The Peaks

@nakamoto yuta Distracted by the considerable amount of woodland surrounding the trail, I had barely thought about the toll of carrying the load til you pointed it out and by the time I stopped to watch you on the rock, I tilted my head toward the duffle before my face lit up in amusement and I removed the strap from around my shoulder to hold it out to you though not without also holding my hand out to take your bag as well. I don't continue until we've properly exchanged and there's plenty of fuss over making sure you drink water as well before we finish our trek, and luckily for us, the weather was fairing perfectly in our favor.

@huang renjun while carrying a very convenient(not) plastic bag in one of my hands, i allow the wind to play with my locks while we hike on a particularly steep bit. luckily my athleticism came in handy - but it was the adrenaline of joy that had me skip a few steps, ready to get the hard part over with. "quite nice, actually." pausing with both my feet on a rock, i turn at the waist to reach my hand out toward you. "by the way, we said halfway right? so i guess it's my turn now." curls my fingers as a gesture for you to hand me the load of the dufflebag, quite surprised you hadn't dumped it onto me a lot earlier.

@nakamoto yuta taking advantage of the much needed chance to stretch my legs after the seemingly endless train ride out, I don't mind the trek it takes up the trail that leads to the top of the highest peak, just far enough away from the observatory to be out of earshot and away from the general public. safest spot for a makeshift private range. Halfway up, I realize how grateful I am for orthotic insoles and I adjust my duffle as I check in on you, already assuming you're fairing better than I am at this point. "not too bad so far, right? we should be to the top soon... At least I think so-" murmuring the last part, I squint a bit, capping my waterjug as I guestimate.
