want to worry you," He says, does not want Seungcheol to be more worried and troubled by him.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ Thoughts thread around his brain like a ball of yarn played by a cat, nothing made the best sense and only Seungcheol's promise made him calmer than before. Looking at him, Seungcheol is the only hope he has, and nothing else will be. Closing his eyes, Jeonghan nods quietly at his words, voice soft like a feather as he whispers. "I can't fall asleep..."
Jeonghan never thought things would be that complicated. When he first started selling intels to the Yakuzas, only two outcomes are clear in his mind: getting caught or not. If he is good at covering up and never gets caught, he could have accumulated some money and let himself have a better life than now. But if he ever gets caught, he would just be driven out from the force, and lose a friend. As of now, things have gotten way tougher than it seems.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ He had always portrayed the moment when the force caught him, or suspected him to be the snitch. Sure, the Yakuzas may not risk to turn him in if they intel from him, but he can not be unprepared for the possible outcomes. What if they have found another informant in the force? What if they were equally afraid of him giving them away so they turned him in first? Cunning like the foxes, brutal like the snakes, Jeonghan thought he was ready. But Seungcheol's existence broke everything apart, giving him the most crucial hit in the heart. It was one of the situations he never wanted to happen, to have the man whom he had cared for years to find out his doing. And then things took its turns, they confessed, promised to keep secrets, made love, and now it was time to face the reality.
"I- understand," He nods, turning to him with a small uncertain look when he realized what he said. Keeping distance at work, but perhaps not in private lives? He is tired of getting loved and abandoned, he doesn't want to lose the only person he has right now. "I know," He quietly wipes off the tear that is about to roll off, "I will keep you safe, I will keep us safe." He purses his lips at the seemingly assuring promise, only hoping the situation he mentioned would be the best before they are ready.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ Those words crush into his heart like glass shards, as if a total turnover from all they had experienced tonight, it truly hurt him in that moment, and all of a sudden nothing came out from him, only the suffocation in his chest. "I shouldn't, but I did." Jeonghan says in a soft voice, trembling as if he is going to break any second. "And you know all parts of me, we are risks to each other." With a long sigh, his gaze drops down to the floor, as if another dream has been shattered on the ground in front of him. Maybe he still wanted to live a better life, but things are ed up ever since the start.
"I know, I can foresee how things will change if you eventually promote to that spot," He blinks, hand mindlessly drumming at his shoulder. "We both know how this place is, evil, corrupted in every way. And you will be the one who changes that." A small sigh escapes his lips, as if there's more onto that thought. "I hope to be there if you rise to that spot." His face is decorated with a smile, adding a bit of life to that exhausted face.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ "I have your heart, I think that's enough," He hums in a playful smile, cupping his face with one hand as they share the short yet sweet kiss. He is the happiest man tonight and that gives him courage to face whatever it comes tomorrow, or the many more days after that. But still, he has to come up with a way that is best for them both, out of all chaotic situations. "Cheol..." He wants to say something, but he does not know what to say. It seems that Seungcheol is insistent in keeping him safe, which he is grateful for, but he is afraid things might turn worse before they have come up with a way to deal with this situation. Only tears come out before any words, as he sighs into his neck. "What would I be without you, . I love you."
Listening to his words, casually said but filled with a hidden determination that Jeonghan can sense, somehow it puts him in ease. Seungcheol really knows what he is doing, and that itself already wins in all cases. "You know I will always be here with you, and be there for whatever decision you make." He presses a kiss onto his shoulder and hums. "Right, you are the best man for next in line I know of, honestly." He smiles softly and eats another piece of steak, filling up the long forgotten stomach.
@Choi Seungcheol♘ "I will fight you on bed instead," He turns around and presses his lips against the other, chuckling as he does so. Such affection has been coming out naturally that it really shows how much feelings has been hidden under his facade all these years. Hearing Seungcheol's words, he had nothing to say but biting his lip, knowing how much of a trouble he has caused now that the two of them know about this. "I am helpless. I trust that you will keep this a secret but we can't say for sure. If one day..." He pauses, the unspoken line being the worst scenario. "You will have to cuff me in. One down is better than two, I can't drag you down in this."
His hand ghosts on his shoulder before rubbing a certain spot and pressing a kiss onto it, listening to him patiently on what he wanted to share. He had no idea the relationship between Seungcheol and the Chief being that strong, and to think that he actually contributed the essential things for Seungcheol at that crucial time, Jeonghan was suddenly a bit grateful. "You said you wanted that spot...and I am worried that he backed off. Now that he had control on you, you can do nothing but listen. What if there was someone else who used the same way and became his new attention? What you have worked for so hard would have gone to vain..." He honestly stated out his thoughts. If the Chief had this strong connection and reliance on Seungcheol, if he adored Seungcheol that much, he won't be worried. But if he backed out, which is possible, Seungcheol would be on the losing side. "At this point, we are no perfect human, Cheol."
@Choi Seungcheol♘ "Well I will win you on this one," He sticks his tongue out playfully, teasing him back not wanting to lose. Although he knows at the end of the day he would still give in to this man, the bantering is still enjoyable. "Cheol..." Jeonghan purses his lips. How could he forget what Seungcheol hated the most? Did he perhaps forget what ruined their life the most in this place, and the promises they had vowed to uphold in their hearts all this time after all? But he would never want to give him a hard time, he didn't want to make him choose to turn against his promises just to protect him. This would not last long.
His feeding hand pauses when he speaks, seemingly his part of the story that Jeonghan never get to hear himself. Every word hitting into his heart as he stares down at the floor, somehow embarrassed of himself. Seungcheol did everything to make the world a better place, but him? He . Thinking that to himself, a problem slowly arises as he murmurs softly. "Are you sure that he will speak good of you? What if...he's just using you and in the end you had nothing?"
