@Yang Hongseok♙ /it was a night much like every other. i was behind the counter attending to people's requests, watching drunk guys dance the night away, and keeping an eye out for any possible trouble.
i was in the middle of cleaning up one of the cups with a wet cloth when i noticed a new client taking a sit in one of the stools. most of the bar guests were regulars, and even if didn't fully know every single person who'd been here, i was pretty sure i hadn't seen this man here before. setting the cup back with the others and throwing the cloth down on the counter i immediately move towards him offering my best smile/
goodnight! may I get you something to drink?
/i ask already reaching for one of the cocktail cups before the man's words stop me/
just the sparkling water?
/i probably look a bit surprised, but i keep my cheerful smile. it's not everyone that comes over to order simplya glass of sparkling water. some do request for just water when it's nearing morning and they've head a few too many drinks, or the dance floor is getting a bit too stuffy, but never this early in the night, and never for their first drink so this gets my attention/
@Kim Hanbin♙ /pampering myself with an excessive time free from work has never been something my organism reached for very frequently. but lately I seem to notice some sort of change. perhaps it's just me getting old, after all I will turn thirty in two years, or maybe I've became a bit more sentimental when observing my co-workers and listening to their family adventures and shenanigans. to tell the truth, only a bunch of plants awaits my return from work, there's no sound of liveliness, there isn't any warm body to hold. and maybe that's why I often choose the company of cold ones. this night, however, I decide to convince myself that my social skills didn't die yet, and instead of hitting the bed, I get ready to visit a few local bars. I haven't touched alcohol in months, if not years, but getting drunk is the last thing on my rather short 'to do' list. pushing the door open, I let myself in, being welcomed by nice music playing in the background and relatively thin crowd of people. I make my way to the bar, looking around briefly in case I spot a familiar face. tokyo is a small city, right? I take a seat at the barstool and smile at the first bartender who noticed me/ hello. a glass of cool sparkling water, please.
@Yoon Jeonghan♘ Following the other without losing track of him and without being spotted was no easy task. He had to keep a good distance as to not seem suspicious, but if he fell behind for too long he wouldn't be able to know where the other was headed. Whenever the other turned into a different street Hanbin would cross the street, peeking out of the corner of his eye and finally follow him after he was gone from his field of vision.
He was not that good at this type of investigation. He was good at talking to people and getting them to talk to him, unconsciously sharing information they didn't believe would be of importance. He was also good at working his connections to get certain details, or doing his own research be it through previous documents, internet pages, or anything else, but following someone? He hadn't had to do it often and was worried he'd make it obvious. Especially considering the other was an intel collector. He was probably used to sneaking around. Hopefully the other hadn't noticed him.
@Kim Hanbin♙ After the last deal, it had been almost a month when the people over there called him for intels. And this time, a number of them were needed, almost double the amount of their usual capacity. But it was not Jeonghan's duty to find out why, he just had to do his job and give them what they need, then check his account to make sure they transacted the money to him. That's it.
It took about a week for him to gather all those intel needed, the force had been investigating something internal and it was not a great timing for the bulk order to come. But of course the gang could not bear him more time, it was urgent and Jeonghan had to clench his teeth and finish his part. Now, it was time to hand them the USB and he could just go home and rest. However, this fishy feeling had been clouding his chest ever since he done work. He was always sensitive and it was somehow beneficial for his line of work here. As he walked passed a dark alley, a man was sitting there doing nothing, but he could feel something as he made a turn, his eye corner caught the shadows getting up. Unsure if this was him overthinking or not, he took out his phone and continued heading to the meet up spot.
@Yoon Jeonghan♘ Sitting on the dusted steps of an abandoned building, Hanbin waited for the other. He acted as iff he was only there for some fresh air or waiting for somebody else, earphones in his ears though they weren't connected to any device, he needed to be able to hear in case the other showed up.
During his last shift at the bar, he was standing at by the 'staff only' door for a smoke during his break and managed to hear the other talking on the phone about meeting someone in the area. He had been keeping an eye on the boy for a while, but this was his best chance to get some info, so he took the night off in hopes of catching something of interest.
He waited for nearly an hour and it was getting rather late, there was not a lot of light in this zone but he still recognized the other man when he saw him. He stayed still in his relaxed position, nodding his head to the beat of an imaginary song, as the other passed by him and continued forward barely sparing him a glance. He waited for the other to make a turn before finally getting up and quietly following after him, making sure to keep a good few meters between them so the other wouldn't spot him.
@Denis Dang♙ Hidden by the shadows of the buildings, Haein had crushed up a few of the pills into a fine powder. He pulled out a syringe that was supposed to be filled with a diluting solution but in his carelessness, didn't realise that he had taken the one that was filled with water instead. He poured the powder into the syringe, swirling it around to mix it up before sliding his sleeve up, exposing his arm that was littered with small puncture holes. He pierced his skin with the needle, injecting the solution into his vein.
He hisses quietly as the effects of the drug was almost immediate, causing him to black out momentarily, dropping the syringe noisily, collapsing back to lean against the wall.
@Ong Seongwu❂(住吉会) The day ended pretty much meaningless for Jeonghan. He pretty much apologized for the failed mission all the way back and even though his teammates claimed that it was fine, it only made him feel worse. The rage however, did not change for Seongwoo. It was because of him, that the mission went in vain. And to trigger him even more, the male was asking him out for dinner. Jeonghan slept those thoughts away as he didn't even put that in mind, not wanting to turn up for the offer. He could just get a new badge for replacement, that's not a big deal, Seongwoo could just keep the badge with him. But things didn't turn out the way he wanted, as the next day when he went to work, he was told the replacement would need 100 dollars. Always tight on his expenses, Jeonghan cursed in his mind and sighed, it seems like the dinner date for tonight was still on.
He was working the morning shift, but he stayed back until late enough just to see if Seongwoo would call off the date himself. Surprisingly, as he walked passed the restaurant, the male was already waiting under the street light, and something in his senses thought he might be waiting for a while now. "Mhm." Coldly responding to the calling, Jeonghan didn't think it was a good choice to come for the dinner, but he had to get the badge, and obviously he didn't want to spend a penny on this above his tight budget. "I am just here to get my badge," He looks up at the restaurant, secretly analysing the price level of the menu before looking back. "Not here for dinner."
His demand was pretty vague now that Seongwu had time to mull it over. "Dinner" was all he said. How did he expect the other to know what time to show up? The male nearly facepalmed himself at the mistake since he was already standing beneath the corner street light, anxiously awaiting for the arrival of his companion. One look at his watch told him it was a bit too early to be considered dinnertime, yet there he was. The longer he waited, however, the more he was worried that Jeonghan wasn't going to show. The cop's badge was the only trophy Seongwu had that connected him to the latter. With the street light reflecting off its metal star as he flipped it over in his hand, he couldn't help wondering, badges weren't replaceable were they? Another potential mistake that he could've avoided if he had just been more careful. But, to hell with it. He was already here.
Gazing down the sidewalk, the sight of a familiar head of blonde hair made him exhale a breath he didn't realize he was holding. It not only brightened his mood, but restored his brimming confidence. Another big grin made its way onto Seongwu's face at the other's much awaited appearance as he greeted curtly, "Jeonghan." On the one hand, the former was almost ecstatic that the cop actually showed, but on the other, he questioned just what he was going to do now that he had him in his grasp. It's not as if they were friends having a friendly dinner with some friendly conversation. He would have to figure out how to get along with Jeonghan without one, making the guy hate his guts by the end of the night and two, selling himself out because he couldn't keep his mouth shut.
@Ong Seongwu❂(住吉会) It almost took all the patience he had not to beat up the man in front of him. His gaze staring straight at his face, and if looks could kill, Seongwu was no longer in a whole body to him. Why did it have to be him?! Jeonghan cursed himself multiple times in the head, why did he have to let his secret being held tightly in the hand of some brat to make his life difficult? It was no secret to the other what a corrupted cop he was, but the fact that they used it to make his teammates fail on their missions made him even madder. When the male offered to bring him out to dinner, a snort escaped his lips. How dare the male even offered that, this was just him trying to piss him off even more. And if he accepted that, he would just be a clown-
"What the hell-" Before he could say a word to reject him, the male had took his badge and ran away. Brat. He murmured, but he had no choice. This meant he had to attend the dinner offer to get his badge back. He rolled his eyes, what in hell did he do to have himself being put in such a situation? He sighed, heading back to the van where his teammates were waiting for him. "Let's go boys. If it doesn't work this time, we will have'em next time." Although deep inside he knew, as long as it's regarding the male, he would have nothing on him.
@Yoon Jeonghan♘ The male watched with a satisfied grin as Jeonghan dismissed his teammates. It took all his willpower not to wave them good bye since it would've been considered rude to the cop who was standing helplessly before him. Ignoring his insult, Seongwu retorted with an enthusiastic, "Why, thanks!" Afterwards, he practically waltzed his way over to the other's side to place a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, tell you what? Why don't I make it up to you?" Though he was already getting on the cop's nerves, he couldn't help but further since he knew the power he held at that very moment. "I'll take you out to dinner," Seongwu said with a quirk of his lips. It may have been a joke to the other, but he actually said it with some seriousness. Somewhere in his head, he was hoping the other would say yes. It wasn't his first time laying eyes on Jeonghan, after all. His head of soft blonde hair showing up at the Sumiyoshi–Kai house was all it took for the young heir's interest to be piqued.
But, even for someone as nonchalant as Seongwu, he couldn't stand to hear the rejection leaving the other's lips. So before the male could even give him a proper response, the former grabbed a hold of his police badge. Inspecting it carefully before shoving it into his bag, he declared, "I'll be taking this until you make your decision. Tomorrow, restaurant at the corner. See you then!" With a mischievous smile, he ran off into the dark cover of the alleyway.
@Ong Seongwu❂(住吉会) When Jeonghan received the call from their informant, he did not even hesitate a bit before dashing out the office with his team as they hopped on their van and headed to the given destination. It had been months since they planned for this operation to take down some of the Yakuza members, and everyone on Jeonghan's team had been preparing for this moment. This is it, once they caught them red-handed, it will be the same interrogation trick applied to them to make them spill the beans, then they have more information about the gangs to break them apart.
But when they arrived on the scene, the sight of Ong Seongwoo immediately drew out his hopes of arresting them, and the teasing words from the latter only boiled his blood further as his gaze intensified on him. With his father in power above him, it was blocking Jeonghan and his team to go on further with their intervention. Trying to push down his anger, Jeonghan brushed his hair back with his hand and turned to his teammates. "Not this one, guys." His heart was beating fast when he lied, but he could not show his teammates how he was any related to the male, even when he was being so damn obvious. "You're just in luck, brat." After dismissing his teammates with only the two of them, he whispered with wrath.
@Yoon Jeonghan♘ It was a failed operation, which only happened once in a blue moon for Seongwu who was always very meticulous with his work. Today, however, the unexpected presence of an electrical repairman in his target's home threw him out of the loop. He had to quickly abandon his mission just as the police were called on-site. However, a bigger grin couldn't have been on the male's face when he caught sight of just who had come to arrest him. "Well well well, if it isn't Yoon Jeonghan?" the male quipped without a care in the world. All his worries about being tossed into jail were quickly dashed upon the other's arrival. "Guess that means you can put those handcuffs away."
The sight of the corrupt cop was a blessing to him. Fortunately for the young heir, the first cop on the scene was Jeonghan, who just happened to be on his father's payroll. Casually gathering his belongings, Seongwu took a few steps forward to approach the latter, all the while giving him a once-over. For such a pretty face, the other sure had on a nasty expression at the moment. He couldn't help but flash a bright smile, not only at his luck, but at the fact that both he and Jeonghan knew exactly what the cop had to do in that situation. "Do me a favor this once, alright?"
@Denis Dang♙ Haein loitered around the alleyway, using the shadows of the high walls as a cover for him. He tried to look casual, taking ocaassional puffs of his cigarette, but his sight was focused on the transaction that was happening across the street from him. Even though the two men were dressed up, in expensive suits and such, his gut was telling him this was not a simple business deal. Knowing these streets, it was highly likely that this was the shipment that he had been waiting for.
Following the owner of the briefcase, he scanned his surroundings, looking for something that could serve as a distraction for him to finish the job. Seeing a crowd of people heading towards them, he seized this moment to bump into the man, lightly enough for it to seem like an accident, but hard enough that both of them dropped their briefcases. With a simple sleight of hand, Haein ended up with the other's man case and with an apologetic smile and bow hurried away, leaving him with a case full of vitamin tablets.
He dips into another alleyway, getting off the main street and away from prying eyes, using the back lanes to connect back to where his hideout was located. Once he made sure that he was alone, he put down the briefcase, opening it up and pulling out one of the packets. The pills seemed harmless enough, but he had heard enough buzz on the street to know that he was dealing with a new, more potent concoction.
@Lee Taeyong❖(山口組) Plumber jobs were one of Mingis favorite and least favorite jobs. Favorite because it could get any more peaceful than just being the guy to fix a pipe. No trouble with problematic people. Just there to get the water running again. Least favorite because it could get pretty disgusting. Everything had it's good and bad sides tho. And as long as clients paid Mingi worked. He arrived at the address given to him in time, greeting his client at the door with a kind smile, introducing himself as Song Mingi from the Handyman company "Princess". He got right to work, glad that he was helping an elderly couple and their grandson. It seemed like such a wholesome scene. What a nice family. The water was turned off, the pipe removed and investigated and then fixed, some old and rather rusty parts needed some exchanging as well but nothing too major or expensive.
What Mingi however failed to notice was how he'd been followed to his clients home. And how the people outside were waiting for the right moment to set their plan into action.
Which was basically just as Mingi started re-assembling the parts of the pipe.
The thugs just simply rang the doorbell.
@Song Mingi♙ Taeyong came home to his grandparents, normally very sweaty and very sore. Kissing his ma and pa’s cheek as they sat by the TV, he prepared them lunch with the groceries he had picked up. It was going to be a gentle beef stew with lots of vegetables, not too heavy but very filling. “How was work Taegie?” Ma asked from the living room. “It was good. Nice class, nice people. How is the lottery?” “Lee Seungcheol is not doing well, but he’ll pick it up.” Ma threw her grandson a thumbs up, giving him a confident wink which made him grin.
“Good ma, good,” Checking the kitchen clock, he knew the plumber was going to arrive to help with some of the pipes in a couple minutes (if he was timely). Taeyong had done a clean background check of the man to make sure he wasn’t a gang scum bag about to screw him. The Gumi pet had gathered some cash over the past week from blowing and blue balling old geezers who lost feeling in their wee wee. It was worth it though, to make sure that ma and pa didn’t slip if Taeyong wasn’t home and a pipe burst. So all there was was making food for four, setting up his ma and pa’s eating place, and then watching over the handyman to see if he could also figure out how to do pipe work without needing to pay another person.
@Hwang Hyunjin❂(住吉会) The motorcycle between Hoseok's powerful thighs gave a final triumphant roar before he killed the engine after pulling up on the curb. Kicking the stand into place, he swung his leg over to climb off and reached up to take off his helmet, securing it on the back of his bike. He was still a few blocks from where his destination was, but it was much more discrete going on foot rather than parking his noisy ride outside. Blueprints were always the best to have when canvasing a building for his particular... talent, but sometimes renovations over time changed things and the original schematics were never updated. He needed to know where the support pillars were mostly.
Making his way down the sidewalk, he tensed up as he noticed a suspicious group a little further, talking loud and seeing frustrated of losing track of someone. Hoseok pulled his hood around his face more as the small gaggle of hooligans gave up their search and decided to continue elsewhere, passing him by with only a slight glance. They didn't seem very happy at all. What had this mystery person they were hunting do to piss them off so much? He knew he should stay out of it, especially since he had other business to attend to, but he couldn't shake the fact that someone innocent might be hurt out there and need help.
Sighing heavily, Hoseok trudged in the direction the thugs had come from and took a turn down one of the alleys. If he was trying to disappear, that would probably be one of the better places to hide. It didn't take him long at all to find another male propped up against the wall next to a trash can. "You look rough. They really did a number on you." He stated the obvious with a small frown as he crouched down to be on the other's level. He didn't really recognize him, but it was impossible for him to know everyone in the gang. Extending his hand, he tilted his head a little to invite the male to take it. "Come on. Let's get you out of here before those idiots wisen up and come back."
@Lee Hoseok❂(住吉会) a car sneered at speed limits on the thoroughfare upon the demanded request hyunjin received from a private number in hope to try out the new heroin with a self speedballing mixture of crack he went on selling around with limited price on the peak. only selected recommendations would permit the clients in contacting him for the ideas of pleasure dose. he had to park his black lotus evora a few meters away from the supposed meeting spot just behind a building that seemingly stood out more like a nightclub vibe with a line of closed restaurants in the afternoon. a glimpse of a waiting figure eagerly asks him for the delivery and hyunjin open his leather jacket sleeve to lend over the mini ordered packaging through a sneaky exchange, unknowingly calling out the attention of tattooed men that he assumed to be the street ruffians claiming certain areas belong to their secured parts. the said client frightened at the shocking sight and slip in the cash to hyunjin's pocket before sprinting away, not willing to get involved, still chased by their followers. one of them appear to arrogantly yelled at him as an attempt to sound intimidating.
the male in leathers heaves a deep sigh through his nostrils, hands clutching on each side of his hips. "none of your business. i only do this for a living. just collect your own s." he grew bored in his tone of responding to the outrageous horde, probably around twenty or more, or less, he could not count with just a short glance. before he could turn around and leave, a pair of hands stopping him to which his reflexive action twisting the hand around. despite his basic combat skills in taking down three buff men with all his mighty, however, he get outnumbered and crowded earning him a painful groans once he lost control of each thrown punches. a harsh kick on the back of his knee causing the young lad defeated to the ground, shielding himself with his arms and endure multiple batters.
tricking them over the sound of police sirens, hyunjin immediately struggles to break free from the grouping and forcibly leave everything behind with a limping leg. the whole chasing and running lead him the direction of familiar route, breathing heavily. he could not tolerate the physical pain with a sprained leg any longer, so he take a quicker pace to hide and plopping down on the alleyway walls next to a huge bin. sweats rolling down his neck, chest pumping hardly. his face scrunches while suppressing in the sound to attract the passer-by. "what a ing day." he cursed underneath.
@Jung Jaehyun☬(稲川会) Another month was over and mingis stash of weed was slowly coming to an end. It wasn’t that he was an addict... it was just that sometimes it was the only thing that helped him sleep at night and ever since he discovered that handling his nightmares got easier. So he texted his dealer and decided on when and where to meet. At six pm next to the convenience store near mingis place. That worked perfectly fine for him.
And he was surprised they were even able to meet the same day they texted.
Whatever.
The tall male prepared the money and got dressed once he had to go out.
He did arrive about five minutes earlier so he stood at the stores corner near an alleyway and pulled out his phone to play the latest mindless mobile game he had downloaded to keep himself occupied as he waited.
I'm sorry I'm not very active here at all
