@ten lee although the hope was probably meaningless, yuta made no effort in letting the guy know. he removed his fingers from the paper so he could lean his head on the palm of his hand and look back and forth between the paper and ten. he hummed, agreeing, despite not sure what he was agreeing to. “sure, sounds great,” was all he gave, before locking eyes with the black haired male. at the question he could feel a wave of said feeling wash over him, but he kept his answer simple, “I am.”
@nakamoto yuta Even though Yuta's response wasn't so promising, Ten was still proud. He felt like a parent who's kid finally learned to do their homework on their own. "It's not bad," Ten said, more willing to jump into action now that Yuta had give him some semblance of hope. "I would suggest this topic: 'the history of Venetian carnival masks'. It's broad enough that you can focus on any aspect you want, and there's a lot of research done on it before that you can reference. What do you think?" Looking over at the younger, Yuta looked tired, Ten thought. "Are you still working at the hotel?"
@ten lee the shove caught yuta off guard, but it definitely did not take away from his laughter. he adjusted himself on his seat again before turning the book back on its cover. "now don't get too excited," he warned, indifferent to the ruffle of his hair. he scooted his chair closer to the other and rested his elbow onto the table, pointing toward the paper in front of ten. "so what do you think? the teach made it sound fairly easy."
@nakamoto yuta Ten didn't even realize how high-strung he was being until Yuta knocked into him again. He swatted at Yuta's arm, huffing before giving him another shove, light enough to keep Yuta in his chair but hard enough to at least move him a little. Still, the corners of his lips lifted slightly. How could he stay mad at Yuta? The younger even brought his own material, ready to contribute. The little action touched Ten, even if it meant he was going to be doing a majority of Yuta's project. Easily pleased, Ten reached out to give the top of Yuta's head a rub, like he was praising his cat. "Look at you. Soon, you'll be doing your homework all on your own!"
@ten lee the nativity of the guy was something that'd get to him every time - just like his sarcasm got ten every single time. "I'm kidding - i brought this book because it had a few examples of paintings we might need for the research." giving the other a gentle elbow in his ribs, yuta let out a chuckle in the hopes of it being contagious. and despite his negative answer, the guy kept the smile a lighthearted smile on his lips. "no, not yet. that's why i brought my ipad."
@nakamoto yuta Ten's idea of relaxing was lying in a heap in bed with his cats, and it was certainly not reading the enormous textbook Yuta had conjured from seemingly out of nowhere. Still, art history was once Ten's forte almost a decade ago, so he pulled the papers toward him to take a look. It was an assignment for Yuta's elective class, involving a bit of research and some writing. Ten skimmed through the topics quietly before eyeing the due date at the top of the paper — in a week! How last minute was this guy? Did he think Ten just regurgitated papers out on command? "Yuta," he began, his heart already clenching painfully in his chest at the thought of having to voice his opinion. "I- I- Have you done any preliminary research on this yet?"
@ten lee "yep?" yuta repeated the guy, a twitch on the corner of his lips spoiling his joke. despite being a sarcasm madman, the poor guy's answer left him guessing more than he had the other probably. either way, he was not going to force ten to stay up all night - because he'd probably be stepping on karma's doorstep if he did. "some literature and art history." turning the book he was holding upside down onto the table, he started splitting the stack of papers and moved the top half toward the black haired male. "let's start with history - after that, maybe relax a little by reading this book?" yuta rested his hand on top of the thick book he had been holding seconds ago.
@nakamoto yuta Was Yuta joking? Ten wasn't sure he could tell anymore. Between his own work, his schoolwork, and /Yuta's/ schoolwork, Ten barely had time to sleep. Looking at the stack of papers in front of Yuta, though, he could tell he was pulling that all nighter whether he wanted to or not. "Yep," he said, despite very much wanting to tell Yuta that he couldn't do this anymore. At least, not /this/ much. But looking at Yuta's smiling face, what else could Ten do but keep doing whatever he's been doing all this time? "What've got for me today?"
@ten lee being in a foreign country with no family sure could complicate things a bit - especially when in the midst of studies. however, he had chosen to provide for himself the day he moved out, as that was the agreement they made. but with his goofy personality and charming smile, he wasn't doomed to live in misery. a full-time job and an innocent soul who completed his homework sure made it all a little easier to come along. "hey bro," he greeted ten with a nudge to his bicep, his thumb between two pages of a closed book. "how're you? slept enough to pull an all-nighter?"
@nakamoto yuta Perhaps too late (though always better late than never), Ten was beginning to think that Nakamoto Yuta was playing him for a fool. It just dawned on him as he walked up to the library for the nth time this year to meet up with Yuta and collect the younger student's homework for the week that Ten was getting absolutely nothing out of this. At first, he agreed because Yuta was being so sweet, somehow managing to hit Ten right in his soft spot for everyone, and Ten thought he was doing a favour and helping Yuta along his journey through his Bachelor degree. After all, Ten had once been in that position. But now, Ten had a sneaking suspicion he was being taken advantage of. He had come to the library today with a resolve to draw some more obvious boundaries for Yuta, but at the same time, he'd never been a confrontational person. Slinking up to the table Yuta usually waited for him at, all of Ten's resolve broke down with each step he took, and by the time he was sinking into the chair beside the younger man, all he could do was smile weakly. "Hi..."
@yang jeongin his own heart was practically itching to leap out of his chest, his appreciation and admiration for the younger reaching an all new high. honestly, jeongin could've saved his money and just met up with him today, and he'd still be just as happy. "thank you so much, jeongin. you have no idea how much this means to me," he spoke his thanks again into the other's hair, swaying them from side to side. minho quietly enjoyed their hug, giving a gentle squeeze just like he had earlier, trying to find more words to let jeongin know just how much he loved what he got him. "mm, i'm all ready to go." minho finally pulled himself back, face still brightened and smile still wide, putting both items in one hand, to make room for the other holding jeongin's. "ready?"
@lee minho "maybe you would've been satisfied, but i wouldn't have been," jeongin said firmly. seeing minho's reaction when he opened the bag to see the pudding, the way his eyes lit up like stars, gave jeongin further conviction that the flowers would not have been enough. "if i could, i would have repaid your gift tenfold—" jeongin began to say before he was pulled into another hug, arms wrapping around minho's torso automatically. yes, the pudding was a great choice, jeongin thought as he smiled into minho's shoulder. "it's the least i could do for you," he murmured, because he always wished he could give more, because minho deserved it. he lingered in the embrace for a while longer than the earlier hug, before his rational brain betrayed his irrational heart. "shall we head to the cafe now?" jeongin asked, while his arms were still around minho.
@yang jeongin "you did tell me," he repeated warmly, own eyes shining with so much affection, he was worried they would probably spill over. he's never had somebody do something like this before, and he'd be lying if he said that he wasn't currently overjoyed. to have somebody have the kindness to do all this for him was unbelievable. he clutched the flowers closer to his chest, curious to know what else jeongin could have got for him. "i would've been satisfied with just the flowers, you know," he teased, taking the bag and opening it in the slightest, gasping immediately just from seeing the box. all it took was one glance for him to see that it was his favorite brand of pudding, one that he barely ever had the chance to grab at the grocery store. "jeongin, holy... thank you so much!" without a second thought, minho shortened the distance between them again, pulling the younger in for another hug.
@lee minho all jeongin could focus on at that moment was minho's face, holding his breath as he held the flowers. he tried to read minho's expression, which he could only make out to be confusion. did minho not like the surprise? jeongin's confidence wavered for a moment, only to be revived by the prettiest smile on minho's face, blooming more prettily than any flower could. jeongin felt something bloom in his chest as well, and he could only smile at the feeling. "well, i did tell you i would make up for not getting a valentine's present," he said, hands returning to his side now that the bouquet had successfully left them. "if you had gotten anything, i'd have to get you something next month, again. anyway, that's not all!" now that half the battle was won, jeongin excitedly presented the whole paper bag to minho, free of the nerves he had. "here's the second part. i know we're already going to eat some later, but instead of chocolate," jeongin said, beaming with pride, "i got you boxes of pudding."
@yang jeongin minho released him, ready to open his mouth to ask if he was ready to leave, but the look on jeongin's face left him blinking in confusion. why did he look so... nervous? had something happened? "what's wro—," he began to say, only to trail off at the sight of the flowers in front of him. it took a few seconds for the words to settle in his brain; white day. had it really been exactly a month? no, right? "jesus," minho breathed, smile that had dropped out of worry returning, and gently taking the bouquet into his own hands. "thank you, jeongin. these are beautiful." he couldn't help the warmth that colored his face, as if a child had messily drew on him with a crayon. it didn't help that he practically had to chew on his bottom lip to stop his beam from growing bigger. "even though these aren't the exact rules, if i would've remembered i would've brought you something else to celebrate."
@lee minho jeongin spotted minho from a distance, eyes lighting up in an instant and free hand flying to wave the other over. his grip on the paper bag tightened as he realised that the moment he had been waiting for was soon approaching. "no, i just reached," jeongin replied when minho was in front of him. he soon found himself in minho's warm embrace and he gave the other a light squeeze, a wordless 'ditto'. slowly pulling away from the hug, jeongin looked at his bag for a moment. he had been so proud of himself for planning this, but now the nerves were kicking in. he reached inside his bag, before pulling out a small bouquet of baby's breath and gerbera. he extended it to minho, giving the other a small smile. "happy white day, minho."
@yang jeongin minho was extremely grateful that today he only had one class and even then, it wasn't much of a class. they spent the time quietly, looking over notes to prepare for an exam they all had later this week. he couldn't focus much, the excitement of seeing jeongin being almost too much for him to handle. while it wasn't uncommon for them to hangout, he wondered what made jeongin initiate today's meeting. minho seen the younger's figure in the distance, fond smile growing wider the closer he became. "hey, were you waiting long?" minho asked, taking out his airpods to put back in his case and shoving them inside his pocket. his arms widened in the slightest, pulling jeongin into them for a hug. "it's good to see you today."
@lee minho jeongin came to a halt outside the library building, double tapping his phone screen, before letting out a sigh of relief. the trip to the other side of town after his class had taken longer than expected, but he had still made it on time to meet minho. his fingers fiddling with the handle of the paper bag he was holding, jeongin took a deep breath to stabilise his heart rate after the brisk walk from the bus stop, but it just seemed to speed up as he waited. maybe it was because of the bag in his hand, or maybe it was the mere thought of meeting minho, but he just couldn't wait to see minho that day.
@lalisa manoban "Oh? I am?" Though he knew she was only teasing, it practically being written all over face, he still played along, pulling his phone from his pocket to check the time. "Damn, you're right. The time must've just gotten away from me." Chris pretended to heave out a heavy sigh, chocolate orbs shining with wonder at what she could possibly come up with next. It was only their first meeting, and she already had a way of keeping things interesting. His question was quickly answered, and even he couldn't stop the grin that had victoriously fought its way to his lips. Who would he be to deny her, or her fee?
", I guess I gotta pay up, right? I'd be setting a bad example for these other students if I didn't," he murmured, the tips of his fingers having already danced on her neck, eventually grasping the back of it to pull her in closer. For a kiss on the cheek, he knew the way he was holding her was rather intimate. But did he care? No. He more so was interested in seeing how she would react to it, though. Chris's lips pressed against her cheek, allowing the warmth to spread, but only for a few seconds. It was a fleeting one, but still a kiss on the cheek nonetheless. Once he removed them, the same playful grin that he had to begin with was still very much visible. "Better? Or do you need another one?"
@kim sunwoo “well, thank you, sunwoo! you’re very sweet!” she replied and smiled at the other as she watched him. “mm, but you appear quite smart!” she added and giggled, trying to be quiet aa they are still in the library. she tilted her head as she heard him and she bit her lower lip. “awe! are you sleepy? having issues sleeping at night like insomnia?”
she questioned him and she lifted a hand up to gently pat his head.
@shin yuna /before she could says another protest, the books are now out of her hold and just pouted at the sudden loss/
...fine. But next time, please don't do anything like that.
I'm not used to it.
/bows her head when a senior passes by then look back at you/
come on then, lets go. I still have a lot of homework to do after dinner
@han jisung It should've been expected that Jisung of all people would pull some , but for some strange reason, his guard was down today. ing mistake. "Jesus—," Minho nearly yelled, shoulders bunching up and leaning forward into the table, having almost chucked his phone. "I hate you, you're always doing some stupid ." Despite his words, there was no real bite to them, a grin beginning to spread across his face once he turned around to properly look at the guy.
"Not funny," his hand raised, gently smacking the other's arm with the back of it.
@lee minho Jisung's mondays weren't particularly hefty in schedule on a usual day but he'd somehow managed to schedule all of the appointments he had on this same exact date, some of them being last minute and totally not his fault. He made do with the little time he had to get around from place to place after his morning classes but by the time he'd took a moment to stop and tend to himself, it was well into the afternoon and he was at a loss for what to eat, not having the appetite for much. When he agreed to meet his favorite senior to drive crazy, he'd been all out of ideas with plenty of time on his hands now.
He climbed the steps of the library and entered the largest set of doors before he shot his text that he'd arrived, heading toward the center of the first floor to see if he'd catch the older at a table before he noticed and grinning mischievously when he did, striding up behind the chair to lean down and gasp dramatically enough to hopefully startle the other.
@han jisung Between studies, teaching and his general business of the day, the times Minho would force himself to eat always changed. He was used to it, it wasn't healthy, but it was the norm for him. It almost made him laugh; it seemed like the only time he'd eat at an appropriate time was because he was with another person. This time around, it was Jisung, another pain in his that he still found to hold the slightest bit of affection for, as he typically did for his underclassmen.
Minho dropped his bag beside the library table, plopping into the chair with a huff due to how tired he was from class. He mindlessly scrolled through his phone while waiting for Jisung, mostly looking at emails that came from other students.
@kim sunwoo she let out a chuckle as she noticed that they were perhaps being a bit too loud for a library. the female smiled as she watched him and covered so that she wouldn’t laugh loudly. “it is!”
she agreed and then smiled at him. “mm, mm! yes, i have a psycholinguistics class this semester! a neurobiology too... that one is hard!”
hyejin chuckled quietly as she then heard his next words. “oh gosh - i honestly know nothing about coding and language of computers... you must be quite smart, mm?” she said and she flashed him a kind smile.
@christopher bang chan The cap of a gel pen rested against sticky, glossed tiers, gently prodding into the pillowy set. An exam sheet was filled with colored, glittery scribbles and yellow highlights. Lalisa been at the study guide for hours and in retrospect, maybe the darling should've napped instead of flirted with a certain swim team captain. But /no/ he had to be adorable and blonde, so sleep (regrettably). The guy was a total dork and matched her humor- which was rare. Not many could. Hence, despite being exhausted and absolutely done with the day, a sprinkle of excitement dusted her nerves. Christopher's presence in the group chat was warm and grounded, as was his baritone voice. Syrupy and sweet, like honey on fresh toast. Dangerous.
"You're late," the lie slipped through with ease, but the girlish grin tainting Lalisa's visage gave her away, doe eyes flitting up trace the stranger's sharp features, curious and adoring. "For that, you've got to pay a late fee." Unable to contain the little wiggle of happiness that coursed through her body once the jacket engulfed her smaller frame, Lalisa took a bold step closer, gaze glimmering with a sheen of mischief as she tilted her head back, a single nail tapping her cheek. "You owe me a kiss, sir."
@kim sunwoo “it’s okay! don’t worry, dear!” she commented and smiled as she shook his hand. she then nodded her head. “mm yes! i’ve seen you there before too!” she added with a small chuckle. she watched as the other then moved his hands and began looking at the books. “mm... what were you reading?” she asked him, curiously.
@lalisa manoban Chris really didn't expect this meet up to happen. While he was grateful to finally see the beautiful face of the woman he had been flirting with until this moment, he still, was a bit nervous. It wasn't anything serious, he knew that very well, but he still couldn't stop the worried thoughts that prodded around his mind. If anything, the most he wanted to do was make sure Lalisa was just as comfortable in person as she was in the group-chat, where they all joked around.
His eyes surveyed the library for a few seconds when he entered, a smile tugging at his lips at the last text she had sent him. Chris's fingers almost began typing a reply, but he figured it'd just be better to speak in person. Catching the side profile of the very girl he was here to meet, his feet came to a stop beside her table. "Hey sweetheart, been waiting too long?" He began shrugging out of his jacket, quickly pulling his arms out to replace with her own. "Figured you'd feel a lot warmer if I was already wearing it on my way over."
@kim sunwoo she peeked at him, amused as she heard his words and she brushed her hands against her thighs a bit. “alright!” she agreed and then smiled. “oh-“ she then started and blushed a bit. “well, thank you, dear!” she replied to the sweet compliment. “i don’t believe that we’ve told each other our names yet, right? i’m hwasa!” she told him as she placed her books down and extended her hands to him so that he could shake it if he wanted to. she also noticed his relaxed posture now. “oh! the books? it’s just psycholinguistics and sociology books!” she told him and smiled as she passed him the books. the first one was about the neurological development of bilingual children and the second one was about stereotypes and how it can affect people. she also had a book about social psychology - theories and introduction to it...
