swimming pool

@† park seonghwa Hyunwoo had not been versed on the vampire's ability to see through his rouse, simply assuming he had either hidden his internal anxiety well or simply that seonghwa did not care enough to ask. Either way he was content with the results. He listened to the response to his inquiry, quietly following behind the tall male and watching him lock the door once they exited. Hyunwoo considered his answer, nodding in understanding without offering a follow-up. Maybe he'd never know. Did vampires have to breathe? Could they drown, realistically? probably not. Despite the array of new questions, the human knew it would not be becoming to simply spew one after the other given he doubted Seonghwa could answer them all with much certainty.
When faced once more, Hyunwoo looked up and shook his head slowly when asked about his ability to swim. He was a bit bashful, assuming it was a common skill that most humans knew how to do. "I never learned." He admitted, leaning to look around Seonghwa towards the pool. "It makes me nervous. Isn't it hard?" He wandered aloud, he eyed the blue water as it rippled in the light breeze. He couldn't begin to fathom how one would move their body to prevent themselves from sinking. Did kicking not get exhausting? What made someone float? He never got close enough to be in a position to have to learn, nor had he ever gotten near a body of water enough to risk falling in and finding out. Not until he'd begun accompanying Seonghwa on his tasks.

@☩ nil Seonghwa could tell that the experience was highly unpleasant for the human and frowned at the way Hyunwoo's nerves and anxiety shot up for a few moments. The myriad of emotions within the span of a few moments shocked Seonghwa a bit, but he didn't outwardly show it. He simply waited patiently until the human calmed down enough and when he asked a different question, he decided to drop the topic as well. He did carefully put the thoughts about the guard in the back of his mind for later though.
"Hmm, I suppose? I'm not sure honestly. I don't think I really want to try it either," he chuckled. He placed all of the equipment back where they belonged, including the bottle Hyunwoo had been holding onto. They left the room, Seonghwa locking it behind him before he turned to Hyunwoo once more. "Do you know how to swim?" he asked curiously. The vampire felt as though it was not the most common skill among people, so whether the human knew how to swim or not, he wouldn't be surprised by either answer.

@† park seonghwa It wasn't so much that Hyunwoo was bothered by such an encounter but rather it was something he did not want to stir so much trouble for. He had been grabbed by the jaw, accused of resembling someone and then from there Hyunwoo began to instigate, pushing his luuck with the vampire and generally putting himself into a bit of danger. He did not wish to be ridiculed by Seonghwa for being a fool and so he let it go. He was grateful for the sentiment, but walking into the maintenance room and staring at the vampire's handsome smirk, he shook his head.
"Neither." He said, attempting his own take at a lighthearted laugh. He placed the bottle he held down on the rack and cleared his throat. "Truthfully,he made me nervous but i didn't want him to know that..." he said with unease. He didn't wish to instigate him further. While it had been interesting in the moment, in hindsight it was dangerous. He could only express this to Seonghwa however, knowing of his own tendency to put up a front and dig himself a hole any time he was faced with such confrontation. He recalled the gaze of disgust on his frame, the comment on his scent. the guard had made him angry, but had triggered his fight or flight to the point of fight. He simply pretended to be unbothered.
"If you drowned, would you just sink?" He questioned rather abruptly, as a way of quenching his curiosity but also to distract the other from the subject.

@☩ nil Seonghwa didn't want to bring back the memory of the encounter for Hyunwoo, but knowing that one of the humans had been harassed by their own staff was simply unacceptable to Seonghwa. He didn't know if he could actually do anything about it, but he would if he could.
He frowned some more as he heard about what happened and shook his head slightly. "That will not do. How dare he do such unwarranted things. Reprimanded for what? Enjoying the rooftop? I think not. I can't promise that I can do anything... but if there are rats and birds chasing him for a couple of weeks, then," he shrugged slightly and turned around to unlock the maintenance room, stepping inside and keeping the door open for Hyunwoo to follow him in. "Or do you think he would be more afraid of a snake?" he asked curiously, smirking slightly in a playful manner which was quite a rare sight.

@† park seonghwa Hyunwoo had conjured the imagery of such a scene, Seonghwa flailing and calling out. Were there vampires who did not know? If they did sink, would they simply exist at the bottom of whatever body of water? Could he simply walk? The boy had been overcome by so many irrelevant questions that he had not realized the had stopped moving, nearly bumping into him. He staggered for a moment, the vampire's tone catching him off guard. He attempted to read his eyes, his own brow furrowing slightly as he opened his mouth to speak but hesitated. Was he upset? or simply curious. He hadn't expected him to stop walking so suddenly.
"Uh- nothing. I was just sitting up on the roof..." He began, taking a small step back to regain the respectful foot of distance between the two. He did not elaborate, unsure if he should divulge. After all, he had been grabbed roughly, scrutinized with disgust and in the end instigated the interaction simply out of spite. What would Seonghwa say? the human was equally to blame for the harassment, at least that's what he believed. Perhaps not at first, but he did not behave very becoming when met with the guards harsh treatment. He hesitated before shaking his head and feigning a sweet smile in an attempt to appear unbothered. "I'm alright, I wasn't hurt. I just got reprimanded.." He dismissed his own statement, unaware of Seonghwa's ability to see through said dismissal.

@☩ nil Seonghwa hummed softly and nodded as he continued along, "I do like to swim, and I tend to go alone. Not that I could truly drown to death, but it would be highly inconvenient for any passersby to find a flailing vampire in the water," he chuckled. He turned around when he felt a tap on his shoulder, looking down at what was in his hands. He passed over the bottle to Hyunwoo and said in a teasing tone, "As long as you don't open it," he hummed. After all, touching or inhaling the scent of the chemicals was not good in big doses.
He paused in his steps as the human mentioned what had happened to him that day. Turning around with a frown, Seonghwa stopped Hyunwoo from walking any further. "What did they do?" he asked. Seonghwa sometimes hated vampires more than humans. So many thought of humans as inferior and treated them with such little respect. Did they not know that if there were no humans, most of them would not survive?

@† park seonghwa Hyunwoo absently watched Seonghwa's hands in motion, pushing his own into his pockets and nodded in contemplation. Made sense. hyunwoo eyed the water apprehensively, never stepping too close to the edge. His family had never bothered teaching him, and in his short life he'd never found himself with the same sentiment. He had never lived close to the water. He found himself wondering the context of Seonghwa's answer.
"Inconvenient." He agreed with a curt nod, looking up at the vampires face while he considered the question. "Kind of. It's boring today." He confessed, shrugging his shoulders and dutifully following the other with every step much like a stray might. He boldly tapped on the others shoulder when he turned away from him, directly pointing at the items now in the other's hands with a trembling finger before taking a bottle of pool shock chemicals. He did this quite often, wordlessly helping the other without question nor debate. This was their dynamic lately and Hyunwoo felt at ease that Seonghwa never asked many questions. It was he cordial disinterest that eased Hyunwoo's typical anxiety. He never questioned his tremor, nor his inital scrutiny upon meeting one another. Even if he took note he didn't pry. It was refreshing.
"Its okay. I had a guard harass me earlier..." He answered with a soft sigh, turning the bottle over in his hands.

@☩ nil Seonghwa continued to check the lane ropes to make sure they were still intact, which didn't take too long thanks to his keen eye and speed. He hummed softly and glanced back at Hyunwoo to at least acknowledge the human's presence physically before he began releasing a couple of the lane ropes back into the water. "Yes, I can. I've spent too much of my time by the water. It would be inconvenient if I can't swim," he laughed softly. He turned to the human properly then and tilted his head curiously. "Are you exploring more of the grounds?" he asked back curiously.
He was glad to know that the human wasn't in a bad mood at all. He seemed calm and relatively at ease. He probably had been having a good day so far. He began moving along the edge of the pool, picking up any of the equipment he had been using to store it away in the maintenance room at the other side. He knew that Hyunwoo would follow him, so he didn't bother looking back. "Have you had a good day so far?" he asked aloud, wanting to know for sure.

@† park seonghwa Hyunwoo had spent the entirety of his time at the facility roaming the grounds and embracing the new normalcy of his position there. The rooftop, garden, and cafeteria his recent favorites. Having grown up both isolated and weary of others he'd always found it difficult to acquaint himself with those around him without being over critical of their positions and intentions. He had only recently acquired a handful of familiar faces and of those, only half were those he felt secure in his trust.
Recently he had befriended, in strange circumstances, his first vampire. A stoic, soft spoken but wholesome male who proved his disinterest in the sinister nature of some of those Hyunwoo had encountered. Because of this, Hyunwoo found his interest piqued and attention drawn anytime he spotted him wandering the grounds. It was fairly common to run into him as he was in charge of ensuring it's smooth maintenance, this was why the two had found themselves in the occasional interchange The human had noted some of his schedule and so when he spotted Seonghwa strolling alone the pool's edge when he suspected he would be, he wordlessly sauntered toward his direction. It was no secret that the vampire would sense his presence early despite not a glance being spared in his direction and this is why Hyunwoo moved to stand just behind Seonghwa, watching his movements and observing him in respectful quiet. He would not intrude on his tasks but rather he chose to accompany him. A habit he had developed over time due to his enjoyment of his company. After a few moments of silence, he chimed, "Can you swim?" His tone was even, gaze neutral. The sudden appearance and question would have startled any human.

@☩ nil Seonghwa loved the water and sometimes the pool at the facility was the closest thing he would get depending on how busy his job kept him. Hence why he loved to make sure that the pool was in great condition whenever he could. He was doing as such even now, checking the ph levels, the clarity of the water and the pool itself, and made sure the machines were all running smoothly.

Even over the noise of the pool maintenance pumps and filters, Seonghwa heard the heartbeat and the footsteps before smelling the familiar smell of a certain donor from the facility. He didn't have to look up from where he was checking the lane ropes to know that Hyunwoo was nearby, probably headed right his way too. The vampire couldn't help but chuckle to himself for a moment as he moved onto the next lane rope to make sure it was in good condition.

Can I ask two questions?
I was thinking about requesting San and I don't see him on the masterlist so could I, please, request him?
And if I make him a financial donor to the blood farm, are there any specific things he had to do or are there any requirements for financial donors in the world? I'm sorry if it seems like a stupid question. I just want to be sure. ><
