hidden waterfall

hidden waterfall

A secluded pool, where water spills from the fall and is always clean and cold. Mer and nymphs can often be found here, and sometimes quiet animals steal from the forest to rest in peace here.

@✧ Celes Nathaniel listened to what she is saying and hummed lowly. "I see...I am sorry to hear that your master had chopped you down. I admit, it was lonely when I didn't hear your voice anymore." He said and is about to pat her head but then he got pulled into a hug, which immediately send icy coldness all over his body. He didn't mind the cold not at all but he doesn't like hugs that much. "Um.. hey.." he said and gently makes her released him before dusting the ice particles off of his clothes. "How about we go back to my house and chat shall we? And what name do you go by this time?"

@♆ Nathaniel Aidoneus She paused for a moment, confusion painted on her face. He was right. She wasn't a tree nymph, not anymore. How was she going to prove it was her? Was that even possible? "I used to live in the princess' garden, until I was chopped down and slowly withered away." Celes looked at him firmly, still holding onto his arm. "I died in this plane and went back to nature's cradle, from where my master pulled me out again into this form." She paused, realising he was still , and quickly released him, taking a step back. "I-I don't know what happened... I just know I used to live there and I used to talk to someone!" She tried to find a way to explain how she could be the tree nymph, how she could have had a past life and remember it, how she could be reborn as an elemental- but how could she know? She wasn't mother nature, she didn't even know how her master had created her. She just knew she had been created. He had been trying to birth an elemental for a long, long time and finally her spirit merged with the elements and she was born. At least that's how she imagined it. It probably sounded stupid and impossible to the other. No matter. This was him! She'd found him! Celes let out a delighted cheer and pulled him into a tight hug. "I never thought I'd see you in person! You're much taller than I thought you would be!" She giggled happily and continued to squish him, forgetting how cold she was and how her ice would immediately spread to him.

@✧ Celes The God of The Underworld took the clothes that the girl had returned to him swiftly but then he blinked as suddenly his arm is being grabbed. He looked over to the girl and raised a brow at what she said and indeed he does live in the old house where she had pointed. But then he frowned when she mentioned about him talking to a voice over the wall a few years back and had stopped ever since the voice had gone. "Yes..I live there and yes sometimes, I do talk to the voice behind the wall. Only because I recognize the voice to be a nymph. A tree nymph. But you are not a nymph now, are you?" He said, still with a frown on his face.

@♆ Nathaniel Aidoneus The moment she was released, she took out his clothes and held them out to him, eyes still firmly shut. Her heart was beating quickly. The more he spoke the more certain she became that it was him. It had to be. She heard him put on his clothes and after a moment opened her eyes. Celes swooped in and grabbed his arm. "You- you live at the house right?? On the other side of the wall! That- that house that's very old u-up there" Celes pointed in the direction she had come from. "Right? It's you, right??" Her eyes shone with anticipation. He had to be that voice, the only voice she had spoken to in her lonely life. It had been such a lonely life just waiting at her tree for someone to come by, or for the voice on the other side of the wall to return. They had spoken about everything and anything and after her tree had been cut down and she could not speak to the voice any longer... how painful that had been. To hear them call out and not be able to reply, to wither away while witnessing how they were steadily forgotten. Tears welled in her eyes. "I know it's you-", she sniffled.

@✧ Celes Nathaniel waited patiently until he noticed some of the shadows began to retreated. He turns around and his eyes pierced through the bushes and trees, observing a shadow in the shape of a bear holding a woman. He hummed lowly and growls inwardly at the sight of her unnatural bulge in her robes, which obviously contains his clothes. "Yes. My clothes." He said, ignoring her blushes and shy gaze. "Give it to me and I will spare you. You're lucky that I am at peace now after that swimming." He said and with one wave of his hand, the shadows dispersed and back to become the barrier that separates them with the outside world. "Hand them over now." He said sternly.

@♆ Nathaniel Aidoneus Celes' heart was racing. She wasn't usually the type to play pranks on people, but her visit to her past life had made her a bit upset and... she wanted to take it out on someone. A small seed of guilt nagged at her and she chewed nervously on the inside of her cheek. He was coming out. Should she just give it back now? No, it was too late. If she showed up with his clothes now he would think she was a creep. But was it better to leave him in the forest? Celes shook her head frantically. When she opened them again the shadows were moving. Her eyes widened in admiration. Wait- that voice. It sounded so familiar. Celes entered a daze as she scoured her memories for where she might have heard it. She had heard it a lot, but was it really them? Was that possible? Lost in thought, she didn't notice the shadows slithering closer until they had grabbed her and were pulling her out into the open. Celes let out a startled shriek and in her fright, the temperature around them abruptly plummeted. Celes was dragged in front of the man. She shrieked again at the sight and tried to cover her eyes, but her arms were being held by the shadows. She squeezed her eyes shut. As she blushed, the temperature warmed around them. Celes parted her lips to speak but she didn't know what words to find. Was it really them? Oh my god he was ! "You- you're clothes-" There was an obvious unnatural bulge in the front of her robes where she had stuffed his clothes. She wondered if he would recognise her voice. Just as her spirit hadn't changed, her voice also had not.

@✧ Celes Whenever swimming, Nathaniel would somehow take some time to just stay underwater for almost half an hour to meditate a bit. This habit of his had started after his wife left him as his bad temper actually made her left him in the first place. After his time is up, he swam back up to the surface and gasp for air, pushing his long hair to the back and wipes the remnants of water from his face. He then made his way back to the spot where he had placed his clothes and to his shocking, that place is now empty. Even his walking stick is gone.

The God of The Underworld frowned and looks around the place to find it. He growled lowly when he sensed how quiet the forest is and a sudden chill could be felt around the rock. He raised his hand and twist his wrist a little, commanding the clouded shadows to turn into animalistic figures. "Find the thief and bring them to me." He commanded and the shadows begin scouring the area to search for the culprit as Nathaniel stayed on the rock, waiting.

@♆ Nathaniel Aidoneus A long, long time ago Celes lived another life. The memories are faint and fading still with each passing day. She remembers a tree, her tree, and countless lonely days. The only exciting part of that life were the instances in which she could speak to the voice on the other side of the wall. It was a giant wall, taller than even her tree and she knew she would never see the other side of it. Not without leaving her tree, and the thought never crossed her mind. Even when the owner of the land came and chopped her down she didn't live. Maybe she could have survived if she had wandered off, maybe not. Who knows. She withered away until her weakness consumed her and her spirit wandered back to the cradle of mother earth. Many, many years later something had prodded her resting spirit, pulling it away from the cradle. She lingered in an unknown space until the force that pulled at her grew strong enough to pull her into a new existence. Celes knew she had lived another life before her master had made her, but she didn't remember much of it. Bits and pieces here and there popped up at random times. Today, for the first time, she decided to try and find where she had lived in the past. She lied to her master and wandered into the forest, hopping carefully here and there. She didn't hop and skip because she was in such a good mood, she did it so she didn't touch the ground for too long. Celes hadn't quite figured out how to control her powers, so wherever she stood ice spread.

It was very hard to find her tree because in her life she had never left it, but eventually, she stood where she knew she had stood before. She didn't recognise anything, except for the remnants of a wall. It wasn't tall anymore and if Celes walked as humans did, she could have easily stepped over it. She stayed there for a while, staring at the house that was on the other side of the crumbled wall. That house looked like time had not touched it and she stared for a while before moving on. She followed a path down to a waterfall. A person was swimming in it, his clothes set aside on a rock. "..." Should she take them? Should she freeze the lake? No. If she froze the lake, the person might get hurt. She would just take the clothes, and so she did, sneaking up to the rock on which they lay and hurriedly tucking them into her robes. Celes hid behind another large rock and watched the person, waiting.

Walking up the mountains and descended down along the secret path that almost seemed impossible to anyone who are not familiar in the forest, Nathaniel finally came down to the hidden waterfall. Despite being the God of the Underworld, he actually love taking some dips into serene waters by himself. The chaotic realm that he owns really made him in need of some peace. He places his walking stick down and clouded some shadows along the edges surrounding the spot to make sure no one could disturb him. Of course, anything could pass the shadows if they are brave enough to do it.

After making sure of that, he takes his attire off piece by piece and untie his hair. Gathering his clothes onto a rock nearby, Nathaniel then walks into the waters and swims around in just his swimming trunks.
✠ Reya 3 years ago
@✧ Dread Wolf “My, why might a place like this be so far from the city?” Upon freeing herself from the clingy thicket, Reya found herself in the midst of a beautiful paradise, complete with vibrant greenery and a refreshing spritz from a waterfall. She stepped closer to the riverbank to observe how the fish lingered. Perhaps a book she’d read some time ago mentioned how salmon swim upstream to mate, or was it some other kind of fish? The ones in the water fled when the curious ghost crouched too closely. Her previous observations recalled how wild animals tend to escape signs of dangers such as other animals or humans, but she wondered if that also included a supernatural category.

A nearby rustling caught her attention and she looked back to the forest that she’d emerged from. Could it be a bear? It’d have no luck finding salmon in these waters. But she remembered that nature was also home to many other creatures, surely to ones who did not live in the city. The image of Reya, a petite woman with an ivory cloak and night-like hair, became colorful like her surroundings as she faded into transparency. Only the river captured a blurred picture of her still huddled, waiting for the other visitor’s arrival.
