@☩ sakamoto mashiro "Only if you want to," he said in response to her offer. "Something small would work." Dohyun glanced at his desk, thinking for a moment. He wasn't the type to wear anything like a sweater, preferring suit jackets instead; he also wouldn't find much use for a lot of the things that could be made out of yarn. He tapped his finger against his knee and spotted an empty mug off to the side of the desk. "A coaster?" he asked. It was utilitarian enough that Dohyun could see himself using one. He would rather keep rings off his desk when possible. When he wasn't feeding directly from anyone, he oftentimes would deposit the blood from an indirect feeding into a cup, drinking over time while completing his work. He's already had to clean more than one blood stain from the wood. "Though, again, only if you want to."

Dohyun turned his attention back to Mashiro and nodded. "Sure. I'm not very knowledgeable about knitting. You'll have to explain to me how the different stitches work." Dohyun adjusted his seating on the couch, slipping into a position where he could face Mashiro and her work without being uncomfortable. His lips quirked in the imitation of a smile. "I don't know either. We might have to find you a book about it."

@† lim donghyun at dohyun's approval of the yarn she had chosen, mashiro's face lit up. it was always nice to get his recognition and approval, after all he was a very important person and a person mashiro had the utmost respect for not only as a person of power here at the farm, but also as a friend that has seen her through some of her worst days. even just the little things like this could place a bright smile on her face. "i'm glad you like it, would you like me to make you something with this yarn too? maybe something small?"

nodding, what dohyun suggested made sense. "you're right, i'll keep on working on it. after all, i'm sure when the colder months hit, i'll probably end up adding sleeves to it anyways if i kept it a vest!" nodding determinedly at herself. holding out the needles, she put out a suggestion to the older man "shall i show you the stitching im using for this one? i'm mixing purled and normal stitches to make this sweater. i wanted to try and change it up? it's called the herringbone lace rib stitch... i have no idea why it's called that though."

@☩ sakamoto mashiro Mashiro's excitement was always nice to see. It amused Dohyun, though in a good way - not a condescending one like some other vampires. (Other vampires that he knew would only appreciate the happiness on her face so they could crush it moments later.) It was safe to say that his relationship with Mashiro was about the closest that Dohyun could get to having something of a positive bond. He was protective of her, though he knew she was more than capable of caring for herself. He also liked to see her happy rather than sad. Honestly, anything, positive or even slightly negative, was a vast improvement compared to how she once was after the incident that predated their strange connection. Listless, quiet, practically catatonic. It's been a long time since then.

"That's a good idea," he said. As a vampire Dohyun didn't really feel the cold, at least not in the way that human's did. He was aware that the facility could be quite chilly for someone warm-blooded during the winter time. Dohyun brushed his fingertips over the yarn being proferred to him in Mashiro's hands. "They are soft," He smiled and brought his hand back to his lap. "I'm sure it will be quite comfortable once you finish it. If it's to keep you warm I suggest adding the sleeves. A vest would defeat the whole purpose, would it not?"

@† lim donghyun seeing dohyun take an interest in the lavenders she had brought made a gentle expression emerge onto her face. being able to try and take dohyun's mind off of the stress and worries that the day (and night) would bring to him. watching him carefully as she slid the new flowers into the cup. "you're welcome, i always worry that your office doesn't have enough color. plus, the new blooms are so beautiful and i know you don't get the chance to go out often. i wanted you to be able to experience them before they fade." mashiro replied, fixing the blossoms so that they were positioned nicely in the vase.

noting that the water level was a bit low, she scurried over to her bag quickly to grab a water bottle to refresh the water, doing so with a small smile on her face, thinking how the extra water would help the lavenders shelf life last a little longer. settling on the couch, she smiled brightly when dohyun looked like he was going to take a break. "of course not, come sit!" she happily exclaimed. when dohyun took note of her knitting project, she shook her head as she brought them out to let dohyun see a bit closer. "not yet, i'm almost done though! it's going to be a cardigan! i was thinking that i could use another one for the colder months."

showing him the sleeves and the yarns - one pink ball and one white ball - she was using eagerly, she held it out for him to touch. "it's striped with these two yarns, i just have the sleeves really to work on now. it could be a fun vest if decided to stop actually..."

@☩ sakamoto mashiro "That's good," Dohyun said, the barest of smiles making itself visible on his lips. "I'm glad." He watch Mashiro approach his desk with the flowers, glancing between the empty vase currently sitting to his right and to the new blooms in her hand. The vampire plucked one of the lavenders from the bunch and twirled it gently between his fingers. It was a nice scent, clean and refreshing, not sterile or tinted with blood like most of the facility was. To other vampires they probably didn't mind the intermingling scents of blood, but to Dohyun it had always seemed like a bother. Always a slight distraction to a creature that needed to feed on it to survive. So he appreciated the flowers from Mashiro twicefold, their smell strong enough to overpower anything that might linger in his office, unless it was something freshly spilt.

He nodded and said, "Go ahead. Thank you, Mashiro. These are very nice." Dohyun gently placed the lavender down onto the desk and reached up to rub the skin between his eyebrows. He could feel the slight beginnings of a headache, though whether its cause was him overworking himself or something else, he wasn't sure yet. The vampire stood and walked around his desk. "I think I will sit for a little while, if you don't mind." He sat down again, this time on the couch instead of at his desk. He spied the other items that Mashiro had brought with her on the table. "You had been working on something last time," he remembered, nodding towards the knitting utensils. "Did you finish it?"

@† lim donghyun pleased with his nod, she settled down on the couch to pull out the knitting from her bag and then also a few fresh flowers that she found from the garden along with a water bottle. scouting around the office for an available vase to place the flowers on. spotting one on his desk that she remembered she had put the last batch of flowers in. she remembered them fondly, a bunch of fragrant gardenias that she had brought specifically not only to brighten the room in color, but also bring a sweet scent to the room.

approaching the desk, she smiled and nodded with flowers and water in hand. "it's been good, but of course it's much better now that i've visited you!" holding out the flowers towards dohyun, she grinned as she started to talk about them, "i brought you more flowers again. these ones are lavenders. pretty and purple, with a lovely scent. it must be stressful working so hard, so i chose lavender because of its calming scent. it reduces anxiety and i think they're pretty cute to look at too!" pointing over to the small cup, she asked "may i put them in there for you?"

mashiro could see in dohyun's eyes that he was exhausted, despite the fact she wasn't sure he could recognize the fact himself. he was always a hard working individual for the entire time she's known him and someone incredibly reliable to her. however, she also recognized that came with a huge amount of responsibility. she had a few ways she could offer him some sort of respite, but it really depended on what he was up for. "do you want to sit with me for a little?"

@✠ jeon wonwoo There was a moving shadow visible beneath the closed door to Dohyun's office. This normally wouldn't be out of the ordinary. With the vampire's position as Head of Operations many people would come to his office to deliver reports, ask questions and do business. However, this time Dohyun was not sitting at his desk, and the shadow of a visitor was not positioned outside his door. Instead it came from within the closed - and supposed to be locked - room. An intruder.

Dohyun wouldn't be so rash to declare them so if he didn't already know that it wasn't one of his colleagues. Once he'd noticed the shadow he'd noticed the other peculiarities. Most prominently, the distinct scent of a human occupant in the room, rather than a fellow vampire, and that was all the notification he needed that this person was indeed an intruder.

He heard a noise from within the room, like something had fallen or been knocked into, and Dohyun decided not to waste one more second outside in the hall. The door creaked as he opened it and let himself inside, only to be met with the sight of his things in disarray. Documents scattered on the desk, drawers that hung open from being rifled through - and in the midst of it all, the human intruder near the large window just across from him.

With inhuman speed Dohyun crossed the room and gripped the human by his wrist just as he was about to go through one of Dohyun's important file cases. "Just what," he asked, tugging the human's arm up and keeping his grip firm on the man's wrist firmly, almost bruising. "Do you think you're doing here?"

@☩ sakamoto mashiro If there was one misconception most humans had about vampires, and even some vampires had about Dohyun himself, was that they were never stressed. Sure, Dohyun was stoic and cold on the surface, and was easily the same way internally - but there were also times that the pressure of maintaining an entire facility such as the Blood Farm wighed more heavily on his shoulders than other times. Most people behind the scenes didn't see just how much effort he put into his work, and it was only because of that effort than things ran relatively smoothly throughout the whole operation. Dohyun had gotten so used to the monotony of his work that it wasn't until recently he'd actually taken the time to give himself a break. And because of a human girl, no less.

He wasn't exactly expecting Mashiro today; her visits were always random, more frequent than not, but usually never announced unless planned in advance. But it also wasn't a surprise to see her walk through his door, carrying with her today's choice of craft. While he had still been caught up in the documents he was revising Dohyun had nodded his acknowledgement of her presence. To others it would seem almost callous, his weak reaction to her cheerful greeting, but most people failed to realize that even giving her a sliver of his attention was more than he would do for anyone else.

Eventually, as the numbers and words began to swim in his head, blurring at the edges until he couldn't think about them without getting frustrated, Dohyun put the papers down and finally looked up at Mashiro. "You could say that," he said. There was fatigue in his bones and the slightest lack of focus in his gaze, not enough to be alarming in any way, but enough to showcase that, indeed, Dohyun had been at work for far too long. "Has your day been well?" he asked, figuring a change in pace in the form of conversation might help alleviate some of the tension in him. Just a quick one, he told himself, and then back to work.

@† lim donghyun with a small bag equipped with yarn and knitting needles and a wide smile on her face, mashiro knocked on the door of the head of operation's office with ease and lack of nervousness that the vast majority living in the facility had. the thing is, mashiro has visited this office and dohyun many times before. it was almost an open secret that mashiro was allowed to come and go as she pleased. and come and go as she pleased did she ever. mashiro was always working on various things quietly alongside him as he worked on paperwork and running the facility. there was always speculation about how mashiro waltzed in and out, however mashiro never paid it any mind and was happy to always visit the older.

entering after waiting a few seconds, she greeted dohyun with a bright smile and a wave. "hi, i'm back again!" mashiro grinned and slid to the couch and the coffee table in front of it to place her things down. peering at him carefully, it was obvious to her that he was once again working too hard. it was to be expected though. he has always taken his work seriously and as much as mashiro appreciated it, it was also important to her that he found the time to relax.
